Lucy woke up Saturday morning sore and tired. Everything ached but the most pain was come from the somewhere inside. She walked downstairs to find her mother already dress with the cars keys in her hand.

"Wha." Lucy said

"Lucy we going to have a girls day out so I can get you ready for the dance." Her mother quickly replied.

"Ummmmmm ok." Lucy said as she walked back upstairs. She pulled a sweatshirt over her head and put on a pair of blue jeans.

Her mother was already in the car.

"So where are we going?" Lucy asked.

"It's a surprise." Layla told her puzzled daughter.

Lucy did not have to wait long for the answer because they stop in front of a building. Lucy stepped out and read the sign "The Oasis".

"What is this place?" Lucy asked

"It spa." Her mother answered as the stepped inside. There was no one at the desk so Lucy mother rang the bell. Someone stepped out from the back. Lucy mouth dropped open "Juvia." she said.

"Lucy." Juvia replied looking puzzled.

"You two know each other." Lucy mother said.

"Yeah she goes to school with me." Lucy answered her. "You work here?" Lucy said turning towards Juvia.

"Yeah kinda of my family owns this place." Juvia stated.

"Oh."

"What room do you guys want?" Juvia asked.

"We wanted the Spring room please." Layla answered.

Juvia lead to the back, Lucy mother step in.

"Ooooo nice."Layla said stunned.

The run looked like an just like Japan in the spring. There was cherry blossoms tree paint beautiful on the wall. The was a faint smell of sweet smelling flowers. In was a small waterfall that ran into the room really did set the mood, Lucy felt at ease.

"Wow this room is awesome." Lucy said as she stepped in.

"I painted it myself." Juvia replied to her blushing slightly.

"You're are an amazing artist." Lucy told her.

"Thanks I hope to go to an art collage." She replied. "Well I'll leave you two enjoy yourselves." She waved Lucy goodbye and left.

I changed into a towel and sat down in the warm water.

"Ahhh." She said when her body hit the water. Her mother joyed in bath sitting down a few feet next to her.

"I'm so excited for you Lucy your first formal." her mother said." I was always worried you were a bit of a antisocial but something must have just opened up in you. Now you have friends and going on dates." Lucy blushed a bit she never did think about how her parents felt when she never talked to anyone.

"I got scared when you were little you never talked to our relatives when they came over. Then in middle school all you did was read manga and listen to those vocaloids, I told you father that I was afraid you would became like your cousin Louis who a of those o-otakies."

"Otakus mom."

"Yeah one of those shut-in weirdos but your father said 'If she good in the studies leave her alone."

"That sound like him. Mom I'm sorry I never really did any of the things you like to but I was afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"Well I never really fit in anywhere and you were always pushing me to make friends but with my stuttering problem I would just get made fun of, so I got a fear of people. I thought you were ashamed of me. " Lucy told mother looking down at the ripples in the water.

"Until a certain pink hair,bright smiled person invaded my space and opened me up." Lucy thought to herself.

"Lucy I was never ashamed of you just worried but someone or something made you open up to the world." He replied pulling her in for a hug.

"Natsu." Lucy whispered a little too loudly.

"What did you say"?" Her mother asked.

"n-nothing." Lucy replied quickly pulling away. Her mother looked at her a bit then quietly stared at the ceiling.

"Mom tell me the rest of the story." Lucy said. Her mother stay quiet.

"Well, I guess. Your father coming from a rich and high ranked family was trained from young to be the next head. I didn't know at first but slowly Jude was drifting away from me. He would distance himself and go into deep thought when ever he was around me. It was until one night when he came to my house on expectedly He asked me if we could talk."Laya said staring up at the ceiling. She remembered that moment vividly;

Flash back.

"Jude what are you doing here?" Layla asked.

"Layla I have something to tell you." Jude said shaking.

"What is it?"

"Layla we're two different people and I think I would be best if we take a ….break." Jude

stammered looking down at the ground.

"This isn't about the fight we had is because I'm sorry I didn't mean any of those things." Layla replied walking towards Jude but he just stepped farther back.

"I'm sorry Layla." Jude replied quietly.

"Jude please don't do this." Layla cried. Suddenly it felt like a dam broke in her eyes and the tear where just flooding out. Jude stayed quiet but his shoulder were shaking.

"Look at me." Layla commended him. Jude slowly lifted his head to show her he was crying. Layla was stunned his never cried before. He body just took over and then she hugged him.

"Jude It ok I understand you from a rich family who would ever think you go out with Layla whose mom ran off with some man and whose dad a drunk who sometimes hits her."

"No Layla that not it."

"Then what ?"

"I'm getting married." he said sobbing in her shoulder.

"Wha.."Was all she could get out. Jude pulled away from her but couldn't look her in the eye.

"My parents arranged a marriage for me when I was little. I knew all along but I still wanted to be with you, I know it was selfish to put you through all this pain but I fell in love. I'm sooo sorry." Jude turned to walk away but Layla wanted to reach out to him and yell for him to stay but her feet were stuck to the ground and her voice was seem to have withered away along with her heart. Jude got in his car and took one last look at Layla who seem to still be putting together his words. He knew he was a coward for not stay and comforting her but if he stayed any longer he would never be able to let her go.

"It's for the best right?" he thought.

End Flashback

"What happened next?" Lucy asked looking at her mother with interest.

"Oh look at the time we better get going." Layla said changing the subject.

"But mom." Lucy pleaded.

"Lucy when the time comes I'll tell you the rest but for now we have to go out you'll miss you manicure appointment." Layla told her daughter as she stood up. Lucy frowned a bit but as so stood up. She was wondering how her mother could overcome something like that.

The rest of the day was a blur next thing Lucy knew was that she was in her room looking in the mirror standing in the dress she bought. Lucy let out a sigh.

"Lucy dear he is here." Her mother called. Lucy walked downstairs slowly afraid of making a misstep in her 5 inch heels. He Sting smiled as Lucy made her way downstairs. When she finally made it to him I pulled out something from his pocket. It was a beautiful bright pink lotus flower it was stuck on a little wristband. The color instantly made her think of someone but she shook those thought out of her head.

"Sting it beautiful, thank you." Lucy told him.

"Here. He said as he slipped on her wrist.

"You too are just to cute." Layla cooed. "Let me take a picture." she pulled out a camera. Lucy blushed as Sting put his arm around her waist. Her mother took at least fifty picture and ended up sobbing, then she called Jude who walked over to Sting and whispered something to him that made his eyes go wide.

"This seems perfect right, but why do I feel like something missing." Lucy thought.

Sting escorted her to the limo. The ride there was bit quiet. They filled it with small talk. When they reached the school. Lucy was dumbfound she could even recognized it really did look like a scene from a fairy tail. The music was loud and it was crowd so Sting told Lucy to hold on to his arm as they made their way through the crowd of classmates. Lucy was searching for Levy and Erza in the flooded of face, she was also for a certain pink hair fellow. Sting found them a table to her surprized Natsu and Lisanna were sitting at the same table across from them.

"Do the gods hate me ?" Lucy wondered as she sat down. She smiled at Lisanna and she returned the gesture. Lucy looked at Natsu but he just turn his head. Lucy heart ached a little.

"Ummm Lucy do you want a drink?" Sting asked her.

"Yeah I just have some water." she replied. Sting walked toward the food table.

"Oooo Lucy that flower is gorgeous." Lisanna told her.

"Thank you Sting gave it to me." Lucy replied. Natsu grunted ,then he stood up.

"Lisanna you want to dance ?" He asked her putting out his hand.

"Sure." She said taking his hands they disappeared in the crowd. Lucy heart felt a bit heavy but she ignored it.

Suddenly Levy and Erza appeared before her.

"Lucy you look gorgeous." Levy said as she sat down in Natsu's seat and Erza in Lisanna's.

"Thank you but you two totally outshined me." Lucy replied.

"Here you go one water." Sting said as he place a cup in front of Lucy. Lucy thanked him.

Sting smiled at the girls as he sat down.

"Are you Sting?" Levy asked.

"Yup." he replied sipping his punch.

"You cute." Levy told him.

"Ummm thanks you." he replied.

"Well we just wanted to see if your here but we better be going." Erza said standing up pulling Levy along.

"They were nice." Sting said. Suddenly Natsu and Lisanna returned.

"Ohh they have cake." Lisanna said. "I'm going to gets some. Natus you want some."

Natsu shook his head no.

"Oh Lucy I forget to get you some." Sting said.

"That ok." Lucy told him.

"Wanna shared then." He suggested. He took a piece of on the fork and it in Lucy as if he was going to feed her. Lucy blushed then looked at Natsu who seem to giving Sting a death glare.

"No it ok I'll just get my own." She said standing up leaving Sting and Natsu behind. She walked to the table and picked up a plate but was stop by no other than Sue.

"Well if it ain't little miss Lucy Heartfilia." Sue sneered.

"No now please." Lucy told her.

"Why not it not like you have a date to get back to right." Sue said laughing.

"Actually I do." Lucy replied. Sue stopped laughing.

"Who?"

"Sting." Lucy told.

"The really cute new kid?" Sue asked. Lucy nodded.

"Not fair I'm dateless." said stomping her foot. Lucy was silently enjoying her pain but then Sue squinted her eyes at her. "You're enjoying this aren't you." Then suddenly she grabbed a piece of cake brought up her hand to slap Lucy with it ,when someone caught her hand.

"What do you think you're doing ?" The voice said.

"Ummm nothing Natsu." Sue replied. He let her go and she stormed off.

"Natsu." Lucy whispered. Natsu turned to her.

"Lucy can we….." but he was cut off by Sting who was looking for Lucy.

"Hey Lucy you wanna dance?" Lucy nodded. She turned to glance but he was gone so she just followed Sting.

"Damn it." Natsu whispered under his breath. Finally he thought he could straighten things with Lucy but he come. Natsu didn't know why but he hated that guy's guts and didn't even know him.

Natsu need someone air, Lisanna was so clingy. He walked outside to find Grey arguing with Juvia.

"Juvia I was nothing looking at he ass."

"Yes you were and you will be severely punished Grey-sama. You should only have eyes for me." Juvia told him in a dangerous toned. Natus was debating whether to step in but he didn't want to cross paths with Juvia she dangerous. So Natsu walked back inside. They were about to crown the Prince Charming and Princess. Erza went up on stage calling for attention.

"We the student council would like to thank all of you for coming out tonight. First will crown Prince Charming." There was pause as someone handed her the envelope.

"Prince Charming is… Natsu Dragneel." The crowd erupted with cheers. Natsu walked toward the stage. He plaster his fake smiled. The girl putting on his crown blushed a little. They then handed him some flowers. Natsu eyes began to search for Lucy but she was nowhere to be found.

"No don't tell she left." Natsu panicked in his mind but not showing it. But then he saw her standing next to that bastard Zing, Ping or what ever the hell his name was.

"Now for our queen ….. Lisanna Strauss." Erza replied. Natsu wasn't pay any attention. Lisanna appeared next to him.

"Now they will have a dance." Erza told the crowd.

Natsu was zoned out during the couple dance all he could think about was Lucy. He want to tell her so badly but for some reason she avoided. After the dance he decide was going to find Lucy when Lisanna said her parents wanted her back home. If Natsu could of had his way he would of sent he home by herself but he had to be gentleman.

"Damn you chivalry." he whispered to himself.

Natsu walked Lisanna up to her door but she asked him to come inside. He agreed. she lead him to the live room where he found his parents.

"Mom, Dad what are you doing here ?" he asked.

"Natsu sit down we have to talk to you." His dad said in a stern voice which kind of made him afraid.

"Natsu you and Lisanna are to be married when you graduate from school." his father said.
