Hey guys did you miss me?

*silence*

Yeah I thought so, sorry for the hiatus, I actually planned on posting mid-summer instead of Halloween time. As you all know that didn't work out, but I have a legitimate reason!

Exam results...

Okay before you guys say anything I couldn't work at all in fear of my results, they decide my future education for crying out loud! Now I'm in a sixth-form I have responsibilities that I'm ignoring (damn you procrastination) for your enjoyment. I do actually need this for my broken sanity as well.

The poll as it stands:

Robin-7 (Mr Popular over here)

Chrom-4

Libra-1

Stahl-1

And now ONWARD FIC!

"What the hell!?"

I shouted in frustration at my blocked path, all had been going well when traveling the snowy winter wonderland-ish forest until we, Snowfire and I, came across an old wooden bridge with a scruffy middle-aged man. The man certainly didn't look like he owned his own clothes, let alone the bridge, his pants seemed too small while his shirt and coat seemed too big for his stubby frame, and he was filthy, you'd think that he could've used the stream to clean himself up! I hollered at the man, "I'm not paying fifty gold to cross this stupid bridge!"

"Well then you ain't crossin' aren't ya."

Bastard.

"Do you really expect me to believe you own this hunk of timber?"

Wrinkles on his forehead creased as he frowned, pondering how to answer back. Trying with all my might not to face palm at his idiocy there was a silence, my mood dropping further with each passing second as I heard the occupant in my mind scream in frustration. Finally he seemed to brighten as he came up with a response, "Well I s'pose so, that's why we 'ere are talkin' right?"

Is he hammered or is he actually that bloody stupid?

This is why some people should not procreate.

You're not helping.

I turn to look at the river, as by river I mean a small stream, I realise I could easily jump over it without need of Snowfire. The man notices my turned gaze and starts to sweat nervously, he quickly darts forward to get to one of the saddlebags, and in a reflexive action I grab him by his collar, draw my kunai and held it against his throat. The man lets out a yelp in surprise, he probably thought himself as fast enough to get away with it too, and he starts to beg. Constantly saying, 'was only lookin', nothin' wrong in that' and empty promises of how he'll stop and how he'll turn himself in.

Another wave of anger washed over me, doing my best not to shout at him I stated calmly "Look here you rat, I'm not gonna kill you. But if you try that again on anyone else you'll get what's coming to ya, you understand me?"

"Yes miss! Sorry miss!"

With that I let him go, he scampers off towards where I'm guessing the village I just left is; I climb back atop my horse and continued my way over the bridge back into the pine forest.

In a few hours with the sun beginning to set I searched for a clearing to stay the night. Luckily I found a rather sheltered area large enough for both Snowfire and I could stay in, after some foraging I returned to the spot with firewood and berries. At the instruction of the rather annoyed consciousness I managed to build a fire, using magic of course, leading to me dropping myself next to my horse with my food. As the sunlight finally disappeared I readied myself for sleep.

And that was when I heard footsteps nearby.

Quietly drawing my sword I assumed a low crouching position, my breath visible and swirling into the air I strain my ears for anything other than the crackling fire. A minute passed ever so slowly, I consider the fact that I was tired and only hearing things.

A branch snaps a small distance away, more footsteps.
I tense, the footsteps come closer, little can be seen in the darkness beyond the clearing, closer I can hear the crunching sound of footsteps over snow. Suddenly I notice the silhouette of a figure possibly creating the sound, I strain my eyes in the darkness to get a better view but it seemed they are wearing dark clothes. It was then I notice the familiar glint of a blade by the figures side, they had stopped in their tracks, looking around as if lost.

Who the hell would wander in these woods at night?

Huh? How do you mean?

At that moment I heard a distant howl of a wolf, my silent question answered the figure seemed to shiver, from cold or fear I did not know. Realising that whoever the figure was needed help I stood up fully and called out to them, "Hey, you okay?"

What the hell did you do that for?!

In a blink of an eye the figure turned to me and drew their sword, they paused for a moment as I made no move towards them; then they called out, "Who are you?"

Huh? Why is that woman deepening her voice?

Shocked by the fact pointed out I said aloud to myself, "Marth? Is that you?"

The masked warrior stepped forward in the light; her lips formed a frown, Falchion gleaming in the firelight, and her short blue hair frosted slightly. I stood still in confusion, why is she here?

"How do you know my name?"

Yep a shorter chapter than normal, but then again its only part 1 of the journey! Thanks guys for reviewing, voting, and liking the story I hope you all continue to do this so I can improve. Also guys in terms of voting you cannot: Vote multiple times (it's unfair and it would be a pain to sort), and Change your vote-unless you use your account, this is because I wouldn't know if it is actually you.

Don't worry about posting, the next few chapters will happen in a few days/weeks of each other so don't get upset about cliff-hangers please, also I may post some other fics so this may not be posted on weeks expected to.
Hopefully I post a chapter once a fortnight, i.e. once every two weeks, please continue to review, vote, and if you especially like this story follow/fave it.
