Chapter 10: Progress
-Arceus' POV-
The two legendries ran past so fast, if I hadn't been watching closely, I would have missed them.
The two fit in well. You could barely tell they were the legendries Reshiram and Zekrom. Although I do not quiet approve of the human names they were given.
I mean, really Anitan and Aleatea?
I know the names mean stuff about fire and lighting.
But seriously, Anitan? Aletea?
I let out a sigh and looked up.
An average human looking boy struggled to keep walking.
He doubled over, humanly hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.
I watched curiously.
The small human had curly red hair that piled up onto the top of his head.
A small Pokémon known as pansear paced around the boy, concerned.
'You're ok? Right mister Chili? You'll be alright, right?' Pansear asked, but to humans it only sounded like, "Pansear, pan, pan, sear?"
I watched carefully.
A small smile appeared on the boy's face. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine Pansear. Don't worry about me!" He stood and held an arm out to the fire type. "Come on, let's go catch up with those two."
Pansear gladly took Chili's hand the two were off, heading in the direction of the two legendries.
Now, why can't all humans be like that?
-Anitan's POV-
My feet pounded against the soft dirt, as I ran.
Wind whipped through my short black hair. As my hat flew off multiple times. I kept it clenched in my fist as I ran.
"DUDE!" Chili screamed, "SLOW DOWN!"
I ignored him, and just kept running. I was going to kill those Team Plasma grunts. For all they have done!
"Anitan," My sister said, her tone remorse.
"What do you want?" I replied, spitefully.
"What are we going to do?"
"What we do best," I smirked. "We kick some Plasma butt."
A smile formed on her face. "This is going to be fun!"
I smiled in response. "You bet it is."
"HEY!" Chili yelled at us from behind, "I need to tell you two something."
Our pace never slowed as we flew by the main trainers on the route.
They would yell at us, "HEY! YOU! I challenge you to a POKEMON BATTLE!"
But we just ignored their cries as we raced by.
"Anitan, Aletea!" Chili screamed in protest.
We made to Striation City in no time. We hadn't even worked up a sweat, getting there.
But for Chili, he was drenched
"I told you guys," He panted. "To wait up."
"Sorry, Chili." Aletea apologized.
"What did you need to tell us?" I asked.
He breathed heavily for a few seconds, doubled over. "To get into the dream yard you need the Striation gym badge."
Aletea looked over at me, concern filled her pupils.
"Well it looks like we will be getting our first gym badge today." I smirked.
"But listen here," Chili interrupted. "This badge is not like others. There are three of us, depending on what Pokémon you chose to begin with depends on who you face for the badge. Aletea, it you against me."
My sister nodded in agreement.
"Anitan," The red head turned to me. "You are going against my older brother Cilian."
I nodded, "I understand."
"Good, now you two need to rest up at the Pokémon center before you challenge the gym, good luck." He turned and walks off to a large building guarded by a white haired guy.
I let out a sigh, "Come on Aletea, lets head to the Pokémon center…."
The two of us strolled over to the large building with a red roof.
The feeling of being watched crawled up my spine.
I spun around.
Not one person in the whole town were paying attention to us, weird.
"Anitan, come on." Aletea snapped.
I looked around once more then followed her inside.
"One room with double bedroom please," Aletea ordered at the front desk while our Pokémon healed.
"Mizu, keep a close watch." I whispered to my tiny partner that sat on my shoulder.
The hustle-and-bustle of the Pokémon center was starting to settle down as the sun began to behind the tall buildings.
"A room be ready in a few minutes, please take a seat, we will call you when it's ready." Nurse Joy chimed.
"Ok, thank you." Aletea said and went sat on a plush bench.
I sat next to her.
"Altea." I whispered into her ear.
"What do you want Anitan?" Aletea sighed.
"I just have this feeling," I looked around the building. "That someone is watching us."
She looked around too. "I know, I can feel it too."
We both looked around suspiciously, no one seemed to pay us mind.
Except, one weird looking dude.
He wore a long white tux with yellow and red on the shoulders.
"Aletea," I whispered, eyeing the strange guy.
His eyes twinkled a leafy green as a small smile formed on his. Almost like he recognized us, and somehow knew us.
"Aletea, your room is ready." Nurse Joy called out.
I sighed in relief and we both stood and walked to the desk.
"Here is your room key, check out is at 9 am." She handed us a key.
We headed toward the elevator to go up to our room when a hand clapped us both on the shoulder, it was the guy in the white suit.
"Nice to see you again, Anitan, Aletea." He smiled.
Those seven words sent a chill running up and down my spine.
"You, know us?" Aletea asked.
The man nodded. "Of course. I have known you since you were really small."
I thought back to my painful childhood of getting beat up for having a stupid ponytail, but I never ever saw this guy's face.
"How." I said simply.
"You will soon discover that." He smirked.
And with that he whispered away, and out the door.
Aletea and I exchanged the same glance, and then raced into the elevator, hitting the 'close door' button as soon as we were both inside.
"That was….." Aletea started.
"Weird, right?" I finished.
"Yeah, weird." Aletea answered, with a far off look.
