You know what? I'm not even gonna bother with typing an excuse. [insert excuse here] There we go!
Um...since I kind of owe you guys a chapter, I'm not going to be answering any reviews. However, I will say this, Thank you all so much for putting up with me and my crappy updating schedule. All your support is really appreciated and I've read every review, thanks just so, so much.
Percy felt like his heart had stopped. He couldn't even move. Annabeth was still crying in his arms though not as uncontrollably as before. He subconsciously pulled her closer to him as he thought. His body tensed. No, no that wasn't true. He set his jaw.
"Annabeth," He said tightly. "Your wrong."
Annabeths sniffles faded. "What?" She croaked. Percy swallowed hard and continued.
"They say they destroyed camp, but we would have known, wouldn't we? That's our home. We would have felt something." He looked into her gray eyes, so wide and glassy and fragile. She started nodding slowly and he took that as encouragement to continue. "Their trying to trick us," He continued. Anger began to warm his blood.
"They were probably trying to hurt us, or at least give us nothing to fight for." Percy had to stop talking. His own words were riling him up. He could feel his hear thudding against his chest and hear the blood roaring in his ears. He had to punch something, but when he looked down at Annabeth those feelings vanished.
She would never admit it, and she would deny it if anyone ever asked, but right now, she was broken. She'd been stressed ever since Percy went to work for Tony Stark and suddenly being kidnapped had stretched her nerves thin, and then severed them completely.
Annabeth slowly nodded. His words made sense to the daughter of Athena and Percy could see her resolve strengthening. She whipped away the remaining tears as best she could and straightened her back. Percy looked over at Leo to see him setting his jaw and sitting up straight as well.
Percy smiled wide. Now that they were over their mini heart attack, they could focus on escaping, waking up Nico and finding Clarisse and Will.
The last part wasn't going to be too hard. Just as Percy opened his mouth to suggest a plan, the door opened and the two missing demigods were very rudely shoved into the room. They too, had had cuffs placed on them. Like that would stop all six of them from creating a mess.
Will looked fine despite him looking like he wanted to scream. Clarisse had a bruise forming on her cheek and Percy could only guess she had gotten into another fight.
"Hey guys," Percy called with false enthusiasm. "So nice of you to drop in. Hey Will, do us a favor and awaken the sleeping beauty with a kiss."
Will looked at Percy in panic. "What?" He asked as he knelt beside Annabeth to look at the peacefully slumbering Nico. He put a hand on Nico's shoulder and his brow furrowed in thought. "He's been drugged." He said. "They must have either given him more of the stuff that knocked us out, or his system hasn't filtered it out of his body yet."
"So he'll be fine?" Annabeth asked. Will nodded and got into a more comfortable position on the cold metal floor. Clarisse kicked the metal wall before coming over to join them.
"This sucks." She snarled. Percy sighed, but he didn't say anything to her even though he really wanted to say 'No duh'. Instead, the son of Poseidon turned to Leo.
"Hey Leo, do you think you ca-" Leo shook his head wildly, cutting off Percy with one quick word.
"Camera's."
Percy shut his jaw with a snap. He had been about to ask if Leo had tried to unlock the doors with his powers. But now he couldn't do that. Unless...
"We can just speak in Greek." Percy said triumphantly. "They won't be able to understand a word!" He laughed and his friends just rolled their eyes.
"Percy, we know this." Annabeth said slowly but Leo just held up a hand.
"Let him have this." He whispered with a smile.
Percy stuck out his tongue. "Whatever. Anyway, Leo, did you try and get the doors open?"
Leo sighed and nodded. "Yeah, and I found out we're under surveillance but when I tried to open the doors, they electrocuted the room."
Percy frowned. "They're okay with electrocuting us?" He said tightly. "But we're kids! Aren't there, like, laws against that?!"
Annabeth scowled. "Percy, they think we're terrorists. Plus, they are a top secret government agency. They probably think they're above the law. Also, we are teenages. Not kids."
Percy stuck his tongue out at her. "Still." He sighed.
Nico groaned from where he lay on the floor and rolled over onto his side. "Shut up, you guys are being too loud." He mumbled sleepily.
"Nico!" Will crowed and scooped the young teen up into a hug. Nico attempted to look pissed, and he even opened one eye to glare at everyone else though he was smiling into Will's embrace.
"You're not dead!" Leo cheered in English. Nico frowned and dusted himself off as Will let go of him so he could sit up.
"No, and your not dead either. So how's 'bout a simple hello?" He said sarcastically. The entire group laughed, even stoic faced Clarisse gave a dry chuckle.
Percy grinned. "Well, we're all alive and in intermediate danger along with the camp. Just like old times, eh guys?" He asked Annabeth, Leo and Nico. Nico sighed along with Annabeth. Leo just laughed and fist pumped the air.
"Aw yeah! We get to shut this place down!" He looked up and blinked. "Oh, was I not suppose to say that?"
"No Leo." Percy replied bitterly. "That was just fine."
"Are we really planning on taking this place down?" Will asked.
Percy shrugged. "I just wanna get out of here. But if we could destroy this place, that'd be a bonus." He smiled broadly at Annabeth who couldn't help but smile back and give him a kiss on the cheek.
"They threatened camp. They need to be taught a lesson." Leo said darkly, he even rubbed his hands together like a mad scientist about to destroy the world. Everyone nodded in agreement.
Annabeth leaned in, and everyone fallowed her lead. "You guys are right, and this is how we're gonna do it."
I hate this chapter. A lot. Like, really, really bad.
