I lost control that rage was something I kept inside for years since I was four I held it down but it just came out. My weakness my failure I was the reason Nico died my fault these were the thoughts running through my head as we trudged into the city. Me and Bianca had been running away from each other at least twelve feet apart at all times. We walked on and on forever it seemed before Zoe spoke "we should find Nereus he knows everything so we could find were Artemis is or mayhaps something about the monster"."ok where would Nereus be ". "hmm the docks is the number one spot if not than we should find him easy enough you can smell him from a mile away".

I feel disgusting in these old moldy clothes "Why am I the one in these again"."because Nereus could escape into the seas if anyone else went"."there are worse clothes". Alex was more sympathetic than the others but mostly he looked sad. So I stumbled along mumbling under my breath and sniffing until I got a whiff of something terrible that came from an skinny moldy and somehow older Santa looking man on the docks I walked over there and plopped down next to him. I looked at him from the corner of my eye and after a few minutes he pounced yep moldy Santa attacked me we rolled around on the dock for a bit before slipping down into the water he was shifting nonstop goldfish,eel,sea lion,killerwhale you name it he was it until we flopped out of the water onto the beach "cursed demigod why won't you drown"."son of Posieden"."curse that upstart I was hear first".

A series of holly shit and what the hades rang out as the others turned around behind us were ten mortal mercenarys and Dr Thorn "well I didn't expect you to notice us but so what the plan can still work Thalia are you ready for your moment"."what the hades do you mean 'my moment'". Thalia stepped forward spear raised "why isn't it obvious you can call the Ophitaurus than once you sacrifice him you will have the power to overthrow Olympus "."yap yap yap"."what the Styx is that"."oh damn Xerxes has woken up continue with your speech man I just gotta give him some water and a bit of food". as Thorn was speaking Thalias eyes glazed over but the shock of a waking puppy snapped her out of it "never I won't join you you bastard"."hmm you can resist your fatal flaw "."my what"."fatal flaw lust for power is yours. When Thalia said she had it covered I expected a lot of things none of witch was a medium sized house that had a minivan out front "this is were Annabeths dad lives".ok that somewhat explains it "well what are we standing around for let's go in".Alex wasted no time walking toward the door and knocking he also wasted no time putting Thalia in front of him "what are you doing"."I know nothing about them you know something".before she could argue the door opened and out stepped a middle aged chinese looking person "hello what can I do for you"."we need to talk to Mr Chase its about Annabeth ".she froze up a little at hearing her name but then said "ok Ill take you to him".they then walked threw the house and up the stairs careful not to step on any of the toys strewn around the floor.

Alex than did the craziest thing any of them had ever seen except for Alex himself and even then it was probably in the top ten he charged a titan when they clashed he went for an overhead swing before punching him in the gut with his shield to no effect "hay you are Atlas right". "yes".in the moment it took for Atlas to wonder why he asked that question Alex went full on attack his speed was incredible his blade swinging in every direction at once lunges turning into down strokes but however good Alex was Atlas was ten times better after getting over the initial shock he swung and Alex blocked only to skid back three feet Alex was desperately dodging and parrieing. But eventually he was a hint to slow to get out from an attack and though he twisted at a near impossible angle to avoid it it still caught him or more specifically his eye "you son of a bitch that was my second favourite eye. Does anyone have like a large bandaid or something it would be a great help".Atlas had something other than a bandaid in mind for him to great confusion he tossed his spear a side and charged Alex ripping the weapons from his grasp Atlas than threw the shield to the side while stabbing him in the gut with the sword leaving it there he lifted Alex into the air slamming him into the wall repeatedly while choking him Bianca ran from the monsters or traitors the others were fighting and stabbed Atlas in the side he than slapped her a into one of the newly rebuilt rooms pulled the blade out of himself and stabbed Alex with it who might I add looked like shit Atlas then dropped him to the ground before kneeling down as if to gloat but Alex beat him to it "you want to know why you'll lose Atlas"."why demigod"."because you launched her into your trophy room yah know thone full of ancient sacred powerful weapons". Atlas turned around only to be blasted through the wall by bolt of pure darkness.
"Did you know it did that"."I don't know what it is Alex all I know is I'm keeping it"."good it suites you". the 'it' in question was the sword spear that Bianca saw in her dream "you stay here"."if I move you'll kill me won't you "."good your learning"."yep happy wife happy life"."what!"."don't worry I'm delirious from blood loss its fine were all happy and stuff hay we should go out on a date if we survive this fancy restaurant movie the works"."alright if we survive this".Bianca ran off to help the others while Alex ate a near deadly amount of ambrosia.
He then pulled the swords from his stomach and and started to duel wield them returning to the fray and fighting alongside Percy who didn't really need his help but it was appreciated they fought for ages before Percy was thrown over right next to Artemis Alex looked over to what threw him and saw Atlas "you thought you were rid of me demigod nice try but you are far to weak to defeat me ".Alex swung at him with the sword in his left hand Atlas simply slapped it out of his grasp then with the right same result Alex than tried to punch him in the face his hand was caught left arm for his ribs no difference "you see child how futile it is hmm you know what after this I believe I'll have some fun with your pretty little girl friend over there". it was at that moment Atlas knew he fucked up Alex's eyes turned into fire a pure white slit in the middle of the green flame his hands burst a flame burning Atlas and forcing him to let go the earth rose and grabbed Atlas's legs Alex reached onto his back and drew Nicos sword however as it left the sheath the blade exploded into green fire the same fire that now covered his entire body settling into every groove of the elegantly carved armor and along his back forming a cape of flame.
You may wonder how this incredible change in power happened well Alex unlike many heros had two fatal flaws forgiveness which is quite similar to loyalty but with a few key differences one loyalty would give up the world for a friend forgiveness wouldn't and two with loyalty it is still possible to lose that friendship with forgiveness it is not. Now the other is wrath normally you see a sort of balance between the two however it is easy enough to tell if he has tipped one way or the other for when he is forgiving he is kind caring and everything you need in a friend. When he is wrath he is a blazing inferno of blood and death. A large difference no.
Well back to the story. Alex twirled around his blade coming from all sides and unlike before Atlas couldn't keep up he had to keep backing up every were Alex's flames touched new life grew but don't think that makes them harmless they mangled Atlas's arm quick enough when he tried to grab the cape and for a moment it seemed as though Alex could win but his short burst of power was just that short it lasted twenty five minutes just three more Alex could have finished him but alas the tide turned Alex fell to the ground exhausted and blood leaking from the corner of his mouth Atlas walked over to his spear his symbol of power just picking it up healed at least half of the damage Alex just dealt him he then went back over to Alex and raised his spear.
Mere milliseconds before Alex was dead a blur of silver hit him in the side nocking Atlas over and there was Artemis free and fighting looking over to where she was imprisoned Percy was there struggling under the wait of the sky. The fight between Atlas and Artemis was to hard for the author to describe so he decided to skip it and instead place you at a point your all familiar with. Percy could barely hold onto the sky and but he just managed to look at the fight between Artemis and Atlas. It was horrible Artemis was on her back Atlas standing over her spear raised to plunge into her heart as it went down Artemis rolled aside and used it as leverage to throw him over to the sky nocking Percy out from under it and placing Atlas back where he belongs.
Thalia had freed Annabeth and was fighting Luke with her when he was disarmed his back to the cliff they spoke "Luke give up maybe the gods will be merciful"."hah gods merciful the two just don't go together Annabeth"."we still take him back to Olympus the gods can do what they will with him"."oh godly justice Thalia you are to kind". "and your lucky I am because if I weren't I would just push you off this cliff".Thalia looked over her shoulder to see how her friends were doing Luke seeing his chance tried to grab her spear reacting on instinct alone Thalia jabbed forward pushing him off the cliff. She had no regrets but Annabeth was deeply effected a scream torn from her throat and a tears from her eyes.
Grover was playing so many different songs on his pipe that he forgot what they were. He was almost overwhelmed when Bianca went to help Alex sure he had Xerxes but he was still just a puppy thankfully she came back soon enough with some fancy knew spear to. He could only imagine how Percy and Zoe felt holding one of the sides alone.
The main monster force was now nearing the hill Artemis called her chariot but it would take to long to get there however there hope came true in the form of some crazy ass professor in a plane blasting monsters with celestial bronze bullets while shouting "get away from my daughter". like an over protective father who just found out there kid was dating.
This delayed the monsters enough for the chariot to reach them so they ran to it. Only to realize it was to small one of them would have to stay behind Percy Thalia and Annabeth all tried to do the noble thing and stay only to have it instantly shot down they were still discussing it when Alex shoved them forward said there was no time and stood to face the army that was very close with the last words 'tell Zeus I said fuck you' Alex charged an army.
As they flew away Bianca didn't cry but instead just felt num as though all emotion had been sucked from her all hope joy hate sadness all of it all the good and the bad gone replaced with nothing an empty hole hoping for some hope to fill it. Thalia cried a single tear the first since she died. Percy hung his head Alex may have been odd but he was a great friend honourable and trustworthy someone who would have your back no matter what. Artemis couldn't help but wonder why a male would give up his life for others and what man would gain such sorrow from these people at first she thought he was arrogant facing Atlas alone but now she was not so sure. Annabeth did not know who he was but he sacrificed himself for them so he couldn't have been to bad a person. Zoe was confused joyful and sad she thought she would die on this quest but she didn't thus a bit of confused and joyful she had her leader back so joyful but one of the few good men she had ever met was now dead he was a madman sure but a good man all the same. Grover felt Alex's emotions as they left and it was joyful like he felt oddly content as though he found a calling something he could devote himself a reason to fight.

Bianca felt hollow as they landed on Olympus the others were oohing and ahhing at everything she just put one foot in front of the other until they reached the throne room. Walking inside she looked around and saw all the gods she could only name two though Apollo he wasn't as old and mature as he was after Alex's pep talk or rant depends on who you talk to but he was far more mature than before. it then there was Mr D who looked the same. "ah yes your all here safe and sound now let's get to business"."all here what about my son". this came from an old motherly looking women in a dress made of what looked like wheat"hush Demeter we have more important business such as what are we to do with the sea spawn now that the Ophitaraus is alive again he could sneak to any water and kill it gaining far to much power".Demeter looked pissed and her hand clenched around the giant sickle at the side of her throne no he couldn't and even if he could so could your daughter"."what do you mean he couldn't he's your son Posieden and how dare you accuse my daughter"."he couldn't because I have the Ophitaraus safely locked up in Atlantis". "WHAT"!!!! "I have the Ophitaraus safely locked up in Atlantis"."BRING IT HERE IMMEDIATELY"."I was going to and request Hephestus to create an aquarium that it can't escape"."NO WE MUST DESTROY IT"."if you destroy the living Ophitaraus you can't destroy the entrails only a big three child can none of whom you fully trust and a giant cow serpent is far harder to steal then a pocket full of entrails". everyone was at a loss Athena agreeing with Posieden the world must be ending. A small ouch could be heard from Thalia at the not trusting part. "Hmm but they are dangerous still I would recommend killing the big three children"."you just had to ruin it". Apollo at least was speaking up somewhat for them"well put it to a vote hmm". and so they did seven life four death those who voted for them to live were Apollo,Artemis,Hephestus,Aphrodite,Posieden, Demeter,Zeus and Hermes those who voted for death where Hera,Ares and Athena Dionysus was a sleep but nodded and mumbled something about less demigods so they put him down for death.
"Well if you don't kill them than I should reward them"."holy Hades". When Bianca came to every one was talking about a party walking outside she saw people dancing and singing all that happy stuff but she couldn't join in. HAY SO ITS BEEN AN AGE SINCE I UPDATED I THOUGHT ABOUT DOING SOME STUFF ABOUT ALEX'S SIDE BUT ILL LET YOU PEOPLE WHO READ THIS STEW FOR A WHILE AND GIVE ME LOTS OF COMMENTS
