"Hey Shin-chan are you free this weekend?" Everyone's heads turned towards the two freshman starters and Midorima wanted to hit him because she could practically feel the misguided assumptions their classmates were making. "If I am?" She asks suspiciously, Midorima wouldn't put it pass Takao to try having some ulterior motive for the sudden invitation. "Well I was thinking that we could take our sisters to the park by my house since she's wanted to go for a while now." He shrugged nonchalantly, looking patiently at her.

"I see no reason why not. Fine we'll go to the park."

.KnB.

"Our sisters are really cute aren't they Shin-chan?" Takao eyes locked onto the two little girls who were plopped onto the lush green grass surrounded by small little white and red flowers. She pushed her glasses up her dainty nose, "Of course they are. They're young children they are supposed to be cute." Midorima reasoned watching as Takao's little sister taught hers the proper way to make flower crowns.

"Ni-chan!"

"Onee-chan!"

Both teenagers looked down at the two little girls from their perch on a park bench, the little raven haired girl held out several white flowers to her brother, "Make a crown with us!" She demanded cutely and Midorima could practically feel Takao melting. "Sure, they'll be the best flower crowns ever." He declared soon becoming engrossed with the flowers presented by the two eight year olds.

Takao looked unusually carefree and his face looked more handsome and open without his mischievous smile. She could see how his shoulders and back looked stronger from months of driving her in the rickshaw. Maybe the girls at their school weren't exaggerating when they said Takao was 'hot', it's not like he was…displeasing to look at, she could see that much at least. Not that Midorima would ever tell him that. Takao would look at her like she was an alien and laugh at her if she ever said anything about him like the rest of the female population did.

She forced her eyes to look away from her teammate and landed on the small red round petaled flower by her foot. Red and raven-haired color would combine nicely. With her mind made up she carefully picked up the small plant and scooted closer to the trio. Takao glanced at her the second she moved, "Look what we made," he held up a well done pure white flower wreath. Then he reached up and gently placed it on her head, "Doesn't she look pretty~?" he gave a charming smile to the two giggling girls, she felt her cheeks burn in response.

"I-idiot." She mumbled before reaching over and gently guiding the red flower into the soft hair behind Takao's ear.

He raised an eyebrow at her surprising action and she tried to ignore the warmth spreading up her ears. "A red flower is Scorpio's lucky item; it's convenient that we ended up coming to a park full of them." She explained, her fingers ghosting over the simple flower now firmly tucked into Takao's raven hair.

He gave her a simple grin, "Thanks Shin-chan, that's really sweet of you."

"Shut up." She huffed out automatically in response out of habit. It's not like she did anything special anyway, so why thank her? "I'm simply making sure that your fortune is as favorable as possible. That way when we play, there should be no mistakes on your end."

Takao laughed, "Whatever you say~"

This takes place after the events from chapter 6:

"Thank you for the milkshake Kagami." The blunette said grateful after taking a generous sip from her wonderful drink. The red-head waved her off, "Think of it as a 'thank you' since I was the one who called you out late to play." Now that he thought about it, it was already dark. He'd left his apartment quickly just to get away from Alex and Tatsuya's untrue accusations; he didn't even take notice of how the sky had already been a deep orange from the sunset. He and Kuroko had met up twenty minutes later after messages had been exchanged and played basketball until his stomach had signaled loud and clear that it required feeding, by that point it was already dark.

Her lips tilted up slightly, "I don't mind if you call me out to play. I like playing basketball with Kagami." He groaned loudly and pointy looked away, "D-Don't say things like that aloud dammit!" Jeeze…! How could she stand to say such embarrassing words out loud with a poker face like that? "Don't laugh!" His face grew warmer when he noticed that Kuroko was giggling quietly through her straw (it was such a tiny sound, but so clear and melodious; like little bells, it was cute).

"Anyway since it's really late, I'll walk you home." Kagami offered once milkshakes and burgers had been exhausted on both sides. Kuroko gave him a strange look, "Not necessary. No one will notice me walking home at this time. My parents are overseas so no one will know if I come home late." She explained, her voice set into her normal emotionless voice. Like someone ignoring her presence on the street was normal and nothing to be upset over. He found it sad. "So? You don't know that! I'm walking you home!" He declared before walking out of Maji knowing that the blunette would be right behind him.

She followed him out the door; Kuroko couldn't help a small smile, Kagami was truly a kind person. No one had ever been concerned like that for her before, it was nice. The two walked in a comfortable silence for several minutes before a strong wind blew through. The cold crisp air chilled her through her simple white t-shirt that clung to her more; her basketball shorts didn't offer any additional warmth. She must have shivered or something because out of nowhere she felt something large and warm being draped over her head.

"Jesus Kuroko, are you trying to freeze to death? You should've brought a jacket or something!" He scolded her fondly, ruffling her hair when she rearranged Kagami's large red sweater over her shoulders. Kagami's sweater easily swallowed her form up to her knees and she was suddenly assaulted with the scent of sweat and spice, something uniquely Kagami just under the surface. It was oddly comfortable, "Thank you for the sweater." She snuggled more into the seeping warmth, sending him a grateful look. He quickly looked away from her, "W-whatever, it's nothing to thank me for or anything…" He grumbled under his breath but still loud enough for her to hear.

It was only later after Kagami had dropped her off home that she realized that she hadn't returned Kagami's sweater.

"The hell are you all doing?" Something in Nijimura tells him to turn around and walk away because this is just too bizarre and he doesn't want to deal with this. The small rainbow heads turn towards him and he knows it's too late to run. Kuroko is perched on Aomine's shoulders with her tiny hands clamped onto the other girl's face. Momoi is hovering uncertainly behind them, ready to catch the blunette should she fall. Kise is about half way onto Midorima's shoulders, an angry scowl on the bespeckled girl's face told him all he needed to know about how she felt in this situation. Haizaki (surprisingly at practice on time, and with Kise so close by) was on the shoulders of some poor first stringer who looked like he was torn between delight and fear, her elbow digging into the guy's head while her head rested on her hand. Akashi was already sitting on Murasakibara's shoulder, looking very much like a king on his throne.

What the hell did he walk into?

"Good afternoon Nijimura-senpai." Akashi greeted cordially, Murasakibara turned her body slightly so that the red-haired girl didn't have to move an inch. "Why is there a swimming pool on my court?!" He growled, finally noticing that the girls were wearing nothing but their basketball shorts and tank tops while standing in a decent sized inflatable swimming pool. "The boys were kind enough to bring it in for us." Midorima answered, helping Kise hoist herself on her shoulders. He turned his glare briefly to the other first-stringers who had given their regulars a whole court to themselves. They flinched back into practice when they noticed their Captain's glare.

"That doesn't answer my question! Why is it here?!" They looked at him like he should already know and he resisted the urge to crush their runty heads. "Team building exercise." Replied Kuroko tonelessly, "Yeah we're building camaraderie!" Aomine added excitedly, gripping Kuroko's legs tightly. "Do you wanna play Nijimuracchi?" Kise looked at him expectantly, gathering Midorima's now lose hair and tying it into a single loose braid. "You can substitute for this idiot." Haizaki pointed down at the boy who Nijimura swore looked more pleased than terrified over his head being in between a pretty girl's legs. Fucking little shit.

"Hell no! Get this pool out of here!" He yelled, "And you," he jabbed a finger towards the first stringer, "Quite looking excited! Everyone get back to practice!" He felt an oncoming headache already. He ignored the groans and cute pouts sent his way, sometimes having girls on an all-boys team was troublesome as hell.

And now Nijimura has made an appearance! And I guarantee it won't be the last either!

Just to let you guys know, updating may be a slower from now on because school is ending for the year and I won't have access to internet as much. By the looks of it, there will be maybe two updates per month.

Until next time~
