Luckily for Kagome, she got to ride to the church with her mother and sister. She was glad because she was not ready to face him again just yet.
Sesshomaru was there waiting with his father when the limo drove up. Her mother got out and bowed, then Kikyo, and then Kagome. InuPapa escorted mother and eldest daughter to the waiting room, while Sesshomaru met Kagome at the limo door and offered his arm.
Suddenly her still resolved vanished and she meekly took his arm. They sat down, and Kagome looked around. The church was massive. It was massively decorated, it was, well, insane. It was funny how different they were. Even so she was a little impressed.
"I do not like churches." He stated.
"Well, you're demonic, so." She said it before she realized what she was saying, and she didn't dare look at him.
"There is the blushing bride!" Kagome backed up in her seat and her back touched Sesshomaru's arm. "Kouga!"
"Sorry I missed out on your wedding, I heard you were quite beautiful."
Kagome blushed and laughed uneasily.
"Oh, and you were there too, right?"
"I am her husband, wolf." He hated this guy so much. Kagome could feel his aura flaring in warning.
"Church remember." She whispered. "Sisters' wedding, if you get blood on anything, she will kill you."
Kouga laughed at the pair. "Anyway, I'll see you later Ka-go-me." Then he darted to his seat where he snickered with his guy pal. "Infuriating wolf, I should have killed him years ago."
"Well ya can't kill him today, so stop with the evil cloud." She sat back in her seat and placed her hands in her lap. Sesshomaru looked down at her hands, she had wrapped the finger, but he could still see a little blood on the white cloth. He had hurt his wife. Hell, she wasn't even his wife a full day and he hurt her. He had never failed at anything in his life, but on this, he may have; though he was unsure if he would admit it.
"Is your sister nervous?"
Kagome snorted, "No."
"You and she are unalike."
"Like night and day," Kagome said.
Sesshomaru wondered what that made them?
"She's not shy," Kagome stated "About anything."
He smirked.
She eyed him, so he thought that was funny? She stuck her nose up. "She told me I should kiss you."
His smirk went away, he knew that her sister knew that Kagome was still pure.
"And?"
"My ear hurts." She pouted rubbing on the lobe, effectively cutting him off cold. He didn't have time to reply because everyone was in place and Kikyo was headed down the aisle.
"Oh my God, they're so going to do a who wore it better, just kill me now."
Kikyo wore the dress better. Of course, she did stand taller and her shoulders back; Kagome, not so much.
Sesshomaru eyed her hands again, she was keeping to herself. He could tell she was in a daydream, as if her own wedding had not just happened. She had that look in her eyes like all single women had when they went to a wedding.
Sesshomaru grabbed her hand, and her lips parted. She didn't dare look, she felt him take off the wrap she had on her finger and the next thing she knew, her knuckle was in his mouth. She could feel her face heating up and she crossed her legs without thinking. When he didn't stop, she looked at him.
He was glaring at her, his gold eyes waiting for something. She slowly blinked, confused and warm? He slowly took her hand out of his mouth and then he didn't give it back. She turned back to the wedding, but all she could focus on was her hand being held by his. He was warm, and his hands were soft. He had long fingers and his hand was strong, hers was so delicate within his. She wondered for a moment if this was his way of saying sorry.
"You may kiss your wife." She heard the monk say. She watched as Inuyasha kissed Kikyo in a full-blown tongue to tongue kiss. Cheers erupted as the couple came down the aisle, Kikyo winked at her and Sesshomaru smirked. "I do believe that was your cue, Miko."
Kagome looked at him "Cue?"
"Kagome, hurry dear you have to change." Her mother rushed up to her, crushing his moment. Why did everyone have to keep doing that? It was hard enough without their help.
Kagome stood, and he followed. "Right." She looked back at him, people were rushing out of the church. He was still holding her hand. "I have to go change."
She turned, and he let her hand slip, but once they were out of the aisle before she could slip away, he grabbed it again. "Sesshomaru?" He stared at her a moment, but he let her hand fall; the moment, again, was gone.
