Chapter 10
A Prince Charming
"Ah, the new uniform." When Tsubasa got a hold of the cupcakes from Mikan's hand, he then handed it to Natsume.
"I think he's responsible in sending you a new uniform in replacement of the old one."
'Why would he do that?' Mikan thought while her face became redder. She walked towards Natsume. Her bangs are covering her eyes.
"A-arigatou!" She then walked faster going to the exit.
Natsume just looked at the lass' retreating figure. He remembered why he sent her a new set of uniform.
Flashback:
"Oi, Yoichi, why are you naked?" Ruka asked when he saw Yoichi's nude body.
"He's sexy, isn't he, Ruka." Tsubasa said while smirking.
"Now, I'm upset for being born as a guy. Seeing Yoichi's sexy body made me wanted to be a girl." Then he laughed.
"Shut up, Andou! It's your fault." Yoichi snapped while hitting Tsubasa's head.
"Ouch! You're so mean, Yo-chan!" Tsubasa said rubbing his head, now, Ruka's laughing.
Yoichi hits again, "Don't call me Yo-chan, you're disgusting."
"Not again, but Mikan called you Yo-chan! It was so cute, you know!" Tsubasa said while scratching his head where Yoichi hits it.
"Why did you help her? Are you two betraying me?" Natsume said behind them furious.
"What do you want us to do, Natsume? Just watch her being raped? Running in the corridor almost naked? Her uniform has been ripped." Yoichi snapped. They were staring at each other with furious eyes. The fire in their eyes are almost visible that it can burn you alive.
"That's right, Natsume, isn't it a little bit too far doing that? She was almost raped. We might be a bully, but we don't do those kinds of things." Tsubasa exclaimed.
"I didn't know you went that far. She's still a girl, Natsume."
Natsume stiffened, 'Those bastards, I only told them to scare her, not to do something like that!'
"That's enough, guys." Ruka said to ease the tension. He can see Natsume's clenched hand.
"Is that why you're not wearing your shirt, Yoichi?" Ruka asked but no answer. Silence means yes.
"Is that so?" He faced Natsume, "Natsume, I think they're right. Even I would help her if that was what happened."
"I didn't mean to go that far. I didn't know that was what they did. I just told them to scare her." Natsume explained and went outside. He then called someone on the phone.
"Expel them and kick their asses outta here!" He then dialed another number.
"Get me a new set of a girl's uniform." Then he ended the call. When he went back, he heard the three inside the room were arguing.
"Calm down, Yoichi, I told you Natsume wouldn't do that." Ruka said while Yoichi was looking for his shirt in his locker.
"Oi, Yo-chan, can you be my boyfriend? 'Coz you're so hot." Tsubasa said while looking at Yoichi's body and then winked. Yoichi hits him on the head three times.
"What were those for?" Tsubasa cried while rubbing his head with three bumps.
"You always do that, I'm still older than you!" He exclaimed. Ruka's laughing at them again.
"As I've always told you. You don't act like one. The first hit was for calling me Yo-chan, the second was for asking me to be your boyfriend. And the third was for staring at my body." Yoichi said.
"How about calling you hot, Yoichi? You're not hitting him for that?" Ruka asked, hearing that made Tsubasa covered his head with his hands to prevent being hit on the same spot again. He doesn't like a fourth bump.
"Nope, because that's true, I'm hot." Yoichi said while grinning. Now it's Tsubasa's turn to hit Yoichi's head.
"You're conceited!" He said. Ruka's laughter went louder.
Natsume: "…"
Hearing his friends' conversation made Natsume smirked. 'I don't know why these idiots became my friends.'
End of Flashback.
"Oi, Natsume? Can I have a piece of your cupcakes?" Tsubasa asked while getting one piece of the cupcakes.
Natsume grabbed the cupcake back from Tsubasa's hand, "It's mine."
He then hugged the cupcakes so that Tsubasa can't get another.
"But she gave you a lot. Give me one." Tsubasa insisted while pouting.
"No." Natsumes firmly said then put it inside his coat before going outside. "See you soon."
"Tsk. That guy, he's acting weird." Tsubasa said while hitting the billiard ball but it didn't go to the hole, making him lose his turn.
"Isn't it obvious?" Ruka and Yoichi asked.
"What's obvious?" Tsubasa asked back confusedly.
"Here we are thinking you have more experiences in girls than us and you didn't understand why Natsume's acting weird." Ruka said while playing a solitaire.
"Stupid playboy!" Yoichi said while playing his turn.
"Don't compare me to the likes of you. You both have a girlfriend and I'm single right now. I just broke up with Hershey."
"You're talking non-sense, Tsubasa. That's not what we meant." Yoichi said.
"But I thought you like her too, Yoichi. You would never let her borrow your favorite shirt if that was not the case." Tsubasa said while making a strategy to win the game, hearing that makes Yoichi lost his focus in the game.
"Does that mean you don't like Aoi anymore, Yoichi? Natsume's gonna kill you, you know." Ruka asked while staring at him. Yoichi's face became red.
"I don't like her!" Yoichi cried out.
"You don't like Aoi anymore?" Tsubasa exclaimed.
"No, I mean the hag. I don't like her. It's just that, I can't explain it." Yoichi said while hitting the target.
"What do you mean?" Tsubasa said. Yoichi didn't answer.
"Hey guys, I've received a message. I must go to the airport now; her flight came earlier. I have to fetch her there now. See you on the cruise." Ruka said.
"Be sure to bring her on the cruise." Tsubasa said while looking at Ruka.
"I will." Ruka nodded then hurriedly went out.
"I win, Andou. You do the dare." Yoichi said while smirking.
"Oh man, I lost again." Tsubasa cried while kneeling.
"Stand up, Andou, you're overreacting. You just have to run 3 times half-naked inside the academy. Isn't that easy?" Yoichi said while grinning.
"You-!" This is karma!
"You're a minute late." A raven hair girl with amethyst eyes said. She's wearing a plain purple spaghetti top, a mini skirt, a white long coat and black boots.
"Sorry, I have to bring Bubu home before I go here." The blonde lad said.
"I see." The girl said.
"I miss you." The blonde said.
"I know, I miss myself too." The girl replied. The blonde guy stared at her.
"Just kidding, I miss you too, Ruka. How's Natsume, Yoichi and Tsubasa? They haven't changed yet, have they? They are still bullying others." She said with a matter of fact tone. "Tsk. I know, you are too."
"They're doing just fine. How long are you gonna stay here?" Ruka asked. Before the girl could answer, someone shouted.
"That's Hotaru Imai! The famous model and inventor!" Then it was starting to be crowded to where they were.
"Can I have an autograph, Imai-sama?" A girl asked.
"Can we have a picture together, Hotaru-sama?" Another girl asked. Before more crowds go there, Ruka hold Hotaru's wrist, dragging her out of the crowd, then they ran towards the parking lot where his motorcycle parks.
"You're crazy!" Hotaru said while panting.
"Well, I don't want them to have my girlfriend's attention. Can't blame me, you're more popular now." Ruka said while blushing.
"You're jealous?" Hotaru asked while arching one of her eyebrows up.
"Wear this before others get here." Ruka said while giving Hotaru the extra helmet he brought.
"Thanks." Hotaru said while wearing it on her head.
"I have already asked someone to get your luggage back." He knew this would happen so he prepared in advance.
"Hn." Hotaru replied.
Mikan's POV:
"Wow, she's so beautiful and smart. At a young age, she's a model and an inventor. I really idolized her." I unconsciously said while watching the advertisement of the most popular international model and inventor of Japan in the TV.
"I agree. Japan's so proud of having her. I wonder what her boyfriend looks like." I heard grandpa asked.
"Ah! What are you talking about, Grandpa? You're being a pervert." I said while looking at grandpa with big eyes. This old man. Don't tell me he has a crush with Hotaru-sama?
"I'm just asking, Mikan-chan. A pretty girl like her should have a prince charming." Grandpa explained. I sighed in relief.
"You have a point, Grandpa. Hotaru-sama should have a prince charming." I replied. With such a beautiful and genius lady, I wonder who's the lucky guy?
"If you happen to meet her Mikan-chan, ask me an autograph, will you?" Grandpa casually asked a favor.
"Are you kidding, how can I meet her Grandpa? She's so popular and maybe, she'll not gonna stay long here in Japan." I said while focusing my eyes on the screen.
She's so beautiful, every time I watched her on TV, it's like I've known her personally.
"Nothing's impossible, my dear." Grandpa stated.
"By the way Gramps, I am going to Hokkaido next week. We have a school cruise there. We'll stay there for a week or so. Are you gonna be okay here or should I not go there?" I asked worriedly. Grandpa is already old. No one's gonna take care of him without me.
"You're worrying about me too much! I'm still young. I can manage here without you for a week or so. You're treating me like an old man. Take a look, I am strong like a cow." Grandpa said while trying to lift the table. But he can't and only end up panting. I can't help but laugh to my hearts' desire.
"YOU ARE an old man. Don't try so hard, gramps, you're making yourself ill. I don't want to hear you later complaining that your back hurts." What a show off. Tsk.
"What am I saying is - don't let me be your burden. You're still young, enjoy your life, Mikan-chan. I can manage here by myself while you're gone so just go with your friends in Yezo." Grandpa ordered.
I embraced Grandpa, "Thanks, Gramps. You're the best! I'll ask someone to visit you here while I am in Hokkaido."
"This kid, you know I love you more than anyone else." Grandpa hugged her back.
"I love you more, Gramps!" Mikan exclaimed.
Natsume's POV:
"Oi Natsume, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" I heard Tsubasa called me.
"The other students are waiting for us inside the private plane." I ignored him.
Polka, where are you? I'm gonna kill you if you don't show yourself.
"Ruka and Hotaru will be there after us. They said they will attend an important matter first." Tsubasa said. I still didn't answer him. Suddenly my phone rang.
Panda, Panda, Panda no dance...
"Hello?" I answered my phone as soon as I saw who's calling.
Mikan's POV:
"Gramps! I'll be going. Don't forget not to take a bath outside, you'll catch a cold. I'll be back soon!" I reminded the old man.
"Don't worry about me! Take care, Mikan-chan." Grandpa said.
"Arigatou, Jii-chan, ja!" I said as I waived my hand to him.
"Don't forget to bring a boyfriend back!" Grandpa giggled.
"…" Grandpa!
Normal POV:
"Wow, the ocean is great!" Mikan exclaimed while looking at the deep blue sea and smelling the salt water. However, if one looked at her closely, they could tell that she's holding the railing with her life depended on it.
They are in the small ship having a cruise in the middle of the ocean. Kitsuneme and Nonoko are fishing because they stopped in the middle while Anna and Yuu were cooking in their mini kitchen.
"You're right!" It was Koko. "I think I don't wanna leave this ship anymore, I can live here with Sumire alone." Hearing this makes Permy blushed. Some of them shouted and teased Permy, the other boys whistled.
"Shut up, Koko!" Permy berated.
"How about us, Koko? What're you gonna do to us?" It was Mochiage. He went with them. She was not in the cafeteria last time as he went somewhere. Mochu and Sumire are cousins.
"I can throw you out of the ship. You can swim back to Tokyo." Koko said while pushing Mochu to the water.
"Are you crazy Koko?" Mikan exclaimed while looking at Mochu in the water. But seeing Mochu swimming around having fun made Mikan relaxed.
"Don't worry, we're here to enjoy and take a bath. Let's go swimming, Mikan." Koko said while taking his shirt off.
"I see you're ready for swimming, Sumire." Koko pushed Sumire in the water too.
"That's my girl!" Then he jumped to the water.
"You jerk! Why did you push me?" Sumire asked while splashing water to Koko and Koko splashing the water back to Permy. They are having fun in the water.
"You're making the fishes swim away!" Nonoko exclaimed angrily while pulling her fishing rod up. There was no fish that ate her bait.
"Do you want to swim too, Nono?" Kitsuneme asked Nonoko while taking his shirt off. Seeing this makes Nonoko closed her eyes. She didn't saw Kitsu already pulled his fishing rod off the water. Her face went red.
"Let's go swimming first, they're having fun. We can catch a fish later." Then he jumped to the water making the water splashed on their faces.
"Funny, Kitsu!" Mikan said with sarcasm behind Nonoko while wiping her face.
"Let's have fun too, Mikan. Let's swim too!" Nonoko said excitedly while preparing to jump.
"I can't, Nono. I don't know h-how to swim." Mikan responded while looking at them with pale face. She forgot that she's afraid of water. That was one of the reason she didn't want to join the school cruise. She had forgotten about it because it's been so long since she went for a swim.
As she said that, Nonoko didn't hear it because she already jumped to the water.
