Chapter ten Harrys Pov

" Morning." I said shaking Fred awake.

George had been the one to wake me up and he was now trying to wake Lee. He got up and walked into the bathroom not noticing the owl in its cage in the middle of the room. When he came back out again the rest of us had been joined by Katie and Hermione and we were all sat in a circle once more. I had put a red bow on the top of the cage as I knew full well it was Freds favourite colour.

" Woah whos is that owl?" He asked astonished.

" Its in your presents mate." Lee pointed out.

" Wicked." He grinned.

" Fred you start then." George said.

He sat down and looked at the label on the cage.

" THANKS HARRY!"

" No problem."

" What are you going to call her?" Katie asked.

" Er... Holly."

" Pretty good name."

" George you next." Hermione said.

He opened the present I had gotten him which was a photo album full of photos of us that Colin had helped me make and some new clothes and a muggle laptop which I had charmed to make work around magic and some films.

" Thanks Ry."

" No problem."

" Harry isn't that laptop worth four hundred in the muggle world?" Hermione asked me.

" Maybe."

" Harry!"

" What?"

" You shouldn't have spent that much money on me!" George protested.

" Well I have more money I could ever spend in my trust vault alone."

George leant over and whispered something in my ear.

" Really?" I asked absolutely gobsmacked.

" Really really."

" Merlin." I said faintly.

He snapped his fingers in front of my face.

" Sorry."

" Harry its your go." Lee said.

" You guys can go before me."

" Alright."

Lee began to open the present I had gotten him. It was a sneakascope and a box of pranks. Hermione then went and I got her a collection of all the muggle classics as well as the lord of the rings.

" Oh Harry they're amazing."

For Katie I had bought a handbag and some hair accessories.

" Thanks Harry."

I opened the gift that George had gotten me. I stared at it wondering whether it was true. Was it what I thought it was? It was nestled in a blue silk cushion and I looked from the ring to George. He gently took it from my hands and held the box open in his hands. He bent down on one knee and looked into my eyes. I had completely forgotten that there were others in the room.

" Harry will you when you turn seventeen marry me?" He asked.

I gasped.

" Yes." I whispered.

He placed the ring on my finger and span me around. I grabbed him into a massive hug. In the wizarding world soul mates could get engaged at any point after the age of eleven and married as soon as they turn seventeen. My mind was racing as I stared at George. In three years maybe a little more he wanted to marry me. I beamed at him. I leant forward and kissed him fully on the lips and it felt like the first kiss all over again. I didn't realise ever since George had knelt down Fred had been taking photos.

Hermione was beaming and came over and hugged me. Katie beamed at me and ran over and pulled both me and Hermione who was still hugging me into a hug. I was nearly crying with joy. George had proposed to me! He had proposed to me! This was the happiest moment of my life.

" Awwwwwww Harry!"

" Awww my little brothers growing up." Katie cooed.

" Good on you George!" Fred cried.

" Well done mate!" Lee called.

Angelina and Alicia ran in to see what the commotion was and were followed by Ginny and Luna who had been allowed in the Gryffindor rooms for Christmas as she would be going to the ball as well. Ginny had been asked by Neville and Luna had been asked by Fred.

" Awwww Harry I'm so happy for you." Luna cried and pulled me into a hug as she was the only one who had noticed the ring.

" What's happening?" Angelina asked.

" George just proposed to Harry for when he turns seventeen." Hermione told them.

" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" The two chasers had squealed in unison.

" Awwwww Harry!" Ginny had cooed.

I blushed and looked down at the ring. It was a simple yet beautiful ring. It was silver and plain yet amazing.

" It has a carving on the inside." George told me.

I took it off and looked in and saw the words George and Harry forever in really small writing. It was then that something flashed to the front of my mind. I had spoken to one of the goblins and he had gotten it for me from one of the Potter vaults with heirlooms.

" One second." I cried running out of the dorm.

I ran into my dorm and searched in my trunk and when I found it I put it in my pocket and ran back to the dorm where everyone looked confused. I passed the little box and passed it to George. He opened it and gasped.

" When?" He whispered into my ear.

" A few months ago. It belonged to my Dad and I did debate buying you one but I thought by giving you this one it would prove how much you meant to me." I whispered.

" Harry." He said.

He kissed me in front of everyone and a few of them wolf whistled. I threaded my fingers through his hair and he nibbled playfully on my bottom lip. I wrapped my arms around him and we both panting when we pulled apart and I blushed knowing that everyone had seen even though at the time I had forgotten anyone was there.

" Shall we go back to opening presents?" Lee asked.

" Yeah alright." George and I agreed.

" Luna,Ginny, Angelina, Alicia you are all free to join us." Fred said.

" We'll be right back."

They came back in and brought their presents with them. We all sat down and shuffled backwards grabbing our presents and making the circle bigger. Holly was flying overhead happily.

We had a great time opening the presents. I ended up with a whole load of stuff and Lucy had even got me a gift. I had gotten her one but I never expected one from her. It was a muggle stress ball with a massive smiley face.

" Is that...?" Hermione asked.

" Yeah?"

" Who's it from?"

" Lucy."

" The woman who barged into Snapes classroom,made him angry, escorted you out and left leaving a gobsmacked Snape?"

" The one and the same."

" Woah I need to hear this story." Lee laughed.

In the end I had quite a few presents and I had gotten another green sweater from Mrs Weasley. This one had a dragon on the front and I wondered whether Charlie had told her about it. I concluded that he must have and put it on. Hermione had gotten me a new pair of trainers as the ones I had gotten a few christmases ago were starting to kill my feet as they were small.

Luna had made me a few outfits for Liam and I didn't remember telling her about him but she knew anyway. I had bought her a muggle build a bear wearing a skirt and a top and I had spent ages making the bear some spectraspecks. Katie had gotten me a hoodie.

From Angelina and Alicia I got books. Fred had gotten me some new jeans and I wasn't even going to ask how he got into my trunk and found out my size as George didn't know either. Lee had gotten me a couple of charms books. Hagrid had sent me a book of songs.

" Why has he sent you that?" George asked.

" Harry's a great singer." Hermione said.

" How do you know I never sang in front of you?" I asked confused.

" Hannah told me you were good."

" Are you?" Fred asked.

" No." I said.

" I'm sure you're being modest." Lee said.

" I don't think I can sing."

" Go on then." Angelina said.

" What?"

" Sing." Alicia said.

" Really?" I asked.

Everyone nodded.

" It doesn't matter."

" Sing." They demanded.

" Do I have to?"

" Yes." Fred told me and the others nodded in firm agreement.

" I told the man at the railway station,

I want a ticket just for one.

He said well if you insist where d'you wanna go miss?

Oooooh destination anywhere.

He looked at me with a funny face and said " Are you sure you wanna go just any place?"

I said if you ever loved someone the way I loved that man then surely Mr Ticket Agent you would understand.

As I stared through the window of the train I thought I heard my baby call my name.

But it was just the constructor saying which stop would you prefer?

Because if it did it would swing both ways and I would go right back to happy yesterdays

When my baby loved me and kissed me tenderly.

Ooooooh.

" That was brilliant!"

" No." I said.

" It was you have talent!" Fred said.

" No I don't."

" You do."

" I don't."

That argument carried on for a while.

A few hours later.

A few hours later Katie got hold of my robes and a box of something that I didn't manage to see and pulled me out of their dorm. She took me into hers and the other girls were there. Including Leanne, Jade, Sarah, April and Cleo.

I took my wand from my pocket and cast a permanent sticking charm to keep me from loosing the ring and it was assigned to my magical signature. Katie pushed me onto one of the chairs and placed me in the middle of the room.

" I'm on hair." Katie said.

" Contacts." Leanne cried.

" I'll help on hair." Jade cried.

" Finger nails need to be neatened." Cleo said.

" I'll check to make sure the outfit is crumple free." April declared.

" I am working on making the shoes sparkling clean." Sarah told them.

" Er...?"

" Harry go and shower in there." Leanne said.

" Katie do you have some gloves or something?" I asked.

" Here." She said.

" Thanks."

" Here's your towel." April said.

" Thanks."

" When you come back out we'll start." Cleo declared.

Katie's Pov

" Katie what were the gloves for?" Jade asked.

" George proposed to Harry this morning."

" Awwww." The girls sighed in unison.

" It was beautiful you should have seen Harry's face he couldn't believe it and George was looking deep into Harrys eyes and Harry could barely force the word yes out he was so shocked. Then George nearly cried with joy and span Harry around before kissing him." I told them.

" Its so romantic." Cleo giggled.

" Proposed to on Christmas day." Jade sighed.

Harry's Pov

While in the shower I was thinking about the wedding. I knew I would be the one walking down the isle as shy as I was to admit it I had looked it up. The youngest male would be walked up the isle by their father but still have a best man to stand by them and I was hoping Lee would be mine. George would obviously pick Fred.

When I was done showering I got changed and walked back into their dorm. Jade forced me into the chair and they all surrounded me and my hair was automatically dried by Katie. Katie and Jade began working on my hair and spraying it.

Leanne took my glasses from me and placed them to one side. She then took the little tub Katie had brought from my dorm and carefully poked the contacts into my eyes and I blinked as they fell into place. Leanne beamed and I thanked her. I could feel my hair being brushed and my nails cut and filed.

" Done!" They cried thirty minutes later.

" Put these on." April told me.

" Alright."

Sarah handed me the shoes and tied the shoe laces declaring if I did it I would crumple the outfit. I looked in the mirror and gasped. My hair fell smooth around my face. Someone had cut it slightly. It framed my face and my eyes were piercing. My shoes were so shiny I could see my reflection in them and my robes were nice and neat.

" Who cut it?"

" Me." Jade said.

" Its awesome thanks everyone."

" No problem." They chorused.

" So you girls need to get ready so who needs my help?" I asked.

" Well can you help with my hair first?" Jade asked.

" Sure."

" I have these magical straighteners can you straighten my hair?"

" Sure."

I straightened her hair and then tied Leanne's into a bun. I brushed Katie's out and helped curl it. I brushed Sarah's as she was just having it down. I helped do Sarah's in corkscrew curls and then pin it back. I brushed Aprils out and then helped her put a pink flower clip in it that matched her dress.

" Harry can you help with my make up you did pretty good on George and Fred that time."

" Alright."

Katie sat in the chair and I peered into the make up bag. I rummaged around in it and found a pale lipgloss, a very light coloured blush and a mascara and started applying to Katies face carefully. The other girls were doing each others as there wouldn't be time for me to help do all of theirs.

" I went for a sort of natural look for you as you don't need make up your beautiful and Lee loves you." I told her.

" Harry you did an amazing job!" All the other girls cried.

I steered Katie over to the mirror and she gasped.

" I look nice."

" You always look nice Sis."

" Thanks Harry."

I helped her zip up her blue dress and smiled. She looked amazing. I then helped the other girls zip up theirs and they all looked really good.

" You all look amazing." I told them.

" Thanks." They all said.

We checked the time and saw it was about time we met our dates. All the other girls left and Katie cast me a smile before she walked out and I took a deep breath. I stepped out and George turned to look at me and beamed.

" You look amazing Harry." He gasped.

" You look great." I said a blush spreading across my cheeks.

He took my hand and we met Fred and Luna. They were going as friends as Fred had wanted to ask Hermione but Viktor Krum had asked her. Fred had found me and asked me to ask her whether she had a date. Fred had been upset but then found Luna. Luna had looked at him and said she understood that he wanted to go with Hermione but as neither of them were going with who they wanted going as friends would be fine.

Lee was trying to stutter a complement to Katie but was having a bit of trouble finding his words as he gaped open mouthed at her. We walked down and most of the couples were going into the hall. We bid goodbye to the others and waited outside the hall.

" Hey Hermione."

" Hey Harry, George!"

" You look really good 'Mione." I told her.

" Aww thanks Harry you looked good as well brother and the blush on your cheeks compliments it."

That comment made me blush harder and for the others to laugh. Fleurs date was the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain Roger Davies. Cedric had brought a Ravenclaw by the name of Cho Chang and I remembered playing her in Quidditch last year.

" Ah there you are. Mr Potter, Mr Weasley congratulations Mr Weasley and Mr Jordan just told me."

" Thanks Professor!" George cried.

" Thanks Ma'am."

" Congratulations on what?" Cedric asked.

" George proposed to Harry this morning it was beautiful to witness." Hermione told him.

" Well congratulations."

The music started playing and we walked in our pairs through the hall. We walked in holding hands. I caught sight of the others waving at us and I beamed at them. George placed his hands on my waist and when the music began we danced. More and more couples joined us after a few minutes.

After an hour we sat down and we were joined by the others and Percy.

" Hey Percy!"

" Hello Harry."

" What are you doing here?"

" Mr Crouch is most unwell I am filling in for him."

" Oh."

" What's that?" He asked.

" Its er..."

" Congratulations!" He cried.

" Thanks Perce." George said.

" When did this happen?"

" This morning." I told him.

" Does Mother know?"

" No not yet." George told him.

" How are you going to tell her?"

" I don't know. Owl seems a bit of a bad way and she will go mental if we wait until summer."

" I have an idea." I stated.

" Whats that?"

" What if we ask Dumbledore if at some point your parents can come and visit us."

" Perfect."

I leant over and whispered something in Georges ear and he beamed at me and nodded.

" Percy?"

" Yes Harry?"

" Well at the wedding I'll be the one who walks down the isle as the youngest and would you walk me down it?" I asked him shyly.

" I'd be delighted too!"

" Thanks."

I then squeezed Georges hand and walked over to Lee.

" Lee?"

" Yes Harry?"

" At the wedding will you be my best man?" I asked shyly.

" I would love to." He said hugging me.

" Thanks."

I walked back over to George and slid in next to him. Katie hadn't heard me ask him and leant over to talk to him. Lee was beaming. He told her and she beamed aswell. I was glad I had gotten that out of the way. Even if it was around three years until the wedding I wanted to know incase I had to spend a long time thinking about it.

" Want to dance the weird sisters are coming on?" George asked me.

" Of course do you still have that weird sisters signed cd?"

" Of course love."

" Wicked."

We walked onto the dance floor and as it wasn't really soft music more rock music we jumped up and down and George span me around again and again even if it didn't fit with the music neither of us saw Fred sneak towards the stage when they were on the break.

When they came back on again the main singer went up towards the microphone and Fred was sat back next to Luna who was chatting to Ginny and Hermione.

" I would like to make an announcement!" The singer said.

Everyone turned to look at him.

" I would like to say a massive congratulations to Harry Potter and George Weasley on their engagement!"

Everyone turned to look at us. We turned to look at the grinning Fred. People started cheering and we both blushed.

" Also thanks to Fred Weasley for telling me this!"

Fred bowed.

" Alright on with the music!"

Do the Hippogriff started playing and we jumped around to it.

When the night ended at midnight they played one last song and everyone started filing out. However George led me over to Dumbledore.

" Professor could you call my Mum and Dad up to school tomorrow?"

" Of course."

" Its just I felt it not exactly best to tell them in a letter and Mum would go mental if I waited until summer especially when the news gets out which will be pretty soon as Ludo Bagman knows and well..."

" Of course Mr Weasley you and Mr Potter come to my office around midday is that okay for you? Also Mr Weasley did Harry tell you about Sirius's innocence?"

" Yes sir."

" Alright Harry do you want to invite him?"

" No way!"

" Oh why ever not?"

" He's horrid and no offence to him I know he's my godfather and all but I don't really want anything to do with him."

" Alright but Professor Lupin has to be told though."

" Why?" George asked.

" As he was good friends with Harry's parents I think it might help."

" Does he have to?"

" Yes."

" Fine then."

" Very well. Come to my office at midday."

" Yes Professor thank you." I said.

" Your welcome."

We hurried from the hall and into the common room telling the Fat Lady the password. She bid us a happy Christmas and we wished her the same before entering the common room. We walked up to the dorm and I kicked my shoes off and Lee came in a moment later.

" Guys is it alright if Katie spends the night?" He asked.

" No problem Harry stays so why can't Katie?" Fred said.

" Thanks."

He came in a few moments later with Katie who was holding her pyjamas and she smiled before slipping into the bathroom to change and to wash her make up off. She came back out with her hair tied in a pony tail and she smiled at us before going into bed beside Lee.

I got in with George and curled up with him. He pressed a kiss to my head sleepily. I put my feet between his calves as his legs were warm and my feet were ice cold. He shivered and turned to look at me.

" Why did you have to put your cold feet there?" He asked.

" Because you're warm."

" Fine." He grumbled.

" Don't be mad Georgie."

" I'm not now go to sleep." He said kissing my nose.

" Fine."

" Good."

He had his arms wrapped around me tightly. I sighed breathing in his familiar scent finding it hard to sleep. My mind was racing and I was happy. George had proposed to me making this the best day of my life ever. I sighed burying my face into his chest before falling asleep.

AN: Ironically enough I wrote this last year, and this morning my cousin got engaged. Hmm, weird. The second engagement in our family within four or five months.
