"Guys, we have a serious problem." Tosh said.

We all stayed silent.

"It's the Luvendan. They're close." She explained.

Everyone turned to me and my mouth dropped.

"Ellie?" Jack asked, reassuringly grabbing my shoulder.

I flinched as I jumped back to reality.

"Where are they?" I quizzed, grabbing a gun and loading it with ammo before attaching a holster to myself and placing my handgun in it.

"Ellie, you don't have to go through with this." Jack said.

"Yes I do. And I will. Now where are they? Tosh!?" I shouted, my temper rising by the minute.

"Ur…they're here. In the building." Tosh confirms, and to follow that we heard several growls.

"Dad, you said this race was like us." I hissed.

"They are, just – some aspects are different." Dad responded.

"Let's do this!" I said before running off in the direction of the growls.

"Ellie!" Dad yelled after me but I carried on running.

This was going to end today. Today would be the day I came face to face with the race that killed my family. They would pay for the suffering I was put through because of them.

I heard the growls again – this time they were closer than before. I hid against the wall and slowly peered my head around the corner. There stood one of the things that were responsible for the death of my family.

I shot several times and unfortunately missed. I quickly checked my ammo but I only had one bullet left.

I braced myself before aiming my revolver and shooting again.

It hit right in the middle of its eyes and it fell to the ground stone dead.

"Ellie!" Dad said, running up to me with Gwen in tow.

"It's dead." I said happily.

"There's another one. Owen, Tosh and Ianto are dealing with it." Gwen explained.

"Then let's help them." I said.

"They've got it covered." Dad said surely of himself.

Suddenly an ear piercing scream bellowed through the hub. It was Tosh!

"That doesn't sound like they have it covered." I stated before running off to help.

They immediately followed.

"Oi!" I said, storming into the room.

Ianto was trying to hold the Luvendan off and Owen was in the corner with Tosh. I could see blood but it didn't look too bad. I turned my attention back to the foreign specie that was in OUR territory.

"You want me! Not them. You came for me, to kill me – just like you did the rest of my family. So leave them alone!" I yelled.

"Ellie, don't do this!" Dad yelled, running in.

Gwen stepped around the events which were folding out and ran over to Owen and Tosh to check they were alright

"I'm sorry Dad." I said.

Jack's P.O.V

"I'm sorry Dad." She said before stepping towards the Luvendan.

"Leave. Them. Alone!" She ordered.

No, no, no, no, no!

Ellie stepped closer and with that – they vanished.

"NOOOOO!" I yelled.

I fell to my knees and Gwen pulled me into a hug.

"It will be ok. It will all be ok." She whispered.

I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine. Our lips locked to each other and it felt so good.

23:00pm

I was on the roof looking up towards the stars.

"Where are you Ellie?" I whispered to myself as a tear rolled down my cheek.

And that's the end of ANL! – For now!

I can confirm that I will be writing a sequel. Not sure when but I will!
