"Doctor? Doctor where've you gone off to now?" Rose called, sleepily stretching. She'd been attempting to keep a schedule of sorts and so she figured the time tot would be ready for a snack.
"Tum 'ere Wose!" He demanded from somewhere in the TARDIS. Smiling at his insistent tone, she headed for the console room. It had basically become his playground, he found the buttons and lights endlessly fascinating and loved to clamber around in amongst the pipes and nodes underneath the console.
"Doctor? I- doctor! What do you think you're doing?!"
The doors of the TARDIS were wide open and even from here she could see they were no longer parked on the apple grass.
"Tum 'ere peas Wose." He replied sitting on the edges of the door. She rushed forward to pull him away, get the doors closed. But almost in an instant, that thought was forgotten and she could only stare.
The TARDIS was hovering somewhere in the space above New New New- well. That one place. Trillions of stars seemed to float and dance around them, the luscious reds of nearby planet rings bringing an ethereal glow to the area.
Rose had always associated space with nothing but darkness, but here it was like seeing the very beginning of a sunrise. Deep hues of blue and pink and and purple all coming together in a picture so beautiful it brought tears to her eyes.
"It... s' gorgeous. " She swallowed.
"Da new new new nebula. Been building and fluc- fluctuating for 10,000 years." He informed her, sounding out the longer words. For a minute, she could pretend he was back to normal. That this was just another adventure with the doctor and everything was okay.
"Wose? I... I got a pise for you."
Wiping her eyes quickly, she turned with a forced smile.
"Oh good I- oh my god. Doctor that's. .."
He grinned up at her from his kneeling position, clad in his very best suit and little converse shined to a gleaming. In his outstretched hands was an open ring box, one that held a princess cut diamond cradled in a lush rose gold setting.
"Wose li ma pise?"
"Doctor that's... that's a ring."
"Wose wing now."
"Doctor.."
"Wose. I doctor. I doctor an I gots bad dreams and kying and.. and scared. Den, Wose tum. Wose pink and lellow and smiles." Eyes staring up at her adoringly he slipped the ring onto her left hand. "I doctor an' you ma Wose. I love ma Wose. So-"
His words were interrupted by a sudden jolt that knocked them both to the ground and slammed the doors shut. The console was going haywire, smoking and the TARDIS throwing them about like ragdolls.
"Doctor! What's happening? !" Rose yelled, hitting a rail. He bounced off the console but managed to hang on long enough to read from one of the monitors.
"Da monstas tummin! Dey grabbin da TARDIS-HANG ON WOSE!"
"Doctor!" Jack called, lurching in heavily. "Jack we have to land somewhere safe, get the doctor hidden!" Rose insisted, landing by the doors. Furiously the little doctor mashed buttons and pulled hard on the lever, swinging from it as they were tossed again.
As suddenly as it began it was over. The silence was almost louder than the chaos and both Jack and the doctor immediately went to Rose's side.
"Wose!"
"Rosie you alright?"
"I'm.. I'm alright." Wincing, she sat up. "What happened?"
"Da monstas Wose. I dunno... tum on." He headed for the door, giving a shout when she hauled him back.
"You're not going anywhere!"
"Wose-"
"No! What if there's something out there that could-"
"Rose. We need to know what we're dealing with here. We can go out briefly, see what we see and be back before you know it ." Jack cut in.
"No! I won't put him in danger!"
"Wose. I doctor. Peas." He whispered, taking her hand.
"But- I mean.. if something happens-"
"I tum back den."
She hesitated, then nodded slowly.
"First sign of trouble, you run."
"Dats my word!" He scolded with a smile. She looked away and headed for the door. "Let's just get this over with."
Peeking out, the trio took in the scene before them. It all seemed fairly peaceful, a long field with waist high grass that gave way to a lush forest. Nothing that would indicate they had just been attacked.
"I don't understand. Did we crash doctor?" Jack asked. The time toddler frowned and scanned the area. "No. Dey make us tum 'ere. Allon-sy! " he set out at a trot, hand firmly held by Rose and followed by Jack. "Dis gunna be fun ma wose!"
They had been walking for some time when the doctor broke into a run.
"Look Wose I see sometin!"
"Doctor wait! Come back here right now-"
Chasing after him Rose stumbled and yelped in pain as her ankle caught on a root and pulled her down.
"WOSE!"
"Doctor she's-"
"AIIIIIIIIYYYYYYEEEE!"
A loud cry rose up before darts began raining down on the unsuspecting three. Their assailants lept about in the trees, shooting the darts and calling for surrender. Something about returning to the farms. Whatever it was, they terrified the doctor and he threw his little body down to shelter Rose's while Jack tried to haul the two of them back to the TARDIS.
"Doctor get off me and run!"
"No!"
"You have to run sweetheart, go back to the TARDIS-"
"Tect ma Wose!"
"Doctor if we're all taken you can't go get help. If you wanna protect Rose you gotta run." Jack lied, stumbling under the weight of his two friends.
"No! No leave ma Wose, ma Jack!"
"Jack... put me down." Rose whispered.
"Rose we gotta-"
"Do it!" She snapped. He set her down and she hugged her little doctor tight.
"Everything'll be okay you hear? I promise. Now I need you to run." Eyes full, he clung even more.
"No. Tect ma Wose, I doctor, tect ma Wose!"
"I know. I know. I... I love you. My doctor."
She didn't look back when she threw him off her. Just jumped up and sprinted off as fast as her wounded ankle could carry her.
"HEY! YOU LOT! OVER HERE!" She whooped darting in the opposite direction of the TARDIS.
"WOSE!" Ignoring the doctor's sobs, Jack picked him up and ran for the ship, not stopping until they were safely inside. The time tot kicked his way down, beating at the door and screaming for his pink and yellow human.
"Doctor stop! Listen-"
"NO LI JACK! WOSE! WOSE TUM BACK! MA WOSE!"
The little doctor was hysterical and in desperation Jack essentially crushed him to his chest , mumbling nonsense noised until the angry tot calmed down.
"Now listen to me. Just listen. We're going back for her and we're going to get her back to the TARDIS. But we need a plan and I can't make one without your help. I need information, need to know what we're dealing with here. Can you help me so we can get our girl back?" He sniffed then bobbed his head quickly and wiped at his nose.
"We tummin Wose."

To those wondering, yes we are nearing the end I believe and YES the little Rose fic will
soon be updated. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna put up a Rogan fanfic (rogue and wolverine) and
it would mean the world to me if you all would give it a shot. When this one is done however I will definitely
continue with the Doctor Who fan fics because the 12th doctor's first episode gave me way too
many feels and I need my baby giraffe of an 11th doctor back! In the meantime review as always,
