A/N: Yesss! I have found a way to update in China! Yay me!
A few days later...
"This... is incredibly stupid." Erika said, staring at the front.
"Definitely." Niimaru agreed, stony faced, yet slightly annoyed.
"Oh, just shut up, won't you?" Kitari hissed. "This could make us Chuunin! It's a big deal!"
Erika and Niimaru simply exclaimed looks that said: 'since when did Kitari become the mature one'? It was mind blowing.
"Since when did you become the mature one, huh Kitari?" Aoto asked, an eyebrow raised, voicing exactly what his other two genin students had just been thinking.
"Oh hush." Kitari said, his cheeks going bright red.
Aoto laughed, smiling. "The fact that you want me to shut up means that you know the fact that you're immature."
"We're here." Erika said, stopping at the third floor. "See you later Aoto-sensei." She added, before stepping into the room.
Aoto sighed. Absolutely NO respect... He thought in irritation. "Remember to be careful." He warned to boys, who were both shifting uncomfortably to either side, as though embarrassed by Erika's behavior. They probably were...
"Yeah, yeah, we know." Kitari said, sounding incredibly annoyed.
"This is the first rookie team to enter the chuunin exams for four chuunin exams in a row." Aoto interrupted. "Too much dying for their taste. They always trained more... but then..." He scowled darkly in a frightening way. "... that didn't always save their sorry hides, did it?" He smiled, then moved his hand in a lazy wave. "Well, have a nice time!"
His team... well, the two boys... were now officially scowling at him.
What did I do now!? He wondered.
"You can not be serious." Kitari said, slowly, angrily, rubbing his forehead in irritation.
"What did I do?" Aoto whined. "I mean, it's not like I just..."
"...most likely signed our death sentences?" Niimaru finished in calm irritation, raising an eyebrow.
"Well..." ...he couldn't argue with that... could he? Because, he probably did just sign their death warrants... no, they would pretty soon do that themselves.
Kitari sighed, but didn't laugh, even if just out of respect for his sensei. "You know." He said. "I think that we'll just go in."
Aoto just sighed. "Fine, go ahead."
Niimaru opened the door, and Kitari followed him. It shut with a silent, yet still somehow slightly audible click behind the two.
Aoto wondered. Was he really signing their death warrants? The first rookie team in for four exams in a row... yeah, they probably wouldn't survive.
Kitari, meanwhile, came in to see a lot of people sitting on desks. Wow... this is almost imitating... almost, mind you... but still... He was freaked. So much people... and most of them glaring at him too.
"Who's the squirt?" A mist ninja hissed. "I wonder if we could just kill him right away... one less person for the chuunin exams, mist boys?" The mist ninja was a female with short, cropped brown hair and a smirk on her features.
Kitari felt nervous and he shifted from side to side. "Well... um..."
The mist ninja laughed. "See? He's got nothing to say, just an um-ing little squirt. I say that we kill him here and now."
"No maiming allowed until the examiners tell us that we're allowed to, remember?" A voice asked.
The brunette whipped around to see Erika, walking towards them, a hand on her hip, and a look of irritation on her face.
"And who are you?" The brunette asked, looking annoyed.
"None of your business, is it?" Erika replied coldly. "Come on Kitari, you're wasting your time, what are you doing talking to such an idiot? Niimaru's waiting for you over at the side, let's just go."
"You know, pipsqueak, you should really learn to respect your elders." The brunette hissed, looking irritated. She took a step forwards, looking extremely annoyed...
"Stop it, Misato. We can deal with these shorties later... right now, you don't want to get us disqualified, do you?" One of her teammates, a blond with his hair spiked out in a bedhead, that looked messy, yet intentional.
"Fine." 'Misato' replied, gritting her teeth. "But only because you said it, Taiki." With one last glare at the genin team, she was silent.
'Taiki' turned to Erika and dipped his head a little down, as a sign of respect to her, even if only to one person of age to another. He looked to be about fifteen years old, roughly two years older than the others, who had all had passed their birthdays already since the graduation ceremony.
"I apologize for Misato's behavior." He said calmly, apologetically, even though he did have Erika's monotone type voice down nicely. "She's a little rude."
"You don't need to apologize for your teammate. Though I'm sorry if mines was bothering you." Erika replied, shooting a dark glare at Kitari that sent shivers up his spine. Then, she grabbed his wrist, her grip was hard and she dragged him off to Niimaru, who was leaning against the wall at the corner and talking to a white haired boy.
The white haired boy had his hair pulled back in a ponytail, bangs on either side of his face in an almost symmetrical fashion. He wore thin, black rimmed glasses and had a Leaf hi-ate on his forehead.
So. Kitari thought. He's a Leaf nin, just like us. I wonder if this makes us allies... or are we still enemies in these exams? It was something to think on. But who was this guy anyways? And why was Niimaru talking to him anyways?
Niimaru looked up from what looked like an interesting converation as soon as Kitari and Erika approached. The dark haired Nara brushed a few loose bangs from his eyes, though they just fell back down again in a slightly flattering way. "Hello." Niimaru said. "This is Kabuto. He's a leaf nin (Mr. Obvious) and thinks that he can help us."
Erika eye Kabuto with a watchful eye, looking as though she was sizing up the older boy. "How?" She asked.
"This is my third exam." Kabuto replied calmly. "And you're the first rookies in four exams. I know that you'll need help... so I can help by showing you some info on your enemy. Would you like that?"
"A ninja always needs an ace up his sleeve." Niimaru said. "So?"
"Deal." Erika replied, still eyeing Kabuto, who was beginning to squirm under the watchful gaze of the young Uchiha. "Though pardon me if I seem unimpressed by the fact that this is your third time here."
"Anyone in particular that you'd want me to show you?" Kabuto asked, shuffling some blank cards.
"Hey, just wait a minute here!" Kitari exclaimed indignantly, catching sight of this fact. "But you've only got blank cards, how can you show us?"
Kabuto smiled craftily, looking snake like somehow. "With my chakra, I can send it into these cards, so that these cards won't be showed to anyone, but me... and of course, people that I want to see what's on these cards."
"Give us proof." Niimaru said.
Kabuto shrugged. "Sure. Anyone in particular that you would like to see?"
"Show me a genin named Taiki." Erika said, her eyes narrowed. It was obvious that, though she wasn't much of a big fan of Kabuto, she still found his ninja info cards intriguing.
Kabuto pulled out a card, but it blank side up on the ground, then put his finger in the middle and spun it around. A picture, a chart, and some other stuff popped up onto the card. Sure enough, there it was, a picture of the blond haired boy with his hair spiked up like a porcupine.
"Taiki Huya, a mist ninja. His teammates are Misato Yakuno, and Enya Kiani. His Jounin sensei is Sachio Tsuki. His strength is genjutsu, and his greatest weakness is ninjutsu, which he has not been spotted performing." So. Kitari thought. He's like Erika's opposite... even if both are STILL painfully polite... "He has performed 57 D-rank missions..." Kabuto rambled on. "...and fourteen C-rank missions. He's been in the Chuunin exams before, but couldn't make it due to severe injuries, though he does seem pretty tough to me."
"Wow, then these chuunin exams must be really hard." Niimaru said nervously.
Kabuto laughed. It sounded oddly enough like a cat being strangled, and it was obviously a nervous laugh. "Yeah." He said in a low, quiet, odd sounding voice. "Those who failed... they can be considered by some the lucky ones. About three quarters of the genin you see here? They will fail on the first part on the chuunin exams. And then, more than half will be stalled or dead by the second half. And the third and final round?" Kabuto laughed that sad, nervous laugh once again. "If there's three teams still alive and there... well, let's just say, that I'm seriously impressed. Three teams is like maximum. Sometimes only one team even passes... with injured and weary people. If there's teams in the double digits, that is considered practically impossible."
Oh-kay... Kitari thought. So, I'm seriously creeped out... how can Erika be so dang calm!? Screw her. It was true. Erika was staring calmly at Kabuto, an amused expression on her face.
"You think that you can scare us that easily?" Erika asked, laughing. "Thanks Kabuto. You've been really nice, and I like you. But we're going to make it to the end of the chuunin exams. You just wait."
Just then, white smoke filled the room. Standing at the front were dozens, and dozens of mist ninja. And they didn't exactly look that nice.
"Hello." The mist ninja in the front said. "We are the mist chuunin. And from now on... your worst enemy."
(A/N: Yar, yar, yar. So-rriee if I am quoting, but I am! Deal with it!)
Erika hated tests. She hadn't scored higher than a C+ ever since the A+ she got after the massacre.
Great. She mentally groaned out loud. Yeah, mentally out loud. Sounded, crazy, didn't it? I absolutely
She remembered what the chuunin procter had said.
He had wearily eyed each of them, as though sizing them up. Erika had purposely slouched, as she felt no need to impress this guy.
-Flashback-
"Well?" The first procter barked. Everybody jumped, except for a few (including Erika) who had managed to maintain their cool. "Fine, if you're good and ready, then I will proceed to tell you the rules. There will be no question asking as you're taking this test-"
"No questioning!?" A boy exclaimed, sounding shocked. "Then what kind of a test IS this!?"
"-I would kindly ask you not to interrupt..." The proctor continued, shooting the boy a dark glare. "Good then. You begin with ten points... every time that you answer a question wrong, a point will be lost. You will all be judged together, as a genin team."
Groans of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" echoed throughout the examination room. Obviously each team had a slacker... everyone, that was, except for Erika's team. The Uchiha smirked slightly. Good think that my teammates aren't idiots, then. She thought, a smile on her face.
"Also." The proctor continued. "No cheating." Well, that just went without saying, didn't it? But the proctor continued. "Every time one of these mist chuunin catch one of you kids cheating, you'll lose two points. Once you hit zero points, well, you're team's out." He smirked. "Sorry."
-End of Flashback-
But... there was one thing that Erika was pondering. Why were only two points deducted when they were caught cheating? And why were these stupid questions so darn hard? She knew every answer from the textbook... she knew everything, her tutors had made sure of that! And yet...
WHY THE HECK WERE THESE STUPID QUESTIONS SO HARD! Okay, now was a pretty good time to let out a nice big scream...
...just kidding.
If a kunai was thrown at point A, which was fifteen kilometers from point B and it goes at seven meters per hour but the wind is heading east and the kunai is thrown to the... Oh, who could answer this question anyways? The only good option was to!...
...cheat.
That's it! Erika thought in shock. I. Have. To. Cheat. Who would have figured?
Erika smirked. But of course. Cheating was going to be incredibly easy...
"Sharingan." She murmured in a soft, quiet voice under her breath so that no one could hear. Heck, even she could barely hear herself.
Instantly, her eyes turned blood red, with two comma like irises in each of her eyes. The sharingan. Now, who looked like they knew all the answers? She felt a slightly wider, stronger, more tightly controlled chakra up to her front and left... oh, so the chuunin was trying to hide it?
Erika tried to hide a grin. Well, not good enough. She thought, pushing back her smirk. He probably didn't think that we could sense chakra to identify anyone... a chuunin in disguise. Of course. She kept watch over the corner of her eye... so if she could just copy the stokes... yeah. That was right. Of course! She thought. Yeah, because fifteen can't be divided properly by seven...
This was going to be easy, actually, now that she thought about it.
"Number thirteen." A voice called out. Erika whipped her head. It belonged to a long nosed, freckled chuunin who had a slight smirk on his face.
"No!" A boy, who, Erika presumed was number thirteen, protested loudly. "But- but- I didn't even cheat! I swear!" Two chuunin walked over to the protesting genin and picked him up by the elbows, and carried him out. With sighs of defeat, two sour faced genin stood up and left, walking as though every step pained them.
Erika almost felt pity for the lousy cheater, because by the murderous looks on the faces of his teammates?... Well.
Since that, cheating genin and their teams started dropping like flies. Thud. Erika spun around to see what was happening, and her mouth dropped open as she saw the kunai pinning down the sleeve of the genin behind Kitari, who was spun around a look of terror and shock on his face.
What are they playing at? Erika wondered. A kunai.. It had narrowly missed the poor guy's sleeve, for goodness sake!
"What the heck was that for!?" The pinned down genin yelled furiously, his face was beet red. One of the mist nin smirked.
"You're out." He replied calmly. Two mist chuunin walked over to the genin, but he shrugged them off.
"I can walk by myself." He snapped.
Erika quickly turned back to her page... for once in her life she was almost... Well... glad for the long, annoying dark black bangs that covered her eyes, which, we're, currently a bright crimson red. And... Done. She thought, smirking in satisfaction. And just in time too.
The proctor of the first part of the chuunin exams walked up, a wry smile on his face. "Time's up!" He barked loudly, his voice carrying on out throughout the room. "Come on you sissies, but down those papers, and stop squirming while you're at it!"
Silence.
"Are you ready then!?" He yelled.
More silence.
"Now." He said, his voice was now deathly quiet and low. "It is time for the tenth and final question. The rest of your question answers won't matter if you fail this. It's all... or nothing."
You could feel the tension in the air as you waited, Erika reflected. What could this tenth and final question be?
"But I'll be nice... If you want to drop out now, you can. Only one of you will pass, if you choose to answer this tenth question. Two of you in the genin team will not pass. So. Do you choose to give up, and stay a team or come back next year... Or would you rather stay?"
Wow. Erika thought. Whoever plans on staying is a total idiot. I repeat: Total. Idiot. Sorry Kitari, Niimaru, but honestly, I don't think that the chances are that nice anyways.
She raised her hand. Erika was the first. It had been silent, everyone waiting for somebody else to raise their hands, and declare themselves coward. She knew those kind of people. Utter idiots. You can't wait in battle... it just might take your life.
"You think that I'm going to stay?" She asked coldly, in her best Uchiha-ice voice. Then she laughed, an amused, unhappy laugh. "I thought that you told us to stick together. Teamwork, isn't that what you said? Teamwork. I remember my sensei stressing that point... but if you're going to split these teams apart, then that's just stupid, idiotic. You're placing your own foot in your mouth." The proctor pressed his lips together, but said nothing.
"Fine then." He said. "Go on ahead. If you give up, you and your team can go to that table over there." Erika stood up and marched over to a big brown table in the back. If I'm out, why should I stay back here? She wondered idly. I mean, if I'm out, I'm out, right? What's the big deal, huh?
Niimaru and Kitari both quietly stood up, their chairs squeaking across the floor, then pushed them back in, the chairs screeching across the ground. Slowly, shuffling, they made their ways back. Everyone in the room stared at them in still silence. It was as though time itself had stopped.
Then, they finally made it to the table, and it was as though something broke free. A slender boy with red hair and freckles raised his hand nervously. "I'm sorry... but like that girl over there said, I thought that you stressed teamwork. And I just can't go against practically anything that we've been taught." He stood up and walked to the back table, shoulders slumped, looking disappointed, as though he were about to cry.
"I guess that's the end for us then." A quiet, sad sounding voice said from the front right corner. It was the short haired brunette! Misato, if Erika remembered correctly. She pushed back her chair then sped quickly to the back, not even bothering to push back in her chair, which was pushed in quietly and unnoticedly by a chuunin off to the side.
Taiki pushed his chair back as well, and then put it back in slowly as though he was in no rush at all. He still carried an air of pride around him. By this time a few more teams had dropped out.
Finally, there was silence. Eleven teams had chosen to give up. Now, Erika reflected, there truly was such little people left. To think that they would be divided in half again, then have a couple chosen to become chuunin...? Now that was just sad, and utterly depressing. There was about twenty teams that still haven't given up yet. Mentally, Erika was disappointed that she wouldn't become a chuunin that time. Oh well.
"Is that all then?" The proctor's sharp voice came from the front. "Good then. To those in the back, on the tables... I'm sorry..."
There were sad, disappointed sighs and the people in the back looked very downtrodden.
"...if you hoped to get out of the chuunin exams that easily."
Waaahhh... wait, WHAT!?
"Those who chose to give up for their teammate's sake as well as their own? ...I'm proud of you. You're right. We did stress teamwork. I wanted to see if you really did care about your teammates, if you really did want to be still in a team, if you listened to us. Those of you who didn't give up? I'm ashamed of you. You were willing to put yourself ahead of your teammates, or maybe you were just too afraid of your teammate's reaction when you decided to quit. No ninja is allowed to back down for fear, because ninja face difficult missions every mission. You could die, every mission. So if you wanted to be still in, too bad. Those in the back, you can go on in the chuunin exams!
YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Erika mentally cheered. We're going to go on in the chuunin exams! So yeah, it was pretty awesome, wasn't it? Being chuunin was the second part of the ninja ranks. Like, pretty much all of the genin in the five hidden villages wanted to become chuunin. It was a step closer to whatever ninja dream they had, wasn't it?
Just then, there was a streak of quick, fast dark, sea blue shooting across half of the room and a chuunin with a blue chuunin vest over his chest came standing in the front of the room. With his right hand he pulled the black bandanna hat over his eyes, and smiled sadistically, in an eerie, crazy way. His left arm was pulled back, still in position.
"Hello." He said with a smile, pulling back his black bandanna into place. "My name is Atsuo, and I will be your proctor for the second part of the chuunin exams."
"He looks a little... well... crazy." Kitari whispered to Erika and Niimaru.
"Is he even sane?" Niimaru asked.
"I don't know... I heard that none of the proctors for the second part of the chuunin exams are even sane, you know... quite okay in the head." Erika whispered back, eyeing Atsuo carefully. "And judging from this guy...? I think it's probably okay to say that it's true."
"Well that's nice to know." Kitari had managed and accomplished being able to sound extremely sarcastic while he was whispering to them. "Totally comforting to know that fact."
Erika simply rolled her eyes at Kitari's comment. Obviously she didn't think that Kitari's comment was actually worth replying to.
"Oh yeah." Atsuo added, still smiling in that creepy, scary way. "I really hope that those of you who are going to make it into my part of the exams have strong stomachs... because if you don't, you're going to throw up before you die." He laughed again. "So, any of you still happy about continuing?"
"You're right." Niimaru whispered to Kitari. "I don't think that he's sane."
"Well, you just figured that out?" Kitari asked sarcastically.
"Kitari!" Erika scolded. "No need to be harsh."
"I don't like the sound of this." She heard someone moan.
"Well?" Atsuo asked. "Anyone still happy about going on? Guess not." He laughed. "Good. Hope you're prepared to sign your own death warrants, because trust me, you're going to. No backing out! Hope you don't die, and good luck!" With another flash of dark blue, he flashed out.
Kitari looked a mix between excited, nervous, and hopeful. "You know, I'm sure he's just exaggerating." Kitari said, though his voice sounded scared. It sounded more as though he was trying to comfort himself rather than him teammates.
"Sure." Nimmaru said.
"I think that I'm going to scream." Erika said, her face blank. I can not die! This was incredibly stupid.
They went out to see Aoto grinning, leaning by the outside door of the first chuunin part's building. "So." He said. "You passed! Don't die!"
"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" Erika screamed, running at him.
Aoto lost his grin and started running.
Niimaru leaned towards Kitari. "So, want to help him?" He asked.
Kitari looked at Aoto for a moment. "Nah."
Niimaru grinned. "Want to get some dango?" He asked.
"Sounds like a plan."
A/N: Okay, this is something I've never done before, so cut me some slack... please?
OMAKE: Dreams and Blackmailing of Team Aoto
As they neared Konoha, Aoto-sensei smiled. "So, who's ready for that spar that you guys said that you'd have?"
"Oh, no... no way." Kitari said. "You think that Niimaru and I are stupid enough to want to spar with Erika? Despite what we look like, Aoto-sensei, we're not prepared to sign our own death warrants... again."
Aoto looked triumphant though. "Ah, but if you don't spar... I'm cancel training for a month!"
Kitari gaped in horror. "NO!" He exclaimed. "You... you wouldn't do that Aoto-sensei! You couldn't! Not training!"
"Yes." Aoto said with a smile.
"NOOOOOO!"
"This is too troublesome." Niimaru said, yawning. "I'm not going to spar, Aoto-sensei."
"But if you don't, I'll take away your Shogi board!"
"Troublesome..."
"And your pieces!"
"I'll borrow someone else's, whatever."
"I'll steal all of the Shogi boards of the Nara clan for three months!"
"You can't do that... it'd be too troublesome." Niimaru protested, yawning as he spoke.
"AND the pieces!"
"You wouldn't dare..."
"AND I'll get permission from Lord Hokage himself to take away all the Shogi related things from stores and the citizens!"
"No way!"
"YES WAY!"
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Niimaru moaned.
"YES!"
"I'll spar... this is so troublesome..." Niimaru muttered, revering back to his normal self now that his precious Shogi boards were safe.
"You can't convince me." Erika said confidently.
"I'll steal your necklace."
"My sand protects it."
"I'll steal your family picture."
"It's locked in a taijutsu needed, ninjutsu needed, Uchiha blood needed, fingerprint needed, DNA demanded, genjutsu required, coded, locked, and lasered Uchiha safe where all the Uchiha secrets go." Erika replied proudly. "Also, it requires a voice activation, secret needed, key demanding, weight coded and height for the door into the upstairs."
"I'll get the Hokage to send you back to the Academy."
"He wouldn't do that. Having the Last Uchiha on your side is important for politics, and if he doesn't it's possibly that when I get promoted to Ninja I will become a missing-nin and turn against Konoha."
"That'd be scary." Kitari muttered.
"I'll... hmm... I'll help you with what you want to do! You're biggest dream!"
Erika stared at him incredulously.
"...You would do that?" She whispered in shock.
"Yep." Aoto replied with a firm nod. "I have no idea what your biggest dream is, but whatever it is, I'll help you to achieve it. I promise, on the word of the Aburame. And we don't go back on our promises."
"This is mean. Working on people's weaknesses like that." Erika told her sensei with a scowl. "Fine. We'll spar."
"Great! Let's head over to the training grounds!"
And they all went. When they got there, they all sat down.
"Let's refresh our memories and talk about what we like and stuff."
"Again?"
"You guys can be more open now that you know each other a little better. So come on. The deep stuff. I'll start... again. My name is Aburame Aoto. I still like cold udon and insects are God's gift to Shinobi. I hate using kunais and shuriken, and my hobby is training my insects, which are kikaichu. My dream is to one day find a new bug that would be awesome in battle. Niimaru?"
"Troublesome..." Niimaru muttered. "I'm going second again? Fine. My name is Nara Niimaru. I like sleeping, Shogi, and strategy games. My hobby is playing Shogi with someone decent, preferably my cousin Shikamaru, except that whenever I forget to change clothes he hasn't seen me in he doesn't recognize me. I think that he's just too lazy to see if it's me. I don't like it when he does that, and I really don't like work."
"Your dream? What is it?" Erika asked.
"My dream? Um... my dream is to... well... my dream is to become a creator of a... certain jutsu."
"What jutsu?" Kitari asked curiously.
"Tmkesadowsraladtngibletings." Niimaru mumbled.
"Huh?" Aoto asked, sounding confused.
"I want to make a jutsu that used shadows as a real and tangible element... I want to create jutsu that are able to make shadows the sixth main element. Like the five main ones, Katon, Fuuton, Suiton, Raiton, and Doton. It's already an element, like Hyoton, Enton, Jinton, Renton, Yamon, Suchiton. Ice, blaze, storm, dust, darkness, steel. But I want shadows to be more than that ...I want them to be something real."
Aoto smiled. "That's a wonderful dream." He said. "Kitari?"
"My name is Hyuuga Kitari." The boy said quickly, jumping right in. "I like training and unlocking Byakugun. I don't like Baiki." He scowled murderously. "My hobby is... is... is..."
"What?"
"Is... is... is..." Kitari muttered something very, very quietly in a soft under his breath.
"Don't tell me that you have a totally weird hobby that might totally freak us out..." Aoto moaned.
"What, Kitari?" Erika asked.
"My hobby's studying seals, okay?" Kitari mumbled.
"So?" Niimaru asked. "Troublesome. Okay, now onto the dream."
"Um... Iwnbcmaelmsedcreterevedtoycdrdeelhrm."
"You want to become a seals master, and one day be able to create a seal that will remove and destroy the Caged Bird seal without causing any harm to the user or artist of the seal and create no visible or spiritual brain damage and at the same time have it create no impact on your chakra?" Erika asked in shock. "That's a big dream."
"You understood that?" Niimaru and Aoto asked in disbelief.
"Duh." Erika replied, looking as though she was confused. "Didn't you guys?"
"Noooo..." Both sensei and student said at the same time.
"Oh." Erika shrugged, but she looked slightly put off. "Well, it's an awesome dream Kitari. If you want to do it, then go ahead! You should totally do it!"
The boy went red in the face. "...Thanks."
"Well, it's your turn, Erika." Aoto said with a big smile.
Erika took a deep breath. "Okay, my name is Uchiha Erika. I like you guys..." She glanced at Kitari. "...sort of." The blank eyed boy pouted. "And I also like daifuku with some miso soup and I'm okay with ramen. I don't like traitors..." Her face darkened. "Especially a certain traitor." She added with a scowl.
The boys shivered at her Killing Intent.
Then Erika instantly brightened, and not only the Jounin could tell that it was false. "My hobby is training with Hyuuga Hinata and going to Yamaka's Flower Shop to talk to some of my younger friends. M-my dream? M-m-my d-d-dre-e-eam... is... i-is..."
At this point Erika was stuttering so badly that she had to bite her lip to keep from screaming out loud 'what is wrong with me!?'.
She swallowed, and opened her mouth to speak but found that she couldn't.
"...Is?" Kitari prompted.
"Iwnorbldteetteothca, okay?" Erika mumbled.
"What?" Aoto asked, looking concerned.
"I want to rebuild the Uchiha estate, okay?" Erika asked loudly. "I want to make it once again the proud place that it once was... even if my clan is gone, I'm still here. The dignity and the pride of the Uchiha... it seemed to just disappear after... after... after..." She started stumbling over her words again.
"After?" Niimaru asked.
"After ithappened." Erika whispered. "I want to rebuild it. The crack from a kunai in the Uchiha wall, the shards of glass on the ground... the Uchiha pride is gone. I want to rebuild it.
Because I am the last Uchiha."
Soo... comments? Like it? Hate it? Please review... or else I'll get sad and cry.
