Author's notes - hey guys! I'm trying to update my stories once every week, but I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to do that. Between school and track and everything in between, I don't have a lot of time to write. Anyways, here's the next chapter. I would apologize for the cliff hanger, but hey, what's a story without a good cliff hanger? ((Or maybe five...))

...

Beast Boy couldn't believe his eyes. Robin, level headed Robin, had attacked all these people. Their friends. And not hours before, Robin had been completely unconscious and was showing no signs of waking up soon.

But he had just slapped Raven across the face.

And being in the weakened state she was in, Raven fell into the floor. Beast Boy acted before he even realized it.

He charged at the Boy Wonder, arm cocked back to deliver a heavy blow to his leader. Robin, being highly trained in hand to hand combat, blocked the blow and delivered a kick to the younger boy's abdomen, sending him crashing into a heap on the floor.

"Robin, stop!" The changeling heard Wally shout. He tried to roll onto his back and get oxygen back into his lungs, but he just couldn't. Moments later, another body was on the ground beside him.

"Raven, get away from him!" Speedy's voice called out, and Beast Boy heard Raven grunt.

"Speedy, put me down." She demanded and the changeling heard another grunt, though he could tell this one was distinctly male.

"Raven!" Speedy called out again.

Robin let out another strangled cry, and there was another sickening sound of skin on skin. Raven let out a small cry of pain, and Beast Boy launched into a sitting position.

Raven stood with her palms facing Robin, the familiar black energy wrapped around his torso, effectively trapping his arms to his sides. He struggled, screaming and desperately trying to break free of the sorceress's hold on him.

Suddenly, Robin stopped struggling, his eyes widening as he stared at Raven. Slowly his eyes searched the room before landing back on Raven. "What have I done?" His voice was barely audible.

Raven released her hold on Robin and he stumbled backwards, sitting on the hospital bed where he had been upon his arrival to the tower. He cradled his head in his hands, fingers gripping his hair as if he were going to rip it out of his head.

"It's okay, Robin." Raven comforted, her hands gripping his wrists and gently pulling them away from his hair.

"I..." He trailed off, raising his eyes to meet Raven's. "I had this dream that-" He stopped, his widening slightly. "Where's..." He scanned the room once again. "Where's Starfire?"

The tension in the room sky rocketed, everyone staying quiet.

"She saved you." Raven said softly.

"No." Robin shook his head. "No, no that can't be right. She's not..."

"Robin." Raven said, drawing his attention. "You know the answer to that."

Robin's hands clenched tightly, his eyes squeezed shut and his head faced away from everyone. A small sob echoed in the room, everyone's focus was on Robin.

Suddenly, Robin pulled Raven against him, his arms wrapping tightly around her stomach, his head resting on her chest. Raven seemed startled at first, but she relaxed, her hand tangling in the leader's hair. Robin's sobs filled the room, leaving everyone silent and motionless.

Bee was first to react, wrapping her arm around Jericho and lifting him out of the chair. Speedy came to her aid, taking the blond's other side and helping him from the room. Wally climbed to his feet, offering Beast Boy a hand.

The changeling took his hand and pulled himself to his feet. Wally gave him a concerned look before patting his shoulder and exiting the room. Robin's sobs were muffled a little more, but he still clung onto Raven like his life depended on it.

Beast Boy's heart ached for Robin as he watched him sob over the loss of his girlfriend. Sure, Beast Boy was saddened greatly by the loss Star, but Robin would suffer that loss differently than any of them.

They didn't love her like he did.

Robin was in love with Starfire. He couldn't wait for his future with her, he enjoyed spending every waking moment with her. But, she had been ripped away from him, and that would damage him more than anyone could ever imagine.

Beast Boy didn't think Robin would ever be capable of loving someone as much as he loved Starfire.

"I got him, Gar." Raven said, drawing his attention. "I'll be out there in a minute."

The changeling nodded before patting his friend's shoulder and pressing his lips to Raven's temple, giving the duo one last look before exiting the room.

He walked down the hall into the commons room, where he saw his friends in their beaten and bloodied state. Jericho was stretched out on the couch, Speedy sat on the coffee table while Aqualad cleaned up his nose, Wally was stuffing potato chips in his mouth, and Bee was running around with a first aid kit in her hands.

"Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah, just peachy." Speedy winced when Aqualad pinched his arm.

"What was up with him?" Wally asked with a mouth full of chips.

"I don't know." Beast Boy replied, plopping down on the arm of the couch near Jericho's head. "I guess he woke up and just flipped out."

"Even when he's flipping shit he can still deal some pretty serious damage." Speedy punched Aqualad square in the chest. "Don't do that!"

Aqualad, who had landed ungracefully on his backside, rubbed his chest and chuckled. "I wanted to make sure it was actually broken."

"Hold still." Bee commanded and carefully put a bandage across Speedy's nose. "Now go put some ice on that and don't do anything stupid. Got it?"

"Yes ma'am." He grumbled and got to his feet, heading to the freezer.

Bee raised her eyes to meet Beast Boy's. "How's Raven? I heard she got smacked a couple a times."

"She's fine, she's still in there with him. He's not taking things well."

"I didn't imagine he would." Bee shook her head. "I still can't believe this all isn't a dream."

"No kiddin'." Beast Boy ran a hand down his face.

"We were getting ready to go get some dinner from town when I heard Speedy yell. I ran in there and Wally came shortly after. He was going crazy! He knocked Jericho out, knocked me to the ground, broke Speedy's nose."

"Yeah, things seemed pretty crazy. I almost knocked Robin out when he hit Raven."

"Yeah, if you hadn't have been knocked on your ass!" Speedy said before bursting into laughter. "Ow!" Speedy dropped the bag of frozen peas when Aqualad punched his arm.

Bee just rolled her eyes and looked at Beast Boy. "Pizza good for dinner? I promise, Garth and I will make spaghetti or something tomorrow."

"Pizza is fine, Bee." He smiled at her. "Pizza was an everyday dinner for us. We had victory pizza, celebratory pizza, birthday pizza, basically any time we wanted pizza, we came up with some lame excuse for pizza."

"There are no lame excuses for pizza, Gar." Raven's voice drew his attention. She approached him slowly, as if she still felt weak. He nearly ran to her, taking her face in his hands. She winced when his palm pushed on a tender spot on her jaw, but he didn't move his hands.

She had a bruise on her jaw and cheek, already turning purple.

Beast Boy hadn't realized he was growling until Raven touched his cheek. "It's okay, Gar."

"We'll get Jinx or Argent to heal it later." He kissed her forehead before pulling her to his side, his arm wrapped protectively around her.

"So, pizza for dinner?" Bee asked, glancing about the room.

"Pizza for dinner." Speedy nodded.

"What's the occasion for it this time?" Wally asked, suddenly next to Bee, his arm thrown carelessly around her shoulders.

"Remembrance." Raven spoke up. "In remembrance of Starfire and Cyborg."

"In remembrance." Beast Boy agreed, hugging Raven tighter against his side.

Beast Boy took in that moment, and despite everything, to him, everything felt alright for once.
