Cora was busy picking the dinnerware for that night. Her mother would be arriving in an hour, and Sybil would be going to the station to pick her up. She was making a descison as Robert entered the dining room.
" Cora, I just received the strangest telegram." said Robert.
" Who is it from Robert." asked Cora.
"He addresses himself as H.D.L That just sounds like Dr. Clarkson telling Murray to watch his cholesterol." said Robert.
At this Cora started laughing.
" Oh Robert, That is my brother Harold. He always blames his initials on his health. What did he say." said Cora.
"He says James is good man, and that you and the girls will absolutely love him. He also says that he reminds him very much of your father. There is a picture enclosed." said Robert.
Cora's eyes went wide and her mouth was slightly agape.
" What is it Cora?" Robert asked.
"R-Robert." Cora said in barely a whisper as her face went pale and she collapsed to the floor.
" Cora!" Robert exclaimed as knelt next to his wife and shouted for Carson to get the doctor.
Meanwhile at the station...
Sybil glanced between the picture of her grandfather and the man stepping off of the train her. They looked so much alike.
"He looks like the same person. Is He? He can't be." She thought to herself. She was pulled out of her by her grandmother saying.
"Well, Sybil darling, it appears that they have sent you to collect me." Said the now Mrs. Martha Carrey.
" I had volunteered to come to the station because Mary and Edith are both out for the afternoon." said Sybil
" Ah okay, Sybil, James had to stop off at the restroom. I must tell you that he is your real grandfather. Levinson was a cover name to make him sound more American. I thought him dead until six months ago." said Martha quickly.
"Mother is going to be very angry. I, on the other hand am very happy. I have always wanted to meet my grandfather." said Sybil happily.
" I am happy to hear that, dear, but why would Cora be angry: Is that chauffeur you have a crush going to be driving us today?" said Martha oblivious to the fact that her granddaughter was turning the shade of her crimson hat.
" I- I do not have a crush on Branson, Grandmama." stammered Sybil.
" Say what you will, My dear, but you can not deny what I see in your face." Said Martha as Mr. Carrey exited the restroom and strode toward the two waiting women.
meanwhile back at Downton...
Doctor Clarkson arrived ten minutes after Carson called him, and went straight to Lady Grantham's chamber. By this time Cora had come to.
" My Lady, What happened shortly before you collapsed." questioned Doctor Clarkson trying to diagnose why Lady Grantham had collapsed.
" I was looking at a photograph of my father that was taken this year when he was presumed dead for twenty-five years. said Cora.
Doctor Clarkson then wrote a note on his pad and asked her the following question. " Were you feeling strangely before you saw the photo."
" Now that you mention it I was feeling a bit off." said Cora as Doctor Clarkson checked the heartbeat of her baby.
" Well that is interesting." said Doctor Clarkson as he wrote another note down.
" What is it Doctor? Is everything alright with the baby?" asked Lady Grantham worriedly.
" Yes, My Lady, everything is fine with your babies." smiled Doctor Clarkson.
" Oh, Thank you Doct- Wait did you say babies?!" ask Cora shocked.
" Yes, My Lady, you are having twins. I am going to put you on temporary bed rest. I will come back in a few days, and if everything is fine with the babies you will be able to come off bed rest " said the Doctor.
" Thank you again, Doctor." said Cora happily.
"You are welcome, My Lady." said the doctor as he left her with her thoughts on how to tell Robert they were going to have twins.
In the car on way back to Downton...
" I can not believe it! I knew you were you were alive, but why did you stay hidden for so long." Sybil questioned because her curiosity had gotten the better of her.
" I was sailing to Africa. The ship we were sailing on crashed into the rocks off the shore of Liberia . I fell overboard and I got amnesia. I did not regain my memory until about eight months ago." said James.
"Then he wired me and we got married five months ago. This time we used his real name instead of the albeit of Levinson." explained Martha.
Sybil was happy and surprised at the same time. She had always wanted to meet her Grandfather, (at least one of them), and now she had.
" Well I am very happy that you have regained your memory, Grandfather." said Sybil happily.
" As am I. said James to his granddaughter. " How is your Mother?" he questioned.
" She is well. Grandmama left the day after she found out Mama was pregnant. said Sybil as she held back a laugh.
" You failed to mentioned that fact, my Dear." said James to Martha.
" I figured you would notice when we got here." she said as they pulled up to Downton.
As they came into the house they saw Robert pacing.
"Robert stop pacing like that. It is making me dizzy." said an annoyed Martha.
" I am sorry. How was your trip?" asked Robert.
" It was fine. Ah here comes James. said Martha.
" Hello, Mr. Carrey. It is a pleasure to meet you. Wait a moment you are Mr. Levinson." said a confused Robert.
" Actually, Robert, I am both Levinson and Carrey. I was an undercover agent for the government, and Levinson was a cover." replied James.
" Oh, Would you like to see your daughter?" questioned a still confused Robert.
"Yes." replied both James and Martha at the same time..
Meanwhile outside...
"You did very well driving to the station today, My Lady." said Branson.
" Thank you, Branson. I will need you to drive me to Ripon tomorrow." said Sybil.
" Very good, My Lady. I will see you tomorrow then." he replied.
" Goodnight, Branson." said Sybil.
" Goodnight, My Lady." he replied.
