The Ghost
- Are we there - Bella ask looking around

They started walking. The beach was protected by a cliff so they have to climb. If it wasn't for the strength rune they wouldn't make it to the top. From there, Valentine asked for directions and they arrive to the road.
Because it was winter there weren't many busses so they have to walk for a while.
- about what we were talking back there - said Valentine to Bella in a whisper while Sasha was walking in front of them with her headphones on - About Simon - he hesitate and she blush
- Yes - she didn't look at him - I like him like him - she said secure and getting even more red
- Since when? - He ask without thinking
- Mmm remember my 14th birthday? - She asked looking at the sky. Valentine shook his head - Our parents had to go to Idris so we stay at his house

He almost broke the door - she giggled - and dragged me to a coffee. He sat there with me and ordered a piece of strawberry cake. I still don't know why strawberry.

- Not at that time - she said finally looking at Valentine - it's my favorite since then.
- You only have coffee and a cake?
- No - she said smiling - then he took me to a fair, we played some games, and ride some rides. At the end of the day was in love of him head to toe - she sighed - after that I kept finding things that I like about him
- That must be nice - he said looking at her. He realized that he just had a crush about her, he was not in love, not like she was about Simon, and he never felt that way for her. He just liked to be around her, nothing more
- Hey you two love birds - Sasha said - a bus is coming.
They ride the bus to the city. From there they didn't know where to go. They stop to eat in some tourist restaurant and check-in in a Hotel. It was already night when they enter the room.
- Now what - Sasha said from her bed
- We have to figure out where that mansion is - said Valentine from the bathroom
- It would be easier if all of us could understand what everybody says - Bella complain

- I know - said Bella frustrated - I think if would be better if we uhmmm find a guide - she hesitate
- What kind of guide - said Valentine getting out of the bathroom
- the kissing kind - Said Sasha with a evil smile - I saw a bar around the park - their room was in the second floor of a relative new building, it was in a very touristic zone and had a view to a park

- I'll do the kissing - said Sasha looking through the window - Valentine will do the talking and you can do the buying. I'm starving.
Three left the room heavily armed with their battle gear under the long coats. They walk through the park looking couples everywhere; the park was full of cat's that hiss every time they encounter Sasha. They arrive to a very busy alley, full of pizza restaurants, karaoke and pubs. People walk without looking at them twice.
- Now where - Bella said looking everywhere
- First food - Sasha said getting into a pizza place - V, ask for the largest pizza they have with the most meat - Bella and Valentine enter and sit with her

Bella get bored and start watching the big TV behind Valentine. Sasha started talking to the guys in the table next to them. Valentine got lost in his thoughts. He knew his mother was already informed by Joan of what they have done. Maybe she was organizing search parties around the blockade so they could found where they bounce in their attempt of pierce the blockade. He was wondering how long will take her to realize that they got through.
- Over here -a girl's voice whisper in his ear. He turn around and saw a girl in a white fit dress, her silver hair was tide in a very long braid. Her red blood eyes were fixed on him - come - she spoke like she was by his side but she was almost 10 feet away pointing a pub - you need to get in here - she whisper again. Valentine turned to Bella and Sasha both girls were immersing in what they were doing.
- Did you hear that? - He said
- Hear what - Bella said switching her view to him - sorry I was trying to understand that TV show
- That girl - he turn and point but she wasn't there anymore - there was a girl right there - he said looking around - white dress, silver hair red eyes
- A demon? - Bella ask looking around
- Demon, where? - Sasha turned to her friends
- Not a demon - Said Valentine -she whispered she... - he stood up and start walking to the pub. Sasha rush behind him and Bella, after paying the bill, arrived to the front of the pub - Here - said Valentine
- I don't think so, the guys over there tell me that they know this guy who... - but Valentine didn't hear her, he just enter the pub - what's with him? - Said Sasha following Valentine into the pub
The pub was illuminated by black light with a heavy blue shade. It was full of people dancing around the tables and passages. The music was so loud they couldn't here each other shout. They have to be very close to spoken.
- Follow me - whisper the voice of the girl again to Valentine and he could see her, her white dress shining blue by the light, her silver hair just shining. She was a few feet away. Valentine tried to reach her but every time he blink she went far - he will help you - finally said the girl pointing a guy on the bar. He was 19 thought Valentine, honey-brown hair and broad shoulders. He could see a rune in the back of his neck - a shadowhunter - he thought and the girl nod and disappear. Valentine look back, Bella was just behind him and Sasha was a little behind her. He turned again and sat beside the guy.
- Hola - he said hesitating - necesitamos ayuda - and he show him his Steele. The boy looked at Valentine and looked at his friends and nod.
- Alberto - the boy said - voy a usar el cuarto de atras, dile a María que lleve algo de tomar y comer - he said looking at the group of shadowhunters - mejor si es una gasosa y algo grasoso para los gringos.
The boy stood up and with a move of his hand signed Valentine to follow him. They went through the crow to a little door almost hidden. The boy open the door, Valentine hesitate but finally enter. Bella was close behind him, Sasha enter after a quick examinating the boy head to toe. The boy closed the door behind him. The room was big full of sofas all around the walls, a TV and a coffee table in the middle. He pointed the sofas and invited with his hand to sit, then someone knock the door, it was waitress with some fries and cokes. When she left the boy sit across Valentine.
- Here is safe to talk - He finally said looking directly to Valentine - but before you tell me what you need I have some questions - He look at the girls. Valentine just nod - how did you get here? - Valentine opened his mouth but hesitate. Bella put her hand in his knee
- By portal - she said looking at the boy
- Impossible, nobody can enter the blockade - he said
- It's true - she said without turning her gaze. He looked at Sasha, then a Valentine and finally at Bella's eyes - So, the Clave send children to deal with Marco
- We are not... - Sasha start but Bella interrupt.
- We are not with the Clave. We came by our own will
- So - he said lying down in the sofa - the brains - he look at Bella - the looks - he look at Sasha - and I guess security - finally looking at Valentine - what you need?
- First - Bella said looking at him severely - your name
- No can't do missy - he look very relax - If Marco realized I'm alive we all get in troubles - he was looking at the door now
- We need to get to the nearest institute - Sasha said annoyed - so we can...
- No more institutes in Lima, or South America for the time been

She was sitting at his right he could see through her, like she was a projection, but no one else saw her. He could see the runes engraved in her skin, they were white marks tracing her arms and legs. She was looking at him. Her big red eyes were just inches from his; he could hear her breath and his heart skip a beat...
- We need to get to the Mansion, Alejandro - Said Valentine trying to compose himself - we don't need you with us, just a way to get there - Alejandro tense himself and look at Valentine
- How do you know my name - he said looking at the three again - in fact, how did you found me. We are in one of the most busy streets in Lima and you walk across the people right to me - Bella grab Valentine's arm, she was scare - who are you.
- No names, you said it yourself - Sasha take the lead and stood up - lets go, he's just a coward - she walk to the door
- Call me whatever you want missy - he said angry - you don't know what Marco is capable of doing
- He killed the other shadowhunters - Valentine said - how?
- He invented a drug, a mundane drug - he said sitting back again - highly addictive. It control mundanes, doesn't affect Shadowhunters, but mundane and downworlders can't resist it - the three friends look at each other in silence
- Why he wanted the mundanes? - Bella ask finally
- Not sure the main plan, but his objective is quite simple. He wants to bring down the Clave
- I thought he wanted independence from the Clave - Sasha said sitting down
- At first, then he want to destroy it - He said with a grim - You don't look like Special Forces to me
- As I said - Bella begin - we came by our own will, we are looking for a friend of ours, a vampire - she add - he was invited to the mansion a week ago
- The outsiders - he said with a sad smile - the werewolf die this morning. I hear a Warlock and a very particular vampire were capture and taken to the dungeons - he's eyes now were looking at them with curiosity - I hear one vampire escape and the Fairy leave with a promise to her queen.
- The vampire arrived to our house - Said Valentine - the warlock and the other vampire are friend of ours. We came to save them - Alejandro look at them very carefully
- You look like good people - he sigh - better for you to forget your friends. There's nothing you can do for them - he stood up and reached for the door - go back the same way you came and alert the Clave. Marco won't forgive anyone. He will destroy the Clave and all shadowhunters - and he leave.
- That was a great help - Sasha said angry - I don't believe that guy - the door opened again
- No deberias decir eso - the waitress said entering the room - Alejandro esta mmm... asustado scare? - She closed the door
- Entiendo - said Valentine looking at the runes engraved in her arms - pero necesitamos ayuda - she smile in relieve hearing Valentine speaking in Spanish

The waitress walk silently, Valentine realizes she had marks to, an Iriatse vanishing under her sleeve and the same rune Alejnadro had on the back of her neck. They went across the parking lot into the street. Valentine didn't recognize the street. They were walking fast but not running they arrive to an avenue with a central park and some benches right in the corner was a starbucks she enter and seat in the most cover table. Sasha, Bella and Valentine sit with her. She looks at Valentine and start whispering
- Necesito que dibujen esto en sus cuellos - she said turning her head and showing the odd rune - rápido - Bella had her Steele in hand already. Sasha turn and Bella started to draw using the waitress rune as a model. Then she turned to Valentine. At last Sasha drew on Bella. For a few minutes they didn't dare to move, they could see the police lights from the street.
- Mi nombre es Maria - said the girl in a whisper
- Valentine - he said pointing himself - Bella y Sasha - Maria nod and smile
- Coffee - Maria said standing up and walking to the counter
- What was all that about - said Sasha
- Maria said Moonhunt has some warlock under his command and they were following us - he try to summarize everything - I think she really wants to help us - suddenly his hand was feeling heavy. He looked at Sasha and she was asleep in her sit. He turned to Bella and she was fighting her sleep
- What's happening - she said looking at Maria who run to them and almost shove the coffee in their throat
- No sleep - she said waking Sasha
- Que pasa? - Valentine said drinking more coffee

- she said is the rune - the girl with the silver hair whisper to Valentine - it take a toll on your energy to disguise the energy residous of the runes you use to enter and hide - he look at her. In this almost sleep state he could see her almost solid, her white marks, her silver hair and red blood eyes. He try to reach her but Maria catch his hand and gave him more coffee.
After 5 cups of coffee and several trips to the bathroom they were awake enough to walk.
- Iremos primero a buscar apoyo y de ahi iremos a la Mansion - she look at the girls - first help, second fight
- Ok - Sasha said with a smile.
They left the starbucks almost at dawn. The streets were still full of people, people that were going home after partying all night, some other just woke up and going to work. Maria was walking in front of him with Sasha by the hand. Neither understood what the other was saying but they laugh anyway
- I hate Sasha for that - Bella said pointing Sasha and Maria - they don't even talk the same language and they are best friends - Valentine laughed and let her grab his arm
- You are like a sister to her; you know that, don't you? - He said thinking how cute she looked when she felt insecure
- Guys - Sasha said turning to them - Maria said there are some vampire that can help us
- How in the world you understand her? - Valentine said smiling the husky looking girl

They arrive to a subway like bus station, Maria used her card to pay their passage and ride the bus for almost an hour. The bus was too crowded for them to sit. Sasha and Bella accommodated in each of his shoulders and slept soundly. Maria looked worry to the back window.
The silver hair girl appeared again in front of him. She was even more translucent at sunlight. She looked at him and smile.
- You shouldn't have come - she whisper - he wants you
- Who? Moonhunt? - Valentine whisper. She nodded - Why he would want me?
- He needs a catalyst - the sunlight get in Valentine's eyes and she disappeared again
- wait! - He gasped not to loud so his friends didn't wake up
- I'm not leaving you - the girl whisper but he couldn't see her - It's just that under sunlight I can't be seen
- What you mean by a catalyst - he whisper wishing to look at her again
- I'm not sure, but he always mention you and your mother Valentine Lightwood-Fairchild
- That's my mother's surname - he said - Simon's friends surname - he said thinking - If he wanted us why he invited Simon?
- I'm not sure
- Who are you? - He heard her breath so close and a chill run through his spine
- For now let's say I'm a ghost

Even after an hour in the bus they were still in the city. The neighborhood didn't look good, but they were 4 shadowhunters, 3 of them arm to the teeths. They walk for blocks in silence; Bella and Sasha were grabbing Valentine by the arms so they keep the heat. Finally they arrive to a soda factory. It looked operational. Maria went to the door and talk to the guard. He looked at them. The man looked pale and zombie like
- Vamos - she said crossing the door to a dark passage - al parecer ya nos esperaban - a cold chill cross Valentine spine
