AN: Hallo again, loves! I'm back. Been a while, huh? I'm finally getting around to doing stuff. My teacher asked when I'd have the next chapter to her today during class, so I kinda started getting back into the whole 2p mode. Needless to say, my other teachers weren't too happy with me after that, because I did sort of snap back into habit of acting like 2p!England and it bothers them, apparently.

To those who reviewed:

zoewinter1: ...it's Matt. There is no reasoning behind what he does, same goes with Allen. Just...I dunno.

hetaliarp: I'm glad you think so. And thanks! I caught that after I posted it and was too lazy to go back and change it. So...yeah. Mum. And actually a lot of Brits do use 'Mother'. Not often, mind, unless they're in a higher up family. But yeah..rare. I'm just not paying much attention, yeah?

Guest: (Chapter 2) Thanks!
Enjoy.

The following morning found Oliver in a rather sullen mood when he entered the school building.

Allen caught him. "Mornin'."he greeted softly, giving a sly grin.

Oliver gave him a look. "Good morning."he commented softly, carefully turning in Allen's grip.

"So, did they figure it out?"Allen asked after taking a closer look at the expression on Oliver's face.

Oliver nodded, frowning down at the floor. "The first time in years they've paid attention to me and it was to tell me I was a freak."he grumbled.

Allen frowned. "Hey. They don't matter, 'kay? Fuck them."he commented, voice much softer than normal. "Besides...you don't need them. You've done a brilliant job of taking care of yourself from what I can tell. You'll be perfectly fine. It's their loss."

Oliver looked up, meeting his eyes. "Really?"he asked, uncertainty decorating his voice.

Allen gave him a look before glancing up. He thought for a moment before meeting Oliver's gaze again and speaking. "You've managed so much in the short time I've known you. You are the only person who knows this side of me. And you're still alive. That's got to say something, considering how your parents treat ya."he said, trying to word what he was saying delicately so as to not upset Oliver further.

Oliver nodded quietly. "Thank you."he murmured.

Allen shrugged. "Don't mention it."

Just then, the bell rang, dismissing everyone to first period.

Oliver sighed.

Things were back to normal by lunch. Oliver was back to his cheerful self and Allen was back to teasing him softly in between truthful comments.

Oliver had become used to this kind of routine. He had to admit, it would be weird for him if he didn't have that going on now. He'd grown too used to it do handle the silence.

After the two finished eating, Allen spoke. "So..are you going to introduce me to your brother anytime soon?"

Oliver frowned in thought. "He won't be coming by until Christmas break...but...sure."he said softly.

Allen smiled faintly. "You think we'll make it that long?"he asked curiously. Most people didn't think it would make it that long. Even Matt had his doubts. Allen understood why, he supposed. The two of them weren't exactly anything alike. It was definitely a weird pairing, but...he liked it. They balanced each other out, brought out the best in one another at times.

Oliver gave him an odd look. "Yeah."he replied. "Don't you?"

Allen shrugged. "I don't know."he admitted. "I hope so, though. Because I'm so beyond comfortable around you. I don't want to lose that..I don't want to lose you."

Oliver smiled faintly. "You're turning sappy."

"Oh, shut up."Allen complained. "I can't try being sweet sometime?"

"I never said that. It's just...weird."

Allen rolled his eyes.

The days before Christmas break came around were full of a lot of drama for everyone. Allen and Oliver had several falling outs, but they were never too bad. Finally, the last day before break, Oliver came into school with a bright grin and gave Allen a tight hug. "Allistor said he'd be there when I got home! Want to come meet him after school?"he said brightly.

Allen laughed faintly. "I suppose so,"he commented.

Oliver grinned. "Good!"

Allen gave him an amused look and turned slightly to pick Oliver up in a hug of his own, spinning him in a circle, causing the Brit to let out a surprised yelp before he started laughing.

Once Allen set him back down, he leaned down and stole a quick kiss, effectively cutting off Oliver's soft laughter.

When he pulled back, Oliver's wide eyes met Allen's. "W-what...?"he stammered.

Allen smiled faintly and shook his head. "We'll discuss this later,"he promised, winking once.

Oliver gave a soft smile and walked away, letting Allen return to his conversation with Matt.

Matt gave his brother an amused look. "Well, well. What's this? You two really did make it, huh?"

Allen flipped him off. "Told ya we would."

Matt laughed. "Oh, shove off. Ya gotta admit it's surprising."

Allen shrugged. "Maybe so..but...whatever."

"Yeah, whatever.."Matt grumbled. "That's definitely a 'whatever' thing."

Allen ignored this as the bell rang. He gave Matt a look. "Cover for me with Ma and Pop, will ya?"

Matt nodded and headed to his class.

Allen rolled his eyes and headed to class on his own.

It was the start of a pretty decent day, he had to admit. Though he couldn't help feeling a bit nervous about meeting Oliver's brother. Maybe it was just him not being used to that kind of system.

And I'm still working on getting back into the 2p characters' personalities. Anyways...yeah.
