"Myself From Once Upon A Time"

Chapter Ten:

He should be grateful, glad and joyful that right after grabbing the phone, he was still able to prevent himself from collapsing from pain, and was even able to call for help.

With hoarse voice, he slowly and painstakingly told the Kuroko's residence. When the other line hung up, he too fainted on the ground.

Upon opening his eyes, he realized that he had arrived safely on the Hospital without even knowing that the ambulance already came. Flinching, he sat up on his bed and looked around. Looks expensive. He mentally commented and winced when his bandaged leg accidentally hit the corner of the bed. "Ow, shit." He cussed in shock. "What the fuck was that?" He growled and removed the blanket that covered his lower body. His eyes widened as memories began to flood right into his mind. Memories of moments just hours, perhaps, minutes ago. "K-Kuroko!" He gasped and tried to stand up, but ended falling back on the bed. "Darn it, I need to stand up…I need to find Kuroko."

His room's door opened. He raised his head and found Kyoko Kuroko's gentle eyes staring back at him. Those teal eyes that reminded him so much of his 'shadow.'

Kyoko sat beside him on a stool beside the bedside table before patting his head. "There, there, you must rest."

"…I…Kuroko-san…I…"

She smiled tenderly. "Oh, Kagami, you can call me Auntie Kyoko."

"A-Auntie…"

Why isn't she yelling at me? Why isn't she hating me? Why is she still smiling at me?

The way she looked reminded him so much of his partner that his eyes started to become teary.

He fought the urge to weep, but memories continued flowing right into his mind.

"Kagami-kun, pass it to me!"

"Look at my guns."

"You really want to be hand-chopped, don't you, Kagami-kun?"

"I will make you Japan's strongest basketball player."

"I am your shadow and you'll be my light. We will beat the Generation of Mircales together with Seirin."

"Kagami-kun, want half of my popsicle?"

"That's so unfair, Kagami-kun!"

"Cut it out or else I'll kill you, Kagami-kun."

"I'm so annoyed now. I might as well punch you again."

"Kagami-kun, thank you."

"Kagami-kun, head's up!"

"Kagami-kun, what are you spacing for?"

"Kagami-kun!"

As if his mind was playing tricks on him, an image of the teal-head giving him a smile played again and again right almost in front of him.

"Kagami-kun…"

He tried again to stand up. "I…gotta…save Kuroko…"

"No, Kagami, rest. Your body needs to—"

"But, Kuroko needs me!"

"W-What can we do with our current condition? How are we even supposed to find him?!"

His heart thumped loudly in his chest when guilt was clear right on Kyoko's face.

He fell on the bed again, hopelessly, worthlessly, uselessly and guiltily.

That was when he finally gave in. Tears continuously flowed down his cheeks. "Kuroko…! I was a failure…I failed to protect him…! I-I-I was there! I could have prevented this….I was so weak…So, so weak!"

Seeing her son's best friend weeping as this, she finally gave up on wearing her façade and let her sadness flow and pour down.

That was when the room was filled with nothing but cries of two people who just lost the most valuable person in their lives.

"Waaaah!" The Akashi's family driver, Kuruma Hajime, gasped as the car went into a sudden stop right in the middle of the isolated road to where the Akashi's manor was just blocks away.

Akashi, who was busily reading his advanced lessons, blinked thrice in surprise as his head almost rolled out his body. "What happened?" He mumbled.

"It seems like the car's engine went 'Boom' again, Young Master."

The way Kuruma explained stuff always bemused anyone in their family. Perhaps that's the reason why no one could seem to fire him even his manner of speaking to his masters was not that polite. He's a natural speaker, someone who didn't get the feeling of awkwardness upon speaking with nobles. "Alright then, I shall wait outside the car to breathe some fresh air while you fix that. I presume that not half an hour is enough?"

Saluting, Kuruma nodded. "Yes, Young Master."

Grabbing his phone, he went down from the back seat and leaned his back against the car's bumper. It was a nice day; the weather was neither too cold nor too warm. The wind was not that merciless that it blew softly against his skin. He breathed in the fresh air as the fallen leaves of the trees that surrounded him danced with the wind.

His shut eyes reopened upon hearing something he rarely heard. A car.

No, don't get him wrong. It was not that he was that noble that he never saw cars pass by before. It was just that this route was not a place you would want to pass through. For outsiders, their manor's route or the path itself was cursed. Once you're inside, you could never get out except if you were born there. It was as if only people who were born and lived there for years were protected by something so magical that others didn't see. And usually, except their family, people liked it more to walk when they used this route for it appeared to be safer.

"A car…!" Even Kuruma, who was so busy with fixing their car's engine, gasped as he raised his head and followed the car by the use of his eyes.

"A car, unusual, isn't it?" He commented and fixed his eyes on the car as well as it passed through.

As it passed by right beside him, shivers ran down his skin. He held onto his chest in shock and fright. When he looked back on the black unusual car, it was gone.

His eyes widened when slowly his eyes' blindfold was removed.

His blinked thrice before his eyes fully adjusted with the dim light that surrounded them. Where am I? He thought and gulped when he could almost hear his own heartbeat with the silence that enveloped them.

Sadaharu was right infront of him, his father leaned over and removed the earplugs in his ears. Despite this, he still couldn't hear a thing but his heavy breathing and thumping heartbeat.

The taller teal-head then removed the duct tape that shut his mouth all this time.

He tried to talk, but his voice wouldn't come out.

Crossing his arms, Sadaharu grunted, "What was that?"

He gulped and tried yet again, "I…hate…you…!"

In an instant, he was flying and in a blink, his back hit the corner of the table, which was oddly placed just a meter at his right. Grunting, he wanted so badly to squeeze away the pain, but then remembered that his hands were still handcuffed. He winced twice before he fully sat up again.

"I don't know what's up with you, but I never get to kill you. I tried many times, yet you never die. It's as if you're protected or something. It pisses me off so badly I just wanna pull the trigger right at your head." Sadaharu hissed and raised his chin. "But I want you to suffer first, of course. This is my revenge for what shame you and your mom brought me."

His scream didn't come out when his father grabbed a thick, long wood, and smirked. "I just hate you this much, son. Let me make you feel unloved." The taller teal-head murmured menacingly right beside his ear, and started to hit him at his legs.

Grunting, he turned into a ball and tried to shield himself from the devil that stood right before him.

Every smack of the wood echoed around the room where they were at. He gasped when Sadaharu let the wood make contact with his right ribs.

He flinched.

He gasped.

He growled.

He hissed.

But his father was having so much fun that it didn't seem to bother the latter when blood began to pour down his nose and mouth. The taste of the blood disgusted him, and he was ready to pass out when his father suddenly stopped, stood up and stretched.

"I feel so much better." Sadaharu mumbled in pleasure before looking at him over his shoulder. "You just thought you can rest now, didn't you?"

Gritting his teeth, he glared at the other.

With an irritated turn, Sadaharu grabbed two injections, which was miraculously placed on top of the table he stood before at just seconds ago.

He tried crawling away, but his father quickly caught up to him, and grabbed him by his hair.

"I hate you." Sadaharu whispered before throwing him on a corner of the room. Trapping him there, Sadaharu knelt and then grabbed one of his arms. Finding the right place, he quickly shot him the first injection, which contained a green-ish liquid.

For an unreason, his body started to feel weaker than he already felt, it was as if he would vomit any time soon and it was as if his mind became all fuzzy that he just wanted to pass out, but shockingly, he couldn't. His mind wouldn't let him collapse.

His father inserted the other injection which contained a blue-ish liquid. He gasped when he felt as if he wanted to jerk off. "Crap…" He cussed.

Laughing, Sadaharu stood up and went towards the door. "Have fun for the last ten hours of your life, Tetsuya."

With that, he was left alone in a soundproof room that only contained one metal door that's locked outside, a table with drawers and a chair. The room was so soundproof that he could hear his heartbeat. He gritted his teeth when everything came slamming on his poor brain.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed.

Save me…Anyone, please save me!

~LFMH021~

Kagami stood up with the help of a cane and glared at the setting sky.

"Kagami-kun, pass it to me!"

"You're my light, of course I trust you."

"I could not ask for a better light, Kagami-kun…"

"Thank you…Kagami-kun…"

He clenched his hands into fists, and grunted, "I'll save you, Kuroko."

He then started to walk towards the door. After succeeding, he twisted the doorknob and headed towards the elevator while the nurses and doctors seemed to be so busy with patients from other floor.

"Just wait, Kuroko…"

~LFMH021~

"Yay~ We're together again~" Kise exclaimed.

"Shut up, Kise. You're so noisy. I will throw you into the trash bin if you don't cut your tongue." Aomine threatened.

"Gaaaah! Aominecchi, why are you such a meanie?!"

"Cut it out, you two. Let's go pick up those two, so that we could decided if we would enterer the Street Basketball: Shoot for A Cause next month." The red-head commanded.

Midorima opened the door as the other six followed behind him.

"…But, I wonder where…" Hyuuga whispered anxiously.

"…I hope they're fine…" Tsuchida added.

"…They're not replying…!" Riko panicked.

"…They're our responsibility. Who else could be call?" Izuki grunted.

"…Kuroko's mom…?"

"…Nice idea!"

"Ne, Akashicchi…" Kise mumbled.

As he scanned his files, Akashi just raised an eyebrow.

"I think something's wrong with Seirin's team." Aomine added.

He looked up and gazed at where Seirin were positioned at. They surely all did seem distressed and disturbed.

"I wonder what happened." Midorima mumbled.

"It sure looks serious." Murasakibara commented.

"Where's Taiga?" Himuro murmured.

"Even Kuroko-kun's not there." Takao added in confusion.

"The two aces are missing." Akashi realized. "Tetsuya…along with Taiga? With Taiga…?"

Aomine glanced at him. "What is it, Akashi? What about that Bakagami?"

"As I remembered, I heard from the news that there was a student that was found injured a house with no apparent lead on who the suspect was. It was clearly Taiga who was featured there. I was pretty sure that he should be in the hospital right now." He stated and ran towards the court. The other six following right behind him.

Hyuuga turned. "Ah, the Generation of Miracles. If you're looking for Kuroko, he's currently not available and—"

"He's missing." Izuki pointed out.

"Izuki!" Seirin's captain scolded.

The Eagle-Eye owner frowned. "These people can find them! We can never do such! We don't know Kuroko as much as they do! Not because you don't trust them, you won't give them a chance!"

"It's not that we don't trust them…" Riko whispered.

Akashi turned to her with his icy stare. "It's just that?"

The brunette looked away before sniffing. "It pains me." She mumbled. "They're my members. Things are happening to them that we have no idea of. I feel like they're getting closer to you guys than they should be with us. It just pains me as their coach…"

"We don't plan to take them away. We never did." Midorima assured. "It's just that, perhaps, we have this kind of connection that we can never explain. It's as if we should be complete at all times."

Takao was about to comment when the green-head covered the latter's mouth.

Akashi turned, his jersey swinging along with the swift movement he just made. "I'll save him."

"Kagami—"

"My only concern has always been Tetsuya, and it will always be him." The red-head snapped and strode towards the doors.

"We'll take care of Taiga." Himuro butted in. "He's my childhood friend, he's my almost-little brother. I will save him, along with these people."

As the others bade their goodbye, Midorima grabbed a hold of the red-head. "Do you even have an idea where Kuroko is?"

He smirked. "Of course I do. Call Taiga. Tell him where we should meet. I'm pretty sure he has no idea where to even look." He ordered. The said green-head dialed Seirin's ace as the others remaining stood behind Akashi to eavesdrop. The latter leaned down and said to Akashi's family driver, Kuruma, "Remember that car that passed through before us?"

"The gray one? The one that can give you chills as it passes by?"

He smirked, yet again. Now, that's exactly why he's our family driver. "Yes. Do you have an idea where it went to?"

Kuruma blinked. "Uh, after dinner last night, I roamed and patrolled around the gates and saw the driver walk pass through thick bushes that seemed to hide something. Perhaps, I still do know where it went. Why, Young Master?"

The heterochromatic eyed opened the passenger's seat's door and sat down before slamming shut the door beside him. "Take us there, as fast as possible. There's a special mission given to me."

Kuruma nodded. He started the engine and urged the others to go in, "Hop in, you guys, whom names I still don't know. Don't ask me when and how I got here, I will just answer you with: 'I teleported.'"

With a less tension around the air since Kuruma succeeded with making some of them laugh, the trip started.

Everything depended on this ride.

Everything that Akashi valued depended on this mission's success.

Everything = Kuroko Tetsuya.

He clenched his fists and slammed the window right beside him. "Please, please, please be safe."

Everyone stiffened when the Akashi's phone rang inside his pocket. He took it out.

"This is Akashi Seijuuro." He formally answered.

"…Hello. I have information how to set up Sadaharu Kuroko and how to end all of this."

His heart thumped loud with the thing he just heard.

"Who exactly are you?" He grunted.

"I'm Kyoko Kuroko. Kuroko Tetsuya's mother and Sadaharu's wife. You're Akashi Seijuuro. My son's only reason to smile." She introduced. "Nice to meet you."

a/n: Ugggu! Uggggu! Uguuu! Buwah! Guwaah! Boomchakak!

By the way, I have surprises for you for the next updates I'll d, not only for this story but to those who are old and are just incoming.

PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW, IT WILL MEAN A LOT!

Sneak Peek:

Kuroko slapped his hand away. "Just let me die, so all of this will finally end! Just let me go!"

"As if I could do that! I'm not a mindless human, Tetsuya. I'm not a big moron!" He hissed.

"But, you don't care about me at all, right? So, w-why are you even here?" The teal-head sobbed.

"I don't care. Yeah, I don't care about you." He snapped, grabbed one of the phantom player's wrists and pulled him closer. He leaned down and captured the other's lips with his. "I love you. I love you, I was crying so much as we search for you inside that stupid empty house right beside this one! I was crying and I never cried!"

Tears sprung down Kuroko's cheeks. "Y-You said those words lots of times, but—"

He leaned down and enveloped his arms around the teal-head. He sniffed the teal-head's hair and tightened the arms that wrapped around Kuroko's waist. "I love you."

That was when he gave in and sunk into the tight embrace he wrapped in and cried in relief. I'm finally home.

"...suya…etsuya…TETSUYA! WAKE UP!"
