Samantha and Ruilmon were in Samantha's room, sitting on her bed, thinking about what their parents, Leo and Wizardmon had told them.

"I hope we can save Kakeru and Genamon from Spectermon's influence." Samantha said, thinking back to how powerful Kakeru and Genamon were, before saying, disgusted. "I still cannot believe what Lucemon told him, that our parents didn't care about them and just abandoned them.

Ruilmon nodded, agreeing with her Tamer, before she replied. "I know exactly how you feel, Sammy. We must find them and tell them the truth."

"Then why are we just sitting around?" Samantha asked.

"Let's go to the Digital World and find them." She then said in a determined tone.

"But we don't even know where they are." Ruilmon said, only to then notice Samantha had a certain look on her face.

"We don't, but Leo's dad might." Samantha said, before she explained."The disk. Wizardmon did give us a data disk to where we could find them and Spectermon. And I bet if anybody can decode it for us, it's Henry Wong."

"Right. So we should check up with them tomorrow." Ruilmon said, which caused Samantha to nod in reply, before she lay her head on her pillow and soon drifted off to sleep, followed by Ruilmon, who curled up at the end of Samantha's bed.

Both knew they had a tough path ahead of them, but with their friends and family, they knew they could stop Spectermon and save their brothers.

-The next morning-

After arriving at the Wong's household, Samantha and the others waited patiently for Henry to finish his search.

Luckily, they didn't have to wait too long, thanks to Henry's skills with computers, to which he and Terriermon then emerged from his office and he told them. "We got them! We finally tracked down Spectermon."

"Really, dad?" Leo asked.

His question made Henry nod, before he replied. "They are at the dark reaches of the Digital World. It was also the area where we first fought the D-Reaper, and the reason we couldn't track them before was because of residual data from the D-Reaper, which concealed the area around making it appear as if the area didn't exist."

"But now we can put this info into our Digi-portals and head there." Terriermon added.

"And if Spectermon is there" Takato said, to which Guilmon then finished. "Genamon and Kakeru will be with him."

"Then what are we're waiting for?" Suzie asked in determination. "Let's go get them!"

"Opening the digital portal now!" Terriermon announced, before the computer glowed and all the Tamers, old and new, entered it, returning to the Digital World.

-Moments later-

Arriving in the Digital World, the group found they were just on the outskirts of the wastelands, just outside to where the D-Reaper had first appeared.

"I can feel nothing but evil all around us." Beelzemon stated, drawing his shotguns just in case they were ambushed by Spectermon or any traps he had set.

"Yeah. No doubt we'll find Spectermon's hiding place soon." Jeri said, her tone and expression showing she was somewhat afraid.

"And when we do, we'll crush him." Cyberdramon stated, feeling his desire to fight kicking in.

However, while all wanted to achieve the same goal, Ruilmon tensed up when she sensed a powerful aura, making her turn to the opposite direction.

"What's wrong, Ruilmon?" Samantha asked.

"I sense Genamon. He's nearby." Ruilmon replied.

"I see... then that means Kakeru's not far either." Samantha whispered.

"But I sensed another Digimon with them. It must be that Digimon Wizardmon told us about, Lucemon." Ruilmon said, snarling at the name as she clenched her hand into a fist.

"I don't want everyone to be involved, even mum and dad, so let's sneak off. This time we'll be ready." Samantha whispered, feeling like it was her responsibility to help her brother realize he had been lied to and was being used, causing Ruilmon to nod, feeling the same way toward Genamon and watched as Samantha withdrew her D-power.

"Digi-Modify. Hyper Wings activate!" Samantha announced, slashing the Card through her D-Power, which caused white wings to then sprout from Ruilmon's back.

And after Ruilmon'd Data had been altered, she grabbed Samantha and flew off without anyone noticing.

Well... almost everyone, as Guilmon took a sneak peak of them leaving.

"The castle shouldn't be far from here." Terriermon spoke up, as he pointed the opposite direction of Samantha's path.

"This way." He then called, pointing forward from atop Henry's shoulder, before his Tamer began to head off.

However, as the others began to walk off, Guilmon then stopped and placed his hand on Renamon's shoulder, making her turn to face him, as did Takato and Rika.

"Guilmon, what's wrong?" Renamon asked.

"I saw Samantha and Ruilmon fly off somewhere, towards that familiar power level. It's Genamon. I'm sure of it!" Guilmon replied, he too sensing the negative energy Ruilmon had picked up on.

"You're right. My D-Power is activating to their signal. Kakeru must be over there!" Takato said in reply, causing Rika to add. "Samantha might need our help. And if it's Kakeru, then we've got to tell them the truth!"

"Let's go!" Takato said, making the four turn around and follow the path where their children would be, hoping their daughters would be safe and that they could reach their sons.

-Meanwhile-

Samantha and Ruilmon landed in another part of the wasteland where they looked up atop of a rocky hill.

Thunderous clouds struck in the sky, while Samantha and Ruilmon looked up and saw Lucemon, Kakeru and Genamon, who were looking down at them, while, offside was Wizardmon, who had his arms crossed and his eyes closed, as if merely observing what would happen between the two sides.

"So you two finally showed up. I was right about you two coming to this location. You are becoming a nuisance, defeating all of us and getting in the way of my plans." Lucemon said.

"So you're Lucemon?" Samantha asked, glaring at the Digimon with a hate never seen in her before.

"We'll deal with you later!" Samantha snarled as she and Ruilmon turned their focus to Kakeru and Genamon.

"Yes. Your opponents will be these two. Finish them." Lucemon cackled as Kakeru and Genamon stepped forward.

"Kakeru!" Samantha called up to her brother.

"Genamon!" Ruilmon called afterwards.

"So you know our names. So what?" Kakeru asked.

"I don't know if fate brought us together like this but we now know who you are. You don't have to do this! Leave Lucemon and come back to us!" Samantha called out.

"Don't make me laugh. Lord Lucemon taught us so much. Why should we go to you?" Kakeru said crossly.

"He's deceiving you. But if you won't listen to reason, then you leave us with no choice but to make you understand through battle." Samantha replied, taking out her D-Power once again,while Ruilmon got before her Tamer and braced herself.

"What is so different about this time?" Genamon asked, before he told Samantha and Ruilmon. "Last time you couldn't even scratch us. You're so weak. You two cannot possibly defeat me then and you won't do now."

"It's true the first time we meet, you caught me off guard and you almost crushed me. This time, we've we have a motive to keep us fighting, so we won't lose to you again. This time we bring you back to the light!" Ruilmon stated.

"So you think you can beat us this time? But that's fine. This time, there's be no interruption. This time, Genamon will delete you both, right here, right now!" Kakeru said back, drawing out his D-Power.

"If it comes down to this, Kakeru, then we have no choice. This fight will decide everything." Samantha said, part of her hating what she and Ruilmon were about to do, but knew there was no other way.

"Matrix Digivolution!" Both Tamers exclaimed, releasing the energy from their D-Powers into their Digimon, allowing Ruilmon and Genamon to reach their Ultimate forms, TaoKrubbimon and WarKrowlmon.

'Two siblings about to clash with each other.' Lucemon thought, looking forward to seeing the pair engaged in combat, before his smile turned sinister and his thoughts grew darker.

'Well, no matter who wins, their Hazard power will be mine.'

'Alright, Samantha, let's see if you can make Kakeru and WarKrowlmon understand.' Wizardmon thought.

"We also have much to tell you, Kakeru. But I know you won't listen. If I win, you'll listen to what I say!" Samantha called out.

"Do as you want, but I will eliminate you both when I win." Kakeru said in reply.

With that said, both TaoKrubbimon and WarKrowlmon charged at each other and slammed their fists into the other, creating a shockwave.

Their battle had started.
