Stephen held my hand the whole way back to London from Bristol. The party at my parent's had been fun. The best part was my Christmas gift: Grandma had come to visit. I was able to talk my way around the awkward questions of what I'd been up to. Stephen had managed to charm my mom immediately. As soon as I was surprised by my grandma, I didn't see him again until it was time to leave.

"He seems nice," Grandma said. "Like sweet tea in the summertime."

"From Canes," I said, smiling. My eyes searched everywhere for him.

"Ah, so the sweetest of them all." She was smiling at me when I looked back at her, but there was something behind it that caused some feeling to start bubbling in my stomach. "I know how much you love yourself some Raising Canes sweet tea."

"Only the best," I replied.

"So you don't deny it?"

"Deny what?"

"You love him?" She raised an eyebrow. Classic Grandma. I looked away from her again. "Of course I don't deny it." She laughed at my blush.

Stephen's thumb stroked my hand, bringing me back to the train. I looked at him for a moment before turning back to the window. "Do you think he's done it yet?" Whatever Stephen was thinking of, he snapped out of it. "What?"

I faced him again as I laughed. "Callum," I explained. "Do you think he's popped the question yet?" I felt Stephen tense beside me.

"No. No, he said he would wait for us."

"Why would he do that?"

Stephen only shrugged, and went back to being stone. When I looked up again, he was watching me. Brows furrowed, eyes thoughtful, jaw clenched. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to my forehead. I smiled. "This doesn't excuse the fact that you lied to me. Again." I watched his lips tighten into a line. I couldn't tell if he was smiling or grimacing. That's my Stephen.

"I didn't think it would be so important to you. Me having met your parents before. It was only because I had to tell them the official story."

"I know. It was just a surprise, and I think it made my mom kind of suspicious. She's going to think I ran away because of you. They're probably going to blame you, and I don't want that." I sighed and shook out my hair. "At least my grandma likes you. Somebody's cheering you on." Stephen nodded.

When we got to Boo and Callum's flat in London, it was obvious Callum was a nervous wreck. He grabbed Stephen's arm and pulled him in, me being dragged along. "Mate," Callum said.

"You sound like a pirate," I stated. He glared at me as I slipped off my coat. I simply smiled. "Oh, calm down. I don't understand why you're so nervous anyway."

"Will you just go keep her busy?" I nodded, still smiling. Boo was sitting beside their christmas tree. Her hair was even christmas themed, with red and green stripes. She even had gift bow in her hair.

"Somebody's festive," I said as I sat beside her. She smiled, and handed me one of the boxes. "Don't open it yet. We're all going to open them together. I think Callum's nervous about giving me my gift because it's so small." I laughed and managed to keep my mouth shut. No secrets would spill from me. I had managed this long. I needed a distraction, so I told her about what Stephen and I did this morning. She pounced on that opportunity of gossip, thank God.

Finally, after moments of biting my tongue, Callum and Stephen came back in. Boo was looking at Stephen like a piece of meat. "Presents!" I shouted. I was sure that if we didn't do it soon, I would let something slip, or Boo would embarrass Stephen. Stephen sat on the couch behind me and I leaned back against his legs. Callum sat on the floor beside Boo. It was all pretty nice stuff. Boo had gotten Stephen and I some decorative pillows and a throw blanket, while Callum had gotten us a gift card to an appliance store. "I didn't know exactly what you needed," he said almost sheepishly. I liked nervous Callum. He was adorable.

Boo loved the shoes I got her. She went on for a while about how she loved how sparkly they were and how she wanted a new pair of heels. Callum didn't seem able to respond to Stephen's gift. It was almost his turn to give Boo her gift. I took the chance to put my hand on his arm in a comforting gesture, which hopefully Boo thought casually of. "What do you think?"

He looked at me and some of the tension in his shoulders seemed to fade. He held the sweater up and said, "It's nice. Soft. Thanks." I smiled at him and climbed up onto the couch next to Stephen, whose fingers brushed over my hand gently.

Boo sat on her on top of her legs, bouncing with excitement. Callum grabbed the tiny box from under the tree and practically threw it into Boo's hands. "Merry Christmas," he muttered. Boo looked curiously at him as she unwrapped the small box. I think it started to dawn on her when she realized the box was velvet. She opened the box and looked at Callum. He slid closer to her and propped upped his knee. Callum put his hands on top of Boo's. "I… I don't have some grand speech, but… Boo, will you marry me?" She didn't say anything, Boo just pounced on him. I think in between kissing Callum, she may have moaned a yes at some point.

I smiled, and looked at Stephen who was looking away determinately. When I touched his hand, he looked at me and nodded. We left without disturbing our newly engaged friends. I'm pretty sure clothes were coming off anyway as we shut the door.

Merry Christmas.

So yes yeah I'm very sorry this took sooooooooo long. I had this idea forever but writer's block is a bitch, especially when paired with going to college and working on my own book. Those of you who continued to review and read kept me going here. I feel like this isn't my best work, and I'm really sorry because y'all deserve only the best, but hopefully this can satisfy any thirst for new reading material. Enjoy the fluff.
