When the article came out Rita claimed to be attacked by a dark creature when trying to interview Harry Potter. That caused Aurors to show up during breakfast.
"I surprised it took an article from her to make you show up" said Evangeline seeing them
"You are under arrest for attacking Ms. Skeeter" said Auror Dawlish
"You have no authority to arrest me" said Evangeline getting up
"We have been authorized to deal with dark creatures" said Dawlish
"You may have that, but you have no authority over me" said Evangeline walking down to them
She threw a letter at Dawlish who caught it and read it. His eyes widen after he finished reading it.
"You have diplomatic immunity and been given carte blanche to deal with threats to your students" exclaimed Dawlish
"Yes" said Evangeline smirking
"Ms. Skeeter tried to kidnap one of my students and I showed her why that was a bad idea" she said holding out an ice sword
"You can leave now" she said shooing them with her hand
She then turned around and let go of her ice sword going back to her seat. The Aurors left the Great Hall dejected.
Sometime later Fred and George stopped in front of Harry in a hallway and knelt before him.
"We surrender" said Fred waving a white flag
"We can't prank you" said George
"You have been trying to prank me" asked Harry
"Since when" he asked
"Since what happened in the Great Hall" said George
"I haven't noticed" said Harry
Fred and George looked down dejected at that.
The Saturday before the First Task a notice went up about a Hogsmeade weekend.
"What is Hogsmeade" asked Nodoka
"A village near the school" said Evangeline
"That's it" exclaimed Haruna
"Yes" said Evangeline nodding her head
"It is exciting to go somewhere new after spending all your time here" said Harry
"I guess we have been spoiled at Mahora" said Konoka
"What is there to do here" asked Chao
"It might have changed since I have been there last, but there are four popular places there but only two of them would be of interest to us" said Evangeline
"Honeydukes and Three Broomsticks" she said
"They are a sweet shop and a pub" she explained
"I take it they have nonalcoholic drinks" asked Setsuna
"Yes" said Evangeline
"What are the other two" asked Nodoka
"Madam Puddifoot's, a place for lovey dovely couples" said Evangeline disgusted
"There is also a joke shop" she said off handily
They all left Hogwarts and went down the path to Hogsmeade. They saw it was a collection of cottages.
"It looks like a medieval village recreation" said Yue looking around
"Expect this is a real village" said Evangeline
"It looks like it hasn't changed at all" she said
They all went to Honeydukes and went inside before they started looking around.
"Are they really made from blood" asked Harry looking at the blood pops
"No" said Evangeline shaking her head
"There are supposed to be blood flavored and they even got that wrong" she said
Once everyone was done picking out the candy that they wanted, Harry paid for all before Evangeline took them to the Three Broomsticks. The girls went to get a table while Harry and Evangeline got the drinks. They came back with a tray full of tankards and set it down on the table before they sat down.
"What is this" asked Chao taking a tankard
"Butterbeer" said Evangeline
Chao took a sip of it and her eyes widen.
"This is really good" said Chao
"Can we buy some of this to sell" she asked
"No" said Harry shaking his head
"It illegal to sell magical items to non-magical people" he said
"Oh well" said Chao shrugging her shoulders
Konoka opened one of the chocolate frog packages she got, and it jumped out away from her. She grabbed it out of the air and broke it in half and saw it was just chocolate that she started eating. Haruna took a white bean out of the box she got and threw it into her mouth. She then started choking on it and spit it out.
"Why did that taste like soap" asked Haruna disgusted
"How did I know that" she asked
"Because that was probably its flavor" said Harry
"They are charmed so that you will know what you are eating" said Evangeline
"Why would they have a flavor like that" asked Yue
"It's in the name" said Harry
"You mean the name is literal" asked Nodoka
"Yes" said Harry nodding his head
"You will find a lot of that here" said Evangeline
"Harry" said a voice
Harry looked towards the voice and saw Hagrid coming up to them.
"Hello Hagrid" said Harry
"Why haven't you come to visit me" asked Hagrid
"I have been busy" said Harry
"He has two curriculums to learn" said Evangeline
"Why don't come visit me tonight" said Hagrid
"Come at midnight with you cloak" he said
He then walked away.
"Can he be more obvious" asked Mana
"That is the problem with Hagrid" said Harry
"He is too naive and trusting" he said
"A dangerous combination" said Kaede
"We are coming with you right" asked Konoka
"Of course," said Harry
Once it came to near midnight everyone activated their pactio. Konoka dismissed her white robe and Harry gave her a black one to wear. Harry put on his invisibility cloak and they all snuck out of the castle. They went down to Hagrid's hut and Harry knocked on the door.
"You there Harry" asked Hagrid opening the door
"Yes" said Harry
When Hagrid came out Harry saw he was wearing what passed as a suit for him with a giant-sized flower on it.
"What did you want Hagrid" asked Harry
"Follow me and stay under your cloak" said Hagrid
"I got a surprise for you" he said
"What is it" asked Harry
"You will have to wait and see" said Hagrid
He led them to the Beauxbatons Carriage and knocked on the door. Madame Maxine came out of the carriage dressed up more than usual as Hagrid butchered French saying hi. They both then set off around the perimeter of the forest with Harry and friends following them. They walked for a while until they came to a clearing that was hidden by the forest. There were four pens set up and they saw fire shooting up out of them.
Mana and Nodoka jetted up into the nearby trees and took out their Electrobinoculars. They saw each pen held a dragon.
"It's dragons" said Mana
"How are dragons safe" asked Konoka
"They are safer than what they had before" said Evangeline
"I don't think I want to know what makes dragons a safer option" said Yue
Mana took a closer look into each pen and saw dragon eggs in each one of them.
"There are dragon eggs in each pen as well" said Mana
"They must be nesting mothers" she said
"That makes it so much safer" said Setsuna sarcastically
While they were listening to Charlie Weasley tell Hagrid what breeds of dragons they brought, Haruna picked up something on her motion tracker and fired a stun bolt at its location.
"What is it" asked Chao
Haruna slowly walked up to it with her blaster pointing at it and saw it was the Durmstrang headmaster.
"It's the Durmstrang headmaster" said Haruna
"He must have come to spy as well" said Kaede
"We can't have that now can we" said Konoka
She walked up to the Durmstrang headmaster and used the Force to erase what he saw and made sure he wouldn't come investigate again. To cover up why he was outside, she had him take a walk and trip over a hidden root.
"Time to go" said Harry
They all crept away from the clearing and snuck back into Hogwarts and their room.
The day of the First Task came, and all afternoon classes were canceled for it. After lunch everyone went down to the stadium that was built for the First Task, where the pens were previously, while Evangeline went to the Judges Table and Harry went to the Champions tent.
He went inside and saw that Fleur was looking less composed and paler than usual. While Krum and Cedric paced around nervously looking everywhere.
Bagman walked into the tent holding a bag and proclaimed "Welcome Champions"
"In this bag are models of what you will be facing" he explained holding up the bag
"Each model will have a number on it denoting the order you will go in" he continued
"The goal of the task is to collect a golden egg" he continued
"That will give you a clue to the next task" he finished
"So, it is a retrieval task" thought Harry
"That will make it much easier" he thought
"But whoever thought taking an egg from a mother dragon is safe needs to be shot" he thought
"Ladies first" said Bagman holding out the bag
Fleur stuck her hand into the bag and took out a Common Welsh Green with the number two on it. Fleur got a determined look on her face while Krum and Cedric gained shocked and scared looks on their faces. Cedric took out a Chinese Fireball with a number one on it. Krum took out a Swedish Short-Snout with a number three on it.
"Figures that I would get the most dangerous one" thought Harry
Harry stuck his hand into the bag and took out the Hungarian Horntail with the number four on it.
"Let's start with Mr. Diggory" said Bagman
Cedric shakily followed Bagman out of the tent. Harry sat down and closed his eyes. He then started listening to the play by play that Mana was giving him.
Cedric froze at the sight of the Chinese Fireball. He tried to use transfiguration, but it didn't come out very good and was burned badly by the dragon and had to be taken out of stadium. That caused him to get no points.
Fleur charmed the Common Welsh Green to sleep and got the Golden Egg. But on her way back the dragon snored and set her skirt on fire that she had to put out. She got high amount of points since she got out mostly unscathed.
Krum didn't freeze when he saw the Swedish Short-Snout and shot a curse at the dragon's eyes causing it to writhe around in pain crushing its eggs. Krum was able to grab the Golden Egg and get out while it was doing that. He got docked a lot of points for destroying the dragon eggs though.
It was finally Harry's turn and he walked out into the stadium. The Hungarian Horntail was curled protectively around its eggs glaring at Harry.
Harry just pointed his wand at the eggs and shouted "Accio Golden Egg"
The Golden Egg flew out towards Harry and he caught it in the air before leaving a stunned audience in the stadium.
