Dark Secrets Chapter 9
Montague smirked, stretching his hand out to Flint for a handshake.
Marcus griped his former housemates hand hard, willing himself to break his bones. With a small grunt Montague tucked his hand back, saying "Good to see you too, mate.".
He then turned to Katie and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. "Miss Bell, even lovelier than I remembered." Katie just gaped at him and was about to retort that he still looked as stupid as the last time they met when Marcus growled "Get. Your. Hands. Off. Her. NOW!".
Montague let Katies hand fall like it burned.
"Damn. Possessive much?", he tried to play it down.
"Hell yeah. She is mine." Marcus replied lowly.
Katie couldn't take her eyes off her fiance. Marcus stared back hotly and leaned towards her.
"If you don't stop looking at me like that we'll have to excuse us, so I can shag you in the loo." he whispered huskily.
"Meet you in five?" Katie replied breathy. Marcus chuckled at that. "My perfect, dirty girl."
They both looked up at Monagues overplayed cough. "As amusing as this is, I'd like to introduce my companion. Daphne Greengras." The woman put on a fake smile, glaring daggers at Katie before turning to Marcus and trying to hug him.
Marcus all but shoved her away. "We already know each other. Miss Greengras, may I introduce my fiance, Miss Katie Bell."
"It's nice to meet you." Daphne directed at Katie in a sugary sweet, obviously fake voice.
Katie just raised her brow in challenge and smirked. "I'm sure it is."
Marcus stroked her hand affectionately. "Down, Kitten. Don't cause a scene at our friends wedding. After all, we want them to behave at our own, right?" he smiled at her so tenderly, Katie couldn't help but feel like she was turning to mush. "Right." she smiled back at him.
Montague let out a sigh, maneuvering a frowning Daphne in her seat before sitting down next to her.
"Where's Cassius?" he asked, snapping Marcus attention back to him.
"Ran off after his pregnant wife" was the curt answer. "Now, if you'll excuse us..." he started to stand, but Katies hand clamped around his. "Your mother is on her way over to us." she huffed out lowly. Marcus groaned, which caused Katie to giggle. "Don't be upset. We'll have loads of time later."
"There you two are! Katherine my dear, how lovely you look." ,Mrs Flint exclaimed hugging Katie, who barely had time to stand up from her seat, and kissed her on both cheeks. "Hello Monica. Thank you, your dress is wonderful.", Katie smiled at her soon to be mother-in-law.
"Cast aside by the own mother. I see how it is.", Marcus huffed.
"Oh don't be like that honey. I've had your whole live to show affection to you, I'm alowed to favour my new daughter a little." Monica chided, causing a blush to spread on Katies cheeks and a small smile on Marcus face.
"The Ceremony was perfect, wasn't it? We must get together soon to discuss your wedding preparations. I believe Uthelia said something of a wedding planer. I'll find out her contact. I know you two don't care much for a big event, but Marcus is my only child, surely you woulnd't bereave me of seeing him properly wed." Mrs. Flint prattled on and on.
"I don't care, Katie will decide this stuff. Weddings are all about the bride anyway." Marcus waved off, causing his fiance to gasp and glare at him.
"You don't care?!" she grinds out, her jaw locked in anger.
Sensing the danger, Marcus immediately backpedals.
"I dind't mean it like that luve. I want you to have exactly the wedding you want. The whole trappings aren't important to me as long as we get married and I get to call you my wife."
"Yes, yes. It'll be a wonderful day for both of you. Now, I'll leave you to your friends. Oh and Katherine I expect you for tea on wednesday, there is someone I'd like to introduce to you."
"I'll be there." Katie smiled, although doubtful.
I know it's short and probably full of mistakes, it's the middle of the night over here and I just found this halfway done chapter and added its and pieces.
I'll try to get another done fast
