"One of my descendants... swore to be a vassal to Rixon." Nora started, "and since I'm his female descendant Rixon can sacrifice me in order to become human, which is why he visited us at the motel."
Patch looked into Nora's gray eyes. For once, he finally felt like his life was getting slightly better after Nora past away, but now it seemed to crumble again. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed in exasperation. He closed his eyes and leaned his head on the head rest of his seat. Patch took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Although he had so many thoughts running through his head, he knew one thing for sure.
He had to protect Nora from Rixon. Patch couldn't risk losing her all over again. He might as well go with her if anything ever happened to her. His heart started to swell when thoughts of losing her all over again started to torment him. His easy breathing started to become labored. This was way to much information for Patch to process in such a little time. His head started to pound as he gripped his hair in frustration. Within that frustration, Patch felt Nora's warm, smooth hand on his right arm. She slowly started to draw soothing circles on his arm. She could sense his distress.
Within a few seconds, Patch opened his eyes and looked back into Nora's eyes. "So what you're saying is although I brought you back to life, we have to fight for you to stay alive so some Fallen Angel doesn't become human?"
Nora nodded.
"Isn't there any way to get rid of Rixon? I just got you back." Patch whispered. He brought his left hand to her cheek and stroked it. He couldn't lose her again. That would be more agonizing then the first time. Nora closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. She let out a sigh of content as she enjoyed his soft touch.
"There is a way. But I don't know how we would pull it off." Nora replied. With this she opened her gray eyes and looked into Patch's dark orbs. His facial expression went from grim to curious in an instant.
"What is it Nora?" He inquired. He placed his other hand on her open cheek as he regarded her.
"We would have to find his feather and burn it. With burning his feather it chain Rixon into the pits of hell," Nora explained, "but I don't know where he would keep his feather. That's the thing that I'm not sure how we would pull that off."
It was quiet for a few seconds. Nora and Patch starred into each others eyes as they thought about their options. Patch was the first one to speak.
"If that's the only to get rid of him.. then let's do it."
"Do you realize how dangerous this could be? There is so much more to this than you think." Nora informed.
"But if it's the only way Angel, I want to do this. I want to keep you safe. As I said before, I just got you back. I can't lose you again." Patch wrapped Nora into his arms and pressed her to his chest. He held on tightly to her as he placed his head on top of hers. He inhaled her sweet scent of lilac. Nora embraced Patch's torso in response. Her throat started to swell as tears started to swell in her eyes.
"Patch, you won't ever lose me again." Nora said with a lump in her throat, "but what if I lose you? How could I survive without you? You have always been my rock. I can't stand the thought of walking this world without you besides me."
Patch smiled at this. "Well it's a good thing that I'm stubborn and that I like to stick around, huh?"
Nora laughed.
"So, are we going to destroy this bastard or not?"
Nora pushed Patch away so that she could look at him. He was as memorizing as when she first met him. Black shaggy hair, dark mysterious eyes, a sexy smile, gorgeous tan skin, and that look of defiance that he always wore. This was something that she could close her eyes and remember this image for a life time.
Slowly, Nora nodded her head.
Patch smirked but then it slightly faltered.
"Now that we solved one problem, here's another one for you. How do we find him?"
Now it was Nora's turn to smirk, "I think I know a person who might know.."
I wonder who that person could be? ;) I really hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter!
Please review and let me know what you think and tell me who think the mystery person is!
Once again, thank you! Love,
Lee
