Chapter 10 – The Abduction of Pipes & Leo

Piper POV

Leo and I are at the beach hanging out. Jason left Camp Half-Blood to go visit his friends at Camp Jupiter. So this is Leo's plan to cheer me up and, surprisingly, it's working.

My clothes are damp from the splash war we had earlier and now we're having a competition on who can find the most sea glass.

"You're going down, Valdez!" I shout.

"Not today, Beauty Queen, not today!" He calls back.

Then something hits my shoulder. I feel a short flash of pain and then-

Lacey POV

I slowly rise out of the water. Piper and Leo's backs are turned to me. I carefully aim my crossbow at Piper. Unfortunately I don't have a way to take both of them out with one arrow. Too bad, that was pretty cool.

I release the arrow and Piper collapses. Quickly, before Leo can see me, I shoot him too.

I wade out of the ocean and stuff Piper and Leo into their potato sacks. I cackle excitedly and drag the potato sacks into the ocean.

This is great. No, this is wonderful. Gods, I have so many plans for these two. While I pull the two demigods behind me towards the boat I think excitedly of all the things I can do with Piper and Leo, especially Leo. This will be so much fun. If Leo is anything like I've read, then the guy who always picks up the phone at Round Table doesn't stand a chance.

I peek into the potato sacks to check on my kidnapees. I frown when I see their faces. Their mouths are open. Are they trying to drown themselves?

I sigh, we're almost to the boat anyway. I drag toss them into the boat and then I climb in next them. I start the motor on the small aluminum fishing boat and I pray to gods that Percy doesn't find us. Hee might let me take them, but I don't want to risk it.
