Chapter 2: What Ails You

Scene 1: Flashback, 2 years and 8 months ago

(4 months have passed since Newton met Brody. They were now fishing.)

Newton: So, what do you have to do again?

Brody: Hold the fishing spear above your head then thrust it in the water to where the fish is. Time it right and you caught a fish.)

Newton: Okay.

(Brody already caught 3 fish. Newton struck his spear into the water and caught one.)

Newton: Hey, I got one!

(The fish then all swam away.)

Brody: Looks like they got smart. Time to go back.

(Newton and Brody took their caught fish and headed back.)

Scene 2: Present Day, Storm Realm

(Newton arrived at the docks of the Storm Realm. He didn't notice that his bag was shaking.)

Newton: Okay. Let's go.

(He noticed that his pack felt a lot heavier than normal. He opened to find... Spike?)

Spike: Oof!

Newton: Spike! What were you doing in there?

Spike: Why did you even leave the group?

Newton: Forget it.

Spike: I could call you a coward.

Newton: Not now.

Spike: What is this place?

Newton: The Storm Realm.

(Spike couldn't believe it. This was the Storm Realm? The Storm Realm in Spike's imagination was supposed to be lacking in life, constant thunder and lightning and a dark spooky castle. But this place had the woods, a beach, and was cloudy. Their castle was not even dark nor spooky.)

Spike: Wow, I though it would be...

Newton: More evil looking?

Spike: Yeah.

Newton: Well your people treat us like monsters.

(Newton grabbed his pack and jumped off the boat.)

Spike: Where are you going?

Newton: To the castle, that's where I live.

Spike: I know you're a prince to the Storm Realm, but do you have to remind me?

Newton: I thought you forgot.

Spike: Well I didn't. I'm going with you.

Newton: Ugh, fine.

(Spike followed Newton into the woods.)

Scene 3: Kludgetown

(Twilight walked inside Newton's temporary bedroom.)

Twilight: Okay, Newt. What's makes you so angry to Yearling?

?: If you want to find out, it's not in here.

(It was Leon. Twilight backed off.)

Twilight: Leon!

Leon: You want to find out what disturbs Newton so greatly?

Twilight: Yes.

Leon: I don't know either. What I do know is that it's not the first time he acted like this.

Twilight: What?

Leon: He acted like this 5 years ago; on his birthday. He went outside for fresh air and came back, like what you're seeing right now.

Twilight: You mean...

Leon: At first, we though he was having a bad birthday and that he'll get over it tomorrow. But no, just no. He was acting all upset and we didn't know why. And it's happening until now.

Twilight: Did you get any leads?

Leon: All I know is that something about Yearling is making him upset.

Twilight: That's not getting us anywhere.

Leon: What I also know whenever his teacher says something about stealing or any word related to it, He gets really frustrated. And don't say "plagiarism" to him. He literally stands up, walks out of the room, and screams in anger.

Twilight: Plagiarism?

Leon: Taking someone else's work and passing it off as your own.

Twilight: Does Newton really act like this?

Leon: Yes. He asked to be dropped out of school and to ban any word related to stealing.

Twilight: They literally did that?

Leon: I don't know what troubles him so much. That's why he ran away from home.

(Twilight's mind went to a screeching halt.)

Twilight: Wait, I thought he was banished!

Leon: We made that up. I'm sure he made that up too.

(Now Twilight was hyperventilating.)

Twilight: No, No, No , No! This is all wrong!

Leon: For now, let's focus on what makes Newton so mad at Yearling.

(That caused Twilight to snap out of her troubled mind.)

Twilight: Something about Yearling and stealing.

Leon: Maybe Yearling stole something of his!

Twilight: That could be it! Wait, what does plagiarism have to do with this?

Leon: Maybe Yearling plagiarized his work. Or maybe he plagiarized her!

Twilight: But why would Newton be mad if he plagiarized her?

Leon: I don't know. But it's the best idea I could come up with.

Scene 4: Storm Realm, The Woods

(Spike tried to keep up.)

Spike(panting): Newton... can we... slow down... for a bit?

Newton: You can ride on my back.

(Spike got on Newton. They continued to walk.)

Spike: (whistling)

Newton: This is exciting. Doing nothing.

Spike: Look, I'm trying to keep you in a good mood. You've been acting all grumpy ever since Yearling arrived.

Newton: Don't. Ever. Say. Her. Name.

Spike: What is it? Yearling?

Newton: Augh.

Spike: Seriously, what's your problem with her?

Newton: Just stop.

Spike: Look, I'm trying to help you.

Newton: It doesn't like helping, instead you're acting like a jerk.

Spike: A what?

Newton: Someone who doesn't leave someone else alone.

(Spike then just changed the subject.)

Spike: We should stop for today.

Newton: We have to keep moving, it's not safe to camp here.

Scene 5: Abandoned Train Station, Dusk

(Spike was getting drowsy, so Newton had to carry him. How could he fall asleep so early?)

Spike: So. Tired.

Newton: Look!

(It was an abandoned train station. Newton and Spike ran inside.)

Newton: Okay. Now we can camp here.

(growl)

Spike: What was that?

Newton: Must be your stomach.

Spike: Yeah, got any food?

(Newton handed Spike an apple from his pack.)

Newton: Eat.

(Spike took the apple.)

Spike: Okay. What about you?

Newton: I'm fine thanks. You should get some rest then.

(Spike finished the rest of the apple then yawned.)

Spike: What about you?

Newton: I have to stay up and watch. Someone could get in here.

Spike: You seriously got nerves of steel.

Newton: Just sleep.

Spike: But it's cold in here.

Newton: Let me look around.

(Newton saw a dial on a machine. He turned it halfway up. The temperature became lukewarm.)

Spike: What was that you turned on?

Newton: A heater. Useful for cold weather.

Spike: You know, maybe this place isn't so bad.

(Spike closed his eyes and slept.)
