"I know that you usually get 500 dollars from your father, and you don't use it. I hate to ask such a thing of you...but I couldn't find anyone else. Percy, do you think you could support us for while?" Bianca asked hopefully.
Percy then wrote something. Bianca, you didn't have to ask. I'll be your supporter for as long as it is needed. I'm here to help you.
Chapter 10
"Nico!" "Thalia!" Both Hades and Zeus yelled back, shock apparent on their faces as they saw their children. There stood their children, which made them happy. But, a small, tiny spark of jealousy appeared in both of the men's stomachs when they heard that the two kids were here for Poseidon, their uncle.
Suddenly looks of anger appeared on both of the young teens as they look at their parents. "Oh, hi Zeus" greeted Thalia, her eyes brimming with controlled rage as she clenched her fists.
"Sorry, we have no time to talk with either of you. We came to see our uncle for...business." Nico glared at Hades and Zeus before spinning around towards Poseidon. He smiled at his uncle, then tilting his head towards the door. Trying to signal the man to leave the meeting. Poseidon, who understood, nodded his head.
He stood up, brushing invisible dust particles from his suit. "Well brothers, I'm going to have to cut our meeting short" he said. He started walking towards the door, when he heard Hades murmur something to Nico.
"How are you?" Hades asked the question quietly, so only Poseidon and Nico were able to hear his words. Nico just looked away from his father, face in an emotionless mask that he had perfected years ago.
"I'm fine, having a great time at my school. Perce is in the same school as Thals and I. Talking about Percy, we have to go. Good day now," Nico hurriedly answered, then he walked out of the door. Not even waiting for an answer or response. Thalia just followed him, hoping to leave the awkward moment.
Poseidon shifted slightly, leaning all of his weight on his left leg so that he was facing his brothers. He gave them a weak grin before leaving, closing the door shut with a click. He sighed as soon as he was out of his brother's sights. Meeting with his family about family had always been stressful, especially between the 'big three'.
"So, what do you need. Not that I'm not thankful for both of you stopping that stupid meeting, but really, what is it?" Poseidon raised an eyebrow as excitement shined through both of the young teenager's eyes.
"Read this!" Thalia exclaimed before shoving her phone into her uncle's face. Poseidon read the text, his eyes widening at each word. He stood there, stunned as he handing back the cellphone to its rightful owner.
"He, he wants to meet up with you?" Poseidon asked Nico, who also showed the man his cellphone that had the same message. Nico nodded, happiness shining through his eyes as he held the phone.
"Yeah, we wanted to know if you wanted to come. Maybe you could patch everything up with him, too," explained Thalia, her voice holding a hopeful tone. Poseidon shook his head, sadness welling up inside of him.
"You know I can't. He would probably give up on trying to forgive you if you suddenly drag his absent father to the meeting. I don't want everything to be ruined because I came with the hopes of fixing my relationship with my son." Poseidon told them in such a miserable voice that Thalia flinched in sympathy. Nico just looked at them incredulously.
"I think you should come. Percy needs his father, after acting like the fatherly figure to Tyson, he has lost his childhood. So he needs you to bring the chance back up, even if he says-well, writes that he doesn't."
Stunned, Thalia stared at her cousin. Nico just cocked his head to the side, confusion clear on his face. "Where is the real Nico and what have you done with him," asked Thalia, making Nico huff in frustration. He glared at his cousin before stomping on her foot.
"I'm trying to be reasonable, stop ruining it" he snapped, starting a glaring war with the other teenager. Poseidon chuckled at the sibling-like actions coming from the two.
"Fine, I'll come. So, any good cafes you know?" Thalia brightened up before grabbing the older man's arm and dragging him towards the elevator, leaving the son of Hades to stand there.
"I know this wonderful cafe! It's called Starbucks, and they make coffees, teas, milkshakes, cake pops, and a whole lot of other things." Thalia started to rant about the heavenly place as they all waited for the elevator door to open. Once it did, the daughter of Zeus paused to turn around.
"Nico, you're paying this time. You owe me for stepping on my feet" chirped the blue eyed girl as she happily closed the elevator doors on the boy's face.
"Oka-WHAT! No way in hell! You get back here right now Thalia Grace!"

Annabeth sighed as she put away her homework. While she usually didn't mind some work, today just didn't seem the day. She couldn't concentrate properly, her mind wandering off. All she can think about is a certain green-eyed boy. Her studies were getting harder to appreciate as she thought of all those fun times Percy had given her. Like when they got icecream, or when they went to the park to draw again. Those are the moments she now cherished the most, the moments that she promised to implant into her head for forever.
Annabeth sighed as she played with her book. It was a book that talked about architecture, one of her favorite subjects. But no matter how wonderful the book was, Annabeth just wasn't in the mood.
She couldn't get a certain green-eyed boy out of her head. He had been on her mind for quite a while. He seemed to appear everywhere, everything reminded her of him. Like yesterday, she was looking at her blender and she immediately thought of Percy, just because the stupid machine was green! And it wasn't even the same shade of his eyes, it was more like an emerald color… Okay, getting off topic.
Annabeth glared at her book, as if it was the reason behind all of her problems. She kept on glaring, wanting the book to do something worth being angry at. But it just stayed there, like the inanimate object it was.
"Stupid book, stupid feelings, stupid boy who is making me feel like an idio-". Annabeth's rant about stupid people and stupid things was interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
She ran down the stairs, hoping to get a distraction from her book. She opened the door and felt her heart skip a beat. Percy stood there, his hands in his pockets as he smiled at her. He was wearing a plain, blue t-shirt and regular jeans, nothing special, yet he still managed to make the outfit look model worthy. His sea green eyes were shining with happiness as he silently greeted her: a tilt of his head and a lopsided grin.
"Hey Seaweed brain! What are you doing here?" Annabeth felt a genuine smile appearing on her face. She then looked to Percy's side and felt her smile falter. A girl stood next to Percy, she was a beautiful half-italian. She had brown eyes and glossy black hair that was braided. She wore a silver hunter's outfit that was matched by a bow and arrow.
'Who is this girl? Is she Percy's girlfriend?' Annabeth frowned at her thoughts. 'It doesn't matter if she is Percy's girlfriend, I'm supposed to be happy for him. He's my friend, just a friend'
I'm here to ask if you want to come to the cafe with Bia and I. This is Bianca, she's my cousin. We're going because Demeter is off and Katie is in charge. So that means that I can make you guys some free cookies without my boss screeching at me.
Annabeth felt relief flood her when she read Percy's words. 'So this girl was just his cousin. That was good, that meant Percy didn't have a girlfriend...that she knew about.'
"Yeah, I'll come with you guys. And it's nice to meet you, Bianca," said Annabeth as she put her sandals on. She put the house keys in her pocket and locked the door behind her. Percy beamed at her while Bianca smiled.
"It's wonderful to meet you to, Annabeth. I've heard a lot about you from Percy." Bianca smirked as she watched the two younger teens flush with embarrassment. Percy nudged her side with his elbow before turning to the blonde teenager.
How have you been Wise girl? We haven't seen each other for a while.
A smile tugged at Annabeth's face. "I've been doing fine, I almost finished the mini parthenos." A guilty look crossed Percy's face, and he wrote something down.
I'm sorry that you had to do that yourself. I wish I could help, but the bakery has been busy, and I'm starting to...rethink some decisions.
"It's okay Seaweed Brain, you did most of the poster anyways. What do you mean by rethinking some decisions?" Annabeth was curious, Percy was usually very smart when it came to feelings. So it must have been something to do with his cousins.
A happy look crossed the boy's face. I'm going to talk with Thalia and Nico about...the accident. I want to forgive them, I want my best friends and cousins back.
Annabeth felt sadness fill her. Nico and Thalia. She wasn't sure if she could forgive them, she knew that Percy would, though. That is just who Percy is, he is forgiving and caring. The perfect friend to have, loyal to the fault. A sigh racks through her body, everything seemed so complicated.
"We're here," announced Bianca as she opened the cafe doors like she was walking in to her home. By the way Percy smiled, Annabeth could tell that Bianca and him were close. 'That's good' Annabeth decided, 'Percy deserves a loyal family member.'
She couldn't help but remember bumping into Poseidon the other day. She knew that Poseidon and Percy were related, but something inside of her didn't have the guts to say it. Because what would happen once it was out in the open? Would Percy become some rich kid that eventually forgot her? The little blonde girl who helped him with his history project. Annabeth didn't want that, so he kept quiet.
You guys hang around, I'll bake some cookies.
Annbeth and Bianca talked for awhile, both becoming friends. It wasn't hard to like Bianca, she was a confident, smart, and happy girl that was a free spirit. Annabeth learned that Bianca was in a group called the Hunters of Artemis, or HOA for short. If you joined, you had to promise to not have romantic relationships with males, and in return, you would be able to learn how to track, hunt, use the bow and arrow, etc. It seemed interesting, but Annabeth wouldn't have joined in a million years. It didn't fit her, she was a bookworm at heart.
Annabeth also learned that Bianca was one of the only people who had supported Percy, but disappeared almost completely once he went into Juvy. She lost that sister-brother connection with Nico, and rarely talked to any family members. She came to Percy for help a few days ago, since he got money from his father. She needed it because her group's lieutenant had died, and they had become broke.
Soon, Percy joined them with blue cookies that melted in their mouths. They were the most delicious cookies Annabeth had ever tasted. She ate tons of them, nearly half of the batch. After hours of conversation, Annabeth knew she had to leave. While she was alone that day, her father and step-mom would soon come home with her brothers. So with that, she said her goodbyes and left.
"Bye Seaweed Brain, Bianca. It was a pleasure to talk with you guys, but I have to go. My parents will get worried." Bianca waved at her and Percy wrote her a note.
Okay, goon night Wise girl. I'll see you later, thanks for coming. Annabeth smiled and tucked the note into her pocket and walked out.
"So," Bianca started once Annabeth left. She leaned forward, a mischievous smirk on her face. "This Annabeth girl, is she the one you're crushing on?"
At that, Percy flushed red and glared at his cousin. He nodded his head quickly, before banging his forehead onto the table they were sitting at. All the while, his cousin was having the time of her life, teasing him as her laughter chimed throughout the nearly empty cafe.
