Hi, guys. We're getting real close to... well, something. I can't spoil it. Right? Right. So, anyway, here is the first chapter of Act 3. Hope you enjoy it.

Act 3

Scene 1

(Still the sam day. Less than an hour before opening the Olympic Games. Bia, Tiago and Alexa have come to Rio, alongside with Mihaela and Sam. They arrive inside the dancing club, ignorant of what happened there in the last 24 hours. They notice Eduardo and Diana holding each other in a very comfortable hug, but Blu and Jewel are nowhere to be seen. Sam reacts first.)

SAM (to Diana): Why am I not even remotely surprised?

TIAGO (to Eduardo, unrelated to Sam's line): Yes, it was about time you-

SAM (still to Diana, and yes, he interrupted Tiago): So you think it's completely alright to just dump your husband for no reason and throw yourself at someone else, 10 or more years older than you, IN LESS THAN THREE WEEKS?!

TIAGO (interrupts): I'm sorry, just... pop-pop?

EDUARDO: Yeah?

TIAGO: Where are my parents?

EDUARDO: Oh, they're on that football stadium, waiting for some games to open.

(Tiago looks at Bia and Alexa, all of which smile widely.)

TIAGO: Thanks.

EDUARDO: And where have you been all day?

(Tiago, Bia and Alexa just stand there with awkward straight faces.)

TIAGO (uncomfortably): Home. (Pause.) Playing Monopoly.

EDUARDO: Cool. (Not really.)

TIAGO: Okay, then. See you. (He, Bia and Alexa fly away.)

MIHAELA: Hey, wait for me! (Flies after them.)

(Sam and Diana continue arguing.)

DIANA (to Sam, seriously): For a reason, Samuel! Definietly for a reason!

SAM: Don't lie to me. You know how- (Diana punches him in the face. With her claw.) Ow.

DIANA (now angrily): Not even once have I ever lied to you, Samuel! Never! And how many times have you betrayed me?

EDUARDO (tries to calm them down): Hey, hey, hey, HEY! What's wrong with you two?

DIANA (sighs): Sam, this is Eduardo. Eddie, this is Samuel, Martin's father.

EDUARDO: Oh, so you're that guy-

SAM: Yes. (Pause.) And... (Pause.) Yes. (Pause. Awkard silence in the room. Did I say pause?)

(Martin and Carla arrive back at the club, not having noticed those who just flew away and also unaware of what's going on.)

MARTIN: Yeah, we should've totally- (Notices his father.) Dad!

SAM: Martin! What's up, buddy? (They high-five each other. Notices Carla with him.) And who is this young lady?

MARTIN: Oh, this is Carla. Carla, this is my dad.

CARLA: Oh, nice to meet you.

SAM (to Martin): But, I thought you were... I mean... you know...

MARTIN: Yeah... (looks at Carla and back at his father.) I thought so too.

SAM: Nice! (To Carla) Good job, fatty.

CARLA (Pause. Slightly insulted by what Sam just said): Shut up.

SAM: Okay.

EDUARDO (to the two kids): So, what are you two doing together?

MARTIN: Oh, we were just on our way to Maracana.

EDUARDO: Oh, okay then. have fun.

MARTIN and CARLA: Thanks. (They fly away.)

SAM: And me? (Looks around. Looks at Diana.) Oh, right. I came here for the Games, not to fight with you. (Flies after Martin and Carla.)

(Pause.)

DIANA (frustrated): What a jerk!

EDUARDO: It's okay, he is just stupid.

DIANA (sighs): I guess you're right.

EDUARDO: And what are we going to do for the rest of the day?

DIANA (thinks): Hmmm... Wanna go on the beach?

EDUARDO: Sure.

(The two go on the beach.)
