The moon shined brightly high in the sky. A small Fairy set upon a small rock along an edge. Her small white wings spread out behind her. She looked out at the world. She had alway wondered what it was like.
Were people nice? Did people run and play like her kind? And then she wonder something that she had wished she did not know about. She wondered if the light was shining. She wondered if the light had fallen into darkness. And she wondered if the darkness and evils of the world turn the small girl into a puppet. But she vanished those thoughts.
She should not be thinking of such things. If the light had turned into what it fought the world would have been plunged into darkness. She spread her white wings and flew down to the village that she lived in. It was bursting with magic.
Another Fairy walked up to her. "Crystal. I heard your thoughts again. Just know that the girl your mother had chosen is doing well. In fact she is thriving." The girl turned and looked at the male. He smiled at her. "What is her name father?" She asked. He shook his head.
"Lucy Heartfilia."
Lucy sighed as she wiped sweat from her forehead. Why did it have to be so hot today? Looking over at Gray she saw the new girl, Juvia was it? Holding out food for him. She smiled. It was so sweet!
Then the blue haired girl threw herself at Grays feet confessing her love for him. "Juvia loves you Gray-sama!" Ah... Lucy slowly backed away from the pair. She bumped into something very hard.
Turning around she was face with her redhead friend. "Hi." She squeaked out. Erza smiled at her. "Hello Lucy." She then smashed Lucy's' head to her breast plate. Lucy felt everything in her brain shake.
When the armored woman let her go she staggered slightly. Erza then turned to where Lucy had come from and smiled as she saw Gray and Juvia.
"It seems Gray might have a love life after all." She hummed. The redhead turned and patted Lucy on the back.
Natsu walked past the two girls carrying two large planks. He smiled at Lucy then waved at them. Not a second later did both pieces of wood fall to the ground dragging him along.
Lucy laughed as she watched Natsu push the wood off of himself. "Oi! Why are you laughing?" Lucy stopped and smiled at him. She was beyond happy. She had finally let go of everything in her past and just focused on her future.
Patting Lucy on the back Erza walked off to find the Master.
Natsu picked up the two planks of wood again and start to walk off. Lucy followed him over to where Gray and Juvia where.
Juvia seeing Lucy let go of Gray and pointed at Lucy. "Love Rival! Juvia will not let you win the heart of Gray-sama!" The blue haired water mage yelled. Lucy and Gray sweat dropped.
Holding up her hand in surrender Lucy slowly started to back away again. "Ah, No need to worry about that. Gray and I are just friends." Juvia not believing her scoffed.
"Juvia will be watching you, Love Rival!" She then turned her body into water and moved to hide behind a clump of building materials.
The three just stared at the still very visible Juvia. Turning away Lucy looked at the two boys.
"Ooookay..." Lucy looked at Gray and smiled as she remembered what Erza had said earlier.
"What was that about?" Natsu asked. Gray and Lucy had to keep themselves from falling down in annoyance.
Suddenly Lisanna ran up to Lucy. Grabbing onto the blonds arm the white haired girl smiles. "Lucy! Come with me! Mira-nee and Erza talked with Master and he gave Erza, Mira-nee Levy You and Me the day of to go house shopping for you! Come on!"
Lisanna pulled Lucy with her over the the other waitting girls. Lucy waved goodbye to Natsu and Gray before running along with Lisanna.
"What about this one?" Mirajane asked. Erza shook her head no, Levy smiled slightly and Lisanna just sighed out. Lucy felt like fainting.
"Um. It's... Uh..." Lucy looked over to Levy for help. The two girls met and were best friends from the start. They had shared their love for reading and discussed for hours on their first meeting.
Levy glanced around the very big apartment. It had four bedrooms two bathrooms a kitchen and living room and to top it all off it had one dinning room. "Maybe something smaller? And..." She looked down at the little brochure that the lady had given them when they first asked about the... House... Levy's eyes widened. She all but screeched. "CHEAPER!"
And then the bluenette pulled Lucy and Lisanna out of the 'apartment' and stared at the outside of it. She handed Lucy the brochure. Lucy looked it over and Lisanna peaked over Lucy's shoulder looking at it.
When Lucy saw how much it would be to rent it for a mouth she all but fainted. Not seeing the price Lisanna picked it up and looked over it.
'150,000 thousands jewels.' Lisanna ran back in and pulled her sister out of the place. Erza followed and then stared down at the heavy breathing Levy and almost past out Lucy.
She then read the price and shrugged...
"This one?" Levy asked. Mira shook her head no, Lisanna nodded, and Erza just sighed.
"Um..." Lucy looked around the apartment. It was small. One bathroom, one bedroom that connected with the living room and no kitchin.
"Too small." Mira stated. Levy looked around and pouted slightly. But then nodded her head.
"Next."
"Eh? Eh!?" Lisanna smiled. All of the girls shook their heads.
Mira walked up to her younger sister. "I'll take you pet shopping tomorrow."
And with that they left the pet shop. The owner looked very confused. What just happened?
"This is a wonde-" Erza started but was rudely cut off by Mirajane. "No."
"And why not?!" The red head snapped. Mira pointed to the only window of the apartment. "No view. All you see is the back of a building."
Erza glared at her. Just before they started a fight Lisanna grabbed her sister and Lucy gave Erza a piece of cake that the blond pulled out of nowhere.
And with that they left.
Lucy sighed as she banged her head on the plastic table that the girls were sitting at. The table shook slightly and the girls held up their drinks to keep them from spilling. Lucy was so tired. She looked down at her keys and smiled.
"Virgo! Aries!" The two keys glowed. With a jump in the air and a puff of pink clouds said girls appeared.
Virgo bowed and Aries pulled up a seat and set next to Lucy. The other girls smiled and started introducing themselves. Virgo stood up and presented a piece of paper to Lucy.
"I found this on a few tables away. I thought you might want to have a look at it." Lucy smiled as she took a look at. It was a advertisement for an apartment.
Virgo then turned to the girls with a smile. "Hello Lucy's friends."
Aries blushed as the girls cooed over her pink hair. Levy and Lisanna started asking her about herself. Mirajane and Erza turned to Virgo. "Hello. I'm Mirajane Strauss and this is just some wanna be."
The white haired girl smiled sweetly. Virgo smirked as she watched the two girls start to argue. "I see. I am Virgo. Is it punishment time?"
That caused all of the girls to stop whatever they were doing and look at the pink haired maiden with wide eyes.
"NO!" Lucy screeched. She started waving her hands in a stop motion. Her cheeks were bright red and her eyes were wide. Virgo laughed at Lucy. She was so fun to tease.
"I see. Maybe some other time then. I will be going." And with that the perverted maid left. Lucy banged her head on the table as she hid her face in embarrassment. Aries patted her on the back.
"It's okay Lulu. Let go check out that apartment." Aries smiled. Lucy nodded. She stood up and sighed. Mirajane smiled at her. She put down some money for their drinks and the girls walked out.
"I liked her." Mira and Erza commented.
Mirajane knocked on the door of a large apartment building. "Hello?" She called out.
A small woman opened the door she had dark purple hair and her clothes were far too revealing for her age. She looked the girls up and down. "What is it?"
Mirajane smiled sweetly at the woman. "My friend is here to look at the apartment." The older woman nodded. She then motioned for them to follow her.
They walked up a flight of stairs and then stopped at a door. Taking out some keys the woman unlocked the door. She pushed the door open and stood back. "Have a look."
Mira walked in first and smiled. It wasn't as small as the one Levy had picked out. Levy walked in and sighed as she looked around. It wasn't as big as Mirajane had picked out.
Erza walked in and nodded in satisfaction. The window had a nice view. Lisanna liked the feel of it. It was homey. All girls turned to Lucy to see what she thought of it.
Lucy smiled brightly. It was perfect! She turned to Aries. The pink haired girl smiled and nodded to the other. All the girls turned to the landlady.
"How much is it?" Levy asked. She was scared of the answer. What if it was to much? Oh no! And Lu-chan like it!
"70,000 thousand jewels."
That wasn't that much... Right? RIGHT!? Lucy's smile slip off her face. She didn't have that much. In fact she didn't have any money at all! Her eyes widened at the thought. She really didn't have any money.
Mirajane caught this little fact earlier on. She was going to give Lucy a gift that would be better than Scarlets. So she smiled at the landlady.
"She'll take it. When is the first payment?" The landlady nodded. "The day she moves in. In full." Mirajane nodded. Smiling broadly she pulled out her purse and looked through it. She pulled out the money and handed it to her.
"This should cover the first payment and the insurance." The woman smiled. She then handed the whitehair barmaid the key to the apartment. The woman then left leaving the girls alone.
Levy, Lisanna and Lucy stared wide eyed and jaw dropped at Mirajane. Erza glared at her. Was she trying to out due her?
Lucy snapped out of it first. "Mira! I can't let you do that! I'll find a way to pay for it my self. It's fine." Mira shook her head. "It's fine Lucy. Let's just call it a welcome to Fairy Tail gift. Okay? You can pay for the next month and after that."
Lucy ran up to the older girl and hugged her. "Thank you!" Aries smiled at her little sisters friends. They were all so kind.
Suddenly Virgo appeared with a broom, dustpan and other cleaning supplies. Levy took the broom and started sweeping the apartment.
"I call dusting!" Lisanna called out. Virgo handed her the duster. Erza then took a cloth and wood cleaner and started cleaning the walls. Lucy grabbed another broom and started sweeping with Levy.
Virgo started cleaning the bathroom. Aries and Mirajane decided that it would be their jobs to clean the kitchen.
Lucy started to hum a tune her mother played on the piano once. She loved the tune. She just could never forget it.
"Crying just because I'm happy." Lucy started to sing.
Little Lucy Heartfilia smiled up at Loke as he danced with her. Aries and Capricorn were watching the two play. Aries just finished making sandwiches. She called the two over to eat. Lucy ran over with a huge smile on her face. Tear welled up in her eyes and slid down her little face.
Aries frowned and bent down and picked the girl up. "What's wrong Lulu?" The little girl smiled. "Nothing! I'm just so happy!"
"Crying because I'm sad."
Lucy stared at her mother's coffin and watched as the men buried her mother. She burst into tears. And ran off into her room.
She refused to come out.
"That's right, Living honestly like this being my self."
Lucy was looked up at the blue sky. It was her tenth birthday and she was so happy. She had ran away and she was living her life how her mother wanted. She was being herself and she was happy.
"The blue sky and sea. As if embracing everything. Whispering it into the wind. 'You're fine just the way you are' you said,"
Layla smiled at her daughter as she Lucy looked up at her with worried eyes. Gently patting her head Layla hugged Lucy. The bright blue sky shined in Lucy's hair.
"You're fine just the way you are." Layla whispered. The wind blew lightly thru the two blonds hair. Lucy smiled at her mother. She didn't need to change for her father like he had said. All she need to be was herself. Smiling brightly Lucy hugged her mother tighter.
"Stay the way you are, embrace your own happiness. Walking forward, when the sky changes color it echoes the sound of my trembling heart. This is what you gave me."
Looking around Lucy saw the smiling faces of her friends. Her eyes watered as she realized that this is what her mother gave her. By letting go she was able to overcome what held her back.
She was able to make friends. She smiled brightly at all of them. She then noticed that all the cleaning was done.
Virgo smiled brightly at Lucy she had become part of the family when Lucy had found her key at the age of thirteen. Going back to the Celestial World she grabbed Lucy's things that the blond had her store.
She then reappeared with Lucy's things. Everything was in boxes so all of the girls helped the blond mage unpack.
Once everything was unpacked they started to arrange furniture that Mira had gone and brought over from her house. It was everything that she had bought the blond girl. And with the help of Erza's cart she had moved it all over here.
After the long and tiring day they all plopped down on the couch and chairs. Lucy leaned back and sighed she was so tired. Virgo and Aries had gone back to the spirit world after helping with the furniture.
Lucy sighed as she looked around the room. All of the girls looked tired. She knew she was hungry. She also took a guess that the other girls were too. For one she knew she didn't have any food in the house. So how was she going to feed her guest?
Her keys shined and then with a puff of smoke Loke appeared. He smiled at Lucy. Holding up two bags full of something that made all of their stomach grumble.
Food. Lucy jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you!" She exclaimed. "Welcome princess. I'll be leaving you lovely ladies now." He smiled. Lucy let go of him and scratched behind his cat ears.
"Bye Kitty!" She giggled out as she left. Turning to face the girls she scream out, "Brother! My brother! Get your heads straight!"
The girls just laughed at her. Then they attacked the food.
Lucy buried herself in the covers of her bed. It was soooo soft. Everything was just wonderful. She smiled as she looked out her window. The moon was shining brightly in the dark sky.
The girls had already left and it was about ten at night. She had taken a shower and cleaned up what was left of the food. She made a note to go on a job to get money.
Falling into a deep sleep she didn't notice that three shadows entered her apartment. One coming in through the chimney and two from her window.
One of the shadows was small and flew down and landed next to Lucy. It quickly went to sleep next to her. Blue fur chined in the moonlight.
The other two shadows had this fighting type aura around them.
"What are you doing here Stripper?!" One of them whisper yelled. The other looked like it was glaring at the whispering male.
"I came here to check out Lucy's apartment! What are you doing here Flame Brain?!"
Natsu glared at Gray. He was here to do the same thing. From what her could tell so far he like it. "None of you buincess! Get out!" Gray pushed Natsu.
"No you get out!" Gray whisper yelled. Natsu then punched Gray in the face. Gray for one knew not to wake a sleeping female. It was like waking up a demon. He had learned that the hard way. Who knew Levy was a hitter?
"Fine!" And with that Gray climbed out the chimney. Natsu looked around the place and got the basic lay out. He was to tired to go all the way back to his house so he climbed into the bed with Lucy.
"I'm sure Luigi won't mind." He mumbled before falling to sleep. Happy snuggled between them and fell into a peaceful sleep.
Little did they know that in the morning that they would awake to the devil herself. And she would be more than happy to show them how many ways she could kill them.
