A/N: Now here is the new chapter! Hope you like it!

Chapter 10:

Naruto entered the village just behind his team, in a deep thoughtful trance. This battle with Zabuza and Haku showed just how much more training he needed. He made a vow right then and there that he would look into jutsu for his affinities as well as start on a second sword style and maybe even look into that sealing art that he heard his birth parents were so fond of. Naruto soon realized that he had fallen behind his team as they made their way towards the Hokage's office to report. Usually the team leader would do this but seeing during the battle he was occupied, Kakashi felt it best that the team start getting used to these type of situations. Plus they had the matter of Zabuza's sword to deal with.

To say the Hokage was shocked was an understatement; the old monkey had even dropped his pipe upon the finishing of the tale from team seven. Sarutobi had been given a report from the spy network that one of his shinobi had gained a new moniker but he never thought it would be a fresh faced genin. The Hitokiri no Konoha, Naruto was shocked as well not hearing the bandits call him that as they were slain. It was after the samurai got over his shock that Kakashi pulled out the zanbato that Zabuza had wielded.

Sarutobi looked at the large weapon in awe, he could see the craftsmanship that went into the blade and he also knew why this was considered one of the seven swords of the mist. Naruto stepped forward and placed his hand on the blade and felt that chakra in the sword resonate much like another chakra signature he knew.

"Sasuke, why don't you try to pick up the sword?" asked the jinchūriki looking at the Uchiha heir. The dark haired boy scoffed as he remembered how Kakashi struggled to lift the blade, stepped forward and grabbed the hilt of the zanbato and lifted. Everybody save Naruto was surprised when it lifted right up into the air. "You see the seven swords of the mist are somewhat sentient, they respond to certain types of chakra, and Sasuke here seems to have the right chakra for It." explained Naruto who as a child was fascinated about the seven swords. After a pleading look Sarutobi relented and said that Sasuke could keep the sword but sadly he would have to make his own style for it seeing as no one in the village has ever wielded a sword of that size.

"Um, Hokage-sama, I might know of someone who could teach Sasuke, but he is in the Land of Iron and he, uh, might bring a few people with him…" Naruto offered scratching the back of his head thinking of the brawler and his "family". The Hokage thought about it for a bit; on one hand having a zanbato master and his friends in the village was a definite advantage, on top of the Uchiha heir becoming more powerful which would make the council very happy. On the other hand where would he put this group, that's when an idea hit him. "Naruto if you would allow it we could reopen your father's compound and house your friends there as well as yourself" asked the Hokage. Naruto immediately agreed thinking he knew exactly who would show up with the teacher.

Biting his thumb and went through a set of hand seals, "Summoning Jutsu: Arrow" there was a cloud of smoke that soon dispersed showing a being about three feet tall, it was a bird that had arms and legs. "Arrow, could please deliver a message to Yahiko for me?" Asked the young summoner, the bird nodded his head and took the scroll that Naruto had written out for his sensei. After the summons had zoomed out the window at surprising speeds, Naruto saw the questioning looks from the Hokage and Kakashi, "Arrow is one of three that are the speediest summons of the Art of War contract, though he is mainly for long distances versus the other two that are more battlefield oriented." Kakashi thought that this contract was probably the most useful in all situations.

The team left shortly after, though Naruto stayed behind to ask the Hokage a few questions. "Hokage-sama, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction of a fuinjutsu teacher, I need training and Kakashi-sensei is teaching me ninjutsu, however I would like to learn the craft of my birth parents." This made the Hokage think before going over to his own private collection of knowledge and brought back to his desk a book no bigger than an Icha Icha book which made the blonde frown.

"This is the seals journal that Minato kept, I believe he would have wanted you to have it. Use it well, you are dismissed." Naruto took the journal reverently as he bowed and walked out of the office. He went back to his apartment and spent the rest of the afternoon and the night reading his dad's journal and getting the basics down, he could now make gravity seals, explosive tags, and storage scrolls. It looked like the higher levels were gonna take a ton of practice and further research but he found that you could almost do anything with seals. He went to bed with the journal on his nightstand and a smile on his face.

The next morning, found Naruto arriving two hours earlier than his team was supposed to meet. He sat under the shade of a tree and began placing a gravity seal on his chest; this seal would stay on him as long as he pumped chakra through it. He pushed enough chakra to have two times gravity be placed on his body, luckily it only affected his body so when he was leaping from branch to branch the limbs wouldn't snap and he wouldn't fall. He then decided to get his body used to the extra weight by jogging around the training ground, after a dozen laps he was breathing heavy and realized that this would take some getting used to. He spent the rest of the time working on his speed with the seal in place he wanted to see how fast his Shinsoku would be after removing his seal and the only way he thought he could do that is by getting back to his normal speed.

This is how his teammates found him shooting across the training ground and back, drenched in sweat and panting heavily. "What are you doing Naruto?" asked Sasuke, giving his a weird look. "Training, I have a gravity seal on and am trying to get my speed up" panted back the blonde as he rested his hands on his knees. "Hn, well great minds think a lot, I am also wearing weights." Replied Sasuke showing weights on his wrists and ankles, "Me too" inputted Sakura showing the same as Sasuke. Kakashi smiled as he saw his genin, it was then that he remembered what he wanted to speak to them about.

"Ok team, the Chunin Exams are happening in three months and I have already decided to enroll you all in it. Now that gives us three months to work on getting you stronger seeing as the test is gonna be hel-" Kakashi was cut off as Arrow returned. "Naruto I delivered the letter and have a response," said the bird-man as he landed in front of the team. "He and his group are heading here and will arrive in six weeks time, they want to see the sights" Naruto sighed hearing that knowing how lazy the man he called could be. "Alright, you did great Arrow" dismissing the summons Naruto turned to his team with a cheesy grin, "Looks like we have six weeks till the real fun begins, so where do we start?"

A/N: I know this isn't as long as the last but this one is a stepping stone that needed to be placed before the meat and potatoes.

The next chapter should have at least the first exam and the introduction of the mystery teacher.

A shout out to any and all who guess who the teacher will be!
