A/N: Is anyone still reading? It's been about a year and eight months since the last update and I'm sorry. I've been gone for a year, but I'm back now and writing again. To make up for lost time, this chapter turned out to be very long with lots of love and fluff. Happy reading and thank you for sticking with me if you're still reading this story.

Also, thank you to everyone who's still been reviewing in my absence.

Dean leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest, smiling as he watched Margo rush around the bedroom and trying to pack a bag. She was visibly nervous, fearing she might forget something important to bring.

The excitement was tangible that morning, all three of them were looking forward to their trip to the park they had promised their daughter. Deanna came running into the room every five minutes to ask if her parents were ready and then storming out again, starting to get impatient. She couldn't wait to get out of the house.

"It's really chilly today." Margo mused and glanced out the window. "Do you think we should pack another blanket? You know, just in case Deanna gets cold."

"Are you going to the park or getting ready for a two-week- trip to another state?" Dean replied calmly, but Margo could still hear the smile in his tone.

She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. "You're right. We won't need all this stuff, I'm in overprotective mommy-mode again."

Dean chuckled at her words. "I always have an extra blanket in the Impala, if that makes you feel better."

"Yeah, it really does." She breathed out in relief and turned to him with a smile, seeing him standing there casually and watching her intently.

She raised an eyebrow and mimicked his posture, crossing her arms over her chest. "What are you staring at, Winchester?"

"Isn't it obvious? You, of course. Shamelessly checking you out. What's with the glasses?" He stated, making Margo blush.

"My contacts are killing me." She said and quickly brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "You don't like it?"

Dean walked over to her with a smile and wrapped his arms around her waist, feeling his heart rate pick up when she automatically turned to him and let him embrace her. "You know damn well I do. Reminds me of college."

Just like he had intended, his remark made her cheeks turn even redder. "God, I was such a dork in college." She let out a nervous laugh and looked up at him hesitantly, feeling vulnerable and self-conscious all of a sudden. But what she saw in Dean's eyes caused that feeling to dissipate.

"You were beautiful and hot as hell." Dean whispered and Margo narrowed her eyes at him playfully. "Now what is that supposed to mean? You don't think I'm hot?"

Dean leaned in, his lips almost brushing against hers. "No... I think you're even hotter now..."

"Thanks. You sure grew up fine as well, daddy." Margo said quietly, running her hands slowly up his chest. "Look at all the muscle... good god..."

Dean grinned, hearing the desire in her voice. He tightened his hold on her and crushed her to his chest, wanting to kiss her.

"Are you ready yet?" Deanna's voice sounded through the room and her parents jumped apart, quickly brought back to reality by her appearance.

Dean and Margo looked down at their daughter, trying to compose themselves as the six-year-old awaited their reply.

"Almost, apple pie." Dean managed to say, though he still felt a little hazy, and smiled when she let out an impatient sigh. "What's taking you two so long?"

Margo was relieved when she saw that Deanna was already dressed, but then her eyes wandered to her long uncombed hair.

"You need to get a hair cut, baby." She ran a hand through her daughter's long blond curls with a sigh. "It's getting impossible to tame this mane."

Hearing her mother's words, Deanna quickly took a few steps back in panic and shook her head in protest. "No... no, no, no."

Her parents laughed at her reaction.

"You can go back to packing, mom. I'll fix this little problem." Dean announced and took his daughter's hand to lead her out of the room. "We'll see you downstairs, okay? Just hurry." He called over his shoulder as he and Deanna walked down the hallway to the staircase.

"Okay." Margo smiled at them and then took a deep breath to calm herself when she was alone.

Her heart had returned to its normal pace, but she still wasn't sure what the hell had just happened between her and Dean. Ever since their last fight they had barely talked to each other and have been keeping their distance. It was still cold between them and hadn't been getting any warmer.

But something was clearly changing again. So far the day had been good, she and Dean hadn't had a fight which was a good sign. Margo didn't know whether it meant something or whether Dean was simply being playful and flirty.

Either way, she wasn't freaking out about going to the park now and having to spend a whole day with him. In fact, she was looking forward to spending time together as a family.

Downstairs, Dean was wondering what the hell had gotten into him as he was combing and braiding his daughter's hair until a neat French braid was flowing down to the middle of her back.

He was supposed to be pissed at Margo and stay away; instead he flirted with her and even almost kissed her. He hated it to be so hung up on her. After their last stupid fight he had promised himself not to be the first to give in. It was Margo's turn to admit what she truly wanted from this family or tell him to beat it for good.

Dean sighed, put the hairbrush aside and leaned back in his chair when he was done. He would accept it if she told him she didn't want him the same way he wanted her. But he couldn't take the whole back-and-forth thing or whatever the hell it was they had going on at the moment any longer.

"Thanks, dad." Deanna's soft voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Anything for you, apple pie." He smiled when she jumped up and ran out of the kitchen. Seconds later he heard her calling for her mom.

"Coming!" Margo shouted back as she came down the steps with a huge bag she had packed for the park. "Wow, your hair looks great, baby!" She stopped short when she saw her daughter and admired Dean's work.

"You like it?" Deanna asked, twirling around, so that her mother could inspect her hair. "Daddy braided my hair."

"Yes, I do. I'm impressed, Winchester." She told Dean with a smile when he joined them in the hallway.

"Well, I think I should quit my job and start a career as a hairdresser." He joked and added with a smirk, "I got a lot of practice lately."

"Yeah, I can see that. You're really good." Margo praised him. Deanna huffed in annoyance when her parents didn't move and remained standing in the hallway, smiling at each other.

"Can we go now? Please!" Margo put her carefully packed bag down to help Deanna put her jacket on.

"You got everything?" Dean asked, picking up the heavy bag with a smile. He shook his head in amusement, but refrained from making a comment.

"Yeah, I think so. You got the box with food?" Margo asked as she turned to check the room one last time.

"Already in the car." Dean answered patiently and turned to the door. "Let's go."

"Finally! We're going to the park!" Deanna exclaimed with excitement and sprinted out the front door and to the car without waiting for her parents. "Mom, Dad, hurry!"

Dean plopped down next to Margo on the bench and stretched out his legs with a sigh. Deanna took the sandwich her mother handed her and sprinted back to the swings on the playground, ignoring her parents completely.

"Deanna, wait!" Her mother called after her and the girl turned to her impatiently. "Please do me a favor and put your gloves on, okay? It's starting to get cold."

"But mom... I can't really hold my sandwich when I'm wearing gloves. I'm not cold, I swear!" She whined, pleading with her mother to let her go play again.

Dean chuckled at the expression on her face and Margo sighed heavily. "Fine. But if you start freezing, you get back here, alright?"

Deanna nodded and took off. Margo leaned back on the bench and Dean loosely wrapped his arm around her.

"Stop smothering her, mommy." He said quietly into her ear and gave her a smile when she met his eyes.

"But she's my baby, I'm afraid she's gonna get a cold."

"I know. But I'm sure she'll be fine."

Margo leaned closer into his side and cuddled up to him. Dean raised an eyebrow, a cocky smirk playing on his lips. "Are you cold, sweetheart?"

Margo felt her whole body heat up. "No, I just wanted to... Do you mind?"

"No, I don't mind at all." He whispered, his hot breath fanning over her face and neck. He pressed a gentle kiss to her temple and tightened his hold around her shoulders to pull her closer into his side.

"This was a good idea." He murmured into her hair and felt her nod her head lightly.

"Yeah, it's really nice here..."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, looking around the park and watching their daughter play with two other kids on the playground. Dean's body heat was seeping through her jacket and into her skin. He ran his hand up and down her arm, the slow and gentle caresses almost lulled her to sleep. He was so close now, and the scent of his leather jacket and aftershave caused her heart to ache with need. She wanted to be with him so bad.

"I could stay like this forever." She confessed and lifted her head to place a soft kiss to his neck.

"Yeah, me too." Dean closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, leaning his head against hers. He enjoyed having her so close to him, holding her in his arms. Those moments between them were too rare. But he ached for her, wanted her so bad. The need to be with her was almost painful. He longed for her just as much now as when he had first spotted her in the crowd at that college party ten years ago. But he was afraid she didn't feel the same way anymore.

A while later, Deanna called for them and pulled them out of their bittersweet moment. Dean and Margo got up to go on the slide with their daughter one last time before the last rays of sunshine disappeared.

It had already started to darken outside when they were on their way home. The sun was slowly vanishing somewhere in the horizon with every passing minute and everything seemed grey through the windows of the car.

Deanna fell asleep in the backseat, exhausted from the long adventurous day. Margo looked over her shoulder at her daughter, smiling when she saw the peaceful look on her face and then settled back in the soft leather seat. The purring engine of the Impala was so familiar and soothing and the pleasant warmth inside the car enveloped her, protecting her from the cold outisde.

Margo glanced over at Dean behind the wheel. His eyes focused on the dark road ahead, he was paying full attention to the traffic. The faint street lights illuminated his features, pointing out the concentration on his face.

At that moment, there was no place she would rather be, she was exactly where she wanted to be. Here with Dean and her daughter. Margo hadn't felt this happy in years.

Averting her gaze, she looked out the window on her side at the blurred surroundings for a few seconds. She hesitated a little, debating whether to tell him or not, and then looked back at him.

"You're so good with her." She said quietly, it was almost a whisper.

Dean's head shot in her direction. Margo saw the confusion in his eyes and the surprised look on his face before his gaze returned to the road.

"I really mean it, you're a good father, Dean...you're an amazing father, actually." Margo admitted with a soft smile. "I never told you how much this means to me."

Dean stared at her for a moment as if she had lost her mind. He tried to figure out what she was up to. Did she want something from him? Was this a new kind of strategy to mess with him?

"Are you okay?" He cleared his throat and forced himself to concentrate on traffic again. He heard Margo chuckle softly.

"Yeah, I just wanted to let you know I appreciate it and I don't take it for granted that you're here... You know, when I found out that I was pregnant, I was scared out of my mind... I feared you'd bail and leave me wih the baby."

"What?" Dean exclaimed in shock, having not expected where this conversation was headed. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and tried to keep his tone light. "You were scared? Really? I never noticed. I remember you were a little nervous when you first told me, but... but after the shock you seemed so cool to me, you handled it surprisingly well."

"Yeah... I've tried, it was pretty terrifying, though. We were so young, I mean, we weren't teens, but still very young and... and God knows it wasn't planned..." Margo continued and Dean chuckled at her last words, making her smile a little. Taking a deep breath, she sought the right words to tell him what she had wanted to all along. "The last thing a guy in his twenties wants is a baby, yet you stayed with me. So I tried not to be all too clingy, you know. I didn't want to drive you away."

Dean quickly glanced at her and gripped the steering wheel tighter, feeling his palms starting to sweat and the blood rush in his ears. It was silent in the car as he processed Margo's words and contemplated thoroughly what they meant. He wasn't sure what she wanted to hear, what she was expecting from him now. Was she still afraid he was going to leave her and his daughter? Did she really think he was capable of abandoning his family? The thought was crushing.

Did he really appear to be so heartless?

When Margo thought Dean wasn't going to respond, he cleared his throat and spoke up, taking her by surprise.

"Margo... you've nothing to worry about, I'll never leave, alright? I'd never do that to you, shouldn't you know that by now?" His voice was low and gruff, a bit too stern. Though he tried not to let it show how annoyed he was by the fact that she apparently had such a low opinion of him. Dean took a deep breath, telling himself to get a grip. He knew she meant well. "I'm not a jackass."

Margo looked at him quietly, feeling bad for irritating him. "I know, I didn't mean to upset you."

"I know, it's fine. I'm sorry." He replied, giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm always here, always gonna be... and you can be as clingy with me as you want, I really don't mind." He added with a smirk, hoping it would make up for his harsh tone.

"Okay... I'll keep that in mind." She replied after a few seonds, smiling at him. "Careful, Winchester... you don't know what you're getting yourself into."

Dean chuckled, amused.

"It's just, I couldn't have done this without you, is all I'm trying to say." She whispered, glancing at Deanna's small sleeping form. "I'm happy with the way everything's turned out, more than happy, actually. Back then I thought my life was over, but now it's the best thing that's ever happened to me... and I'm so thankful that it happened with you. You mean so much to me, Dean. I couldn't have asked for a better father for my daughter, I'm so glad you're her daddy."

Dean was overwhelmed, speechless. He didn't know what to do, so he just stared at the taillights of the car in front of him as he rolled to a stop at a traffic light. She was sitting there next to him, with that soft smile on her lips and that look on her face that made him want to fulfil her every wish. Her words... they had sounded so genuine, as if she meant what she said.

Reaching over, Dean took her hand and placed a tender kiss on the back of it. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Margo's lips were a little parted as she stared at him, taken aback by his move. She felt his lips and hot breath on her skin and it instantly made her heart beat faster. The slightest touch from him excited her. She nodded, not able to say anything, and simply entwined their hands, giving his hand a light squeeze. Dean smiled at her and she smiled back at him the way he knew she only smiled for him. Margo felt a pleasant warmth spread through her at the proximity and rare peacefulness between them, hoping it would last a while.

Reluctantly, Dean let go of her hand and focused back on driving when the traffic light turned green. The rest of the way home they stayed silent, but this time there was no awkward tension and no hard feelings between them.

They reached the driveway of Dean's house and he put the Impala in park, before stepping out and opening the door to the backseat to scoop Deanna up. The little girl let out a sigh in her sleep, but didn't wake up, and Dean followed Margo up the steps to the porch. She unlocked the door and moved aside to let him in first and walked in after him, closing and locking the front door behind her.

Margo carried the bag and the box with the leftover food from their day at the park into the kitchen and then hurried upstairs to give Dean a hand tucking Deanna in.

"She'll probably sleep through 'til the morning without waking up." Dean stated as he covered her up.

Margo chuckled softly. "Yeah, today was a good day."

Deanna rolled onto her side and tucked her fist under her chin. Margo brushed a few loose strands of hair behind her ear and ran a soft hand down her daughter's back. When she felt Dean's eyes on her, she turned her head. His green eyes seemed darker and more intense in the dim light of the room. There was no doubt as to what was on his mind.

"It was a very good day." He mumbled, his gaze drifting to her lips before flickering back to her eyes. An amused smile stretched his face. "We didn't even fight once, that's gotta be some kinda record.

Margo let out a breathless laugh. She didn't pull away from him and Dean decided to risk it. He leaned closer to where she was sitting on the other side of Deanna's bed, praying for her not to push him away. Slowly, he pressed his lips to her mouth and felt her react, felt the unhesitant pressure of her soft lips as she scooted closer to him and kissed him back. Dean lifted one hand, cupping her face and licked her bottom lip to coax her into deepening the kiss.

Margo put her hands on his shoulders, pulled away and took a deep breath. "Dean..." She mumbled.

"Wait... what? You wanna stop?" He breathed out, noticing that he was about to beg her and forced himself to keep his mouth shut.

"No, but... we should get out of here, don't you think? We're still in our daughter's room." She said quietly and pointed to Deanna. Dean followed her gaze, realizing that they had almost made out not only a feet away from their daughter. Shaking his head, he let out a relieved breath and got up, taking Margo's hand in his and pulling her with him.

As soon as the door to Deanna's room closed, he pushed her up against the wall in the hallway and Margo wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him down to her for another kiss, chuckling against his lips at his eagerness. He was acting like a teenage boy who was about to get laid for the first time.

She ran her fingers through his hair and bit his bottom lip, making him groan. Dean leaned into her, needing to feel her body flush against his, and ran his hands down her sides until he reached the seam of her shirt. Margo let out a sigh when his fingertips brushed the skin of her lower back and parted her lips to taste more of him. Dean slipped his tongue into her mouth, groaning quietly when he felt her hot wet tongue join in the battle.

Her grip around his neck loosened and her hands wandered down his chest and slipped under his shirt to carress the hard muscles of his abdomen. He moaned into the kiss and moved further down her body to cup her ass and press her lower body against the growing bulge in his jeans.

Margo squealed into his mouth in surprise and grabbed the collar of his leather jacket. Dean felt her pull back mere inches, her tongue leaving his mouth only to swipe along his bottom lip and then suck teasingly.

"Dean..." She breathed out, gasping when his mouth suddenly moved lower down her neck to nibble at her collarbone. "Dean... baby... "

She called him baby and that did something very funny to his heart, but at the moment he wasn't able to explain the feeling as desire took a hold of him, thrummed through his veins. He would go insane if he didn't get her in his bed soon and he feared she might try to back out again. He wouldn't let her though, not this time.

He lifted his head to look at her. "Shut up, sweetheart."

"But Dean... bedroom..." She moaned into his ear.

"You're not going anywhere."

She frowned in confusion as she tried to regain the ability to think and laughed when it hit her. "You're not going to let me go home, right?"

"Damn straight."

"Fine." Margo sighed. "But we're still in the hallway... right next to our daughter's room."

"Right..." Dean uttered as it dawned on him that Margo wasn't running away from him and not making up another excuse not to have sex with him. She wanted this just as much as he did.

His head started to spin as she pulled him in with a sweet smile and joined their lips again. Dean wrapped his arms around her, kissing her deeply as he backed her slowly down the hall towards his bedroom without breaking the kiss. Margo let out a surprised yelp and then laughed when he undid her jeans and shoved his hand in.

She closed her eyes and sucked in a desperate breath when his palm cupped her through her underwear and he slowly started to rub. "Whoa, Winchester... let's make it to bed first, okay? Then you can do whatever you want to me." Margo managed to say under her breath, but he saw in her eyes that she didn't mind this at all.

Another surge of blood travelled to his lower body at her words as he imagined all the delicious things he had fantasized about doing with the mother of his child once he got his hands on her.

"Just tryin' to avoid you changing your mind, is all, sweetheart." Dean grinned, opening the door to his room and pushing her in.

"Not gonna happen. I'm sick of us arguing, and this is the only way to make it stop." Margo replied, nibbling at her bottom lip in anticipation and moving backwards into the room.

Dean raised an eyebrow, a cocky smirk spreading across his face. He kicked the door, not bothering to check whether it had completely closed behind him.

"Glad you feel that way too, 'cause you sure as hell ain't leaving here tonight."

A shiver ran down her spine at his seductive tone. He approached her, causing her to take a few steps back. When she felt her legs hit the bed, she grabbed a fistful of his jacket and pulled him with her onto the unmade bed.

Yes, sexy times ahead;)
