It was another day at Fairy Academy and today was the day where Makarov chose the team . The entire school was gathered in the assembly hall talking away . It fell silent when Erza and Master Makarov walked into the room . Erza sat down next to Wendy .
" Goodmorning I have gathered you here today to tell everyone the students i have chosen to compete in the competition . First of all I will explain the competition rules and stuff " clarified Makarov .
" Fairy Academy vs Phantom High. It will take place in the Grand Magic Games Stadium in Fiore . Each school has a whole balcony for our other students to support their team . For each round the winning team gets ten points . For team battles, EACH person on the winning team gets ten points and finally the unknown battle at the end of the competiton has a prize of twenty points . Next week the competition will start and in each day there are three matches . Understood ? " said Makarov .
" Yes sir " .
" Me and the head come up with a strong team based on stength , brains , speed and power . We have chosen " .
The school was extremely loud with all the excitement .
" Hush , QUIET ! We have chosen : Natsu Dragneel , Erza Scarlet , Gray Fullbuster , Lucy Heartfelia , Wendy Marvell , Cana Alberona , Levi Mcgarden , Jet , Mirajane Strauss and Elfman Strauss " .
The entire school cheered as they knew they was going to win with a team like that .
" Jose from Phantom has asked me to scare you by showing his " incredible " team " Makarov said trying not to burst into laughter .
" He put the slideshow up on the board of Phantom`s team . Gajeel Redfox , Evergreen , Juvia Lockser , Chelia Blendy , Racer , Yukino Aguria , Midnight , Freed Justine and Evergreen . Nothing to worry about " .
As usual , the school bell rung and period one started . For Team Fairy Tail it was no lessons for a week . Mainly training but a few lessons here and there . They all went their seperate ways . Mirajane and Erza were working together , Lucy and Levi and Jet , Elfman and wendy and Cana , and Natsu and Gray . Makarov called them into the common room for a quick chat .
" So it it happening " he said .
" Remember this is not for fun this is to keep our place as top school in Fiore but mainly as payback for them attacking Elfman . Also whip their sorry little butts especially my grandson . "
" Your grandson ? " asked Natsu .
" Laxus Dreyer is my grandson , his father , my son is leader of Raven Tail a dark guild . Laxus followed in his father`s footsteps but joined Phantom High so as payback for me beat him please " laughed Makarov .
" Gladly " said Mirajane .
" Now off you go Ms Kinana is waiting for you , don`t make her angry " smiled Makarov .
The team went to the school building and went to the science lab . The science teacher is called Ms Kinana . She is a woman who`s other form is the former partner of Orachion Seis`s Cobra . The class sat down on a stall and faced the teacher immediately .
" Experiment day . Find a pair and a place . Hurry " she said .
The class shuffled around and found a pair . The last two students were Natsu and Gray . They looked at eachother in disgust . Natsu and Gray argued all the time .
" Boys you are wasting time " Ms Kinana snapped at Natsu and Gray .
" Yh Gray , hurry " .
" Shutup Natsu " .
" OOH killem " said Elfman at the back of the room .
Ms Kinana turned to Cubellios ( the name of her snake form ) . She was a long violet snake with tiny bat wings and bright green eyes with black pupils . She stared at the boys but they never even realised .
" ssss" .
Cubellios striked at Natsu and Gray with powerful force . She wrapped her long scaley tail around both their necks .
" Choke " .
" Choke " .
She let go .
" Get in a pair " .
" Yes .. yes Ms Kinana " they said simultaneously and scaredly .
Natsu and Gray quickly sat down next to eachother and put ont their safety goggles .
" Now .. " she tried to say .
" Sorry Ms Kinana but can i have ... " said Makarov who was interupted by Cubellios`s tail across his face .
It took some time for her to realise what she had done . Soon after , she turned back to human and apologized to her boss .
" Team Fairy Tail training time and Kinana we will speak later " Makarov said .
Natsu , Gray , Erza , Lucy , Cana , Mira , Elfman , Levi , Jet and Wendy followed Makarov to the wrestling room . He left them with Mr Taurus ( wrestling teacher / celestrial spirit ) . Taurus gave the team some practice moves and skills then left them to it . The competiton was tomorrow .
" We will win , we will survive using the Fairy Academy spirit " said Lucy confidently .
" If you truly desire greatness, you must first know what makes you weak! " said Erza .
" Everyone makes mistakes, but then you recover. Look at all of the friends you have here who adore you. It would be difficult for anything to change that. If you keep that in mind, you should be able to get back on your feet any number of times " said Gray .
" The minute you think of giving up - think of the reason why you held on so much " said Natsu .
" That is the Fairy Academy way " they all said together .
Later on that day - Makarov come back .
" Are you ready ? " he asked .
" Ready " .
