I'm so sorry this is late! I am also really sorry for not updating when I said I would, but you know how it is. These past few weeks (hang on, it was only weeks?!) have gone so quickly! And yes, I enjoyed my writing holiday...
Also, this is the (very short) last chapter of The Prankster Kings, and I won't make an epilogue (sob, sob). I would like to thank all of my reviewers, favouriters and followers - you guys don't know how awesome you are!
But anyway, here it is; the last chapter of The Prankster Kings Have Been Over Throned! Enjoy!
The student body of Hogwarts gathered in the Great Hall, Hermione noted. The two weeks had gone by quickly, and soon the competition was at an end. (Much to the relief of the teachers.)
In the few weeks, the Rainbow Cookies had grown closer - Ron and Draco could actually have a civil conversation by the end of the competition - due to the fact that if they didn't work together, they never would have made Snape and Umbridge fall in love... Or turn the latter into a giant, pink toad.
All of a sudden, Hermione was jerked out of her musings by bright, flashing disco-style lights, a disco ball and the Great Hall's doors banging open.
Two figures wearing hideous, garish robes emerged from the mist around the oak doors, wearing skates, bright orange hair and identical ear-to-ear grins. They were pulling some 70's-style dance moves while they skated around the Great Hall, then stopping in the centre and bowing, to much applause.
"You can start the party now, folks, 'cause we're here!" the Weasley twins shouted jubilantly.
Snape stood up at the Head Table, knocking his chair over. "I knew I love you, Delores!" He shouted, instead of saying what he was going to say; "I knew it!" The toad in question looked at the (potion-induced) love of her life with fluttering eyelashes, as Snape righted his chair and sat down again.
Ew, Hermione thought. That is just plain disturbing.
Grinning, Fred cleared his throat, averting everyone's attention back to the twins. "Well, wasn't that... Enlightening..." He said, making a face.
"Indeed, my dear brother," George agreed. "But we have winners to announce. So, let the show begin!"
There was a loud clap of thunder, and glitter rained from the sunny ceiling. All of the students suddenly realised that they had roller-skates on their feet, and began wobbling around on them. From the Rainbow Cookies, Harry and Hermione, having more experience than the two Purebloods, helped Ron and Draco (respectively) to their feet and lead them, wobbling, around the Great Hall.
When the students had settled down, and more words were exchanged between the twins, the winners were about to be announced.
"Ladies and gentlemen-"
"Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs-"
"Don't forget the Slytherins and the staff!-"
"Yes, yes, Gred. Well, whoever you are-"
"THE TIME YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR IS UPON US!" They shouted in sync.
"The winner of the Hogwarts Pranking Challenge is..."
The lights were dimmed, and the twins surveyed everyone seriously.
"Drumroll please..."
There was much banging fists on tables and shouts. Dumbledore could even be seen stomping his feet. After about 2 minutes, one of the twins - George, it was later revealed - spoke up. (It's about time!, Hermione was thinking. But, when does the twins ever do anything without a bit of jazz?...)
"The winners, ladies and gentlemen-"
"Forge, we have already been through this-"
"Oh yeah. ANYWAY, the winners are..."
"THE RAINBOW COOKIES!"
Yup. And there we have it! I hope the ending wasn't too sloppy... I won't be making an epilogue, just so you know. I will not break this time!
It has been (almost!) 5 months, 10 chapters about 7,000 words, 36 reviews, 21 follows, 12 faves, 2,376 views and loads of ideas... WE MADE IT!
A massive, ginormous, colossal THANK YOU to all of my reviewers, followers and favouriters! I love you all so much, and I couldn't have done it without y'all! KISSES!
That is all! Check out my other stories, if you wish, and I will see ya next time!
