Ahh sorry it's been so long readers! I've had major writers block for this story :/

but now I'm back and ready to entertain you all with my writing!

"Well the telegram was sent, so now what?" Korra asked turning to her boyfriend who was deemed the plan guy of this mission.

Iroh turned to their underground friend "Do you have a map of the city?"

The man smiled and pulled one out of his shirt "One right here sir!"

The general took the paper and smoothed it over the table, Team Avatar huddled over to watch. "This is going to be the more arduous part" Iroh starts off "If we don't ground those aircrafts, Bumi's fleet with never be able to retake the city."

Mako studied the map for a minute before pointing to the map "They flew in from this direction, the air field must be somewhere over this mountain range." He concluded.

Korra watched with a small smile as her friend and boyfriend planned together, at least the tension was gone between everyone.

Iroh met her eyes and smiled before turning to her friends "Everyone get ready, we leave at dawn." He orders.

With that the rest of the group leaves the room leaving her to herself. Korra's mind wandered, how was she ever going to catch Amon if all she did was run and hide? It was time for her to face her fears head on. No more running.

She walked out of the room to see her friends still talking "Wait." She called out.

"What is it Korra?" Iroh asked concerned, his golden eyes meeting hers.

She shook her head and moved her gaze to all her friends, she knew they wouldn't accept what she was going to do but she had to. She was no longer going to be thought of as a coward. "I'm sorry, but I'm not going with you tomorrow?"

Iroh's eyes narrowed as Mako spoke "What do you mean?"

"It's time I face Amon, I'm not going to run from him anymore." She says angrily.

"Not a good idea Korra," Iroh starts "We need to stick together."

That was just an excuse, he wanted her in his sight at all times. He just didn't want to lose her and Korra knew that. But she had to push aside all her feelings and help save the world, she was the Avatar after all.

"I'm not waiting for him to hunt me down like some elk-deer! My gut tells me it's time to end this, on my terms."

Iroh approached his girlfriend and put his hands on her shoulders and spoke in a soft voice "Korra, this isn't a mission you should be handling alone. Please I can't lose you."

Korra's eyes soften and she put a hand on his cheek, her mouth opened to speak when another voice cut her off "She won't be alone. I'm going with you." Mako says approaching the couple.

"Mako," Korra starts "You don't have to do this."

His eyes met Iroh's before flickering to hers "Yes I do. Iroh has to help take down the aircraft and I know you can't do this alone. You're my friend Kor, and I'm going to stick with you."

Korra's smiled before pulling him into a hug "Thank you Mako."

"No problem. Now I have a girlfriend to comfort." He says pulling away to go to Asami.

She giggled and turned to see Iroh with a frown on his face "Iroh?"

He glanced up at her and pulled her into his arms "I love you Korra."

Her breath hitched, every time those words escaped his mouth, she couldn't help that her heart would beat wildly "I love you too. And don't worry I'll be fine." She comforts holding him close.

"I'll come back to you Korra, I promise. Then we can go on a nice vacation and not have to worry about a thing. Does that sound good?" Iroh asked pulling away slightly.

"That sounds perfect." She agrees then kisses his lips.

Iroh wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close as Korra's arms went around his neck, gripping him tightly.

A cough interrupted their passionate embrace causing the two benders to jump away from each other, a blush on Korra's face and a smirk on Iroh's.

"Sorry to interrupt your little love fest but we have a world to save." Asami says with a teasing smirk.

Korra turned to her boyfriend and kissed him one last time "I love you. I'll see you later?"

He nodded "I love you too."

The Avatar watched as her friends all said goodbye to each other, hopefully this wouldn't be the last time either.

Just as she finished putting on her equalist suit, Iroh hugged her one last time as Mako kissed Asami goodbye. "We'll be fine Iroh, now go. You have some aircrafts to stop."

He nodded and joined Asami and Bolin on Naga. Korra watched as her boyfriend and friends rode away.

"Are you ready Korra?" Mako asked.

She nodded her head "I'm ready."
