Chapter 10

"I got it!" Robin yelled running from his room in Mt. Justice. The team looked up as he ran into the room.

Kaldur stood up. "Woah slow down, my friend. Got what?"

Robin took a breath and held up a bottle of clear liquid. "This will fix it, this will get the virus out of our bodies. Nothing will hold KF down if we get rid of this! We could go save him!"

"How do you know it works?" Conner looked at him.

Robin looked at the bottle and grinned. "I took a blood sample and found the little electronic virus. I looked at the technology and though it was advanced I was able to find a glitch in the system. I made my own little bugs that will go into our blood stream and shut off Jokers virus."

Artemis then looked at him, "How do you know all this technology in our blood won't hurt us? What if we get electrocuted or something?" Artemis crossed her arms.

Robin gave a little huff of annoyance. "Seriously guys. Don't you trust me at all? I've checked it all out. We might feel a little weird afterwards but I don't have time to work on that. Do you want to help Wally or not?"

Zatanna smiled and went up to Robin, "I'll take it. Is it a shot or a drink or what?"

Robin went into the kitchen and grabbed some cups. "I made it to where you can mix it with a drink. Besides Superboys skin would just shatter any needle that I had access to." He said while he mixed his antidote into the drinks.

Wally woke up in a cold, dark, room. It smelled like a hospital and looked like one from what he could see. Wally went to move when he felt cold metal on his ankles and wrists, he looked to find he was bound onto a metal table. He pulled against his binds to no avail, he soon realized how tired and hungry he was and stopped pulling. He was taking in his surrounding when the lights flashed on, blinding him temporarily.

"Hello Prince." Wally heard the Jokers horrid voice fill the room like a gas, infecting all who was unfortunate enough to be in it's way. Wally felt a chill run down his spine, whether it was from his cold surroundings or the chilling voice he wasn't sure.

"Your disobedience has really put a halt on my plans. I had to go steal the machine myself. And that is a big inconvenience because I had things to do. I had to wait to dispose of some worthless material. Since Rudolph no longer benefited me I got rid of him." Joker sat down in a chair near the table Wally was strapped to.

"What did you do with him?" Wally looked at Joker his eyes wide.

"Why do you care? Since when did you start caring for him? Why does it even matter what I did with him, I made him a deal and I kept my side." Joker waved off his question and grinned madly.

"Now. As I was saying, I had to get the machine myself and believe it or not they wouldn't let me have it. They have horrible customer service at Wayne Enterprise. So I had to use my laughing gas just to get past the guards. Then low and behold Batman showed up and there was a big fight and-" Joker frowned a bit. "You get the point."

Wally grinned hearing this, "You got your butt handed to you, that's what happened. Then you came back empty handed, you'll never get that machine and I'll never stop fighting you." Wally growled at him. Joker stood up and walked around the table slowly, staring Wally down.

"I will get that machine. And you will obey me. If not then I'll simply leave you in this room to starve to death. Or I could bring your friends in and you could watch as I slowly torture them to madness. Either way, you will obey me or die. So this is my offer. I can leave you in here with nothing to eat or drink until I get ahold of the machine and force you to obey me, or you obey me willingly and do my errands and you'll be rewarded." Joker sat back down, "Prince I consider myself a reasonable villain. But you are really pushing me to the end of my rope. I would've killed you if I didn't see all the benefits you could bring me, and want to take on taming a hero as a challenge." Joker smiled showing his nasty yellow teeth. "Make your choice, Prince."

"I choose that you let me go and leave my friends alone." Wally looked at him.

Joker stood up once more, "Wrong choice." Joker growled. He went over to Wally. "But you know what helps me make a right choice? A little game. Lets play a game."

Wally shook his head, "I don't like games."

Joker laughed madly. "You don't get a choice!" He went out the door and came back a few minutes later with four boxes. "Here's the rules. You can pick one box, only one box. Whatever is inside the box is the game we will play. So pick."

Wally bit his lip, he knew whatever choice he made would end up in pain so he might as well get it over with. He sighed and looked at a dark brown chest that was fairly small. Wally sighed and decided on that one.

"The small brown chest." Wally sighed.

Joker grinned and opened the box, "Excellent choice."

Robin nodded to show he was done. They all went into the kitchen.

"Okay now all we have to do is-" Robin paused as Superboy downed his drink. "-drink it." Robin raised an eyebrow and Conner just shrugged.

"I knew what to do." Robin sighed but nodded at the rest of the team to drink their drinks, Robin drank his and waited for everyone to finish.

"Now we are probably going to feel weird and I don't think we should try to go right now. Everyone should rest for a few hours before we do anything. " Robin said.

Aqualad nodded, "We will rest and when Robin gives us an okay that the medicine worked we will make a plan to help Kid Flash before anything else happens."

M'gann looked up, "Should I make something to take? In case Wally is hungry?"

Kaldur shook his head, "That is kind of you Miss Martian, but we should focus on resting then making a plan. We can get Wally something when he's back here and safe. Any other questions." The team looked at each other and shook their heads.

"Okay, then go rest. We will meet in a few hours." The team nodded in agreement and went to lay down waiting for the technology to take down the virus.
