In the Human Realm...

Danny and I flew as fast as possible towards the Tower. It turns out, I still have the same powers before I died, but they're way more powerful than before. I feel like a powerhouse on steroids!

"What are we going to do once we get to Stark Tower?" I asked him seriously. He looked at me gravely before responding with defeat.

"The only place we really can go. The Ghost Zone," He answered over the roar of the wind.

"Isn't that a good thing? She can grow up safe from the GIW and Shield. We can be together without worrying about social security. Shouldn't you be happy about that?" I asked him worriedly and he scratched the back of his snow white locks in frustration.

"It's just that...I kinda hoped that we'd have more time. This was supposed to be a last resort sort of thing, you know? I wanted some time for closure and a head's up for some people before we went AWOL on them," he explained and I nodded in understanding.

At first, I wouldn't have cared so much about saying my goodbyes since I didn't really have anyone to give them to. Now that I think about it, I don't want to leave the Avengers without a proper goodbye.

Once we got to the Tower, we quickly phased inside invisibly just in case they were waiting for us. There was a group of agents positioned at the entrance of the Tower, ready to take us out with a lot of guns. Before I had time to ask Danny what our plan of action would be, he overshadowed one of the guards for a moment. Confusedly, I waited near one of the air ducts in case they spot me and I need to make a quick get away if things go wrong.

After several long moments of waiting, Danny phases out of the guard and looks around for me until he notices me near the air duct. I follow him inside and he explains that they're planning on interrogating us and the Avengers, taking Teresa away, and getting the Tesseract back. Somehow, they found out that the Tesseract wasn't destroyed, but was under the Avengers' possession. They wanted to conduct experiments on the child after finding residual traces of Tesseract energy on her.

"Do you know where they're keeping her?" I asked him worriedly. My maternal instincts were on high alert. Huh, never thought I'd think something like that for a long time...or ever. He nodded with determination in his eyes of toxic and neon green energy.

"Yeah, they're in Tony's penthouse, but they have Teresa in one of his labs,"

"Alright, I'll get Teresa out of there and meet you in my room...but then what?" He shook his head in protest.

"No, I'll go get her. It's too dangerous for you, especially since you just got your ghost powers. You might not be able to keep a hold on your powers, and then they'd get both of you," I glared at him indignantly.

"I can handle them even without having control over my powers," he fixed me with a calm expression.

"But are you really willing to risk our daughter's life on that?" I stopped for a moment and thought it through. He has a a point. I'm not even sure if I would want to do that. I sighed heavily, and pursing my lips in frustration before admitting defeat.

"I'll get my stuff, then," I relented, but before he could leave me, I grabbed his hand. "but please be careful. I need you both to come back in one piece," He smiled reassuringly with one of his heart stopping smiles.

"I will, and I know you'll be okay, too. They could also be surrounding your room in case you come back. Stay intangible and invisible. They're your best bet at keeping you safe and stealthy," Danny reminded me and I nodded in understanding. Neither of us can get caught no matter what. As if sensing my thoughts, he cupped my face in his gloved palms, staring deeply into my cyan blue eyes intensely.

"If I get caught, then you need to get her out of here and escape into the Ghost Zone. Clockwork will come looking for you, but you need to disappear," He stated sternly and I shook my head in protest.

"But-" He took my hands in his and squeezed them in comfort.

"No, buts. They won't hesitate to take us down if we try to escape. I need you to promise me that you'll protect her," his pleading emerald eyes were my main weakness. I nodded as I realized the full magnitude of what we were about to do. Once we escaped, we'd be fugitives. There was no going back after this.

"Where are we going to meet? You have to give her to me if we're gonna escape together, and you get caught..." I trailed off uncertainly. I more or less promised to leave him behind if he gets caught, so we're going to need to meet in order for me to get her to safety.

"We'll meet up in this air duct. Good luck, Kisha. I love you." He whispered softly and he kissed my lips. Even though it chaste and quick, it felt as sweet as pure vanilla bean soft serve ice cream.
