Adapted from the screenplay by Ted Elliot & Terry Rossio

Will: We're going to steal a ship? That ship? (looks at Dauntless)

Jack: Commandeer. We're going to commandeer that ship. Nautical term. One question about your business, fella, or there's no use going. This Gameboy, how far are you willing to go for it?

Will: Well, I really want to play on it again.

Jack: Would you die for it?

Will: I guess it depends. Will I be getting Kyogre?

Jack: I can trade you.

Will: Deal. (they shake hands again) Okay, I'd die for it.

Jack: And what about your bonny lass?

Will: How did you know they took her? I never told you that.

Jack (shrugs): I just had a feeling.

(Walking underwater under boat, Jack in lead) Will: This is either madness or brilliance.

Jack: It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide. (after boarding Dauntless with Will) Everyone stay calm! (Will and Jack pretend to search deck)

(Men look and murmur at each other in confusion)

Jack: He got away!

Gillette: You're supposed to be in jail, Mr. Sparrow.

Jack: Don't you understand, Lieutenant?! Quick, get off the ship!

Gillette (laughing): I'm not going to fall for that. What is on this ship?

Jack: Let me put it this way…have you all had your shots? (Frightened, Gillette and other men scramble off Dauntless) (to Will, laughing) Oh man. That gets 'em every time!

Groves (noticing Gillette and men on small boat): Commodore!

Gillette (waving and screaming from boat): Sir, there's something on the Dauntless!

Norrington (seeing Will and Jack on Dauntless through spyglass): You don't say. That is without a doubt the worst pirate I have ever seen.

Will (seeing Interceptor coming): Here they come.

Gillette (to crew aboard small boat): Bring her around! Bring her around!

Norrington (he and his men aboard Dauntless): Search every hold, every hold, down to the bilges!

Jack (while swinging with Will onto Interceptor): Good luck finding us!

Norrington (noticing them): That's what we're hoping for! (resumes ordering men, then realizes situation and pauses) Sailors! Back to the Interceptor now! (Sailors try but are too late, one falls into water)

Jack: Thank you, Commodore, for getting us ready to make way. We'd have had a hard time of it by ourselves!

Norrington: Set top sails and clear up this mess!

Groves: With the wind at quarter astern, we won't catch them.

Norrington: We don't need to catch them, just get them in range of the long lines.

Groves: Hands, come about! Run out the guns! (To Norrington) We open fire on our own ship, sir?

Norrington: I would rather see her at the bottom of the ocean than in the hands of a pirate or a maniac like him.

Jack (far off in distance, offscreen): You mean an Animaniac!

Sailor: Commodore, he's disabled the rudder chain, sir!

Gillette (as the Interceptor bears down on his boat): Abandon ship! (they jump off just in time as Interceptor tears through and sinks boat)

Groves: That's got to be the best pirate I've ever seen.

Norrington: So it would seem.
