Innocent Love Chapter 10: Innocent Wedding

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Today was the day that Tsubaki had been waiting for ever since her childhood days with Jin. One that she longed for ever since her feelings for the Kisaragi boy was figured out.

Her wedding day.

The wedding hall was abuzz with excitement and activity as guests invited by the groom and bride poured into the building. Friends and acquaintances from all over were gathered here to watch the union of the childhood sweethearts.

Although as much as she was looking forward to it, she was also nervous as all hell.

Tsubaki paced around her dressing room with nervous energy radiating off of her. A normal sight considering this was a HUGE day for her, unlike any before. But now that it had finally come, she was jittering with nerves and questions.

"What if something goes wrong?" She asked herself as Makoto and Noel tried to console her. "What if I trip? What if I forget my vows? What if he stands me up at the altar!?"

"Tsubaki calm down!" Noel said as she managed to sit her best friend down. "Jin is not going to stand you up."

"But how do you know that!?"

Noel sighed and placed her hands on Tsubaki's shoulders. "Tsubaki, listen to me. Jin loves you with all his heart. Why would he suddenly not want to marry you after he proposed to you? He is going to be there to marry you once the wedding starts, have no doubt about that."

Tsubaki took a few deep breaths to calm himself and smiled at her blonde friend. "You're right. I'm sorry Noel, but with all the people who came here, Litchi not being here yet to help, and my own fears, I've just been a bit stressed out. But hearing you say those words means a lot to me, it really does."

"But Tsuki has a point." Makoto said as she adjusted the top of her bridesmaid dress. They might have looked good but it left no room around her chest, making it a bit uncomfortable. "Where is Litchi anyway?"

Noel shrugged a bit as she tied Tsubaki's hair into a ponytail. "She said she had something to discuss with Bang and Linhua before they came here to help." She placed a pin in her hair to keep it from falling. "I'm sure she'll be here soon."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"Guys!" Linhua called as she finished getting dressed and started running down the stairs. "I'm ready to go."

When she had made to it to main lobby of Litchi's clinic, she saw both Band and Litchi dressed up for the occasion. Bang in a suit and tie while Litchi, who was looking a bit uncomfortable, was wearing her bridesmaid dress. "You ready to go to the wedding?" Linhua asked as she pulled her purse over her shoulder.

"Linhua, there is something that me and Bang have been meaning to ask you for a while now." Litchi said as she walked next to her ninja. "I know this may be sudden in us asking this but we please hope you'll consider it."

Linhua cocked her head in confusion. "What is it?"

Litchi gave a deep breath in and out as she walked to the girl and placed her hands on her shoulders, giving her a gentle look. "Linhua. Would you let me and Bang adopt you as our daughter?"

Linhua's grew grew wide in shock at her words as she stared at her mother figure with disbelief. "...What...?"

Litchi's soft look never left her face as she continued. "Linhua, you are a kind, lovely young woman who I have had the pleasure of knowing and you mean the world to me but I feel as though we could be even closer if you become a member of my family officially. I know you are still a bit sad over what the NOL did to your parents, but if you let us adopt you, we can at least try to provide you with as much happiness as we can."

Bang walked up to the pair of women and gave them a winning smile. "Of course you wouldn't have to call us 'mom' or 'dad' if you don't want to. But we truly want you to be a part of the future that me and my Litchi hope to create together." Bang offered Linhua his hand, his smile never fading from his face. "So how about it Linhua? Want to be a family?"

The girl tried to open her mouth but words failed her as her eye sight began to grow watery with tears. The tears started to stream down her face as she suddenly lunged forward and wrapped both Bang and Litchi in a hug. She nodded her head in a rapid motion, signifying her joy at the suggestion. "Yes!" She said through her tears of joy. "I want to have a family again!"

Bang chuckled with delight as he patted Linhua's head. "Then it's settled, from now on, you are our adopted daughter!"

Litchi bent down slightly and gave her new daughter a kiss on the forehead. "Well come now, dry those tears. We shouldn't be late for the wedding after all."

Linhua nodded her head and wiped the tears from her eyes with her hand. Once all nice and dry, she walked beside her new parents outside the door to get to the wedding hall.

"Ugh, I feel like a monkey wearing this damn tux." Ragna complained as he readjusted the tie around his neck for the umpteenth time. "Honestly I shouldn't be wearing something like this."

Jin rolled his eyes as he adjusted his own tie properly. "Come on brother, you only have to wear a suit on a few occasions, this being one of them."

"I know, I know but damn. If this wasn't so tight around the body I'd be fine. It feels like a anaconda is wrapping itself around me!" Ragna said as he thought to himself. 'That damn old dog probably screwed up my measurements on purpose!'

"Bit of an over exaggeration don't you think?"

Ragna shook his head vehemently. "Trust me Jin, this is no joke."

Jin sighed and waved his brother's worries off. "Just try to think about something else and you'll be fine. Now, you have the rings right?"

Ragna nodded and brought out two small boxes from his pocket and opened them in front of him. Sure enough, there were two beautiful gold rings, one of which had a diamond in it. And not some other fake gem that happened to look like it, nope this was a bona fine diamond in this ring. "Man you really pulled out all the stops for your girlfriend/wife." Ragna said as he showed his brother the highly pricey rings. "How much did this even cost you anyway?"

Jin shook his head and closed the lids on the boxes. "Not important, money's value means nothing compared to how much I value Tsubaki."

Ragna nodded his head in agreement. "Fair enough but still you better not be begging me for money once this whole thing is over, cause I just make enough to keep me and Noel content."

"That's fair." Jin agreed as he patted Ragna on the back. "Now let's go see how everything is going."

The two brothers opened the door to the male dressing room and walked out to the main hall. Greeting them was the sight of all their friends and acquaintances mingling with each other and having fun. They quickly located Tao who was busy stuffing her face with all the table snacks while Carl, dressed in his own small tux tried to pull her away so others could eat. Kokonoe and Tager had shown up as well, much to the surprise of Jin as his relationship with the pink haired cat girl was barely above strangers, but the more the merrier as they say. Hell even Nu and Lambda showed up too, both dressed in a dress of their signature colors. But what really shocked the both of them was the sight next to Nu. Azrael, the Mad Dog, bane to the powerful and weak alike, dressed in a tux while remaining perfectly civil even though many people looked extremely uneasy around the large man. Ragna shook his head in disbelief and looked at the groom. "Hold up for a bit Jin, I HAVE to check this out." He said as he began walking towards his former stalker and her blue haired 'friend'.

"Isn't this party fun Az?" Nu asked as she gave a bright smile to the Mad Dog. "Nu has never seen this many people here before!"

Azrael nodded his head in agreement. "I agree. This is the first time in a long time where I've been in a large crowd where I haven't attacked anyone. Or killed anyone. Or paint the walls red with their blood."

"That's quite nice Az." Lambda said as she gave him a semi mocking pat to the back. "If you want to, I can see if I can get you a cookie to reward your good behavior." Okay, the mockingness in that statement was very unfiltered.

Azrael's face grew a bit angry, but he eased himself for the sake of both Nu's sake and the sake of not being sent to prison again for a massacre. "No Lambda, I wouldn't want to be a bother." He replied tactfully. "And don't call me Az!" He added as a side note.

"Oh I'm sorry." Lambda said with a bow. "I forgot that only Nu can call you that."

"Exactl- wait no! Not even Nu can call me that!" He yelled at the Murakumo girl.

Nu pouted a bit at this statement. "I can't?"

Azrael looked at the girl and felt a bit sorry for saying that. "No Nu... ugh you can call me... Az..."

Nu then cheered up as she jumped on the man with joy. "Thank you Az!"

"Hehehehe. Look at you 'Mad Dog'. Yielding to Nu's pout. Some blood hungry monster you are." A voice from their right said. They looked to see Ragna smirking while walking towards them.

"Ragna!" Nu yelled with delight as she hugged him. "Nu's happy to see you. In a non romantic way of course."

Ragna slowly patted Nu on the head. This was weird, no doubt about that but he didn't really mind it as weirdness was pretty much normal in his everyday life. "Yeah, nice to see you too Nu."

"You should watch your mouth Ragna the Bloodedge." Azrael said as he cracked his knuckles. "Unless you want a broken skull." Azrael's dark aura began to glow around his body, making people move away from the man.

Nu gave the blue haired man a steely look before slapping him upside his head. "Knock it off Az!" She chided at him. "No hurting people while we're here!"

Azrael rubbed his head in discomfort. "Geez fine! Damn..."

"Boy you sure are whipped Azrael." Ragna chuckled as the blue haired demon gave him another death glare. "Normally people have to be married to get this sort of treatment."

"I'm warning you..."

Ragna's smug feeling of laughing at Azrael's predicament came to a halting stop when Lambda slapped him behind the head. "Knock it off Ragna!"

"Ouch..." Ragna groaned as he rubbed his head before realizing who slapped him. "Wait... LAMBDA!?"

The said Murakumo girl waved her hand in response. "The one and only."

"But you... Terumi stabbed... How did... Nu is..." He rambled while pointing between both sisters. "HOW ARE YOU BOTH HERE AT THE SAME TIME!?"

"Easy Ragna." Lambda said as she placed a hand over his mouth. "No need to have a seizure. Professor Kokonoe rebuilt me."

"But how did she-!"

"Don't question science Ragna." Lambda said, as though ending the conversation. "Some things just can't be explained easily. Just accept them and move on, even if it is a very good question."

"But-!"

"No."

"But you-!"

"Stop."

"Please just-!"

"I said no!" Lambda yelled as she stamped her foot on the ground. "I'm not gonna explain how this works! Just accept it and we can move on with life!"

"Fine god!" Ragna groaned as he gave up the argument, but he did have one question that she could answer. "When did you get so snarky?"

"What can I say?" she giggled innocently. "I just have a knack for giving people the business don't I?"

"You really do." Tager said as he walked up to the four of them, dressed in a snazzy tux. "Though I don't believe this is the place for snappy comebacks or any of your maximum sass."

Lambda rolled her eyes in response to the light scolding. "Yes dad, I'll be on my best behavior."

"Heh you are quite the hand full aren't you Lambda." Tager admitted as he adjusted the glasses on his face. Something, Ragna noted, that he seemed to do on a regular basis. "But I know that you are a breath of fresh air in our lives. It makes it worth it to wake up in the morning to see you chewing out Kokonoe for her cleaning habits."

Lambda gave a delightful giggle at her father figure's words. "Thanks, though I do wish she would at the very least pick up those annoying candy wrappers. Seriously they get everywhere. Even behind her desk."

"Well if you're doing that good at cleaning my mess, that means your doing your job." Kokonoe said as she pushed past Tager to make her presence known.

Lambda's eyes widened as though she just remembered something important. "Hey Professor, what about my pay?"

"Say what?"

"My pay." Lambda said again. "I've been working for you as your maid for three weeks now and I haven't received one form of a paycheck." she then pointed to Tager. "I know that Tager gets a paycheck but why don't I get one."

"Well for starters, you live in Sector Seven with free food, running water, a place to sleep and do whatever you want so I think that would be enough." Kokonoe explained to the Murakumo girl. "Why do you even want a paycheck anyway?"

Lambda's gaze suddenly shifted. The floor looked a lot more interesting at this moment. "...ugs ho.."

"What? Quit mumbling and say it."

"For my bug collecting hobby!" she suddenly blurted out before clamping her hands over her mouth as a few people looked in her direction in confusion. Her face turned red as she looked away from their gazes. "I... I wanted to get some money so I can buy jars and food for the little bugs I catch in my free time..." she kicked an imaginary pebble in front of her as she continued to stare at the ground.

"That's it?" Kokonoe asked as she placed her hands on her hips. "Geez if that's all you wanted why didn't you just say so?"

"Eh?"

"We'll talk about this later so for now just enjoy the party." Kokonoe said as she dragged Tager away with her. How she did so with a gigantic man like that was anyone's guess.

"So Ragna!" Nu said as she grabbed at his right arm. "Where's big sis Noel? Nu wants to see her really bad!"

Lambda too flanked Ragna at his left side with a smile. "Yes I haven't seen Noel in all the time in which I was brought back so I wish to see her as well."

"H-Hey! Get off me you two!" Ragna said as he tried to get his arms free from the two sisters. "People here might get the wrong idea!"

Lambda quirked in eyebrow in response to Ragna's statement. "What are you talking about? We're just two girls hugging the arms of their future brother-in-law. Nothing to be mistake for anything else."

"Yeah." Nu chimed in with a giggle. "Our future big brother is just showing us where their sister is!"

Ragna gave the sisters and unbelievable look. 'Future brother-in-law!? Where the hell did that come from!?' Sighing, he shook his head and pointed to the women's dressing room. Although doing so was kind of difficult as Nu didn't want to let go. "She's over there helping the bride get dressed or something now could you guys let go? Kinda losing the feeling in my arms over here.

Lambda nodded her head and let go of the arm. Nu did so as well, although with a bit of reluctance. 'Old habits seem to die hard.' Ragna thought wryly as they both entered the dressing room.

It wasn't all that hard to find Jin after his encounter with the Murakumo sisters as he was spotted helping Carl in his efforts to keep Tao from eating all the food.

"Meow!" Tao meowed as she tried to fight the grip of the two blondes. "Why are Ice Guy and Shorty teaming up on Tao!?"

"Because!" Carl said as he tugged at Tao's waist yet again. "All that food is for everyone, not just you!"

Tao tried to wiggle out of the grip they both had on her but to no avail. "But Tao barely had any!"

"Two tables!" Jin said sharply as he pulled her arms back from grabbing anymore. "You've had two tables worth of food already!"

"But Tao is still hungry!" she wailed as she drolled at the food in front of her.

Carl shook his head and moved around so he could look the Kaka in the eye. "How about this Tao. If you stop eating until after Jin and Tsubaki get married I'll buy you some ice cream."

Tao's movements suddenly stopped as she looks at her short friend expectantly. "With rainbow sprinkles and chocolate chucks on it?" she asked with an innocent smile.

Carl nodded his head. As soon as he did so, Tao stopped fighting him and Jin and sat in a chair. "Okay then Shorty!" She suddenly declared. "Tao swears she will let other people eat for some sweet, sweet ice cream, meow!" she gave a salute to the two blondes and sat in her chair as she looked around at all the other people.

Jin sighed with relief as the food crisis was averted. He didn't know why Litchi had asked if Tao could come, probably because she was a close friend or something. But as long as she was going to keep her word on not eating anymore food until after the wedding then he supposed that she could stay.

Jin looked to the entrance of the hall to see the final guests on the lists arriving. Bang, Litchi and Linhua entered the building, all dressed well for the occasion. The trio walked up to the man of the hour and greeted him with a smile. "Greetings Jin." Bang said as he clasped the man on the shoulder. "Such a fine day you've chosen for a wedding."

"It was more Tsubaki planning the day." Jin admitted as he remembered how determined she was that the day be perfect. All the time she spent studying the weather, decorating the hall and the such. Honestly Jin would have settled for anything, he wasn't much for the flashiness that came with events like this. But it was for Tsubaki so he would be supportive of her wants and needs.

"Speaking of the bride, is she still getting dressed?" Litchi asked as she looked around for the red haired bride.

Jin nodded his head and pointed her to the direction of the girl's dressing room. Litchi thanked him and entered the room.

Litchi was greeted by the sight of a very radiant looking Tsubaki in her beautiful wedding dress having her hair brushed by Makoto while the Murakumo sisters chatted idly with their sister Noel. The doctor closed the door behind her and walked towards the bride. "Hello there Tsubaki." she greeted, gaining the woman's attention. "Sorry I'm late but I had something that needed to be taken care of."

"No worries Litchi." Makoto said with a smile as she put down the brush. "You're just in time to start helping us apply a bit of touch up to the bride to be!"

Tsubaki turned around a bit in her chair and looked at her friend with confusion. "Make up? I thought Litchi said I didn't need that stuff."

"True I did say that. However." she then picked up a small bit of eye shadow and opened it with a smile. "A little pinch of it here and there never hurt anyone."

"Yay!" Nu cheered as she grabbed a bit of blush from the table. "We're gonna help the bride!"

"Don't go crazy Nu!" Noel warned as she grabbed some eye liner. "Remember just a touch."

For the next few minutes, Tsubaki was subjected to being treated as a make-up doll for the three bridesmaids and the two extras that came in on a moments notice. It took a lot for her to not squirm under the focused attention to her face and the judging looks of her friends. But thankfully, it was over in a matter of minutes and the girls looked overly ecstatic about their work.

"Okay Tsubaki!" Makoto announced as she turned her chair around to the mirror in the room. "What do you think of the work we put in?"

To say that Tsubaki was both surprised and genuinely touched at her friend's work would be an understatement. Although the make-up the applied was light, it made her face shine brightly like that of a perfect porcelain doll. "You- You guys... I love it..." Her eyes became glossy as tears of joy threatened to spill out.

"No don't cry Tsubaki!" Noel cried out as she waved her hands in front of her. "You'll make the make-up run and look bad."

Tsubaki closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she let the tears sink back into her eyes. When she opened them, she smiled at her friends. "Thank you all so much. I can never repay you for doing all this for me."

"Eh don't sweat it." Makoto said coolly. "It's the least we can do for the both of ya."

Noel nodded her head in agreement. "Anything for my best friends. I'm just so glad to see you two get married."

While this moment was definitely nice, all good things must come to an end. In this case, it ended with a very familiar yell of "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE!?"

"...Was that Ragna?" Tsubaki asked out loud to no one in particular.

Noel sighed and started walking towards the door. She swore to herself that if someone ruined this day for Tsubaki, there would be hell to pay. Even Ragna wasn't immune to this rule if he started something. "Hang on girls, I'll be right back."

Tsubaki made a movement to get up but was stopped by her beastkin friend. "Just let Noelle go. She has that look on her face."

"What look?" Nu asked with an innocent cock of the head.

Makoto's face turned solemn in a slightly over dramatic manner. "She may be smiling on the outside, but on the inside, she's a hurricane waiting to be unleashed."

And that was all she had to say on the matter.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Everyone in the entire wedding hall was staring at Ragna as he pointed at the uninvited guest. One Rachel Alucard who had quite literally appeared out of nowhere, Ragna being the first one to notice her.

Rachel flipped her hair in a haughty fashion. "Is that anyway for a man to address a lady?"

"Like you can be called a lady you condescending little bit-!" The rest of Ragna's insult was cut off as the vampire backhanded the man to the floor.

"Watch your mouth you pile of trash!" Gii yelled at the fallen man. "No one speaks to the Princess like that!" A sudden hand grabbed the magic familiar by his face before being stretched like a squishy toy. "Princess why!?"

"Nobody was asking for your opinion Gii." Rachel said harshly as she tossed him aside to the floor. "Now then Ragna, I do believe you owe me a favor and I wish to redeem it now."

"What favor? The hell are you talking about Rabbit!?"

"*Ahem*" A voice said, making it's presence known. "What are you doing to my boyfriend Rachel?"

Everyone turned to see Noel walking towards the two with a serene smile on her face. While everyone looked unfazed as Noel's arrival, Ragna visibly paled at her look. He knew that look, the same that promised pain if anything went against her. Rachel sensed a sudden chill in the air as Noel sauntered towards her and shivered slightly.

"Well well, if it isn't little Noel Vermilion." Rachel said as she managed to compose herself. "Just the woman I wanted to see. I have a favor to ask the both of you."

Noel's scary serene smile disappeared and was replaced by a look of confusion. "A favor? What is it?"

"I am well aware of yours and Ragna's relationship together." Rachel started off as she gave a faint smile towards the girl. "And as such, I would like to ask for me to be the Godmother of your future child."

Both the NOL gunner and the Grim Reaper turned silent for a moment as they just processed what the vampire girl had just said. When it finally clicked, Ragna was the first to respond.

"What the hell do you mean by that Rabbit!?" Ragna said with a red face. Whether it was from anger or embarrassment was unknown.

Rachel flipped her hair in a haughty fashion. "It means exactly what it means. Should you and Noel conceive a child together, I demand to be the Godmother."

Noel looked both nervous and embarrassed. Nervous at Rachel's statement and embarrassed at the candid way Rachel was talking about her having a child with Ragna. "W-Well Rachel, I'm not against the idea, but why drop it o-on us so suddenly?"

"Unfortunately, my loyal servant Valkenhayn has tried to go behind my back to separate my contact with you. So I do believe this will ensure that I am still a part of my other servant's life."

"One: I'm not your servant. Two: Why should I even consider this?" Ragna asked heatedly.

Rachel gave a knowing smirk. "Because, I feel as though you are entitled to give me such a blessing because of my assistance in helping you and Noel get into a relationship."

Both Ragna and Noel couldn't believe their ears when Rachel said that, but they both had one common thing to say.

"WHAT!?"

"Did she say she's responsible for Big Sis and Ragna getting together!?" Nu exclaimed at this new found information.

"The plot thickens." Azrael remarked dryly.

Lambda elbowed the blue haired man in the ribs to silence him. This was turning out to be like one of her day time television dramas that she recently found to love and she'd be damned if the Mad Dog would ruin this moment for her. "Shush!"

Ragna's face went from incredulous to serious in a second as he sauntered up to the vampire princess and glowered at her. "You better explain yourself now bunny leech, or else I might get angry."

Rachel rolled her eyes and took a step back. "For starters, please use oral cleansing products before speaking so close to me. Your mouth smells like a graveyard."

"Grr..."

"And I shall now begin my explanation."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

*flashback to that fateful day*

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Rachel walked through the streets of Orient Town as she enjoyed her stroll. It was a very rare few days of peace so she decided to go out of her graceful castle and enjoy the day, much to the worry of her faithful servant Valkenhayn. She assured him that all would be fine as Nago and Gii always accompanied her.

"Such nice weather today princess." Nago stated in his umbrella form. "The sunshine feels soooo good on me."

Gii nodded his head in agreement. "He's right princess. The sun is nice and warm while the wind is breezy making the weather rather mild and enjoyable."

"Thank you for the obvious observations you two but I shall keep you as you are Nago. As you know prolonged exposure to the sunlight makes my skin irritated." Rachel said as she continued her walk across town. As she sauntered through the quite little town she heard a sudden yell break the silence.

"Don't call me that!"

Curiously, Rachel walked through a small alley way to see the Eye of the Azure, Noel Vermilion, talking to Ragna the Bloodedge. "Now this is interesting." What was going on here?

"Why? It's what you are. I just call them as I see them, stupid." Ragna said plainly.

'Oh dear. There he goes antagonizing poor little Noel.' Rachel thought as she watched the scene. 'As if the girl didn't have enough problems as it is. I believe some punishment is in order here for Ragna but what?'

"I AM NOT STUPID!" Noel suddenly yelled as she launched her foot forward to collide with Ragna's head. Rachel recognized his attack as Noel's Spring Raid technique. Normally, it would send a person skyward into the air if the hit was successful. The vampire girl found this to be a perfect opportunity for punishment. Just as the kick made contact with Ragna's chin, she sent a burst of wind against his body, sending him spiraling towards a lamppost. His head smashed into the metallic lamppost as a comedic ding sounded. Noel stood still for a few seconds before starting to freak out over what 'she' had done. Seeing as how her work was done, Rachel turned around with a smile on her face as she continued on her walk.

"Um Princess?" Gii said as he finished processing the events that just took place. "Why did you do that?"

"To teach that bore a lesson." She stated simply. "He must learn to act his age and not insult women."

Nago pursed his mouth in thought. "But I thought you didn't have a high opinion of little Miss Vermilion?"

"I don't. But she is a woman nonetheless and she should be treated as such." Rachel clarified for her familiar. "Now come, let us continue our walk."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

*Back to present day*

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"Now I believe that should answer all your questions Ragna." The vampire girl sad with a smile. "Now, do we have a deal?"

Ragna stared blankly at Rachel for a few moments before making eye contact with Noel who shared his expression. Soon the pair regained their senses and walked away from their 'matchmaker' and began talking in whispered hushes. After another few moments passed, Ragna went up to the vampire.

"Fine Rabbit. You can be our kid's Godmother. IF we decide to even have a kid." Ragna said, adding emphasis to the last part.

Rachel smiled and gave the man a curtsy. "Thank you Ragna, you shall not regret your mistake."

"I better not."

"Now I shall take my leave of this place." Waving her hand, Rachel summoned a portal. "Please give my regards to the bride and groom will you?"

Noel nodded her head. "We will Rachel. Take care."

With a small smile on her face, she walked through the portal, her familiars following her through it.

"Well that was certainly an episode." Carl stated after she left.

Bang nodded in agreement. "I agree, quite the bombshell she dropped on the couple. But it's over now and we can get back to the festivities!"

Although there was still a small ting of unease, the festivities indeed did continue as planned. Many people continued conversing and having fun. Although there was some who weren't having as much fun as others.

"Ugh, remind me why I have to be here again?" A white haired man wearing a red overcoat with gold and green eyes exclaimed out loud with a childish groan.

A blonde haired woman dressed in a lovely sky blue dress with a sword attached to her hip poked a finger into the man's chest. "Look I don't want to be here anymore than you do but I came here just to make sure nothing bad goes down." She crossed her arms in a huff. "It seems that whenever Tsubaki is involved with anything, trouble starts almost immediately." She also gave a derisive look towards the man's outfit. "I still can't believe you wore that to a wedding."

"There was no way in hell I was gonna wear a monkey suit for something as stupid as a wedding." The man countered back. However a quick punch to the gut from the lovely young lady shut him up as the man keeled over in pain.

"What did I say about cursing with that dirty mouth of yours?" she growled lowly as she picked him up by the head.

The man looked away from the lady's eyes. "S-Sorry Val."

The girl let go of him as he landed on a heap on the floor. "That's what I thought."

"But seriously, why did you even ask me of all people to come?" the man asked. "Why not Tatsuo?"

"Tatsuo was busy and this place doesn't allow pets so I couldn't bring Shiro here." The girl known as 'Val' simply explained.

The man gave Val an indignant look. "So the dog was more of a priority guest than me?"

"Yes."

"...That's hurtful you know..."

Val rolled her eyes at his act. "Oh get over it Asura, you big baby. Look at it this way, I can keep an eye on you and make sure you aren't getting into stupid fights."

The man now known as Asura glared at Val. "Is that suppose to make me feel better?"

"Not at all."

Asura sighed and sat down in a nearby chair. "I really hate how brutally honest you are sometimes Valkyrie."

Valkyrie only gave the man a condescending pat on the head. "Deal with it."

Asura sighed once again and placed his head into his hands while letting out a groan of boredom. 'Well it could be worst.' he thought to himself. 'I could be fighting a raging psychotic, fire breathing woman.'

"Everyone please quiet down!" Bang shouted through a microphone. Everyone ceased their activities and looked at the tuxedo wearing ninja. "It is time to start the main event! Would all the guest please take their rightful seats near the alter!"

All of the guests began to pour into their respective seats as Jin and Ragna made their way to the alter where a middle aged man in a priest robe stood. Jin smiled and walked towards the man and patted him on the back.

"Thank you again father." Jin said to the priest. "I cannot thank you enough for blessing our wedding like this."

The man let out a hardy laugh at Jin's words. "Don't worry about that. If anything you should thank me for convincing that old fool Satoshi Yayoi to let you marry Tsubaki. I swear I'll be glad once he steps down and a better Yayoi can lead them. I think Tsubaki will do a great job at that. Still can't believe that old mule didn't want to come to the wedding..."

"One step at a time father. For now let's focus on me marrying her." Jin said.

"Right, right. I'm getting ahead of myself." the older man looked at Ragna and gave Jin a questioning look. "By the way, who is this young man? Don't believe you ever mentioned him."

Jin quickly composed himself before looking at his father again. "Father, this is my long lost brother Ragna. Ragna, this is my father Abel Kisaragi."

If Ragna was shocked, he managed to hide it pretty well as he shook the older man's hand. "Nice to meet you."

Abel gave a hardy laugh as he shook the feared man's hand. "So who would have thought that Jin's brother was that upstart 'Grim Reaper' everyone's shaking their pants over. If you ask me your doing the rest of the Duodecim a favor by knocking down the NOL a peg or six."

Ragna stood dumbstruck at this information. Not only did Jin's father knew who he was, he was CONGRADULATING him for his actions of terrorism against the NOL!? "...Say what now?"

"Oh don't try to play me for a fool boy, I'm up to date with everything." Abel said with a smirk. "But don't worry, you'll get no trouble from me. Now why don't we get started?"

Before Ragna could respond to anything, a small group of people began playing the tune of 'Here Comes the Bride' on their violins.

Everyone turned to the door to see it open with a flourish of camellia petals as Tsubaki entered the room, holding a bouquet of camellias with Noel holding up the train of her dress slightly. Linhua walked behind them as the flower girl, scattering Tsubaki's favorite flower petals around as she moved to the altar as well. Makoto and Litchi then followed behind them, like Noel, they were wearing their bridesmaid dresses.

Jin stood awestruck at his soon to be wife's beauty as she made her way to the top of the alter with a small smile on her face. Before he could open his mouth though, his father cut him off.

"Dearly beloved!" he started off strong, getting everyone's attention. "We are gathered here today to witness the marriage between Jin Kisaragi and Tsubaki Yayoi. As Tsubaki and Jin give their vows to each other this day, we are privileged to witness the joyous love of a new family. A family that will be nourished and nurtured through the devotion of two separate individuals growing together their bonds of love." He stopped for a second to smile at the both of them. "May their marriage bring them peace, joy, comfort and contentment that is known in the hearts of all of God's children. And may Tsubaki and Jin both look forward to each new season of their marriage just as the world looks forward to each new season of the year. For all seasons bring with them their own special moments and memories. As with any good marriage, a strong bond of friendship, love and trust will keep your marriage fast and true. Your love for each other will only grow stronger every day. But to truly LOVE another person is to be willing to accept both their strong and weak points with equal understanding and respect. The vows you are about to exchange will serve as a verbal representation of the non verbal emotions that are as real as anything that can be seen, heard or touched. For it is not the words that you will speak today that will bond you together as one, but the strength of the love and commitment found deep within your souls." Abel looked at his son and gave him a small nod before continuing. "The bride and groom shall now recite their vows to each other. Jin, you may speak first."

Jin sighed, letting all the nervousness pour out of him and he softly grabbed his love's hands with his own and looked her dead in the eyes. "Tsubaki, I will admit for the longest time that we knew each other, I was blind to the feelings of romance you carried for me. When we first met as children, I looked at you as I would a sister, a look of caring, protectiveness, and understanding. But as we grew older, spending more and more years together I began to realize that my feelings of love were starting to evolve from friendship into true romance. And even through I was branded as a brave hero who could face any challenge, I could not bare to tell you how I felt in fear of rejection. So I put up a more distant mask and tried to keep you at arms length but that was foolish of me to do so. It is thanks to the support of our friends that I allowed myself to lower my guard and let you in and I am forever grateful to them that we have become what we are today. I promise that as long as I draw breath, I shall love you every day and night. I would sooner let the world burn before any harm is placed upon you my love, Tsubaki Yayoi"

Abel nodded his head with delight at his son's words. "Truly beautiful. Now Tsubaki, you may speak your vows."

Tsubaki's grip on her bouquet of flowers tightened slightly as she steeled her look of determination onto Jin's eyes. "Jin, ever since I knew you as a child I had always loved you. From the days we spent playing together, the lost summer nights collecting fireflies, to the days we helped each grow as both fighters and people. I will admit, there was a time where I grew frustrated at you for not noticing my feelings sooner and my frustrations only grew a bit more when, through my shallow jealously, thought that one of my best friends Noel held feelings for you. But I still held out hope. Hoping that soon you would realize that I loved you. And then that fateful day came when my best friends sought to help me out in showing you how I truly felt and I thank them everyday for it. Jin, by loving me, you let me feel what being special was like, to have someone to love more than anything else in the world and for them to love me back. I swear that I shall love you above all others Jin Kisaragi."

The crowed awed at the affection of the bride and groom. The degree that they loved each other to was unfathomable and it was very apparent. Ragna allowed smile a smile while Noel teared up immensely out of joy for the friend.

"Now that the vows have been recited, I shall now ask you a simple, yet binding question that shall anoint you two together forever. Jin, do you take Tsubaki to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you honor her, laugh with her, cry with her, be faithful in good times and bad, in sickness and in health for as long as both of you two shall live?"

"I do." Jin said with absolute conviction.

"Tsubaki, do you take Jin to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you honor him, laugh with him, cry with him, be faithful in good times and bad, in sickness and in health for as long as both of you two shall live?"

"I do." Tsubaki said, never more sure of anything else in her life.

Abel turned to Ragna. "Does the best man have the rings?"

"I have the rings." he said simply as he handed Jin's father the two golden rings. Abel gave the bride and the groom their rings, both of them taking the time to put the ring on their respective ring fingers.

Abel smiled hugely as he opened his arms wide. "Then by the power vested in me by the citizens of Orient Town, I now pronounce you to the world as husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride!"

Needing no further encouragement, Jin lifted the veil off of Tsubaki's face and kissed her with passion. The crowd erupted with joyful cheering at the union of these two. Makoto was starting to bawl with joy out of the sheer beauty of the moment. Though it took a bit of doing, Carl managed to calm down his girlfriend as her sobs of joy were brought down to an occasional sniffle.

"You better promise that when we get married, our wedding better be as happy as theirs if not more. Alright Carl?" Makoto whispered into his ears.

Calr's entire face went red as that statement as he studdered to give a response. "O-o-o-of c-c-course M-Makoto!" he managed to blurt out.

"Oh Carl!" she squealed as she hugged him tight. "You're so adorable when you're all flustered!"

The rest of the wedding party was a memorable day. Jin and Tsubaki cut their wedding cake, courtesy of Sena with some mild help from Luna. The newly weds shared their first dance together along side their other friends who danced with their significant other. As the sun started setting, many of the guests had left to retire for the night, wishing the Kisaragi's much happiness with their union.

"As much fun as the day has been Tsubaki, I'm feeling very tried from all the excitement." Noel said as she let out a loud yawn to signify her point. "I think me and Ragna will head home for the night."

"I think me and Carl will do the same." Makoto said as she carried a sleeping Carl on her back. "It was a whole mess of fun Tsubaki. I hope you guys have a happy life together."

Bang nodded his head in agreement. "It was a very memorable day indeed filled with love and excitement. But." he the pointed to Linhua who, like Carl, was fast asleep in a chair near Litchi. "I do believe we need to get home as well."

Tsubaki gave a soft giggle at her friends and smiled at them. "Don't worry you guys, go home and get your rest. You guys deserve it after making this day so memorable for me and Jin."

Makoto nodded her head and gave a wink to the newly weds. "Well then see you around Tsubaki Kisaragi. Try not to keep each other up all night on your honeymoon." Seeing as her work was done at witnessing their blushing faces, the beastkin promptly left the building to go to Carl's place.

Noel and Ragna then left as well, wishing them a good night before Bang and Litchi left as well, with the ninja carrying the sleeping Linhua over his shoulder.

"Well now that we are alone, shall we head back home to get ready for our honeymoon?" Tsubaki asked as she hugged Jin's side.

A small, yet happy smile donned on Jin's face as he nodded in agreement. "Let's."

The two left the wedding hall holding each other's hand as they entered the world now as Mr. and Mrs. Kisaragi. As the door slammed shut, it had awakened a sleeping figure in the dark, her bright red eyes suddenly darting around everywhere.

"Huh!? Who? What? Meow!? Where did everybody go meow!" Tao asked in the emptiness of the wedding hall. "AND WHERE IS TAO'S ICE CREAM!?"

Her cries of ice cream went unanswered as Tao prowled around the area, looking for her beloved frozen treat.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Many weeks had passed since the wedding of Tsubaki Yayoi and Jin Kisaragi. After their honeymoon they had called all their friends for a 'very big announcement' as Tsubaki had put it. Sure enough in good time, their friends had all come to see what the fuss was about.

"I want to thank you all for coming here on such short notice." Tsubaki said to everyone. "As you all know, me and Jin had recently come back from our honeymoon and we discovered something that made my heart swell up with joy. So without further ado, behold!"

With that being said, Tsubaki had pulled out an item from her pocket to show to her friends, many of whom became either shocked or excited from what it said.

It was a pregnancy test. It's reading; positive.

"You guys." Tsubaki started as tears of joy welled in her eyes. "I'm goning to be a mother!"
