Summer's POV

I flicked my hair around, while looking in the mirror. I had one final look in the mirror and then turned the doornob to get put of the bathroom. As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom Andrew lifted his head up and looked at me. He kept on smiling at me, I walked over to my bed and waved my hand in Andrew's face and he got up to go to the bathroom. I could hear someone at the door talking to Tash, I walked out not realizing it was a guy. Sam Appleby looked at me and said
"Lookin good Summer!" I almost said I liked Andrew but I bit down on my tongue hard so I didn't give it away.
"Oh, thanks, Sam" I said awkwardly. "You know I don't have the same feelings, right?" I said, trying to clear the air.
"Well, I'm going now Andrew" Tash yelled out to Andrew. "Bye babe!" She yelled out again after she heard no response. I laughed in my head. Awkward for you Tash! I said in my head.
"Yeah, ok, bye. What about Summer, aren't you going to say bye to her?" Andrew yelled back.
"Bye nerdface" Tash said nastily. I wanted to go over and slap her. Doing that probably wasn't the best idea for her so called relationship with Andrew I thought. I turned around with tears filling my eyes. I couldn't let Tash see me cry. I stormed off the the room where Andrew was. I walked in and flung myself face down onto the bed. I was fighting back the tears, but they faught back ten times harder. I felt the bed spring down as Andrew came and sat next to me. He brushed the hair put of my face and looked at me.
"Andrew, Tash is so nasty" I mumbled, in the middle of crying.
"I know, I never knew Tash was so mean." Andrew replied, trying to calm me down. Andrew put his arms around me and lifted me up, then put my feet on the ground. "Tash doesn't deserve your hears" Andrew said, smiling. I knew this, so I said the rest of it.
"But you do, Andrew." I said, then smiled bravely.
"And that's why I won't make you cry." Andrew replied. He linked his fingers in mine and we walked to the cafeteria where we were meant to meet for surfing. We walked through the doors and the instructor was in the middle of explaining what to do. We sat down quickly next to the door. As soon as the instructor said 'now you can get you boards' Andrew stood up and tugged my arm to follow him. He walked over to many piles of surf boards and stood them up. We walked to about 5 different piles when Andrew said
"Sum, come I need to measure you!" I went over and stood next to the board he held up. "Looks like it fits" he said holding on to the board. He walked over to the second biggest pile of boards. "Sum, can you hold this up beside me please" He said pointing at the board he wanted. I nodded and power walked over to it. I held the board up against him and he nodded. "Right, thanks babe, I'll hold your board as well ok" He said while smiling. That was the first time I had been called babe by Andrew. I smiled back to Andrew. He poked me on my waist and I jumped. Andrew was laughing. We walked up the track to the beach. He pulled out a small lolly and placed it in my hand. I opened my hand back up and it was some kind of hard lollipop kind of sweet.
"Look at the center of it" Andrew said, then winked. It was shaped as a heart and it had 'I love you Sum' inside the heart. It was one of those things you bought at a shop in the city, and you got them custom made.
"Wow, Andrew! When did to get these done?" I said while looking at the lolly.
"A while ago, I just never had the nerves to give them to you" Andrew said, looking at the ground and shuffling his feet in the sand.
"Race to get to the water first!" I said already jogging. "On your marks, GO!" I yelled. One of the best things about being with Andrew was that we both were actually in love with the other, so we didn't judge eachother on what we say or do. I could be really me, while he could be completely himself. I sprinted ahead and got to the water first. There was a reason for that race. I needed to kiss him, but people couldn't see that. He came up behind me. I heard the boards clang together on the sand and he cupped my face and kissed me. It was like we were kissing for the last time ever. The feeling was better than anything else I had experienced in my life. I saw his eyes widen, and he pulled away quickly.
"Sum, look, quick" he said looking at the hill we came from. People were coming. Andrew quickly pulled my up and we ben down to get our boards. Those people had better not have seen us just then! I thought.
