Casper high 4 months later first week of finals
Danny and Paulina walked down hallway together holding hands. As the couple walked down the halls towards their respective lockers they once again noticed everyone was looking at them still. It wasn't all that surprising seeing as no one ever expected the most popular girl in school to get with the third biggest outcast in the school but now the former really found it annoying. Had it been the her from 6 or even 2 months ago she would have went off of them or found away to make them even more miserable however after the 3 month as well as some words from Danny she finally understood that some things would never change.
'I guess some of them still think I am stringing him along and are waiting for the big joke when I break his heart. Well I hate to break it to them but that isn't going to happen. In fact after what happened in my room that night I can totally see why that Goth geek wanted you to herself. Sure you were totally clueless to her affections at the time but you are really sweet to me overall and if I had to guess the only guy that could tolerate her.' Paulina thought to herself letting go of Danny's hand.
The lost of contact wasn't missed by her boyfriend who at first thought she was going to go about her business until he once again felt her dainty soft hand back on his once again. However instead of holding his hand like before she once again place it around her flawless hourglass waist like 6 months and a week ago snuggled into his chest while continuing to walk down the hall.
(1) "Eres mucho mejor que mi peluche Danny Phantom para sostener. a diferencia de mi juguete no viviente, eres muy agradable de sostener y desearía no tener que dejarte ir." Paulina replied to her boyfriend never losing her smile.
(2)"Puedo decir lo mismo de ti Paulina ... menos lo de Plushie, por supuesto." Danny answered back in perfect Spanish which caused Paulina's heart to soar even more.
(AN: I decided to change the class that Mr. Potty-Mouth was teaching them to a Spanish one instead of a Latin one. The previous chapters will also reflect this change)
Even though she had been tutoring him for almost half a year thanks to her efforts, and little unknown help from a certain wishing making Goth Danny was now 100 percent bilingual in all the languages Paulina spoke. He could not only hold his own in a fully Spanish and/or Latin neighborhood when that was the only language spoken, but he could also translate and even correct errors made just as good as Paulina could. However, for a single purpose both Paulina and Danny decided to keep this secret under wraps for one reason that would make them both share a trait with a certain vindictive wishing ghost.
After all the trouble, harassment, and overall dirty tactics he used both Paulina and Danny wanted to not just crush Mr Potty-Mouth, but rather destroy him without mercy. However, if he figured out that Danny could speak the language as fluently as Paulina then it would scare him or cause him to try some other nasty tactics or back out of the wager. So for the sake of everything they planned the two of them agreed it would be best to make it look as though his progress was moving much slower than normal for the sake of this one goal.
(3)'Pero cuando llega el momento de la prueba que me arroja, es cuando dejo que mis verdaderas habilidades brillen. Puedo esperar para verlo con el huevo en la cara cuando como lo que sea que me arroje.' Danny thought to himself never losing his smile.
As the couple walked continued to walk through the hallway a certain group of A-list Jocks glared at the couple or rather the former outcast who dared to claim their Alpha female who also happened to be their queen. Not only was this still insulting and went against everything that was good and right with the A-lists, but they also noticed the effect he had on her. After about the 4th month of them being together they noticed Paulina changing in their honest opinion for the worst. Not only was she no longer impressed with the way they treated the weaker uncool students like she used to before, but in several cases even scolded them for doing so. Heck in one case she even prevented it from outright happening and even threatened to kick said jock out of the group if he did it again.
'The normal Paulina would have never done that! She would have been laughed along with us at the losers pain, and would have promoted us to do so. This is all that loser Fenton's doing! As much as I hate to say it she has been with him so much that he is having an negative effect on her! There has to be a way to get him to leave her. This way she can go back to who she was before she got with that loser otherwise if worse comes to worst we might have to actually do 'that'.' Dash thought to himself as the couple walked by him.
It wasn't just the A-list Jocks who were still pissed off at this couple being together either. A certain Goth girl who was still best friends with Danny couldn't help but feel the same hate towards the couple but instead of having her hate directed towards Danny, it was fully focused on Paulina. She had a lot of nerve stealing the boy she liked once again. It was bad enough that she used him to get to her the first time around, but now she was not only doing it again, but this time around was holding onto him longer than ever. While she did promise Danny she would try to tolerate Paulina keyword being 'try', every fiber in her being still felt this union was so wrong.
'Look at her snugging into his chest while walking with him down the hallway. That should be me holding him like that, that should be me making him happy! Danny is far too good and out of the league of someone as vile and putrid as that shallow puddle! I swear Danny is sometimes far too nice for his own good…' Sam thought to herself before letting out a sigh. 'But then again that is part of the reason I like him so much. Lord knows I have done so many things to cause him grief in the past and he always gave me a second chance despite how bad they were. Plus as much as I hate to admit it Danny is surprisingly doing what should be impossible. He is actually making it so Paulina is slightly less annoying… god why couldn't it be someone else making Paulina a better person and not my Danny!?' Sam screamed in her head before slamming her fist into her locker only for it to go right through the steel before pulling out her surprisingly uninjured hand.
This didn't go unnoticed by Tucker who at this point could help but shake his head.
'You would have figured that Sam would have gotten over this by now, but she is almost as bad with it as the A-list jocks are. Plus this is the 10th locker she has wreaked due to her anger. While she has kept her promise to not to do anything horrible to Paulina, or openly disrespect their relationship her inability to truly accept it is borderline scary and the three of us hunt ghosts.' Tucker thought to himself as he watched Mr. Lancer come up to the duo and shake his head.
"Ms Manson while I know you feel that the best couple in our school is even more unnatural than a pig that isn't a ghost flying, that doesn't give you the right to continuously destroy school property so unless you want to your parents to learn about this I suggest you find a way to safely vent your anger that doesn't involve you continuously destroying school property, or you beating Ms. Paulina to a bloody pulp." Mr. Lancer explained striking a nerve with Sam.
"Just because I personally feel Danny is too good for her, and she doesn't deserve him doesn't mean I would beat her to a pulp. 'that is for my Paulina size punching bag'" Sam said thinking that last part to herself.
"Well this is your final warning Ms. Manson one more damaged locker and I will be forced to call your parents." Mr. Lancer said before walking off.
No sooner did Mr. Lancer give Sam this warning did the warning bell ring signaling the 5 minute mark before everyone was late for class. Seeing as today was the big day for Danny and everyone who had Mr. Potty-Mouth's test the students who had him walked to his class some of which gulping due to not wanting to take the test. However, upon looking as his face Sam noticed that Danny had an aura around him that she normally doesn't see unless he was playing a video game he knew like the back of his hand, or fighting the easier to deal with ghosts.
'If Danny has an aura of confidence that this strong when normally he dreads anything Spanish related then Mr. Potty-Mouth distaste with Paulina due to being a know it all in Spanish has merit. Ugh if he does pass this class that means I am going to be indebted to her because it will be because of her that me and Tucker will have our best friend with us for the summer.' Sam begrudgingly thought as she walked into her class with the other students.
Spanish class
Mr. Potty-Mouth couldn't help but feel happy today and for good reason. It was due to knowing that this would be the day he would fail not only what he considered the biggest waste of space in the class (Danny Fenton) but also knocked that thinks she knows it all Latina girl down a couple of pegs due to her charge failing while also putting her into summer school. So for the sake of everything Mr. Potty-Mouth unlike with anyone else wasn't pulling any punches with Danny's test. While the other Spanish finals had basic to moderate challenging but at the same time reasonable material that they went over, Danny's like Paulina's had AP (Advance Placement) questions that no one outside of him or Paulina should be able to answer while at the same time wasn't covered in the class. He even somehow convinced the principal to allow him to do this which while a feat in itself only serve to promote his agenda.
Deciding to take his seat and drink his morning coffee Mr. Potty-Mouth watched as she students came into the classroom one by one each with different expressions. He watched as Dash and Kwan walked into the room each with a nervous expression on their faces. This was due to like Danny both of them were doing poorly at best with his classwork and even poorer on his tests. While Kwan at best was managing C- work, Dash was surprisingly just above dead last in the last.
'That slot was reserved for little turd Danny Fenton. But no matter seeing as the later detests that turd as much as I do and makes sure to torment him no matter what he scores I will give him a C+ anyways. Besides seeing as I am the only Spanish teacher in this school I can pass or fail anyone I please through the grade slots.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought to himself as he watch the two of them take a seat next to each other.
As Mr. Potty-Mouth continued to drink his morning coffee he then noticed Mikey, Lester, Nathan, and a few of the nameless nerds enter the class. While their grades in his class were pretty decent ranging from C to B+ at best most of them were neutral with him at best.
'Though with Mikey seeing as he is one of the better students in the class I tend to push him harder which was why his grades went from a C+ to a B+. I was so hoping he would overtake the top spot in class but sadly that wasn't the case.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought to himself as he watch them split up and sit down in their respective seats.
The next couple of students that came in were, Tucker Foley, Sam Manson, Valerie Gray, and Star Storm. While the group in general weren't friends with everyone their grades in his class were like the past group decent.
'With Tucker and Star tied for second place and Valerie and Sam surprisingly tied for 3rd. If I had to guess Star and Tucker tutored Sam and Valerie respectively but at the same time if I had to guess that wretched Latina know it all before being sent to tutor that good for nothing waste of space tutored Star. Like with Mikey, I also pushed those four especially Sam, Tucker and Star harder so one of them could take the top spot but sadly at best those three only got B+ to A level grades while that know it all no matter what gets A+'s. But even with that at least with my actual pushing it is good news for my end of the school year bonus.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought to himself as these 4 students took their spots in the class.
Eventually literally just 1 minute before the bell rung the two students he hated the most walked into the classroom with Danny's arm still around Paulina's waist while Paulina still having her head in Danny's chest while snuggling him. Of course everyone in the class once again giving their reactions to this. Like always a certain blonde bucktoothed teen screamed 'NOOOOO why won't I wake up from this nightmare!' before running out the classroom in despair much to Mr. Potty-Mouth's annoyance. Everyone else who wasn't in the land of illusions had their same reactions as they did when they first learned of the couple. From wanting nothing more than to wail on Danny until Paulina dumped him for being a loser (Dash, Kwan, and Star) to believing that dreams can come true due to dating out of their league (Mikey, Lester, Nathan, and the nerds) to just wishing that Danny would wise up and leave Paulina due to him being to good for her as well as him being out of her dating league (Valerie and Sam).
"Ok you two unless you both want me to give you both F-'s for the final which would give you both summer school stop that disgusting display of affection and get in your seats now!" Mr. Potty-Mouth replied with authority earning the scorn of Paulina.
(4) "¿Estás listo para pasar esta prueba de perdedor y dejarlo con huevo en la cara?" Paulina asked not in the least caring that Mr. Potty-Mouth could understand everything she was saying.
(5) "Nací listo Paulina. Esta será la recompensa perfecta para todo lo que nos hizo pasar." Was Danny response earning a smile from his girlfriend and the shock of his peers due to not only understanding her, but responding in the same language.
Upon hearing Danny speak the language on a level that was shown by only his best students Some from being happy to see their best friend improve (Tucker) to some being happy he improved but wishing that it was anyone else but Paulina who made it happen (Valerie and Sam) to just outright being pissed with the development they saw. (Mr. Potty-Mouth)
"Ok everyone as you know today is the day of your final exam. This final will count for 40% of your final grade meaning if you fail it I will see you in summer school. Now for the sake of fairness and no cheating I want everyone to take out their cellphones, or any electronic device that can be used for looking up information into this container here. You can get your devices back after you are finished." Mr. Potty-Mouth replied causing the majority of the class to groan.
Complying with his command everyone took out their devices out and one by one placed them into the container Mr. Potty-Mouth had placed on his desk. When the last student placed all their devices into the container Mr. Potty-Mouth got up with a stack of tests.
"Ok class this final will put everything you learned up to now to the test. Once you are finished you may leave the class for the rest of the period once you handed in your test. Once I have given you your exams you may begin." Mr. Potty-Mouth explained just before handing out the tests. "Oh and just so no one gets the idea of trying to look at another person's paper I have gone through the liberty of making 10 different forms of the test according to how I had the class seated. That means that anyone with the same test won't be within cheating range so trying to do so will hurt you even without me punishing you."
As soon as everyone got their tests some were relieved while other were fuming. This was due to Mr. Potty-Mouth giving out some pure multiple choice finals, some multiple choice and short answer questions, pure short answer questions, or in Paulina and Danny's case the hardest form of the test he could find which in this case was an advance placement test with very hard questions that had no multiple choice on them.
'It figures Mr. Potty-Mouth would not only give me a test that has absolutely nothing to do with what he taught us, but he would have the gall to make the kind of test Paulina would get from him.' Danny thought as he read each question and surprisingly answered them with extreme accuracy. 'No matter because thanks to my girlfriend's tutoring this test is nothing now. If only I could see the look on his face when he grades it and sees that I not only passed but with a score that will rival my girlfriends.' Danny continued in his head as he finished the second page of the test.
Mr. Potty-Mouth after getting back to his seat watched as his students worked on their finals. Some had looks of frustration of their faces due to their tests, while others smiled and went through the test like it was nothing. While the looks of frustration were very much expected from some the one person he had hoped would be in that state was anything but. In fact not only was said student smiling but from what he could tell was going through the test like it was nothing.
'As much as I wish it were so he can't be cheating seeing as I made everyone give up their phones and electronic devices. Plus he doesn't have a book bag so there are no books for him to cheat with either. So unless he is purposely trying to sike me out which I am hoping is the case, that know it all actually did the impossible and actually improved his level of Spanish to the level she is on. I better check it out just to make sure.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought to himself as he got up and walked over to one of his two favorite targets.
However, upon reaching Danny, not only had the former opinion been proven false, but he still couldn't find anything to prove Danny was cheating either. In fact if he didn't know better he could have sworn that he was looking at Paulina working as he watched Danny work on the test.
'This is impossible! There is no way he should have gotten this far with only a few months of tutoring! I gave him and Paulina purposely the hardest tests I could come up with makes everyone else's pale in comparison and he is still passing it! Plus with nothing to show that he is cheating I can't flunk him that way either.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought only for Danny to get up 5 minutes later, place his test on the his tormentor's desk, then take his cellphone out of the pile.
No sooner did Danny do this did he and the rest of the class see Paulina also place her test on top of Danny's before walking off with Danny. As this was going on a lot of the students minus a handful had the same question going through their minds.
'How in the hell did Danny even with Paulina's tutoring manage to finish a test let alone the final one before everyone else? He was the absolute dead last in our class who was struggling harder than a swimmer with lead weights on their legs.'
Outside the classroom
"So how did the final go Danny? While Mr. Potty-Mouth gave me an advance placement test, it was nothing I haven't done before." Paulina replied while grabbing his arm and placing it back around her hourglass waist.
"When I looked at the test despite it being an advance placement exam as well, it was like going after the Box Ghost with my parent's entire arsenal of ghost weapons. In other words too easy. I already know I passed the final despite his obvious attempt to throw me off. But you want to know something Paulina? I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help. It was because of you taking your time to help me understand everything that I was able to make such a drastic change for the better in the language and for that I in your debt." Danny explained earning a mischievous grin from Paulina.
"Well of course you are, and you know how you can repay your debt?" Paulina asked never losing her smile.
"I could take you bowling at my favorite bowling alley. I have never seen you play before due to being overshadowed but…"
"I kind of stink at bowling Danny. My last game was against my 8 year old cousin a year and a half ago, and let's just say after I was done I was the laughing stock of the entire bowling alley gaining 10 gutter balls in a row." Paulina explained. "How about we go to the Karaoke bar that is a few blocks away from my home instead? I do have a couple of choice songs I would love to sing for you, and we could even do some duets as well."
Upon hearing the word Karaoke Danny couldn't help but cringe. While he wasn't as bad a singer as Tucker he knew he wasn't all that good either. Unlike a certain someone he new at best he was average at singing, and even then was made a laughing stock by the peers who saw him. But at the same time the thought of sing for him was something he that was almost enough for him to consider it.
"I am not the best singer in the world." Danny admitted. "While I am a world greater than Tucker…" Danny continued causing Paulina to wince at the thought of him singing. "I am still nowhere near as good as Sam when it comes to that." Danny explained.
'Sam can actually sing? Well that is something I didn't know about and to be honest couldn't care less about.' Paulina thought to herself. 'I swear Danny must have the patience of a saint because that girl if anything is truly the a piece of work, and the bane of my existence. Even before I used Danny to get revenge against her she didn't like me for whatever reason…' Paulina continued only for a frown to appear on her face at the thought of what she did to Danny.
"You know what Danny? We can just go bowling today and I will pay for how many games you want to play. Consider it my way of saying sorry for using you to get back at your irritating female best friend all those months ago." Paulina explained with remorse in her voice.
"If you want to say sorry to me, do it in the form of enjoying yourself at the Karaoke bar after we go bowling." Danny answered getting an astonishment look from Paulina. "You helped me getting fluent enough in Spanish so I could pass the obviously stacked against me test our teacher threw at me, and I an not the kind of guy who normally holds grudges especially against my awesome girlfriend. So let's leave the past where it belongs and enjoy ourselves now." Danny replied while slightly increasing the strength of his grip around her waist while enjoying her overall closeness to him.
Spanish class after the finals were handed in.
Mr. Potty-Mouth frowned as he graded his students tests. As he suspected most of the students there at best did borderline jobs with their finals meaning they gained mostly C's with a few C-'s and C+'s.
'Though I wish I could say the same for Dash and most of the other jocks. Most of them got D-'s with Kwan being the exception due to pulling out a B-. Meh but for the sake of them I will be generous and give them enough points to get their grades up to C's and change Kwan's grade to a B+.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought before going over his better pupil's scores.
'As expected Valerie got herself a B+, along with Sam, while Tucker and Star not surprisingly pulled out the only 2 A's in the class.' Mr. Potty-mouth thought before he went on to the final or rather the first two final's he received from Paulina and surprisingly Danny.
Going over the former's test it was no surprise that she like always scored the highest in the class which of course caused him to clench his fist.
'God damn it, for once I wish someone besides that waste of space know it all Paulina would get the highest score on a test! Just the look on her face when she was surpassed by someone would be enough to… Wait a minute her grade is bound to the dead last in my class so relax. Even if she score 125% due to getting every question right including the extra credit there is no way the dead last could have scored high enough to pass my personal standard set so relax.' Mr. Potty-Mouth thought as he took a look at Danny's final exam.
However, upon going over the test and grading it took everything in his power not to scream to the high heaven due to the result he saw.
"It can't be! This can't be happening! How is it that the dead last of my class managed to not only get a matching 125% score on a final that was just a hard as Paulina's but do it without cheating! There is no way that Latina miss know it all could have tutored him so well to the point where he actually passed that final..." Mr. Potty-Mouth started furious to see the one student he wanted to fail pass with such a score. "No matter because with all the absences those two got due to the 'studying' outside of my class when they weren't supposed to I can still fail them due to a lack of attendance. So you see dead last and Ms. Thinks she knows it all in Spanish, even when you succeed you still fail!" Mr. Potty-Mouth said smiling as he began putting in the final grades for his students.
Unknown to him his outburst caught the attention of a certain Japanese principal who was walking down the halls, and upon hearing his words frowned at what she was hearing. Not in the least liking this, Principal Ishiyama walked back to her office with one goal in mind. Terminating said teacher's employment as well as blackballing him for life.
Stage out
1) You are much better than my stuffed Danny Phantom toy to hold. Unlike my non-living toy, you are very nice to hold and I wish I did not have to let you go.
2) I can say the same for you Paulina... minus the Plushie thing of course.
3) But when it comes time for the test that he throws me, that is when I let my true skills shine. I can't wait to see him with the egg on his face when I eat whatever he throws at me.
4) Are you ready to pass this loser's test and leave him with egg on his face?
5) I was born ready Paulina. This will be the perfect payback for everything he put us through.
I severely apologize for the lack of update with this story. It was supposed to be updated months ago, but with my graduation from college, my new job, as well as writers block caused this story to be delayed big time. So until things change if I am going to update anything it will be on a weekend when I am free from work. Also if the translations or the actual phrases aren't correct I apologize once again seeing as Spanish isn't my native language. The next update (which will be hopefully much sooner) will have their dates and a lot more Danny/Paulina fluffiness in it. Any thoughts comments concerns? If so post them in a review or PM them to me.
