No matter how coldly Hermione had been treating Draco, all she wanted was to be with him. If what Pansy had told her was true then being with Draco was the worst thing she could do, but she was starting to really doubt the Slytherin girls words. It was true Draco had never really been attached to the girls he was with, but no, Pansy must be lying.

In the Great Hall during dinner, Hermione kept getting the feeling someone was watching her, but couldn't tell who it was. She quickly chanced a look over towards the Slytherins, and Draco, for the first time in weeks, caught her eye and held it. Her initial reaction would have been to turn quickly away, but instead, she gave him a small smile and a wave. When she turned back she saw Ginny watching her, and she tried to mask her guilty face, but was pretty sure she failed.

As Hermione was walking back to the common room after dinner Ginny, as she assumed she would, stopped her and in a slightly annoyed voice said, "Why, if you like Draco, didn't you tell me?" Laughing Hermione questioned back, "How was I supposed to know you would take it well?" She was so happy to have found someone to confide in about Draco that she didn't hear the footsteps that were rapidly approaching.

Just as she was saying, "I like him so much Gin, but what about Ron?" Ron himself came to a very sudden stop, having just come around the corner.

A/N Just so you know this might turn into a Blinny as well.
