First off, I want to apologize for the extremely belated update. The past semester was extremely stressful for me and I had to focus on my schoolwork so I could keep my scholarship. So, I hope you guys can forgive me on that because my schoolwork is my top priority. Though I'm out for the summer so updates should be faster (because I have no life).

I was kind of iffy on this chapter. I wrote like the first half back in January and I expanded it like a couple days ago. But I feel like this chapter is really slow and fast same time, which doesn't make sense. I don't know. I feel like some details are rushed. So like if things are, let me know so I can like back up some. I like the ending and I'm going to expand the scenario at the end in the next chapter. The next chapter is also going to reveal Captain Dickwad's (that's what I'm going him at the moment) identity. Well, his human name, at least. I'm not revealing "exactly" who he is, yet. You're going to have to wait on that. Um, there are a good many reviews I've replied to so sorry for the inconvenience on that. Besides that, I love you guys and I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Dragonmaster789: I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Rinpup14: Same. I'd probably bug them to see what they knew.

Jemstone6259: Aha. Thanks. That line was totally a Lydia line. (But she also thinks he's cute, so what?)

Hanamaruko: Just wait and see. It'll be explained later.

Em: Well, here's the update. Forever and a day later. Sorry about that.

Valleydoodle01: I'm glad you're enjoying it c:

Chocolatelover2girl: I like their relationship, too. I have ideas for their relationship yet I'm not sure what direction I'm leading it to. And I'm probably going to release That Person's identity a couple chapters or so from this one. Though in the next chapter you'll find out his Earth name.

Alice.8: I'm glad you love it c: And yeah. They're pretty cute. I actually ship Yui and Takeru together. I think they're cute together. I don't know if I'm going to put them together in the story or not though because I still haven't figured out who I'm pairing Lydia with. And I'm glad you like Loki in this story c: And you're English is fine. Don't worry.

Alice: My French teacher would be so ashamed but what? Je ne comprends pas :/

Zandriana: I'm glad you like Lydia! I thought that they were missing someone like her, too. It would've been interesting to see how they actually act around someone like her. And I'm not sure who I'm pairing her with yet. And thank you for being patient! I'm sorry for my slowness.

Ana-Shadow-Wolf: First off, thank you for the review. I really enjoyed reading it. I also feel you on procrastinating college work. I'm the ultimate procrastinator. And yes! I wouldn't easily trust the gods either, but I'd probably at least try to talk to make the best of it. But I'm an awkward penguin and I'd probably sound like an idiot to them. (And yeah. A lot of gods were jerks in mythology.) I'm glad you like Lydia. I didn't want her to be the typical "nice girl" that's in a lot of fics, plus Yui is a really nice girl but she also has backbone which is great and I love her. I also didn't want her to be complete bitch but actually care about others. She's just guarded because of her past. Though I'd like to clarify that she wasn't raped. What happened to her will be explained in the next chapter. I'm also glad that you like hers and Yui's friendship. I've been getting worried that I've been neglecting it so I'm going to try to bring out more in later chapter. Also, thank you for saying she's not a Mary Sue. I get extremely worried about that and I always rethink everything I write because of it.

Guest: Thank you! c: And yeah, he's a good. That's how Takeru and Tsukito know him. His story will be explained in later chapters.

Shaddowridder221: I'm glad you're liking it so far. I'm sorry for the belated update. And I don't think I'll be doing another story anything soon. Especially since I just started a Naruto fanfic as well.

ShinsengumiWarrior: Again, I apologize for the belated update! Though I'm glad you're enjoying it. And I'm glad you like Lydia c:

MagicalPuttemtator: I'm glad you like the plot c:

Ridlex: He didn't rape her. Their relationship will be explained next chapter to add some insight so just wait until then.

Niyah606: Here's the terribly belated update xD

Moonshadow396: I'm glad you find it interesting and hopefully you've been patient with my slowness.

menehune: I'm glad you like it! c:

"Hey, Lydia!" Yui waves her hand in front of Lydia's face. "Are you listening to me?"

Lydia had been listening to Yui. All morning. Apparently the Great Grumps had agreed to practice swordplay with Yui after defeating her the night before. Now Yui and Takeru were going to be practicing every morning and afternoon. For some reason, the fact that they would be spending so much time together bothered Lydia.

"I am. I just really don't care what you and the Great Grumps do together. As long as you're safe, I don't care," Lydia huffs, clutching her bag a little tighter.

Yui frowns. "Please tell me you didn't mean that in a perverted way."

Lydia smirks. "Of course not." She stops walking when they reach the tennis courts. A blonde on the court waved excitedly once he noticed them. "Now if you excuse me, I promised a bubbly blonde that I would play a match with him."

"Oh yeah," Yui calls out as Lydia begins to walk toward Balder. "I thought you were going to play the flute?" Yui questions.

Lydia looks over her shoulder and shrugs. "After giving it some thought, I don't wanna get out of practice."

The truth was actually that she didn't want to do an activity that would involve her being alone. Lydia doubted that her tormentor would bother her when she had a couple of Gods with her. Well, she did choose the most dimwitted God out of the bunch, however. Balder didn't come to mind when she pictured someone protecting another person. Who knew, maybe Balder could actually hold his own in a fight? Lydia quickly shakes the idea away. Balder was far too sweet to get in a fight with anyone, even if it would be with that monster.

"Lydia!" Balder exclaims with his arms spread out as he runs toward her.

Before the blonde God had a chance to grab her, Lydia side steps out of the way leading the blonde tripping over his feet and falling on the ground. Trying to hold back her laughter, Lydia stands over the blonde God with her hands on her hips.

"Balder," she muses with smile etched across her face. "We gotta work on that clumsiness of yours." Lydia shakes her head at him.

Balder sits up on his elbows with a pout formed on his lips. "Don't make fun of me, Lydia," he whines with a fake cry.

Balder holds his hand out which Lydia grabs. As she helps him off the ground, Lydia noticed a familiar face standing in a crowd of students. The person holds up a sheet of paper and shakes his head at her, obvious displeasure etched on his face. Lydia's breath catches in her throat as she watches the person turn around and walk away from the crowd of people. Tightening her grip on Balder's hand subconsciously, Lydia struggles to catch her breath. He had just caught her talking to Balder. What if he thought she was flirting with him? That wouldn't be good. It would only anger him. She wasn't supposed to get close to any other guys. Though she only helped Balder up. Surely that didn't count, right? Then again, he always threw things out of proportion.

As Lydia was thinking, Balder stares down at the red head with a worried expression on his face. Tugging on her hand, Balder calls out her name. "Lydia, are you alright?" He questions in a troubled tone. When she doesn't answer, he calls out her name a few more times.

Finally noticing Balder's voice, Lydia snaps her attention back toward the blonde. "Huh?" Lydia questions, a look of confusion growing on her face.

Balder looks at her for a moment, his brows furrowing. "You were staring into space for a few seconds, even after I called your name."

Scratching the back of her head, she says, "Really? I didn't notice."

Balder stares at her for another moment before moving his hand so his fingers intertwined with hers. "Let's go get something to eat," he announces, pulling Lydia along while he walks toward the school.

A gasp leaves Lydia's mouth as she quickens her pace to keep up with Balder. "Why are we getting food? We haven't even practiced yet," she complains, not happy at the blonde pulling her along.

Balder smiles down at her. "Don't worry about that. You're upset about something and when I'm upset, I eat," he states like it was nothing.

Lydia bites her lip. She hadn't expected Balder to pick up on her mood swings. Balder was someone she had always considered to be dense. Apparently she had been wrong since he knew something was bothering her.

"Alright," she agrees reluctantly.

There was no point in arguing with him. After these past few weeks, Lydia had learned that Balder wasn't the type to easy change his mind. Once he set it on something, he was determined to go through with it. It was something that she respected about the guy. He wasn't afraid to chase after something he wanted. She just hoped that she wouldn't get his good intentions thrown back in his face by a certain person.

As they reach the cafeteria, Lydia notices a couple of familiar faces sitting at a table on the other side of the room. Pulling on Balder's hand, Lydia says, "There's your friends."

Balder looks down at her then across the room. Sitting at the table was Loki and Thor, both who were eating a plate of food. Balder lets go of Lydia's hand and motions at the two Norse gods. "I'll get us something, go sit with them," he states.

Lydia looks back over the Norse gods, specifically Loki. "I'd rather not."

Balder pushes her toward the table. "Oh, don't worry about Loki. He'll be okay," he states with a smile.

Lydia didn't have a chance to protest since Balder had already grabbed her hand and was pulling her in the direction of the other Norse gods. Thor notices them first, giving them a short glance over before returning his attention to the pancake he was poking at with a fork. Reaching the table, Balder pulls out chair for Lydia to sit in. Loki glances up from his food and scowl decorates his face when he takes notice of Lydia. Rolling her eyes, Lydia sits down on the chair and crosses her arms over her chest.

"Who said you can sit here?" Loki asks with the scowl still planted on his face.

Lydia nods her head in Balder's direction. "I was forced against my will," she states blankly.

Sighing deeply, Loki closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. It was almost insulting how much her presence upset the red haired god. If she was a sensitive person she would've been. However she found it completely amusing how much she could bothered him without even speaking a word. It made her wonder what else she could do without speaking that would bother him.

"Hey." Balder places a hand on Lydia's shoulder, sending shutters down her body. "What would like to eat?" He smiles down at her while leaning over her.

Pressing her lips together, Lydia tries to remember what she liked for breakfast. The pass couple mornings she hadn't been eating from stress. "A muffin," she states as the image comes to her mind.

"Alright! I'll be back in a couple minutes," Balder chimes before leaving for the breakfast line.

Aware that Balder was gone, Lydia attempts to move herself farther into her seat. It was completely uncomfortable to be so close to Loki. It was far too early in the morning to be dealing with his attitude, and the glares he was sending her from across the table.

After a few more glares, Lydia slaps her hands on the table. "Aye, you got a staring problem? Get your eyes off of me," she hisses.

Loki rolls his eyes while making a 'tsking' sound. "There's not much to look at," he mocks.

The comment made Lydia furrow her brows before a sly smile etches across her face. "Got your attention enough to look," she shoots back.

Loki snorts. "As if. I bet you're only a size B."

Lydia lets out a mocking laugh. "Bitch, is you blind? I'm a size C," she remarks, earning a slight smirk from the thunder god beside Loki.

"Huh?" Loki questions, lowering his gaze on Lydia. "Guess I got distracted by that ugly face of yours," he comments before leaning back in his seat and placing his hands on the back of his head.

"Bitch, shut your face," Lydia snaps at him as she leans back in her seat.

"Okay, okay," a voice calls from behind her. Jumping a little in her seat, Lydia turns around to see Balder standing behind her with a frown etched into his face. "Will you two quit insulting each other?" He puts the food onto the table before sitting his chair.

Crossing her arms over her chest, Lydia rolls her eyes at the blonde. "He started it," she remarks, sending a glare at Loki.

"I would never," the redhead muses while twirling a strand of hair around his finger. "You know I would never insult her, right, Balder?" Loki bats his eyes at Balder.

Lydia lets out a mocking laugh. "Oh please, you're always being a jerk. Don't act like a saint just because Balder is here."

Loki opens his mouth to say something but is interrupted when Balder claps his hands. "Okay, just stop you two. I know you don't like each other but can you at least be civil," Balder questions with a frown.

Lydia and Loki glance at each other, both making a face at each other before turning their attention back to Balder. "I guess we can do that," Lydia says while grabbing her muffin.

"Whatever," Loki mutters and rests his elbows on the table.

"Good," Balder beams before taking a bite of his bacon. After a moment, Balder turns his body so he's facing Lydia. "So, are you and Takeru close?"

Lydia almost chokes on her muffin when the question leaves Balder's lips. "Pardon," she questions, not really knowing what to think of the question. It was so random that it took her by surprise. Why would Balder want to know if she was close to Takeru? How was that any of his concern? And what was the sudden darkness that flashed through his eyes at that moment?

"Are you and Takeru close?" The blonde seemed completely oblivious to how odd his question was. Surely he could see that Lydia and Takeru weren't that close? Or did their casual relationship seem extra friendly to everyone else?

Lydia shrugs. "I wouldn't say we're close, no. He's just someone I talk to in order to pass the time," Lydia answers, not completely sure on how to describe hers and Takeru's relationship. He was just an acquaintance, not even a friend in her book.

"Oh, it seemed like you were more than friends," Balder mutters, another flash of darkness passing through his eyes.

Lydia shakes her head. "Um, no. We're not even friends, I don't think."

"That's good," Balder sighs with a smile.

Furrowing her brows, Lydia asks, "How's it good?" She folds up the muffin's wrapper before sitting it on the table, a little disturbed by the blonde sitting beside her.

Balder's eyes widen like he just realized something. "Oh, I mean it's good that you're opening up to people now." Balder grabs another piece of bacon and shoves it in his mouth.

Lydia nods before standing up. "Okay," she draws the word out as she takes a couple steps away from the table. "I'm going to head to class now. I just remembered that I have Yui's notebook and I need to return it to her." Grabbing her bag, Lydia turns to walk away when a hand grabs her arm.

Lydia spins around, panic shooting throughout her body. Balder was smiling down at her as he held his plate of trash and his bag in his other hand. "I'll go with you," he states with a smile.

Closing her free hand into a fist, Lydia shakes her head. "No, it's fine. I can go by myself." Her voice was shaky despite her trying to control her breathing.

"We're both in the same class. It wouldn't make sense for you to walk by yourself," Balder persists, his smile still plastered on his face. However, Lydia noticed the dark look in his eyes, something that was becoming more frequent the closer she got to him.

Before Lydia could reject him again, a force separates the two of them, pushing Lydia back. Tripping over her feet, Lydia grabs onto the nearest chair to steady her balance. As a few profanities leave her mouth, Lydia looks in the direction of Balder, taking notice of Loki standing in between them. Loki had his hand around Balder's wrist, a look of annoyance on his face.

"Just let her go, Balder," Loki states as tension grows between him and Balder. At this, Lydia furrows her brows. Out of all the people at the academy, Loki was the last person she thought would defend her.

"Tch," Balder breathes as his jaw tightens. He slaps Loki's hand away. "What does it matter to you, Loki?" Balder questions in aggravation and he cocks one eyebrow.

Loki crosses his arms over his chest. "I just thought we could spend more time together, Bal-Bal," he pouts.

Confusion washes over Balder's face before he blinks a couple times. "I guess that makes sense," he mutters as he scratches his cheek. The tension that had been in the air was fading away as Balder took on a calm demeanor.

Seeing that Balder was finally acting normal, Lydia turns away and walks toward the exit. Well, she was more running than speed walking. She didn't want Balder trying to talk to her again, especially after his little episode. Lydia didn't know what to think about Balder's change of attitude. Usually he was so nice but at that moment he seemed so threatening. It was a side that she didn't want to associate with, especially since it reminded her so much of him.

After leaving the cafeteria, Lydia walks down the hall at a normal pace. She knew there was still a good amount of time before class began and she had no intentions of sitting in the classroom by herself. Actually, she didn't want to be alone. As long as she kept someone with her, he wouldn't bother her.

At this thought, Lydia lets out a long sigh. "Now what do I do? Tennis is a no go at the moment," Lydia grumbles as she twirls a hair band around her fingers.

"Hey!" A voice shouts from behind Lydia.

"Looks like my prayers have been answered," Lydia grumbles before turning around. The person who was calling for her caused her to widen her eyes. She never thought they would actively chase after her. Usually they only talked to her when they crossed paths. "Well, well. What do I owe the honor?" Lydia places her hands on her hips as a smirk etches across her face.

After catching up with her, Loki spits, "Stay away from Balder."

"Ouch. And here I thought we could have a civil conversation," Lydia mocks as she places a hand on her chest. The amusement in her attitude goes away when Loki shoots her a glare. At this, Lydia crosses her arms over chest. "Why should I listen to you?"

Loki clicks his tongue. "Just stay away from him or else," Loki warns in irritation.

Lydia chuckles. "Or else what? You're going to catch me on fire? You're powers are gone, remember?"

Loki takes a couples forward before he grabs Lydia's arm and yanks her toward him. "I have other ways of making your life hell while we're here," he sneers.

Lydia looks down his hand on her arm before glaring at him. "What does it matter to you anyways?" Lydia didn't see how her relationship with Balder was his concern. She especially didn't see why she needed Loki's permission to talk to him.

"Doesn't matter. Just stay away from Balder," Loki growls before letting her arm go.

Just when Loki starts to walk away, Lydia asks, "Are you gay?"

At this question, Loki stops in his tracks and spins around on his heel. Marching back over to her, he points a finger at Lydia. "Where'd you get that idea from?"

Her question seemed to have thrown him off, seeing as Loki didn't appear angry anymore but more confused. "I just seems that you're jealous," Lydia answers with a shrug.

Loki squints at her before throwing his head back, laughter leaving him. Lydia arches a brow as she watches him clutch onto his sides and bend over from laughter. Once he calms down, he wipes his eyes and straightens his posture. "Even if I was gay, I wouldn't be threatened by the likes of you," Loki states, his usual smirk planted on his face.

Lydia clicks her tongue. "Piss off, Loki," she grumbles.

Loki chuckles at this before turning on his heel. "I'm being serious. Stay away from him," he calls over his shoulder as he walks away from her.

After the last class was over, Lydia took the opportunity to go running. Since she had been at the academy, she had been slacking on her exercise. She guessed that she got too caught up in distractions and her own self-pity that she just neglected her responsibilities. Her team captain would kill her if she got out of shape.

"She's a scary person," Lydia mutters to herself once she reaches the tennis courts.

Taking a break, Lydia grabs a towel and sits at one of the benches that was at the tennis courts. She glances around the area to see if anyone was around, absentmindedly wiping the sweat off of her neck and arms. The place was pretty empty aside from a couple of students hanging around the area. The gods were busy doing their own thing, Apollon and Balder taking the day off from practicing themselves. Lydia suspected that they were probably eavesdropping on Takeru and Yui, though. The boys at the academy could never keep their nose in their own business.

"It would be nice to have someone to talk to, though," Lydia continues to talk to herself. Standing up, she grabs her racket off her bag and a few balls before walking over to the practice wall. Since no one from the tennis club was there, she had to practice by herself. "Just for thirty minutes to an hour," she mumbles as she dribbles a ball before tossing it into the air and hitting her racket against it.

After practicing for what felt like over thirty minutes, Lydia had managed to mess up a few times. Her messing up led to her becoming irritated. Growling slightly, she places the racket between her legs so she could fix her hair. As she pulls her hair out of the ponytail she had it in so she could lace her fingers through her hair, a voice calls out to her.

"You're too stiff. Relax," a taunting voice says from behind her.

Realizing who the voice belonged to, Lydia's body stiffens before she grabs the racket between her legs. She turns around and points the racket threateningly at the devil. "The hell do you want?" Lydia spits.

A smirk creeps across the guys face as he bounces a ball on a racket. He takes long strides over to her before stopping once he was a few feet away from her. "Let's play a match," he states, his smirk turning into a playful smile. To anyone passing by, the smile would've made him look cute and approachable. Though since Lydia knew how he really acted, the smile only looked sickening.

Lydia huffs. "I'll pass."

"Oh?" The guy questions, an amused look appearing on his face. "Come on, love. Best out of three?" He stops moving his racket, grabbing the ball off of it and holding it up to her. "I'll let you serve first."

Lydia eyes the yellow ball, growing disgusted how he was just playing around when it came to her favorite sport. Everything she loved he took and turned it into something disgusting. "Again, I'll pass," she spits.

The smile on his face twitches. "Come on, love. The loser can-"

"Treat the winner to ice cream," Lydia interrupts him, her eyes narrowing. "I'm not treating you to ice cream. I don't want anything to do with you. Besides, there's no place that sells ice cream here so buzz off."

His eyes darken at her words but the smile on his face stays in place. He stuffs the tennis ball into his pocket before reaching a hand out and ruffles her hair, causing her to flinch at his touch. "Fine. Whatever you want," he muses, returning his hand to his side. Without another word, he turns away from her and walks off of the court.

Even though he said it was fine, Lydia knew he wasn't fine with her turning him down. And she was going to pay for it later.
