Kimberly awoke that morning in a nightgown that she didn't remember changing into. She sat up, finding herself all alone though the curtains on the window were drawn and sun poured in through the window. Her room, white walls with dark wood lining it. Everything in her room was rather plain, though she didn't want it any other way. Her vanity was made of dark oak though the wood was much darker than normal oak. Her bed was made of the same material and pretty much everything really. As she glanced around her room, she spotted a dress, lain across the foot of her bed.

Swinging her legs around to the side of the bed and standing on the cold wooden floor, she stood up and walked over to the dress to examine it. She figured it was Sebastian who laid it out for her though she couldn't tell what occasion. The dress was gorgeous though, the corset was a pretty lavender color, same as the skirt, though the rest of it had dark violet and black swirls on it for decoration. The sleeves were see through and were the same lavender color, but the lining was violet. The corset strings were dark violet and she saw that she back would show most of the way, which was probably why there was a cloak beside the dress. It was black, knowing it was hooded just by the way that if it wasn't it would hang from her shoulders and it seemed that it wasn't too terribly long in the front either. It came to maybe her elbows in the front, but in the back it fell past the dress easily. She decided not to wear the cloak just yet as she figured they were going into town just by the way it was designed to keep her warm in the fall air.

"Oh! Miss Kimberly, you're awake! I apologize for not waking you sooner, the young master wanted-" Mey-Rin began, bowing furiously the way she did when she figured she was in trouble but was stopped by the wave of a hand from Kimberly.

"Mey-Rin, calm down, I'm not upset. I needed the rest anyways. Now why don't you be a dear and help me?" She asked, smiling at Mey-Rin. She was capable of doing it herself, but the corset was rather a problem as she didn't enjoy wearing them.

As she was dressed and readied, she wondered if Mey-Rin may know something about it. "Mey-Rin, do you know if we are going out to town today?" She asked, looking at her in the mirror as she put her hair in a braided crown and had it in a bun meanwhile.

Mey-Rin glanced at her but didn't turn her full attention to her since she was concentrating on not messing up the hairstyle too badly. "The young master said something about going to town for more clothing. He wishes for you to accompany him." She said, smiling at her a little nervously, "that's what I heard from taking his tea to him at least. Oh yes, and speaking of the young master, he would like to see you in his study." She added.

She simply nodded knowing it was probably because of the children she allowed to stay but figured Ciel would probably scold her. Her make up was done by Mey-Rin and she had to redo it, since she looked more like a clown after she was done. She quickly re-did it and rather than blue, had a more natural color, browns and blacks rather than blues and pinks. She liked this style much better.

She headed back down the halls after leaving her room and dismissing Mey-Rin, walking towards Ciel's study though wasn't anticipating it in the slightest. She didn't like being scolded by a 13 year old, it made her feel stupid.

However, rather than being scolded the moment she entered Ciel's study, she was greeted by him having a conversation with the young boy from last night. The two looked much more different now that they had been bathed and not mud covered. The little girl had long, light brown hair that was in a long braid down the middle of her back. Her skin was porcelain with slight freckles here and there. Her eyes were crystal blue, but they looked to have a certain look to them, like she was constantly worrying over something or like she was always in a completely different world. The boy looked very similar to his sister. He had light brown hair just as she did and she same crystal blue eyes. Only his were practically radiating in determination yet fear. For what, Kimberly was determined herself to find out. She noticed that the young girl wore a baby blue dress she had worn when she was her age, though it seemed to be a little big on her. As for the young boy, he wore one of Ciel's white and blue suits, though he didn't stray too far from his sister despite having a conversation.

"Well then, I suppose we can officially start this," Ciel said, noticing Kimberly in the room and stood straighter in his chair. "Kimberly, I understand that you have a soft spot for children, but if I wanted our home to become an orphanage, I would have done so already." he said, raising a slight eyebrow at his older sister.

This was it, the beginning of her scolding from a 13 year old. "Ciel, don't tell me you're going to throw the poor things out... Not only that, but you are still aware who the older sibling is, right? I may not have inherited the company and manor but I am still your older sister." she said, still not standing mainly so that she could remain the tallest in the room, well, besides Sebastian.

"Kimberly, I'm not going to throw them on. On the contrary, actually, they may stay as long as certain agreements are made. However, you can't keep every child you see, understand? I have just been informed of their current situation and I'm sure it will interest the queen. Why don't you take Sebastian into town with these two and get them clothing that fits them rather than our clothing?" he asked, obviously not seeing it his place to share their information so he tried to keep her from asking.

At the first part, Kimberly seemed to light up, then when she noticed her curiosity would not be satisfied she dimmed back down but nodded to him. "Alright, fine. Is the carriage ready? I'd rather head into town in the morning when not too many people are out." she said, unable to stop herself from stealing a glance in Sebastian's way.

"Of course, my lady, all of the preparations have been made that are needed to begin our little trip into town. " Sebastian replied for Ciel, placing a hand on his chest and smiling his wide smile, making a small bow to her before he remained standing straight.

"Alright then. Fine, let's leave then." she said, turning to the children and smiling warmly at them, she couldn't help herself but to love them already, as Ciel spoke the truth when he said she had always held a soft spot for children. "Come on, then, Sebastian, would you get my cloak from my room?" she asked him, leading the children out as Ciel began to look over papers on his desk.

Sebastian bowed slightly to her and left to retrieve the piece of left behind clothing. She brought the two children to the front door and turned, seeing Mey-Rin walking over with two overcoats for the siblings. They matched nicely with the dress the girl wore and with the suit the boy wore. Hers was a white thin coat with light blue edges and frills, while his was fully white and seemed to be a rather lovely match.

"So, you two, may I ask your names?" She asked, smiling at them softly and glancing over their resemblances, wondering if they were twins.

"My name is Xander, and this is my sister Alexandria." The young boy, now known as Xander, spoke up, making sure his sister stayed close, though she seemed to have a natural instinct to zone off and wander because when she began to walk off, he had to pull her back and held her hand tightly in his so that he could stop her from running off.

"My name is Kimberly, it's nice to meet you two," Kimberly said, noticing this and making mental notes on just about everything they did or said.

Sebastian quickly returned and helped her to put the cloak on, then helped the two children into the carriage, but before he could get her in she frowned, "is Ciel not joining us?"

"Yes, he will be, I will be helping him into the carriage shortly after you." He said, then smiled at her softly to show her he wasn't lying. She allowed him to sit her down on the cushioned seats and examined the two who looked around the small boxed area nervously. Like it would collapse at any moment and everything inside could be crushed. Sure enough, Ciel joined them in the carriage, looking rather pissed as it was obvious Sebastian guilt tripped him into coming to town with them.

The trip seemed to be a longer one than she was used to, silence greeting her ears as she expected them to say something, even if it was small talk. Deciding no one was going to talk, she cleared her throat slightly and began humming a small tune, not singing though, she only hummed. She stared out the window, afraid if she didn't hear something soon she would go mad.

As a response to her humming, the two children's attention went to her, listening to the pretty tune and not to mention her voice. Ciel often heard her hum when she was bored, so he simply listening, gazing out the other window.

Before she knew it, they arrived in town and they were all helped out onto the streets. Kimberly pulled her hood on quickly as she noticed a small flurry, the first one yet, had begun. She watched as Ciel too pulled up his hood as did the two children. Sebastian didn't have one, as he wore his long black trench coat, but wasn't harmed by the water.

"First things first, let's go to the tailor to find out you two's sizes," Kimberly said with a small smile. Shopping this way wasn't exactly the best way to spend time for her, but she understood the cycle of shopping.

They all began to walk down the streets, the two siblings remaining close to Kimberly and Sebastian remained close to Ciel and Kimberly. Though, before anyone could process what had happened next, it happened. The two children stopped walking all together and stared at a man with black hair with a large stripe of white right through the middle, and neon green eyes. It seemed that their eyes all connected and before Kimberly knew it, the two bolted the opposite direction. They ran fast, faster than most their age could go. But still they ran. They took random turns, knowing that something or someone was following them. In perfect unison, they turned down an alley and saw that it was a dead end. Turning around a gasp could be heard from them, backing against the wall as someone rounded the corner.
