A/N: I know it's been a long time, and I apologize. Here it is; I'll save my long note for the bottom.

Halloween was a difficult day in the Potter household. Being the day Lily and James were murdered (just around the corner from their new house, in fact...), Harry was sad and tense. James and Albus wanted to go trick-or-treating like all their friends. Ginny saw both sides of the coin, and the year Teddy started at Hogwarts they came up with a plan - mourn in the morning, and trick-or-treat that night.

"Mummy! I wanted to be the train driver, but now Al stole my idea!" James complained as the Potters were shopping for costumes at a Muggle store.

"Well, is there anything else you can be, dear?" Ginny asked, slightly flustered.

"No! I wanna be a train driver!"

"How about you, Al?" Ginny asked, shifting Lily in her arms.

"Well, I could be Dumblebore," Albus said, really thinking.

"Dumbledore?" Ginny asked, taken aback.

"Daddy really likes him," Albus said with a shrug. "And he has my name."

"That's true..."

"So I can be a train driver, then?" James said, pulling the costume off of the hook.

"I can't believe Al chose to be Dumbledore," Ginny told Hermione through the phone.

"He can't go around a Muggle neighborhood saying he's Dumbledore, though," Hermione said.

"I know; Harry told him to say he was Merlin if we were at one of the Muggle houses."

"You have your hands full, Gin," Hermione said. Ginny could hear her shake her head through the phone.

"You have two babies of your own, Mrs. Weasley!"

"Don't call me that!" Hermione said, laughing. "Mrs. Weasley will always be your mother, Mrs. Potter!"

"I can't say I know any other Mrs. Potters," Ginny said, a hint of sadness in her voice.

"That's right; it's... almost 30 years now, isn't it?"

"Amazingly. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday I was worried about you four traveling the country looking for horcruxes."

"Mummy!" Rose shouted loud enough for Ginny to hear through the phone. "I done eating!"

"Alright, sweetie!" Hermione said. "I'll talk to you later, okay, Gin? We still have to talk about my latest case!"

"Sounds good, Hermione," Ginny said, hanging up the phone. Ginny missed playing pro Quidditch, although she loved writing for The Prophet, but she was glad Hermione loved her new job in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!" James said, coming and jumping on his parents' bed. Albus followed, saying "hallobean!" over and over again.

"Happy Halloween, boys," Harry said, smiling at his two angels. Ginny grinned.

"Boys, why don't we go make some pancakes for your daddy?" she asked.

"Panake!" Al said, jumping off the bed.

"Actually, Mum, I wanted to talk to Daddy about somefing," James said, inching his way in between his parents.

"Alright, sweetie," Ginny said, picking Al up and heading out the door.

"What's up, James?" Harry asked.

"I wanted to know about Gram and Gramps Potter," James said quietly.

"My mum and dad?" Harry asked, startled.

"Yeah, Daddy. It's the day the lost, right?"

Harry wasn't sure whether to cry or laugh. "Kinda, buddy. What did you want to know about my parents?"

"What were they like?"

"Well, buddy, I don't really remember my parents. They died when I was a little younger than Lily. I've met some people who knew them, though, and they always said your gram, Lily, was kind, smart, sweet, and a bit fiery."

"She's like Mummy?" James asked, wide-eyed.

Harry thought a laugh was right this time. "Kind of. And your gramps, James -"

"That's my name!" James pointed out. Harry laughed again, wondering if his son had ever paid attention to anything about Harry's past. "Yes. You're named after him, buddy. Anyway, he and my godfather, Sirius -"

"THat's mine, too!"

"Yep. That's 'cause you're named after him as well, James. Anyway, they joked around a lot like Uncle George, and they were..."

"They were what?"

"They both wanted to make the world a better place."

"By beating you-know-who?"

"Yep, by beating Voldemort. And they helped do it, too. Without either of them, I couldn't have had the strength to beat him."

James was silent for a moment, processing all that Harry had told him. He wasn't sure what exactly Harry had meant by everything he'd said, but James did get the general picture. "I wanna meet them, Daddy," he said quietly.

"I think you will someday, buddy. I have a few memories of them I can show you after you start school, okay?" James thought Harry's offer over.

"Alright, Daddy. I love you."

It was after midnight on the 31 of October (well, I guess it's really November first now), and the two Potter boys were passed out, their sugar highs finally dying down.

"What did James want this morning, Harry?" Ginny asked as they were getting into bed.

"He wanted to talk about my mum and dad," Harry said, the shock he was still feeling about the conversation coming through in his voice.

"Really? What did he say?"

"He wanted to know more about them. So I told him some stuff he'd understand," Harry said with a shrug.

"I'm sure your parents look down on you - on the family we've made - and smile every day."

Harry looked at Ginny, tears in his eyes. He didn't know what to say. It was a hard day for him, especially having to talk about it all the next day. At least on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts his friends gave speeches and such with him. On Harry Potter day, the spotlight was all his.

"Harry?" Ginny said after a little while. "You okay?"

"Yeah, Gin. I'm fine."

Lily Potter looked down on her son, finally falling asleep after a day that had been an emotional rollercoaster. James walked over to where Lily was sitting.

"How's our baby holding up?" James asked.

"It's hard to believe our baby has three babies of his own," Lily said, looking at her husband.

"We'd have had more if we hadn't.. you know..." James said.

"Died?" Sirius said, walking over.

"Yeah, mate. If we hadn't of died."

"He's done amazingly," Lily said, smiling at her son.

"Of course, he's our child," James said, his eyes laughing.

"And he had me for a godfather.." Sirius said. The three gazed down at Harry's sleeping form, sad smiles on all their faces.

And so ends this fic! I'm actually really sad that it's over... It's my first completed multi-chapter story, ever. I'm like tearing up as I write this note... wow. Um, I want to thank everyone that has favorited, followed, and reviewed. You made me want to keep going even when I had no clue what to write for the Harry/Ginny chapters. I hope, hope, hope you liked this story, and you try something else I've written. I don't know what else to say... Please review. What are your final thoughts? Did the ending satisfy you?

Thank you for just taking the time to read.
