PART A2- Zero
Zero marvelled at the work. His new body showed no changes, energy reading still the same as ever. But he knew that if X discovered that his friend's body contained the virus, there would be no end to the worry and energy X would put into such a trivial thing. Maybe the only thing that gave him away was his voice, but do robots really pay attention to such small details?
PART A3- AXL
AXAL. Automated Exo-skeletal Altered Ligaments. When Axl had read through Dynamo's memories, he learnt what he feared. He was purely made to prove a point, not be a part of it. The blueprints, pulled from ancient ruins in Russia. They were discovered by Sigma in one of his visits to his Maverick friends. Vile had taunted him for it. The great and powerful Sigma was a man of science, as he wanted to know about this bio-Mechanoloid. Was it truly possible to create a being that could alter its partially organic armour to mirror the robots around it? If so, could he use it to bring the Hunters down?
The plan Sigma had in mind at first was to turn the hunters against their own. But after the colony crashed and humanity started to flee to space, he realised that would elongate the world's suffering and bring its ultimate demise slowly enough that X could only watch as his precious humans died.
He didn't say much, but Axl missed Signas. It was too bad that he had infected the leader with Lumine's virus. Just like Red before him, he had died protecting the prototype without a purpose.
RECHARGE CYCLE DATA PART B –Zero
Zero had been astounded when he saw X make the Maverick walk away instead of fighting back. The astonishment must have been clear on his face, as X beamed brightly to his friend as he explained,
"I had a thought, maybe I could access the Cyberspace net in the minds of Mavericks and other Reploids so I can slow the hold the virus seems to have on them. But it can only slow the process, it can't stop it entirely." X's bright smile soon changed to a very serious expression as he finished his statement. Zero thought seriously about what his friend was doing. He was disrupting the flow of data. He had placed a firewall directly into the mind of the Reploid. If someone else had that power, they could be very dangerous.
"Are you sure that this new power is okay to use?" Zero asked as his face contorted to show concern. His brows knitted together as he thought over various consequences.
"It's fine Zero, I assure you. The firewall only stops access to short-term data. There isn't anything else that is being blocked. All I have to do is implant a subliminal message before I do it and they act as though what I said was the absolute truth. To him I said that he had blacked out under the contrl of the virus and can't remember it. He has been cured, or so he thinks.
PART B 1.5 –Zero
The past few weeks had been filled with new breakthroughs in the search for the cure to the virus. The gun seemed harmless enough to use. It had a square shape, it felt light. The colour was grey and black for the grip. But due to the fact that the technology to make the gun so light and compact so it may be used by a human in dire need was compacted to such a level, the energy flow and release caused it to recoil rather badly.
But, Zero thought, if Weil is devoting his time to making what is essentially an EMP weapon, then why do none of the other Hunters suspect that he may have malicious intentions?
PART B 2 –Axl
Signas had been very accepting to the young and excitable Hunter. He had even allowed Axl to become a leader of the Covert Ops unit, just like Zero headed Special Ops and X now lead the Research team. In Covert Ops, Axl had met many characters, both robotic and human. Certain humans were using and being used by Reploids in critical areas like the outer cities and other countries. The biggest ring, Blue Steel, were using old abandoned towns for their operations, which ranged from drug production for humans to illegally modified parts for Reploids and mechanoloids.
One of these raids had turned sour, as the leader Sota and his henchman Cobra had caught onto Axl and sent countless Mechanoloids and men after him. He only just lost them when X and Zero pulled him out and finished the job. Signas then ordered for an escort to be made and he would arrest the offenders.
But during the arrest, Sota and Cobra fought Signas over Axl and some threats were made. Signas killed Sota, but Cobra had been difficult. He had taken out the Commander of the Hunters in a suicide attack. Signas had died protecting his youngest and best Hunter faction leader. For weeks, Axl had felt guilty that Signas had died without a real reason.
When X took command, X insisted that Axl was a worthy cause, as without him, X would have been lost to the realm of ideals and never have come back to reality. He had also said that Axl was very important to Signas, as he had made it known that Axl was worthy of more than others may say he was. Signas had been the one to get him a place under NGR laws, where he would have fallen under Mechanoloid law instead.
Sorry I have been slack in writing this. I needed some time to find the right direction to take this story. But, in the time I have been away, you'll be pleased to know that I have the next few chapters all ready at my fingertips. I just have to flesh out the points I made for each chapter. So what I have decided will hopefully motivate me to finish this and move on with my next fiction and my original story. The next fiction I am writing is a NiGHTS fanfiction, cause that game is amazing and 'Into Dreams' is like an acid trip if you don't know what you're doing or what you're looking at on-screen. On that note, infamous: Second Son looks like so much fun I wish I had the system to play it because I only have a lowly PS2... (;-; ) {This is also why I love watching let's plays of games I will never have, the next big game I look forward to is Kingdom Hearts 3. I. Cannot. Wait. I'M SO EXCITED! We all must be, admit it. It's Kingdom Hearts, those games are like the base upon which many of us built our gaming childhood.}
But, all that aside, this should be done by the time Easter is over. (^~^) Look forward to it and my your Easter donuts be as plentiful as your chocolates.
