One of the minions must of hot wired a car and drove it here. Surprisingly nobody seemed to notice it, but when one of the cops or doctors go looking for their car it won't be there. Won't that be a surprise. The car was a black Mercedes and it seemed to be in mint condition. All clean and shiny. Edward opened the door for Paige and she smiled at him and took her seat inside. Both Paige and Edward sat in the back while two of his henchmen sat in the front and drove. They drove right out of Arkham and onto the streets of Gotham. Paige thought she saw Batman out of the corner of her eye as they left, but came to the conclusion that it was just a crow. Batman was busy looking for Joker and he was sure that they had no time for them.

They drove for only about ten minutes and then the car pulled over at a nice, simple white house with square windows, and plain curtains. It seemed a little...to simple for Edward's taste, Paige thought. Though most of the houses down the block looked the same, one of those old fashioned neighborhoods. Edward exited out of his vehicle and opened the door for Miss VaSeer and waited for her to exit.

"Such a gentleman."

"Always, especially to the one who deserves it." He said with a smile. When Paige exited the car he closed the door and they went inside.
Just like the outside it was simple on the inside with simple. Chestnut sofa and wooden table and chairs. The flooring was a shiny hardwood and gray carpet. It was very simple, but Paige liked it. With some improvement it could be an even better house. Though it was fine just the way it was.

"So this is your house Edward?" Paige asked as they walked around.

"It is, but I plan to get a better one when I have my hands on some money. Come, let me show you something." Edward took Paige's hand and guided her to a door. He opened it and it showed stairs leading downstairs to the basement. Edward went first into the dark basement. When he took a few steps down he stopped, turned around and then held out his hand to Paige. Paige took it and they both walked downstairs. When they both reached the bottom step Edward flipped a switch and it revealed a large room with wires, computers, desks, monitors, cameras and other technological devices.

"Edward? What is this?"

"I have hacked into every computer, camera, tv, and phone in Gotham. Here I can see and hear everything. Here, let me show you." Edward walked to the large computer screen. Well it really wasn't a large screen, but hundreds of tiny screens packed showed the Town Hall, a barber shop across from the Gotham theatre. It was amazing.

"From here I can see what is happening in Arkham right now." Edward began typing on the keyboard and the small screens began to share the same image. It showed Arkham Asylum and people running around frantically. The guards must be having a hard time rounding up all the inmates.

A dark figure moved in the background of the screen. Edward and Paige both tilted their heads and looked at it. Edward focused the camera in closer so we could see what it was, and our suspicions were correct. It was the Batman. In his arms was one of the inmates, the inmate had a question mark on his shirt. He must have been one of Edward's men. We couldn't hear what they were saying they were to far away, but if Paige had to guess he was asking about the whereabouts of The Riddler. The man was obviously scared and was telling the Batman something. Next thing that happened was that the Batman knocked him out and tossed him on the floor.

"It seems like the Dark Knight is searching for me." Edward said with a frown. "He has better things to do then look for me at the moment. He should be searching for the Joker. I would hate for him to find us and have him take you away from me."

"I wouldn't like that either, we just got together... and-"

"Hush." Edward placed a finger on her lips and smiled. "I bet you're hungry. How about we go out and eat?" Right when he said that her stomach gave a loud growl and they both laughed.

"I ate lunch earlier today, but it has been awhile. I could go for a good meal."

"Wonderful! I know just the place!"

The two arrived at French Bistro called Bon Etolies. It was quite fancy and looked sort of expensive. This concerned Paige, but Edward reassured her and a waiter took them to their seats. They sat and looked at their menu and after some time of thinking, they ordered. Paige ordered Sautéed Lamb Chops with Herbes de Province while Edward ordered Duck Breast with Orange Salad.

"Ah Edward." The waitress said. She was a small blond girl with blue eyes wearing a black suit and a red rose in her hair. "It is good to see you again. Out of Arkham?"

"Well Petunia, If I was in Arkham you wouldn't see me here." He said a bit coldly.

"Oh, that's right. I'm sorry. I'll go tell the chef to prepare your food."

"That would be best." Edward said and the waitress left.

"Well she seemed to know you." Paige asked as she took a sip of her water.

"Well criminals tend to know criminals. Besides, this restaurant is owned by the Falcone family." Paige almost choked on her water and Edward watched her, amused. "No worries." He said. "No one here will hurt you. People here are safe from the law."

"So... no one will mind us here?"

"Of course."

The two started chatting it up till their food arrived. It smelled delicious and Paige couldn't help but gaze down at her food greedily. Edward laughed at her and she came back to reality. She laughed with him and they started eating. Paige was happy with what she was eating. It was some of the best French food she has eaten before. Before long all the food was gone and all that was really left was less than a third of the duck Edward ordered. The waitress came back around and took their plates away.

"Thanks for dropping by Edward, I'll let Falcone know you dropped by." Petunia winked at Edward and then left. Paige could feel her face becoming red.

"Well let's go back to my house and rest up for the night." Edward said. Paige agreed and they both left the restaurant and went back to Edward's house to rest for the night.
