I am so sorry that I haven't updated this story for so long! I'm trying so hard not to become one those writers who just suddenly act as if they disappeared from the face of the planet. Anyways, here is the new chapter!

Shower Shenanigans

Pink streamers, pink table cloths, pink garlands, pink swirling hanging decorations, and a big banner that read 'It's a girl!' were all carefully and decoratively placed inside the banquet hall of the Edenian Palace. Servants were running around left and right, trying to insure that the future festivities to take place in this very room would go out perfect. Princess Kitana sat on a chair as she and her mother watched the servants bustling about.

"Oh, I am so excited! A baby girl, how wonderful!" Sindel clasped her hands together and had a wide smile upon her face.

"Yes, it is, Mother," Kitana commented on her mother's remark.

"Tell me, Kitana, how did Scorpion react to the news of you bearing a daughter for him?" Sindel asked.

"Well, Mother," Kitana started and rubbed her belly as she did so. "Scorpion was very surprised when I told him, and I place much emphasis on surprised."

"Was he upset?" Sindel asked.

Kitana shook her head. "No, he wasn't. Just…surprised."

Sindel looked at her daughter and down to her somewhat round belly. "Then, how did he react?"

Kitana bit the inside of her cheek and thought carefully before replying. "He was just surprised at the prospect of having a girl. I'm certain he was hoping for another son."

"Another?" Sindel's brows were raised.

"Oh, I don't think I mentioned this before, but before Scorpion became a hell-spawn, he had a wife and son," Kitana explained.

"Ah." Sindel nodded her head.

Kitana and Sindel continued to watch the servants tend to their duties until the doors to the room opened and Ashrah walked in, carrying Raonko in her arms and her trademark hat absent.

"Ashrah! So glad you could make it." Kitana stood up from her seat and walked over to the white garbed woman, followed by her mother.

"Hello, Kitana, Sindel. I hope you do not mind that I brought Raonko with me. Raiden is somewhere else in Edenia but will arrive here later," Ashrah told them and bent down to let Raonko go and stand on his own.

"Oh, it won't be any trouble at all," Sindel assured her.

"Yes, none," Kitana added.

The three women began walking around the room with Raonko at Ashrah's side.

"So, where is Scorpion?" Ashrah asked as she looked at the pink streamers that were hung on the wall.

"Oh, he did not want to help. He said he wanted to be on his own for the time being," Kitana replied.

"Be alone? Why?" Ashrah inquired.

Kitana shrugged and rubber her belly. As the four continued walking, Raonko had stopped and pointed up at a pink streamer. "No!"

The three older women looked down to see Raonko pointing at the pink streamer and pouting.

"What's wrong, Raonko?" Ashrah asked her son.

"No!" Raonko repeated and still pointed to the pink streamer.

"No? What do you mean by no?" Ashrah knelt down to her son.

"No!" Raonko said again.

"Perhaps he doesn't like the pink streamer. Or perhaps the color pink itself," Sindel suggested.

Raonko nodded his head, as if he knew what Sindel had just explained.

"Really?" Ashrah looked at Sindel and then back to Raonko. "You don't like the color pink?"

Raonko nodded.

"Oh my." Kitana smiled and gave a light chuckle.

"Why don't you like the color pink, Raonko?" Ashrah asked.

Raonko shook his head. "Blue!" he said.

"Blue? You like the color blue?" Ashrah asked.

"Blue!" Raonko nodded.

"But, Raonko, blue is not an appropriate color for—"

"Blue!" Raonko shouted and shot a lightning bolt at the pink streamer, turning it into ash.

The three women were surprised at what had just happened. Even the servants had stopped their work to see what had just occurred.

"Raonko! That was not nice!" Ashrah scolded at him and picked him up. She stood and turned to face Kitana and Sindel. "I am truly sorry about this. Raonko has never done something like this before."

"Oh, don't worry about it, dear. We have plenty of pink streamers to replace that one." Sindel pointed to the spot where the pink streamer once hung.

Raonko squirmed in his mother's arms and shot another lightning bolt at another pink streamer.

"Raonko! Stop that!" Ashrah yelled at her son. But Raonko didn't listen, and so, shot a few more bolts of lightning at more streamers.

"Oh my! Ashrah, control your child!" Sindel urged as she moved to step in front of Kitana, so as to protect her should she be accidentally struck by lightning.

"I am so sorry, your highness. Raonko, enough!" Ashrah grabbed the arm Raonko used to shoot lightning out of and firmly held it down. "No more, Raonko."

Raonko looked at his mother and began to giggle. Sindel and Kitana breathed a sigh of relief when Raonko stopped shooting lightning bolts from his tiny hands. A male servant approached the three women, followed by a few more servants who carried ladders and pink streamers.

"My queen, Princess, are you and your guest alright?" the male servant asked.

Sindel nodded. "Yes, we are. Thank you."

"Excuse me," Ashrah addressed to the male servant. "Do you mind taking my son over there at that table and watching him? I feel terrible about this and feel like I should be putting up those new pink streamers."

"Oh, Ashrah, that is not necessary," Kitana told her.

Ashrah shook her head. "But I must. After all, I did promise to help with your baby shower. Ashrah handed her son over to the male servant and walked towards the other servants who were cleaning up Raonko's little mess.

"There you go little one," the male servant said as he placed Raonko on a chair at a nearby table. "I know you didn't mean to cause such a little mess."

Raonko looked at the man and began giggling again. The male servant smiled, only to have that smile disappear when he saw that Raonko's hands were glowing blue.

"Maybe we can hide the scorch marks with more pink streamers," Ashrah suggested to the servants who were aiding her.

"Aah!"

Everyone turned their attention to the scream and they were all shocked to see Raonko electrocuting the male servant. Ashrah was the most shocked out of everyone.

"Raonko! NO!" Ashrah shouted as she stepped off the ladder she was on and ran towards her son. Raonko stopped electrocuting the man and began to giggle and clap his hands. Ashrah approached her son and picked him up from the chair. Sindel, Kitana, and the servants followed after her.

"By the Elder Gods, is he…dead?" Kitana asked.

Sindel got on her knees and placed her ear on the servant's chest. "No, thank goodness. He's probably just unconscious." Sindel stood up and two servants lifted up and carried the male servant out of the room.

"Sindel, I am so sorry about this," Ashrah apologized. "I should have never brought Raonko with me."

"Ashrah, it's okay," Sindel assured her. "Your son is still young and exploring his powers. But it would wise that you and Raiden watch him more closely."

Ashrah nodded and looked at her son. Raonko's attention was focused on the pink table cloth. "Blue!" he shouted. Instead of firing a bolt of lightning, Raonko fired a ball of white light at the table, shattering it into pieces.

"What in the…" Kitana said.

"Sindel…I believe I should go," Ashrah said and began to make her way to the door.

"No, Ashrah, don't go." Sindel followed her and placed a hand on Ashrah's shoulder.

"But look at what Raonko has done. He has destroyed some of your streamers, electrocuted one of your servants, and he just destroyed a table." Ashrah pointed to the remains of the table.

"Yes, he has, but I'm willing to overlook it. Now, why don't we get to work and help finish with the decorating?" Sindel suggested. Ashrah was quiet for a moment and looked at her son, who was giving her a tiny smile.

"Okay." Ashrah was uncertain, a single drop of sweat sliding down the side of her head and brows scrunched together.

"Now, let's get everything fixed up and ready for my daughter's baby shower," Sindel announced to everyone in the room. "You two." Sindel pointed at a male and female servant.

"Yes your highness?" the female servant asked.

"Watch over the child. Keep him calm. Perhaps that will prevent him from destroying anything else," Sindel instructed to the two. Ashrah handed her son over to the female servant, kissed him on the forehead, and made her way to Kitana.

"Yes your highness." Both servants bowed and walked away with Raonko.

Raonko looked at the woman who was carrying him and began to giggle.

"My, you are a cute one aren't you?" the female servant commented.

Raonko giggled louder and his hands began glowing white.

"Oh my, what's going on?" the male servant asked.

"I don't—ah!" the female screamed as she was blasted with an orb of white light and pushed back into a table. She dropped Raonko but the male servant managed to catch him before he hit the floor.

"Oh no, what now?" Ashrah asked and shook her head. She was growing tired of this.

"Your son shot her with something," the male servant replied and tried to keep a stable grip on the child. Raonko wriggled about in the man's arms and surrounded himself in electricity, shocking the servant in the process.

"Raonko, stop!" Ashrah finally lost it and she ran towards the servant. Raonko giggled and teleported out of the man's arms and reappeared standing on the ground. The male servant collapsed onto his knees, several other servants appearing to tend to him and the female servant.

Raonko giggled even louder and began to shoot more orbs of white light in the room. Tables and chairs were shattered, the walls were cracked, and decorations were ruined. Sindel and Kitana took cover underneath an unharmed table, the servants fled the room with the male and female servants who were injured, and Ashrah did her best to avoid her son's barrage of orbs.

"Mother, are you sure we should be hiding under a table?" Kitana asked.

"Well, it's better than being out there," Sindel replied. "Plus, you need to be kept safe. You are with child after all."

Kitana peeked out from underneath the table to see Ashrah rolling around and cart wheeling to avoid her son's attacks. "Poor Ashrah," Kitana remarked.

"Yes. But if you notice closely, Ashrah looks very surprised at her son's actions. It is as if she has never seen her son behave in such a manner," Sindel pointed out.

Kitana nodded her head and remembered back to the time she and Scorpion babysat for Raonko. She shook her head, remembering that she did not want to bring up such a troublesome day.

"You two can come out now," Ashrah told the two from outside.

Sindel came out from underneath the table first and helped her daughter out. Both women looked around with wide eyes and gaping mouths as they assessed the damage Raonko had done to the banquet hall.

"I am REALLY sorry about this, Sindel," Ashrah apologized. Raonko was in her arms and holding a light blue baby rattle.

"Where did you get that?" Kitana pointed to the rattle.

"Oh, I had it in my pocket this whole time," Ashrah answered.

Sindel was quiet. She stared at the surrounding for a few more seconds before speaking. "How about we have the baby shower outside in the gardens instead?"

The baby shower, surprising as it was, ran its course without any destructive distractions from Raonko. Tables were set up outside in the gardens, the guests were having a grand time chatting and eating food together, and Kitana and Scorpion were enjoying the company of all their friends.

"Well, this turned out to be a very wonderful baby shower, Kitana," Ashrah noted as she approached the expecting couple.

"Yes, it has. Don't worry about the banquet hall, Ashrah. We'll have it fixed soon," Kitana guaranteed her.

"I am really sorry about that. Raonko, what do you have to say for yourself?" Ashrah asked her son. Raonko merely giggled in response. Ashrah shook her head. "At least he didn't act like this when the two of you babysat him."

Kitana and Scorpion looked at each with and then back at Ashrah. "Right. He was a real…angel," Scorpion replied with a roll of his eyes.

Raonko laughed and shot an orb of light at a rose bush, startling the guests. "Boom! Boom!" Raonko squealed in delight.

Ashrah groaned. "I think we'll be leaving a little early today."

Well, here you go. Sorry if this chapter wasn't as funny, I had a troubling time trying to write this story out. I hope my next update won't too long but I'm not making any promises. So the idea for this chapter came from The Night Lord. His cameo, or the character he was in this chapter, was the first male servant who was electrocuted near the beginning of the chapter. Until next chapter!
