Wolf: Sorry for just up and leaving the story/writing in general like that. I just lost interest in writing I guess. Deep in my mind i wanted to get back to it, but whenever I did pull up my word editor, i just sat there thinking of what to type. I hope some people are still waiting for this and if there are I hope you enjoy this chapter and more to come.

Nino: And Wolf still doesn't own Fire Emblem!

Jaffar: Read and Review… or die…

Wolf & Nino: ...

Chapter 5: The Orders

The grass of the plains sways gently in the breeze. The sun is high in the sky near its pinnacle. A squad of green clad wyvern knights rests while on their journey to Seliora.

"Captain Wolf, we are half a day's ride from Castle Narrum," a soldier informed his superior officer. "Our scouts have confirmed that the White Order is still occupying it."

Captain Wolf contemplated for a moment. He has medium black hair. He wore green armor the shade of grass at its freshest. The wyvern on which he sat, Animus, was a much darker shade of green which could be mistaken for black without adequate lighting.

"What is the Red Order doing about this?" Wolf inquired.

"We have reports of Red Order troops marching from Fort Arx in Gaddos," the soldier replied.

"The Green Order has been commissioned by the Empress to expel both the Red and White Orders by any means necessary," Wolf spoke. "I would prefer to handle this peacefully, but the Red Order will not listen us, whom they see as inferior."

"If we aid the White Order in dispatching the Red Order's attack, perhaps they will be more open to what we say," the soldier suggested.

Wolf shook his head, "No, they won't leave Begnion just because we helped them against the Red Order. The Green and White Orders may not be outright enemies, but we are far from allies. We are perhaps a neutral presence to one another." Wolf thought for a few moments before speaking again, "Alright, after the battle between the other Orders is over, we attack the winner right away. Once, and if, we win; we demand they leave Begnion. Then we fly after the losers and demand that they leave Begnion or face annihilation by the famed wyverns of the Green Order." Wolf stood to address his soldiers, "We ride within the hour! Get your rest now, since we will probably be going into battle before we rest again!"

"Get up! Get up! Get up!" Ewan excitedly and impatiently shouted.

"Ugh, what is it, Ewan?" Franz groggily questioned his young friend. "The sun is barely up, so why are you?"

"You guys promised we could explore the city today!" Ewan impatiently explained.

"Why do we have to get up so early though?" Amelia asked as she rubbed her eye.

"To make sure we see the most that we can!" Ewan exclaimed.

"Fine, I guess we're already up now anyway," Franz sighed. "Amelia, you can use the bathing room first if you want."

"Okay, thanks, Franz," Amelia drearily stated as she sleepily approached the bathing room.

Neimi started to open her eyes and noticed that she was still leaning against Colm. She instantly got a faint blush from this.

"Sleep well?" Colm asked her.

"Uh, ye-es," she stuttered.

"Good, because we have a full day according to Ewan," Colm replied.

After rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Neimi added, "Oh, right, we're going to check out the city today. Ewan was really excited about that, wasn't he?"

"Yeah, he is," Franz said entering the conversation. "He made sure we didn't oversleep. The irony of the situation is that after he got Amelia and me up, he fell back to sleep."

Neimi giggled, "That's just like him."

Amelia then came out of the bathing room dressed in light traveling armor instead of her Great Knight armor from the day before. "Neimi, your turn," she said.

"Ugh, I'm still waking up, so Franz can go next," was Neimi's reply.

"Okay, I won't be long," Franz replied as he entered the bathing room.

Time Skip

After everyone was finished getting ready, they walked out of the cathedral ready to go. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for them today.

"Sir Franz," a steward cried out as he rushed towards the group, "You group's presence has been requested by Lord Sephiran."

"Aw man!" Ewan exclaimed. "Can't it wait?"

Franz sighed, "Ewan, I'm sure Lord Sephiran has a good reason for calling us, and it must be urgent since he knew of our plans for the day."

Amelia patted Ewan's head as he folded his arms with a scowl, "Don't worry Ewan, there'll be plenty of time for sightseeing while we're here."

"Fine, let's go," Ewan sulked.

When they arrived in the Prime Minister's office, Sephiran rose from his seat at his large desk, "Good Morning, ambassadors, and my apologies for calling you away from sightseeing our glorious capital today."

"It is fine, Lord Sephiran," Franz replied. "What is it you needed from us?"

"Ah, yes, straight to the point. In Begnion, nay in all of Tellius are groups of people who call themselves Orders. There were originally two orders: The Black Order and the White Order. They mainly stayed out of politics and were more like religious rival organizations. But eventually they turned into more like political parties. Even senators were lobbying for one or the other. Now, this didn't really cause any problems, neither one was calling for any drastic imperial changes. However with the rise of the Red Order, the scenario changed. The Red Order was much more… militant. What's more is that many generals and soldiers of the Begnion Army were joining this Red Order. The White and Black Orders have been bolstering troops of their own as well. We now realize that these Orders must be expelled from not just Begnion, but Tellius as a whole. There is also one more Order that has just recently risen to rank with the others: The Green Order. It is a coalition of Laguz and Beorc who strive for peace between the races, but they are not opposed to using force. They try to kill as few as possible in a fight…."

"These guys sound like the good guys!" Ewan interrupted. "Like heroes!"

"Ewan, it's rude too interrupt people," Amelia quietly said to the sage.

"It is quite alright, Lady Amelia. He is right, the Green Order is, at least compared to the other three, the 'good guys' as young Ewan put it," Sephiran continued. "They are the only ones we welcome in Begnion, and we have contracted them to rid Begnion of the other three with our own support of course."

"So, why are you telling us all this?" Colm asked rather impatiently.

"I have heard that you have done some mercenary work, correct?" Sephiran asked as his reply.

"Yes, we started mercenary work since our gold was of no value here," Amelia answered.

"Wait, don't tell me the largest Empire on Tellius needs a mercenary group's help?" Colm asked.

"Well, yes, it seems we do," Sephiran calmly replied. "We can not openly oppose the Red Order as about a third of our military is part of it. It is sad but true. So the Empress contracted the Green order and other mercenaries to push the red Order out of Begnion. "

"So, you want us to help this Green Order expel the Red Order, Correct?" Franz asked.

"That is the gist of it," Sephiran affirmed. "Commander Wolf of the green order is currently undertaking a contract for us to expel the White Order from Castle Narrum and the red order from Fort Arx. We have information that suggests the Black Order may use the upcoming battle to ambush Commander Wolf's forces. I would like you to inform him of this so he can prepare adequately, or in a worst case scenario act as his reinforcements."

"Alright, give us a few minut-" Franz started to say before Colm interrupted.

"We'll do it." After receiving stares of confusion and astonishment from the others he explained. "What? It's not like we weren't going to help. I just expedited the process."

Franz nodded, "you're right, Colm." He turned back to the Prime Minister, " Lord Sephiran, where is this Commander Wolf now?"

Sephiran directed their attention to a map on his desk. "They should be here almost to Fort Narrum by now. If you leave now, you should be able to make it there in three days because of your small numbers."

Amelia spoke up, "Alright, we'll be heading out soon then, Lord Sephiran."

The group got ready fairly quickly. they decided to ride light to maximize traveling speed, but were still battle ready in case of trouble. By midday they left the begnion capital to head for Castle Narrum. Hopefully they would not be too late.
