"The one on the right." I thought as I stared at the twins. The two of them had been playing the "Which One Is Hikaru Games?" for the last few minutes and every time I knew exactly which one was which. Its was honestly funny how those two thought they were so much alike. "Maybe I should play and put money down? Make a few yen."
"Many ladies have tried to tell us apart but so far non have succeeded." The two said together, moving their bodies in unison.
"That's the dumbest game I've ever heard of." Haruhi rolled her eyes as she walked past the two. She stopped right next to where I was sitting on the couch, taking in the silly game they were playing.
"Couldn't have said it better myself." I muttered, looking back to the book in my lap.
"What have you got a problem with it." Hikaru and Kaoru continued.
"Not really. I'm just not sure why you two are so popular." Haruhi muttered.
"That's not very nice." The two slid up next to Haruhi.
"I'm disappointed." Hikaru pursed his lips.
"Apparently you don't understand the merit of having twins as members of the host club." Kaoru finished.
"Listen up. Having a pair of good looking guys with homosexual tendency earns the club high points. It also helps if they struggle between their attraction and their friendship."
"And in our case because we're twins our relationship is taboo therefore more intriguing."
"Oh brother." I muttered rolling my eyes. It was at that point I knew I shouldn't have said anything. The two of them quickly turned and plopped themselves down next to me. Hikaru grabbed my book and threw it onto the table. I was barely about to shout out a "hey" before the two pressed into me as closely as possible.
"And besides." Hikaru whispered, grabbing me by the chin and turned my face to his, our noses overlapping. I stared cross eyed to see his face as I tried to stop my face from turning red. "Who hasn't fanaticized about twins. Having two loves is better than one don't you think Snowflake."
I began to glare at him when suddenly my chin was grabbed by a new hand and pulled into the other direction. My eyes went wide as Kaoru got even closer, and I felt Hikaru's chin set onto my shoulder and his breath near my ear. My face betrayed me as I could feel the heat spreading through my cheeks. I wanted to say that it was in rage but I wasn't sure at this point in time.
"It's a young woman's romantic fantasy." Kaoru whispered. Squeals echoed out from behind us. That was it. I drove my elbow into Hikaru's stomach and used my other hand to push Kaoru's face upward, as far away from my face as it would go.
"Knock it off you idiots. I'm not in the mood." I hissed before turning back to Haruhi. "I hate to admit it but they do have a point. Back in middle school there was quite a few people who had crushes on me and my twin. We may have been different genders but boys and girls alike used to think about dating us both. It was creepy I must say."
Both Hikaru and Kaoru smirked over at Haruhi before wrapping their arms around my shoulders and waist. I was about to shove them off when Tamaki came skidding up out of nowhere. The three of us blinked up at him as he started to yell.
"Hikaru, Kaoru!" Tamaki screeched. "When I gave you control of the club's website I did so on one condition. That you take it seriously!"
"We take out job very seriously Boss." Hikaru smugly reported, as I continued to look on with wide eyes.
"In fact last night we worked on it until dawn." Kaoru finished.
"Is this what you took so long to create?!" Tamaki shoved the laptop he held into our face and my jaw dropped.
"What is it?" Haruhi asked, coming around the back of the couch.
"Don't look Haruhi!" I jumped up grabbing her by the waist to drag her away, but I was too late. She fell limp in my arms and all the color drained from her. "Hold on Haruhi! You're going to be fine!"
"Wow you look great Haru-chan." Honey shouted.
"Honey-sempai that's not really the point." I was promptly ignored as dozens of guests swarmed around the computer screen, squealing.
"Tell me when!" Tamaki demanded.
"Huh?"
"When did you take naked pictures of Haruhi and Fuyoko?" Tamaki shouted.
"Whoa! What do you mean and Fuyoko?" I started.
"Wow. You look so good Fuyoko!" One of the guests turned to me, grabbing the laptop and turning it towards where I sat with a frozen Haruhi in my lap. My eye twitched as I took in the picture of me that was front and center on screen. I sat wearing a white dress that covered my front and was low in the back so that my entire back was showing. My hands where holding my long hair up in a bun as I looked over my shoulder.
Everyone watched nervously as my face flushed in anger and I squeezed my eyes tightly closed. I counted to three before letting out a breath and relaxing.
Some of the guests gaped as I suddenly went calm and sighed. "It's fine."
"You can't say that Fuyoko! Those devils bribed you didn't they. Both of you!" Tamaki screeched falling to his knees.
"Come on Tamaki quite being an idiot. It's obviously photoshopped." I sighed. "I should be mad but it's not a bad photo and everything's covered. It's not even my body."
"Yeah Boss. It's obvious that the photos were altered." Kaoru shrugged his shoulders.
"We did a pretty good job huh?" Hikaru grinned.
"We've got some major photoshopping talents." Kaoru copied his brother.
"I'll say. I'm not even this good." I mumbled, taking the laptop and studying the photos. If I could stand them for more then a few minutes maybe I could get them to teach me a bit.
"You idiots! That's a waste of your talents. Have you no shame! But if you're going to do it anyway do you think you could photoshop Haruhi into this idol photobook."
I couldn't have helped notice that he only said Harhui. That boy was so transparent sometimes.
"Don't be so ridiculous boss." Hikaru rolled his eyes
"Why don't you just ask her if she'd wear and outfit like that?" Kaoru asked.
Suddenly Tamaki was right next to where I now stood with a still frozen Haruhi. He stood the holding up a pink frilly dress.
"What do you think about this my dear?" Tamaki asked
"What are you doing with that dress?" Honey asked.
"Being an idiot." I growled ripping it from his now shaking hands and tossing it to the floor. "Back off."
I jumped when Haruhi suddenly gained movement and turned on Tamaki. Glaring at him with the same annoyance as me.
"Now cut it out. Stop making weird photos of me. What do you take me for anyway?" Haruhi grumbled.
"Isn't that obvious." The two smirked. "You're our toy."
I raised an eyebrow at the two, glaring at them.
"In order to entertain one's self in this otherwise boring life." Hikaru started.
"One must find himself stimulating toys." Kaoru finished.
"I am not your toy okay!" Haruhi hissed. "Fuyoko a little help."
"No can do Haruhi. I'm just glad its not me." I said before quickly turning and trying to walk away. Suddenly I was grabbed around the waist and pulled back into Hikaru's chest, while Kaoru leaned into my face in front of me.
"Don't be so jealous snowflake. Haruhi may be our toy, but you're our pet. Way more fun to play with." He grinned. I went to kick him in the shin but was thrown off balance when Hikaru straightened his body from where it was hunched over me, dragging me alone and lifting me into the air, my feet not even scrapping the floor. Since when were they so much taller than me.
"Did someone say toy's?" A creepy voice echoed throughout the room. I looked over from where I was dangling to see someone dressed in a black cloak leaning out a door that I could have sworn wasn't there earlier. "You want a toy." Hikaru dropped me to the floor as we all looked over at the newcomer. "Toys. Toys. If you like toys then you should come and visit my black magic club. We've opened a marketplace that boasts black magic items from across the globe. We're also holding mass around the clock. If you visit right now I'll even throw in a free curse doll. You could have Belzenef as your free gift."
"Awesome." I mumbled staring at the doll.
"Why is he talking through a crack in the door?" Haruhi asked.
"Has that door always been there?" The twins muttered.
"Nekozawa-sempai likes to hid he doesn't care for brightly lit places."
"I want one of those curse dolls." I went to take a step forward but a hand grabbed onto my shoulder.
"Don't get involved with that guy." Tamaki breathed from behind me, scaring Haruhi. She jumped away while I shoved his hand off me. "If you do you'll end up being cursed."
"Do you have any real basis for that?" Haruhi asked.
And with that Tamaki started to babbly on about some ridiculous story about being in a different dimension and not being able to feel his legs. I had honestly at that point stopped listening as I walked over to the dark door.
"Nekozawa-sempai do you mind if I buy one of those?" I asked. He looked shocked for a moment before perking up. A smile brightened his face.
"Really? Have one for free. Make sure you stop by the black magic club when you can." His voice continued in the spooky tone he was using.
"I will. My father was really into black magic, I got a bit of that love from him." I smiled slightly at the older man as he handed me a small wooden carving of the cursed doll.
"Fuyoko how could you!" Tamaki shouted behind me.
"You won't be disappointed. The dark powers of Belzenef the curse doll are powerful. All you have to do is write the name of someone you hate on his back, then that person is certain to come face to face with… misfortune." I watched in amusement as directed this at Tamaki, who was currently having a break down. Suddenly both Nekozawa and Tamaki screamed as the twins shown a flashlight there way. Nekozawa went running as quickly as he could out of the room.
Both of them shrugged. "How on earth could you do such a thing obviously you two don't know the true dark terror of black magic." Tamaki yelled.
"That wasn't nice you two." I glared as they walked away. The two just shrugged again and sat down in chairs by the window.
"Ugh, I'm so bored." Hikaru grumbled.
"Isn't there anything fun to do around here?" Kaoru sighed.
Suddenly the two leaned forward and quickly whispered to one another, before leaning back in their chairs.
"Hey Fuyoko, Haruhi. We've got a favour to ask." The both said in unison.
"The answer is already no." I huffed.
"What is it?" Haruhi asked.
"Can we come over to your guys places?" They asked.
"Why?"
"Don't engage Haruhi. Just say no." I said, turning her away.
"We're curious. We want to see where you both live. Meet your families."
"No way. You guys are just going to make fun of me."
"And there is no way my brothers are meeting you."
"No matter how much we beg you?"
"No way." Haruhi and I both said.
"I too think its time that I pay my respects to our beloved Haruhi and Fuyoko's families."
"No way in hell sempai."
"Dido." I deadpanned.
"We can settle this with a game. If you two can't pick out which of us is Hikaru. Your penalties will be us coming over to your house later tonight." When me and Haruhi turned around the two where standing there with hats over their heads. "Which one of is Hikaru?!"
"This ones Kaoru, this ones Hiikaru." Haruhi pointed to them respectively.
"Uh oh you got it wrong." They chanted. I rolled my eyes.
"I think you two spend to much time together, your getting yourselves mixed up. Haruhi's right. Hikaru." I nodded to him. "Kaoru." I nodded to Kaoru. "Just because your identical doesn't mean your not different people. Its so easy to tell."
The two of them froze in shock. I couldn't help but notice both of their hands twitch and grab each others. Their eyes then turned toward each other.
"How did you two know that? Whenever they cover up their hair parts its impossible to tell which one is Hikaru and which one is Kaoru." A black haired guest asked.
"How can you tell them apart?" Another girl asked.
"It's kind of difficult to explain. But Hikaru's speech and actions make him come off a bit more mischievous than Kaoru." Haruhi explained.
"Haruhi's right. The way that they talk is completely different. When there together its harder to differentiate them. But there's just something about them that's different. Kaoru has a kinder tone to his voice, while Hikaru is the opposite." I tried to explain it the best I could but it was hard. There was just something different about them.
From behind us Kaoru began to snicker. "I'm sorry Hikaru I don't mean to laugh." Kaoru bent over and began to laugh harder. Hikaru frowned and the air shifted. Things were about to get bad.
"Well I don't see what's so funny. I'm honest I speak my mind and I don't hold back. It's sneaky people like Kaoru who are the trouble makers." Hikaru glared and Kaoru froze.
"Uh oh." I mumbled, taking a step back.
"Don't put this on me Hikaru. After all, I'm the one always going alone with all of your selfish games." Kaoru deadpanned.
"I may suggest them but you're the one who really gets into them Kaoru. If you hate it so much why don't you stop."
"Because I'd hate for you to make an ass of yourself in front of everyone. You're the one who chose Fuyoko as our pet, but I notice you were quick to make a pass at her. Admit that you're in love with Fuyoko."
I froze as Hikaru stuttered, looking over at me. We both stared at each other, his face a blaring red color. I tilted my head at him and he quickly turned back to Kaoru.
"Why would I love her? She's so negative and isn't even nice to look at! You're such a freaking idiot!" Hikaru shouted. "And if anyone here is in love with her it's you Kaoru! You spent more time on that photoshopped picture of her than me."
"You're the idiot. No way would I love her!" It was Kaoru's turn to freeze and turn a bright shade of red. "It was your creepy idea to make that picture anyway."
"If its all the same to you. I'd prefer it if no one was in love with me." I spoke up but was ignored. Then the ground began to rumble and a platform began to emerge from the floor.
"This is amazing. Our graceful little Fuyoko is trapped within a love triangle of epic proportions. I predicted this during the last episode. Fuyoko has two brothers in love with her at once. Fighting for her affections." Renge screamed through a microphone as she stood on the spinning platform.
"No one is fighting over me! And I'm not in love with either of them so its not a triangle." I huffed.
"Yeah butt out Otaku." The twins interjected.
"You guys are meanies you shouldn't say stuff like that to your manager." Renge cried, running over to me and Haruhi, collapsing in our arms.
"Why me." I whined.
"Cut it out already! You're the one always crawling into my bed talk about annoying." Hikaru shouted.
"What's so wrong with that?" I mumbled. "Hotaru does that sometimes."
"I only do that cause you look lonely. I wouldn't choose to sleep in your bed you idiot." Kaoru yelled.
"Who are you calling an idiot. You're the one who sucks at math." Hikaru growled.
"Well your failing your foreign language class you big dummy."
"The way you grind your teeth is definitely…"
"At least I don't toss and turn so much I fall out of bed!"
"Sex pixie!"
"Sicko!"
"Your momma wears too much makeup!" They shouted in unison. "That's it we're over!"
And with that they both stormed out.
Next day
"Do you think Hikaru and Kaoru are okay?" Haruhi asked as the bells for class chimmed.
I turned around in my seat to look over at her. "They're fine. They probably made up last night. Even if they're not let them handle it themselves. They'll get over it."
"Good morning Haruhi, Fuyoko." Hikaru's voice echoed through the room.
"Hey Hika… what did you do?" My mouth dropped open as I took in Hikaru, and his now pink hair.
"What happened to your hair? Why is it dyed pink?" Haruhi questioned.
"Cause pink suits me. Don't you think its cute. Now I'm the pink haired twin. I didn't want to be mistaken for that Kaoru the rest of my life." Hikaru explained.
"Hikaru is this because of yesterday?" I asked. "Have you two… not…" I trailed off as I caught sight of Kaoru walking into the door. His hair was now a blue color.
"Good morning Fuyoko, Haruhi." Kaoru but in, stepping up to stand next to Hikaru. Hikaru immediately headed for his seat behind me. My eyes followed him as Kaoru continued to talk. "I was finally able to sleep all by myself last night but I ended up having a nightmare. I had dreamt that my stylist had dyed my hair pink. It was so garish and ridiculous looking that I woke up screaming."
I kept my eyes on Hikaru as his fists clenched against the desk. He then tilted his chair to the side and stuck out his foot as far as he could. Kicking out Kaoru's chair.
"Kaoru." I tired to warn hm but it was too late. Blue hair disappeared behind the desk as he fell to the floor. I looked back at Hikaru only to watch as he was suddenly thrown to the side, falling off his chair. Both stood up and stared each other down. Rolling my eyes, I turned back around and started to draw in my sketchbook.
Behind me the two let out warrior cries and began throwing stuff across the room. I did my best to block them out until the teacher would get here to start the class and end their childish fighting.
If only.
At lunch Haruhi decided that she should keep an eye on the twins, so she decided to eat in the cafeteria. I followed her because I had no interest in eating alone. We got there just in time to see them arguing about their eating choices for the day, not wanting to eat the same lunch for some reason.
"Perfect unison even when fighting." Haruhi mused.
"I was wondering what all the fuss was about. I can't believe you two are still fighting. You're a disgrace to the host club." Tamaki said as he walked into the cafeteria along with the rest of the host club. Everyone in the cafeteria stared at us in amazement, rarely seeing us all outside of the music room.
My headache was getting worse by the second, having dealt with Hikaru and Kaoru pulling pranks on each other all day was driving me insane. Suddenly Honey stepped in between the two holding a small cake.
"Oh no. Honey don't…" I started but he was already getting involved.
"We've had enough of this. You're both to blame for this fight. Hika-chan and Kao-chan I want you to make up and go halfsies on this cake. Okay. But I want to have a piece too. So we're going to have to go thirdsies. But we're not going to be able to split this strawberry on top. Maybe I should just have it. I mean strawberries are my favorite. Oh I forgot to ask. Hika-chan, Kao-chan do you like strawberries?"
You could feel the irritation coming off of them in waves. I was going to step in when Mori appeared and dragged Honey away.
"You're just making it worse. Leave them alone."
"Let them handle it themselves Honey. They'll be fine." I nodded, patting him on the head.
"Oh, Haruhi I didn't expect to find you here in the dining hall." Tamaki asked rushing over to Haruhi's side.
"I was worried about those two so I followed them. I usually just eat my boxed lunch in the classroom." Haruhi explained.
"I just followed Haruhi. We eat together." I held up my small boxed lunch. It was then that Tamaki froze, staring at Haruhi. I grabbed Haruhi's shoulder and started dragging her towards a table as Tamaki had one of his fantasies.
"I don't care if my lunch is in an embarrassing heart shape I will eat it!" Tamaki suddenly shouted, and with that I dragged Haruhi away faster.
"Nutjob." I mumbled, sitting down at the table.
"Mind if I sit here." Hikaru sat down in the seat next to Haruhi.
"You already are." I glared. Hikaru ignored me and pointed to Haruhi's food.
"What'd you bring for lunch?"
"Yesterdays left overs." Haruhi responded, looking down at her food. "And a rolled omlette."
"You want to switch with me. I had to order something different than Kaoru and ended up with something I don't like." Without even waiting for a response he grabbed Haruhi's lunch box and pushed over his own food.
"Fine by me." Haruhi mumbled looking down at the food in awe. She picked up a piece and put it in her mouth. A second later she froze eyes going wide and humming in joy.
I chuckled at her. "Cute. Mind if I try?" I asked before grabbing a bit of the food she had just taken.
"Not bad." I mumbled. Blinking down at it.
"If you like that you'll definitely like this Fuyoko." Kaoru suddenly sat down next to me. He grabbed my chin and pushed a spoon full of food toward my mouth. I was about to punch him but saw what exactly he was about to feed me. My favorite desert. Willing to deal with the embarrassment I opened my mouth to eat it, excited. Suddenly I was denied the food as Hikaru's face appeared next to mine and his mouth closed around the spoon. I felt a twinge of sadness.
"Quit butting in get lost Kaoru." Hikaru spoke around the spoon. Kaoru glared and proceeded to pick up a bowl of food. Hikaru was able to dodge it by using Tamaki's face as a shield. I didn't care at the moment however. Worried that he would waste the desert I grabbed the bowl and a spoon and quickly backed away from the table, with Haruhi in tow. I stared down at the bowl and scooped some into my mouth. Happily, I savored the treat.
"I think I'm going to go eat in the classroom after all." Haruhi packed up and began walking away. I Blinked after her and looked back at where my boxed food was trapped between the fight.
"I'm coming too Haruhi." I said around my spoon. I didn't need my lunch. This would be enough till the end of the day.
I had been wrong about the desert being enough to eat for the day. An hour later I was hungry again, so during the free period we had I headed out to find some type of food. Luckily the cafeteria was still open to snacks. I walked into the dining hall with a few pastries and looked around. Not many people were there but a familiar color of pink hair caught my eye. Hikaru sat at a table slumped over some books. Honesty it was weird seeing him without Kaoru next to him. I knew I should ignore it but he looked kind of sad sitting there alone.
"I hate myself." I mumbled as my body led me over to him. "Mind if I sit?"
Hikaru jerked in his chair and looked up from his books. "Oh hi Fuyoko. You get hungry?"
"Yeah, because of you and your brother I lost my food somewhere in the scuffle."
"Yeah well what are you going to do?" Hikaru shrugged non chelanty.
My eye twitched in annoyance. "Well you seem pretty normal. I feel like I should make you pay for this. What are you doing in here anyway? You do know the library is for studying, not the dining hall."
"I have to work in here. Kaoru's in the library." Hikari frowned.
"Oh." I picked up the apple I had bought and took a bite, staring at Hikaru. My eye caught movement and I looked down as he reached over for something from my pile. Before I realized what was happening, my hand reflexively shot out and slapped his away. We both stared at each other before I looked away. "Sorry."
We sat there in silence for several minutes. Me taking tiny bites of my food and Hikaru sitting there fiddling with the pages of his textbook.
"What are you even doing over here?" Hikaru finally spoke.
"I don't know. You look pretty lonely without Kaoru." I said. He went to speak before I cut him off. "Trust me this isn't me getting involved. I guess I just came to see if you were… okay."
"I'm fine." Hikaru snapped.
"…Well sorry." I muttered sarcastically and made to stand up. Suddenly his hand shot out and he grabbed my wrist.
"Sorry… I just thought you hated me." He said pulling me back into my seat.
"I don't hate you. I'm incapable of hating someone, especially someone I've only known for about a month. I don't necessarily like you, but then again, I don't really know you. I only know the you who won't stop harassing me with his brother. I've never gotten the chance to know what you're really like."
"I'm always like that." Hikaru muttered.
"No your not. You and Kaoru show everyone a fake personality that you supposedly share. I bet when you two are alone your completely different people."
"That's funny." Hikaru snorted. "What makes you think that?"
"I don't know just a feeling. Shared experience. Me and my brother used to do the same thing. Like I said I don't know you two all that well yet." I paused. "Hikaru you're the older brother. If anyone should be the bigger man and apologize its you." And with that I stood up. "But like I've told everyone else. I'm not getting involved. You'll have to figure it out yourselves. Good luck."
"Hey Fuyoko?" Hikaru said grabbing my wrist before I could walk off.
"Yeah."
He seemed to hesitate. "Could you really tell me and Kaoru apart?"
If I had known him better I would say that the tone in his voice was almost hopeful. "Of course I can. I meant what I said. You two are different. I can just tell." I smiled down at him while he looked up in shock. Leaning down I put my face closely to his, our noses brushing. "And Hikaru?"
"Y-yeah." Hikaru stuttered. I grinned on the inside, it was fun messing with him. Leaning closer I reached past him and grabbed the homework he had been working on.
I smirked as I held it in front of his page. "Kaoru is right you are a big dummy. This is completely wrong." I straightened up and looked closely at the page. "No wonder your failing foreign languages."
"Shut up!" He hissed, snatching it from my hands.
"All right, all right." I held my hands up in surrender. "Look I have pretty detailed and helpful books on different foreign languages. I'll let you borrow them and they should help you out a lot. And I can't believe I'm going to say this but if you have any questions I can help you."
Hikaru stared at me with suspicions. "Why would you do that?"
"Because I'm nice." I stated. He looked at me with doubt. "Fine. The truth is I'll help you out if you teach me some photoshop. I'm the best at it."
"So." Hikaru smirked crossing his arms, rolling his tongue. "You want my help, because you want to spend alone time with me."
"Not a chance." I glared.
"Hi…" Someone started from behind me and I turned around to the sight of Kaoru's blue hair. He froze when he saw me.
"Kaoru were you looking for Hikaru?" I asked, hopeful that these idiots were done with their petty fight.
He stood there for a second looking back and forth between Hikaru and me and the hand still on my wrist before he finally spoke. "Why would I be looking for him? Actually I was looking for you."
"Really?" I questioned when Hikaru suddenly let go of my wrist.
"Yeah." He seemed to hesitate looking over to Hikaru. I turned around but only watched as Hikaru whipped his head away and stared back down at his textbook. Something was going on, and I had a bad feeling about it. "I was wondering if I could borrow your lecture notes from tomorrow."
"Um sure but i'll have to give them to you tomorrow. I left them at home." I said, looking back and forth between the two brothers. Something was going on. "Well we better get going. Free periods almost over."
"Alright let's go." Kaoru suddenly grinned, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and dragging me away. I looked up in time to see him nodding behind him but before I could dwell on it the bells was chiming and I was pulled out into a hall filled with students
The club room was tense as we all sat there in silence. The only noise coming from Kyoya's calculator and Honey kicking his legs.
"Looking at the numbers if this situation isn't resolved, we'll have to stop offering our brotherly love package. We're down one pair of loving brothers." Kyoya spoke. "Oh Haruhi, Fuyoko. I just want to let the two of you know there's no reason for you to feel responsible, even though it was your comments that caused this mess to begin with."
"I didn't do anything." I huffed and leaned back in my chair, arms crossed. Trying to ignore the chill his icy smile sent down my back.
"It's weird for HIka-chan and Kao-chan to be fighting like this." Honey said as he fiddled with Usa-chan. "Its never happened before."
"They've never fought before?" Haruhi asked.
"I've know Hika-chan and Kao-chan since we were in preschool. We weren't in the same year so I never really got to talk to them. But I remember the two of them always played together. "
"Yeah that's true." Tamaki added on. "I mean I've only known the twins since they were in middle school, but they definitely stood out. It seemed that they kept everyone at a distance except each other. Believe it or not they were even more warped back then. When you stop and think about it maybe this fight is a good thing for them. Maybe it means that the twins are expanding their horizons a bit. We should just leave them alone and let them work it out."
"They'll be fine. Just stay out of it." I said.
"You've been saying that all day Fuyo-chan. Aren't you at all worried?" Honey asked, poking my side.
"Not really. Most of you have siblings but do any of you have a brother or sister that you know better than you know yourself?" My question was met with silence. "I know exactly what they're going through. Me and my brother are almost as close as them. Our first fight was the worst but sometimes that happens. But no matter what they'll always love you. For now, let them figure it out. It may get to a point were someone needs to intervene, but now's not the time."
Kyoya and Tamaki had decided that there wouldn't be any club today with the twins still fighting. I had tried to escapes so that I could make it home early but was trapped as the twins started throwing things at each other once more. I wanted nothing more than to go home and have a bath but for now I was stuck watching them act like children. And also be worried that Honey was sitting up on top of a huge pile of junk in the middle of the room
"Ugh. Don't you guys think that maybe its time you gave up all this fighting. It's driving me insane." Tamaki held his head as he addressed the group.
"What'd you say? Its driving you insane. Oh, you've gotta be kidding me how do you think I feel. Every time I look in the mirror I see his face. I'm sick and tired of constantly being mistaken for you Kaoru. The truth is I hate your guts!" Hikaru shouted.
I froze at those words as they came out of his mouth. Those were the words that meant it was time to intervene.
"You took the words right out of my mouth. I hate you so much I bought this." Kaoru yelled, holding up a wooden doll. "Belzenef the curse doll. I'm going to write your name down Hikaru, I'm going to complete the curse. From this day forward, you're going to experience nothing but pain and sorrow."
Now they were messing around with black magic. That was it. But before I could do anything Haruhi was already moving. We all watched in amazement as she took both of their heads and smashed them together.
"Would you guys knock it off! What do you think you're doing you don't bring something like this into a petty fight. Both of you are at fault here but what's sad is that you've brought everyone else around you into your mess. Now both of you apologize to each other. If you don't make up with each other right now I'm never going to let you come over to my house have I made myself clear."
And with that the feeling into my stomach went from bad to an all-time worse. Everything clicked into place at that moment. With how close they are they wouldn't fight for days about something that small. And Kaoru in the dining hall earlier. He was there for Hikaru not me.
"Haruhi no!" I shouted, but the damage had already been done. Haruhi turned to blink at me and I watched in horror as the two of them grinned in unison.
"So what your saying is that if we make up we can come over to your house." They both spoke in perfect unison as they grabbed a hold of each their shoulders, slinging up to Haruhi. Haruhi looked at the back of the doll, the two grinning twins and me looking in horror. She let out a yell realizing what had just occurred.
"I'm so sorry Kaoru. Even though I was just following our script I said such awful things. I'm not fit to be your brother." Hikaru whispered as he and Kaoru gripped onto each other.
"Don't say that Hikaru. I was so worried. I couldn't live with myself if I ever thought I'd hurt you." Kaoru cried.
"Kaoru I'll never let you go again."
"Hikaru!" They stood there crying and held onto each other tightly.
"Your kidding me!" Honey shouted running back and forth. "You mean you two were faking this whole time.
"We didn't have anything else to do. We were bored." They said in unison. My migraine reached a new high as I watched Tamaki and Haruhi fall to the ground. The twins sticking their tongues out at them.
"Devils." I hissed glaring at them. Suddenly the Hikaru and Kaoru were on either side of me..
"Everything's okay now snowflake." The both squeezed the air out of me as my body shook with rage. "There was no need to worry about us.
"I…was…not…WORRIED!" I screeched, trying to claw my way out of their hold.
The next day I was still furious with those two. I had truthfully been a little worried about the two but now that I knew it was all fake, that worry was replace with pure anger. Even if I was anger at Hikaru I did say I would give him my books. So I headed over to were they were busy with guests, playing that stupid game again.
"Hey Hikaru." I said to the back of the pink haired head. Both of them turned to me and I realized I had made a mistake. "Seriously? Are you two just going to keep switching hair colors from now on. Its going to get really annoying." I turned to the twin with blue hair. "Here are those books Hikaru. And seriously you two don't keep switching hair dyes. Its bad for your hair."
Hikaru stared down at me and Kaoru looked at his brother.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." Hikaru mumbled still staring into my eyes.
"…whatever you say Hikaru." I rolled my eyes and began to walk away. When I was halfway across the room I looked back to see the two of them holding hands and still staring at me. From the look in Kaoru's eyes I could tell that there was something wrong. In all honesty I hoped that he was okay.
So its been a while since ive posted chapter.
The truth is this had originally started out as a quick little thing but its turned into something I actually hope to spend more time on.
I'm going to finish this story and then attempt the fix up the first few chapters which are honestly a mess.
