Chapter 10!
Sasuke lay with his arms under his head and eyes closed. During the holidays Hinata accepted his proposal with one sole condition, that it wasn't a hoax. Sasuke snorted at the idea of her condition, he wasn't the type of person to go back on his word, or make a fool of him-self. He was an Uchiha and Uchiha didn't just kiss anyone. At that thought he smirked.
Well, now that the easy part was over with he needed to focus on the hard part- getting Hiashi to accept him. Once, he got Hiashi's approval it was just the clan he needed to get to see he was sincere. Sincere, Sasuke snorted at the word, but he supposed that was the right word to use with dealing with the quiet girl, Hinata.
There was one way he could do that, but it was a long shot. And, his other ways weren't exactly going to get him accepted without trial and error. Sasuke turned on his side; eyes staring at nothing in particular once more; mind halting at that one solution. He turned once again before getting up and stretching, getting out of the bed.
Well, there was no point in staying still in thinking he needed to see Hinata. Unfortunately being the last Uchiha he got everyone's attention, attention he loathed.
"Hey! Teme," great it was the class clown, Naruto.
Sasuke didn't even bother to acknowledge him and continued to walk at his pace, but of course the dope was persistent. And, more than unwanted attention Sasuke hated the dope's persistence.
"What dope? I'm not in the mood for one of your games I'm busy."
"Tch," Naruto snorted. "You're always grumpy and not in the mood. Honestly, you sure you're not gay?"
Sasuke mood which was already falling dropped to freezing zero as he glared at Naruto, shoving the dope aside and stomping off. Damn dope was infuriating.
"Hey, Naruto," it was Shikamru. "Sasuke declined to play again? " Shikamru yawned; "what a drag. Well, later guys, I'm going cloud watching."
"What?" Kiba practically yelled. "Cloud watching again? Man, Shikamru you're lazier than me."
Choji munched on some chips. "If Shika not playing I'm not either," he begins to pick up some more chips and chew on them. "Later."
"Damn it, you guys!" Kiba yelled angrily before turning to Naruto. "Well, man sorry, if the guys not playing and stuck-up -Uchiha not joining us I'm out too. Say," he probed curiously; "Did you even asked Uchiha with the stick up his ass?"
Naruto laughed sheepishly; "Er, no."
Kiba wacked him on the head then sighed. "You're hopeless man."
Naruto grinned. "But, you loved me anyway."
Eww, man don't even go there."
Naruto just continued to grin.
Kiba grinned too," bye, man," he waves off as he walks away. "See you tomorrow."
Naruto nodded now along on the playground.
"OI! Oi, Naruto!"
Naruto turned around and grinned it was Sakura his cherry blossom.
Sasuke sighed as he saw Hinata's frame. He stopped under the tree she was leaning against. Hinata tried to smiled, but it wasn't reaching her eyes.
"What's the matter? Never mind," Sasuke said, pulling her to sit with him. They were shoulder to shoulder. The forest was quiet, no one uttered a word. He knew it was her father.
"Hinata?" Sasuke called the girl breaking the silence; "You didn't get a chance to tell your father did you?"
"Ano, no," Hinata answered softly.
Sasuke breathed in then out before stating his next words. "Let's go," he stood up holding out his hand; "let's go to your house."
Hinata froze. What to her house? Now? "Um, o—ok. Why though?"
Sasuke didn't even blink. "I want to talk to your father;" as they headed to the Hyūga compound those words never left Hinata's head.
Lo and beyond when they got there the first thing to have greeted them were the guards. They were quite surprise and suspicious of why the Uchiha was with the weak heiress but said nothing as they went to get Hiashi-sama.
Walking with all his Hyūga glory and stoic mask was Hiahsi Hyūga, father to Hianta and her younger sister Hanabi and head of the Hyūga clan.
"Hinata," he greeted uninterestedly.
"F-Father," Hinata greeted back politely as ever.
Hiashi didn't say a word as he noticed Sasuke. Sasuke remained stoic as well as he too looked at Hiashi, not furthering he spoke up. "Hiashi-sama."
Hiashi was quite interested to say the least. Uchiha Sasuke was in his home, not only that, but came with his daughter. "This is quite surprising; I never dreamed that Uchiha Sasuke would be in my home."
"I know this is sudden, Hiahi-sama," Sasuke insides were twisting at being so respectful, but he needed to this for Hinata and well…for himself, for the plan. "But, I wish to be with Hinata."
His ears were not deceiving him, but why his weak, fragile daughter Hinata? "Your declaration is admiring, but hardly worth pursuing. Why is it that you wish to be with my weak daughter? She will bring you down, surely you know this."
Sasuke bit the inside of his cheek. This man called his own daughter weak right in front of him. That really pissed him off, but he was not going to lose his cool here. "Sir, with all due respect," Sasuke refrained from growling as Hinata looked on the floor sadden. "Hinata is not weak; she is a strong and would become a fine kunoichi someday."
Sasuke relaxed his muscles as he continued to speak. "She will not bring me down. Once again, I know this is sudden, but on the deal that I be with your daughter, she will be even stronger and her goals to change the Hyūga will surpassed any expectations that you have planned out."
Hiashi had to commend it to the boy, he had guts and he came ready to give this speech of his. "Uchiha, Sasuke, you're saying if I allow this wish of yours – in my eyes and clan she will no longer be weak and fragile, but strong and she will exceed in becoming clan heir?"
Sasuke nodded; Hinata still looking downwards waiting anxiously for her father to say something.
Hiahsi looked at them both sternly as if watching prey. He didn't know everything or if the young Uchiha was planning something, but he needed to talk to his daughter alone- Now.
"Uchiha Sasuke returns tomorrow. I'll let you know of my answer then."
Sasuke nodded in acknowledgement and stood to leave.
"E-eh, g-good night, Sasuke-kun."
Sasuke with his hands in his pockets he turned over his shoulder and mouthed, "night Hinata," before leaving the Hyūga compound escorted out by a guard.
Hinata fidgeted when her father's gaze landed on her.
Meanwhile Naruto grinned as he ate his seventh bowl of ramen. "Honestly, baka how can you eat that?" Sakura asked disgusted with the ramen. "That's going to make you fat."
"Tch, ramen is good food, Sakura-Chan!" Naruto exclaimed as he put down his last bowl for the night.
They both stood and paid for the meals together and Naruto placed his arms behind his head in a lazy fashion grinning. "Thanks Sakura –chan...
Sakura huffed." Stop complimenting me so much, baka. You're going to make me forget Sasuke-kun."
Naruto grinned even wider. "You don't say beautiful cherry blossom? A flower needs lots of sun and you know," he suggested to his person, "I can be your sun."
Sakura wacked Naruto while blushing a little bit; "That pick up line was so corny, you, baka."
"Oww…Sakura-Chan," Naruto rubbed his head, but was still grinning. "But, it's true."
Sakura shook her head." What am I going to do with you?"
"Nothing," Naruto singed; "because I'm irreplaceable." He stuck out his tongue and ran.
Sakura shook, "oh its on, Naruto!"
Even after the holidays and receiving of Christmas gifts, Charles still couldn't forget the troll incident. He shook his head there was one good thing out of that incident- "Charles are you listening?"
"Er, yeah, Hermione, sure."
That's right what came out that incident was a friend, Hermione Granger.
"Awl, come on, Mione! Can't you explain it in simple terms?!" Ron asked, bellowing.
While the tree friends were studying, Leo wasn't. He was to his mom's house again for another weekend. "Hehe, you should have seen it mom! Mr. Uchiha was taking points left and right when he heard about it."
Megumi raised a brow. "What happened?"
Leo grinned.
"Hn, nothing much, sides that your son is trying to prevent his friends from being expelled."
Megumi looked between her son and Mr. Uchiha. "You don't say?"
Sasuke gritted his teeth as he headed home from training. That statement still ticked him off. How could her father just call her that? He clenched his fist, well if everything went well he would change that man's view of Hinata.
As, he entered the Uchiha district he couldn't help , but think he needed to become stronger himself and it wasn't just to kill Itachi either, it was for Hinata and himself as well.
"Hn," coming up with some type of plan he went to the scroll room which was dusty and held the air of neglect. The scroll room was huge and contained lots of Uchiha material, but there was something he was looking for then there was person he had to visit and frankly he didn't want to bother the person after all the person was none other than the Hokage.
"Hn, this is all for the plan. "
He didn't know what Hiashi answer would be tomorrow, but he just could not give up. Sasuke snorted, "I sound like the dope."
In an apartment a certain blond sneezed. "Sakura-Chan must be thinking about me."
Sakura was just dressing for bed; "Achoo... Urg, hope I'm not getting sick."
The next day at Hogwarts quidditch practices were starting and Leo refused to try out, stating he was going to sit with Hermione-bad idea.
"So, where do you go on the weekends, Leo?" Hermione probed.
Leo laughed sheepishly and played it off. "Can't a guy enjoy sleeping in on the weekends?"
Hermione nodded with a frown. "I guess."
Meanwhile Sasuke was grouchy and tired he finally figured out how to use those chakra papers, but he searched all night for some jutsu's on lightning, but found nothing which was strange since the Uchiha scroll room had so many scrolls. Hn, looks like he had to go to the Hokage as planned, but the bright side for now was that he was going to see Hinata.
Well, more to see her father and get his answer. When he arrived he was once again greeted by the guards. "This way, Uchiha," judging by the way they spoke they weren't please with yesterday's events. Sasuke scoffed, who cared? Not, like it would matter anyway they were just guards.
Sasuke sat waiting. Finally for what felt like hours, Hiashi entered the room with Hinata in tow smiling kindly with a blush.
"Uchiha Sasuke, you..."
