The apology:
It was the night of the talent show, and everything was about to fall into place...
Principal Figgins: Next up in the McKinley High Annual Talent Show, you know them, you love them, you fear them, the Cheerios!
Roz Washington: OK, Cheerios, this is it! Show time!
Bree: Oh yeah! Time to show them why we always win this!
Roz Washington: Wait, where's T-Flame?
(Tyger enters wearing the mascot head.)
Tyger: I want to take this off! I look ridiculous!
Bree: No, you can't! We discussed this! It's part of the routine! If you take it off, everything will be completely ruined!
Tyger: If you guys were ever my friends, you'd let me not wear this!
Bree: As your best friends, we forbid you!
Tyger: OK, that's it. (he takes of the helmet to reveal that his braces and glasses are gone.)
Bree: OMG! You're amazing! What happened to your braces and glasses?
Tyger: I went to the orthodontist to get my braces off and then, he told me that if I wear a night brace for the next 6 months, then my teeth will be OK. And I only needed my glasses for a few days because I had a minor eye infection.
Bree: OMG, why didn't you tell us? You're so one of us now!
(the Cheerios agree by saying 'Oh yeah' and 'So perfect'.)
Tyger: No! I am not one of you, and I never will be!
Bree: What do you mean by that?
Tyger: What I'm trying to say is; I'm not perfect. Nobody is. And you guys... are not my friends!
(he throws the mascot head back to them and walks away.)
Bree: Wait, where are you going?
Roz Washington: Yeah, you can't just leave us!
Tyger: Oh yeah? Peace out, sucker! Adios!
(he walks away.)
Tyger made the right decision after all and quit the Cheerios for good, but he owed the New Directions an apology...
Marley: OK, we can do this. We rehearsed all week. We can win this thing!
Mr Schuester: Excellent, Marley! OK, everyone, hands in and say 'Champions!' on three, ready!
New Directions: ONE, TWO, THREE, CHAMPIONS!
(Tyger knocks on the door.)
Tyger: Hey.
Tina: Tyger, you're back!
(she rushes to him and endlessly hugs him.)
Tyger: Yeah, I came back, and Tina, could you please let go of me now?
Tina: Right, sorry! (she lets go.)
Unique: What are you doing here, anyway?
Jake: Yeah, shouldn't you be on stage with your fancy little Cheerio friends?
Tyger: They are NOT my friends, and I know you guys aren't anymore, which stinks for me, because, you guys were pretty awesome after all.
Artie: Wow, that's kind of nice.
Tyger: Yeah, well, I buried the Cheerios for you, so have a good time on stage tonight! Good luck.
(Tyger goes to exit.)
Marley: Tyger, wait! If we decide to let you back in, you can't bail on us before a big show.
Tyger: Oh, I won't. I'll be 100% committed, I promise!
Marley: Great! What do you think?
(the rest of the glee club agree.)
Mr Schuester: So it's settled! Tyger Gonzalez is back!
(they all clap and cheer.)
Artie: OK, but Tyger, you're not going to wear that ridiculous mascot head on stage, are you?
Tyger: No way! That is out!
Mr Schuester: Well, we're on in 10 minutes, so why don't we let Tyger get changed and get out there with a show-stopping performance?
New Directions: Yeah!
