A/N: Ok, so this is such a pathetically short chapter I almost didn't post it, but I figured you all were due for an update, and despite it being so short, I really do like this chapter.

I have found what has happened to my brain and my muse: they have gained up on me and are insisting I write a fanfic I would rather have nothing to do with...which, to put it nicely, stinks. However, since both are rebelling and are only agreeing to cooperate if I do so, I have subscribed to the age old wisdom: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. And since I have done that, I was able to get this out, I will be updating Coal tomorrow, and I have a new Rise of the Guardians fic you should see within the next two weeks :) YAY!

Alright, enough of my babble. Enjoy! Thanks for all the reviews, favorites, and follows - you are all amazing!

Disclaimer: I do not own Rise of the Guardians.

~~RiseOfTheGuardians~~

Wind laughed as she carried her boy away from the stunned Guardians, Bunny's comment echoing in her ears.

You are not wearing anything but that shirt, Wind told her boy, once she had gotten herself under control. They were almost to Burgess by then, and Wind knew why. Jack wanted to see Jamie.

Jack huffed. "I know," he told Wind. "But I don't want to go back."

Surely you do not want to play with Jamie dressed like that?

"Of course not," Jack huffed.

Where to, then?

"Maybe we should pay Sam Hain a visit. I'm sure he's got something I could wear."

Wind laughed again, tossing her boy up into the air as he yelped, and carrying him toward the Halloween spirit's mansion as Jack grumbled that it was not funny.

The new clothes didn't help stop Wind's laughter when Jack bid Sam Hain a farewell. He looked ridiculously mortal and acted as though the clothes were the worst things in the world. It didn't help that Sam Hain was also laughing as his bid them goodbye.

"Do they have to flap everywhere?" Jack asked, tugging at his pants.

They are very loose, Wind said.

"I know!" Jack exclaimed. "It's so inconvenient."

And full of holes.

"I really don't understand why."

It's the style with kids these days, Wind pointed out gleefully. Or haven't you noticed?

"I don't care about style," Jack stated plainly.

A good thing too, Wind said. She had to admit she loved Jack's complete lack of worry over what he looked like, it was so refreshing compared to the other elemental spirits she occasionally had to deal with when they upset her winds.

Jack sighed and tugged his jeans up for the umpteenth time, much to Wind's amusement.

"It's not funny," Jack complained.

Never said it was, Wind said.

"Well, you're the one laughing at me," Jack pointed out

Ah, here we are, Wind said, changing the subject, she couldn't deny the accusation after all.

Laughing aloud, she tossed Jack high into the air before lowering him towards his lake.

Welcome home.

"Thanks," Jack said, landing gracefully (despite the awkward jeans) in the middle of the lake. Wind watched as Jack's power rippled outward, freezing the lake in a delicate pattern of ripples until it was completely solid once more.

"Jack!"

Wind smiled to herself as Jamie nearly knocked her boy clean off his feet. She watched as Jack and Jamie talked, and laughed to herself as Jamie complimented Jack on his new clothes.

"I like it," Jamie said, nodding his head.

"Yeah kid, me too," Jack replied.

Liar, Wind laughed as the two raced off to find their friends.

Wind was dancing around Jack when the dreamsand came and she smiled as Sandy approached her boy. They had a quite conversation under the stars as Jack assured Sandy he was fine and that he felt they were family, but also that he needed time apart on occasion.

Wind was glad it was Sandy who had found them, as he was the most reasonable and least likely to press Jack.

You have a big job ahead of you, keeping the peace, Wind whispered to Sandy when Jack confirmed he was done telling stories of his past.

Sandy heaved a sigh, as if he was thinking the same thing, before returning to his work, leaving Wind and Jack resting on the branch.
